"If you like Mediterranean food, you’re in luck. If you like food, you’re in luck. Skaf’s is just downright good food and good people. Family owned and operated, the whole staff is super friendly and can recommend their favorite dishes. This place may be close to being on a weekly rotation for us. Although each item has merit, there are a couple crowd favorites. Every meal should include an order of the Baba Ghannouj, as Skaf’s has the best around. The Soujouk is outstanding and can’t be matched. All the meat is incredibly tender, with the steak being especially good. Finally, the spicy potatoes and the falafel are not to be missed. If you are in town and it isn’t Sunday or Monday, this is where you’re eating." - Forth + Back
"The hospitality at family-owned Skaf’s Lebanese Cuisine makes it feel like the restaurant could be someone’s living room. One of the owners, Noura Skaf, is often found greeting guests at the front like they’re regulars, before showing them to a table. There’s no way to go wrong with the menu, but the best bet is to order a shawarma combo plate with salad, rice, and pita. Ordering hummus to start is never a bad idea, but make sure to save room for baklava for dessert. The tiny, order-at-the-counter Lebanese grill in North Hollywood has been operating for over two decades (they have locations in Glendale and Highland Park as well). Both the chicken and beef shawarma are equally good in our book, so just do what we do and get the mixed plate.
