Heard a lot of good reviews from this place. We really had a yummy meal. However the place was not very aesthetically pleasing, but has good seating facilities. We tried the famous roast chicken, kadai chicken, roti and dal makhani

Tandoori chicken, fish and paneer were simply fabulous. All the hype is correct. Mutton was average. No dessert, tea, coffee etc. Place looks very basic and you will wonder if you are at three right place.

The place is very avg and staff is zero motivated to serve! Limited menu was availabe. Guests are not welcome after 10 pm as staffers want to wind up. Bad bad.

Overview: Based on past reviews and the fact that Makhan Fish was closed on the other day, I decided to give this place a try prior to catching a flight at the Amritsar airport. Intro : Considering the fact that it is an old eatery the rush was moderate, I was ushered to my table by a courteous waiter. The ambience was a bit old school, hygiene satisfacrory, I would recommend that one would carry their hand sanitiser along. Highlights: I decided to order a keema naan, to avoid having butter laced meals. It was okay, served with butter. Nothing extraordinary, though. My companion for the journey being a vegetarian had some kadhai paneer. I felt it was laced with oil and butter, which might be too heavy considering our routine. I tend to avoid greasy meals at restaurants. Recommendations: May consider for a one time visit, though. I am more keen to explore Makhan Fish, the next time, I return to the Holy City.

Taste wise it’s good. But the chicken is not cleaned properly. Visible blood strains in almost all the pieces.

This was the best chicken I've had in India. The roasted chicken was amazing, served with raw onions and lime. Also ordered the butter chicken, the balance of flavours was amazingly done and I couldn't have hoped for better tasting food. Ordered a variety of breads including the naan which was good as well. Service was quick and efficient, there isn't really any vibe or atmosphere in the restaurant, it's pretty stale but you're mostly there for the food anyways so it was fine.

Well we heard about the food and went there , first of all the server paid no heed to our words … we wanted spicy food he heardbut that made no impact on him … then we asked if chilly chicken was served in a authentic way or the usual chinese style he said the authentic one but served it like a manchurian based gravy with too much salt … when asked to replace … added water to the same and served us … the most hyped tandoori chicken doesn’t have spices in it … too bland for someone who loves tandoori chicken that too with some taste … so overall poor service … they didn’t charge as they had no time to talk and discuss the issue but what will happen to them in the long run if they continue to avoid customer’s review and requests

Update 20/8/25 I was in Amritsar and had to visit this place again for the delicious food. It's still good, but since I've tried so many other places, it's not as outstanding as I remember it being. Still, I love how unique and juicy the food remains. It's definitely still worth a visit if you're in Amritsar. It's a perfect family-friendly spot. Old review 2020: The best butter chicken I had in a while. I have read the reviews that the butter chicken is very sweet here but to my surprise, it was not sweet at all. I love the gravy, had all the masala and chicken was soo well cooked and so soft. Definitely the best cooked chicken I ever had in my life. Worth the hype and every penny. The green chutney they serve is made with hand (not in mixer) taste sooo delicious with your food. Can’t wait to visit again. 5/5 Highly Recommended
