Born as a tiny drive-thru and now a bigger West Central hangout, this spot keeps the focus on quality meats, all-day breakfast tacos, and thoughtful vegan options. Profiled by the Inlander after its 2023–24 move and expansion.

Since I've been here n Washington, the people have been amazing! This place is OUTSTANDING! The service is FANTASTIC. They were very friendly, kind, n genuine. The food is DELICIOUS, and the atmosphere is FUN and FUNKY! The music is great n hip, the inside is so authentic for their business! I love it! Yall check this spot out!!! I ordered Cadillac Margareta, Pearls Lavender Lemon Drop, n Loaded Queso w/Beef........... Delicious!🤗🤭.... This will be MY GO TO place for now, every week!!! The price is worth it. For what I paid for including a lil tip, not bad n my opinion!!! My rating is 100/10!!!! THANK YOU ALL FOR UR TERRIFIC HOSPITALITY!!!

Google
This. is. the. joint! Spokane's hidden taco gem! I finally made it in before closing and they didn't disappoint! The place is a vibe all its own. The food is fresh and flavorful! We split the Veg Vado plate. Hell YESSS, check 'em out!!!

Google
I really want to love this place. It's too expensive for what you get. I've gone twice and think that'll be it. The barbacoa burrito ($14.50) feels significantly smaller than Chipotle's ($10.90). I know comparing a small local joint to a multi-billion dollar company isn't fair, but money is tight these days. The barbacoa was well seasoned, but rice was plain and slightly mushy. Their queso ($12 for queso and chips) is too expensive ($8.20 at Chipotle) and orange which I was not expecting. Nothing particularly bad about that, just doesn't look appealing. Staff was very friendly, wait time was about 15-20 minutes. Atmosphere is okay, tight parking. I will always try supporting local, but with the ever climbing cost of food it just makes more sense to grab something at Chipotle. Sorry.

Google
Best Mexican food I've had in a long time. Their polano burrito is AMAZING! The bean dip was excellent, My husband raved about his burrito and taco. The portions are huge! This will definitely be our go to for Mexican food for now on! So happy we tried them!

Google
$40 for chicken nachos and 2 street tacos is a little crazy. The food was really good but the service could have been a little better, we weren’t greeted right away. Chips and salsa are on the house yet we weren’t offered any for our carry out order nor while we waited for it. Food was really good but can’t say we’d be back price wise!

Google
Taco Vado is one of our favorite food joints in Spokane! The tacos and bowls and plates NEVER disappoint. We always leave here satisfied and full!! The staff is always so nice and accommodating to any requests. I love that they have a variety of options for everyone, including vegan and gluten free! The vegan taco plate is incredible, as well as the Jules and the Cali taco! This is our go-to spot for tacos!

Hailee M.

Google
We had Taco Vado cater a lunch meeting at my work and everything was FANTASTIC! They delivered the food to us and even helped us lay all the food out. There were a ton of options to choose from and they included vegan/vegeterian/gluten free items as well! The cold brew bar was a huge hit. Definitely recommend for a catered event :) I am also a frequent flyer at the restaurant. Everyone is always extremely helpful and I have always had a great experience here. Allison also makes a mean drink!!

Erin

Google
Had a work catered lunch from them and just WOW. Everything was so good - fresh and flavorful. The salads - kale and quinoa were so good and unique. I’ll definitely be going there just for that! Even the cold brew with oat milk was insanely good!

Yelp
Love this place!!!! Great spot for vegetarians (my family is pescatarian and loves this place). Many great menu options. Staff is super kind and hard working. The restaurant is beautiful and cozy with mirrors, plants, bright colors, and beautiful art. The hazy mocha is the best iced mocha I've ever tried! So damn delicious I'm still thinking about it weeks later! The breakfast burrito I tried was The LuLu but I did no pico and extra salsa verde. The salsa here is delicious and the food is large portions and mouth watering. Sooo damn good that I can't wait to go back when I visit Spokane again. The food is delicious!!!!! Highly recommend Taco Vado :)

Yelp
An overdue meeting of the Eat Meet crew took place at Taco Vado this evening. Not even a broken knee could keep us apart for long. Taco Vado started as a drive thru stand and after a few years is now a full fledged restaurant. This was the perfect spot for our reunion. Casual and fun interior. Plenty of food and drink options and even something for the kiddos. What will keep us coming back are the flavors! Everything was seasoned and well balanced. The only criticism was how cold the dining area was, felt like a walk in fridge! Maybe the heat was on the fritz?! . -CHIPS & QUESO -CHILE VERE BEEF BOWL -CHILE VERDE BURRITO -MIGAS BOWL (breakfast menu)

Yelp
Amazing flavors, service and decor. Being a California transplant I was worried I wasn't going to find a delicious spot to eat like the Bay Area had so abundantly... this ended all worries. Not only to they bring their own spice combinations and sauces, they aren't afraid to use salt. I'm kind of a stickler for places that under salt because of sensitivities, it's a pet peeve, but Taco Vado is a cure for that cause every bite had salt. Every part of the burrito legit had care in it, if you about the perfect tortilla, this is the spot for you, the chef doesn't skip a single aspect and it shows. And as a vegan I haven't had a vegan burrito (without fake cheese or fake meat) that tasted this good. Like I'm shocked this places hides away in a lil parking lot mid spokane. This is a must try if you're in the area, and you can thank me later for your new favorite spot. Sorry to any of the locals that enjoyed their spot not getting busy, but the public needs to how awesome this place is :)

Yelp
Came here for lunch with my husband, who is from San Diego. Despite the menu items being named after San Diego locations like Ocean Beach, this does not taste like SoCal Mexican food. We ordered chips and salsa, $6. (Chips and guacamole is offered for $10). The salsa was pretty good with way too much raw red onion. Chips were corn and average. The menu is limited overall; no chicken or fish tacos offered, only beef or pork. The salads on the menu were kale and cashew or kale and quinoa, hard pass on those. I got one carnitas taco with a scoop of avocado for an extra $1. It was very watery and the meat was bland with no grease; the taco fell apart almost instantly with its one thin tortilla. I had to eat it with a fork, disappointed. My husband got a barbacoa burrito that had pico and black beans that seemed really small for $14. He said it was "just okay with a weird flavor". Neither of us got drinks and the total was $34.10- overpriced for what it was. If you like Chipotle and hipster vegan food then you might enjoy this place.

Ismael L.

Yelp
This is my favorite place to go to! The carnitas bowl is my favorite but I love the taste on all their food. It's not authentic Mexican food but they have a great twist on these plates and recommend it to everyone. Get the the pickled sweet jalapeños, they're delicious!

Yelp
OMG!! Order the vego vado vegan burrito and you will be so happy. Veggie burritos are my jam. I'm always searching for restaurants that have a veggie burrito, and I travel a lot. The vego vado vegan burrito is one of the top the best burritos I've ever had! So full of flavor, beans are delicious, pickled onions are amazing and cabbage gives a nice crunch. The outside is even grilled to a golden brown. Ask for their salsa, it's the perfect amount of spice and also delicious. Oh, and the vegan date cookies are SO GOOD! I'll definitely be back.

Yelp
Went in for the first time. Ordered the Vado breakfast. No description other then the ingredients. Was served on a small flour tortilla which was soaked from the sauce. The flavor profile was amazing. Had to ask for a fork because half the ingredients fell out. The rest of the menu looked great. The service sucked. I was one of three parties. At the 10 minute mark after nobody approached me, I got up to leave and the server came over. She took the order and the guy from the back pretty much just placed the order on the table and walked away. I tipped $2.00 on a $5.00 order but the service was not tip worthy. First impressions are everything. Jury is still out until I try more items so I will adjust my rating accordingly.

Yelp
Super disappointed in the food I received today. The food was hardly warm so I had to throw it in the oven to heat it up. I tried the Poblano Burrito and I was so excited to try it, I mean look at the pictures of it that they advertise! I was expecting an extra toasted, cheesy delight of a burrito only to receive something that was so bland, mainly rice and an empty poblano with some beans. There was no salsa roja in the burrito, a pinch of sour cream, no queso from what I could see or taste, and a small amount of cheese on one side of the burrito which was also not in every bite like I expected. With a picture like the one they use it should have way more cheese than what mine did! I will not be ordering this again. I know most food items don't look like the picture but my burrito didn't look anything like that. it was an overpriced, rice, bean, and plain poblano burrito. The salsa dippers were about 3oz's of salsa in a 4oz cup, the salsa is super tasty but that was about it for today. I finished half of the burrito and threw the rest out because of how bland it was. I hate being so negative about it but that was my experience. It definitely seems to be hit or miss here which is why I go so long with coming back but I am not sure if I will come back with how many ups and downs I've had here over the years especially since they are pricier (wouldn't mind if my orders were accurate more times than not).

Yelp
Definitely one of the best Chili Verde burritos I've had in a minute! The flour tortilla was hand made and it reminded me of my childhood. The flavor in the tortilla itself has generally gone absent in my opinion, but this one made me believe that with proper cooking and old school technique the vessel can be as strong the commodity. The pork was tender and seasoned very well as were the beans. So delicious! I had them skip the rice and in no way did I feel like I was missing something or that I cheated myself out of an amazing burrito! Do yourself a favor and try this place. Super great people. Super great food!
google avatar

Wendy W.

Yelp
Decided to stop here because of the reviews but I am now convinced they are fake Food portions are literally for a child lol Not authentic Food was bland Only good thing was the lemonade but be prepared to pay around $5 per cup cause they don't have free refills

Caleb G.

Yelp
They have the best breakfast burrito I've ever had, hands down. I've been a good handful of times now and my food has always been made to perfection and I'm met with friendly service when dining in or picking up. They also offer a variety of drinks that are always good. I recommend this place to everyone and will continue to do so. You guys rock!

Grant L.

Yelp
Best breakfast burrito! Worth a stop- try it when you in town. Simple decor - fun vibe in evenings

Yelp
Their food is outstanding and they are LOCAL!!! Please keep their delicious food around! So. Great.

Yelp
Yelp removed my original review for this place, that had been posted for almost a month. It wasn't as bad as they made it out to be, and it can be viewed on TripAdvisor should you be curious. So, let's try this again... I'm swimming against the current of others' opinions for this place. Total FSA/Sysco fare, that was certainly allowed to turn into a technicolor mush for two of our orders (breakfast tacos). Meats for all were braised, which is fine, but when you can't tell what your protein was, it is a disappointment. No salsas were offered (or even thrown in the bag as a courtesy), and everything dang well needed the flavor. Tapatio at home made it--at least--palatable. I never throw food away when I've had to pay for it. And....I let it indelibly make it's mark on my memory. We also did not care for the alpha-attitude of the dude that took our order...

Yelp
Delicious tacos and great kids menu (pancakes are always an option!). Good drink options for dining in, and they offer take out as well.

Yelp
i used to love this place when it was at the old location, the new location was very pricey and at first i was ok well maybe they moved and they have expenses but usually what you get quality and portion is worth it. but the portions were very small. we spent 55.00 for 1 burrito 1 bowl 2 kids rolled tacos and bean dip with chips. i was in absolute shock ! not worth it and we won't be back.
google avatar

Niki W.

Yelp
I ordered the migas breakfast bowl. It was the best breakfast bowl I have ever had in my life. No exaggeration. I highly recommend giving this place a try if you haven't yet. Or check out their expanded menu since moving to this new location. After I sent my husband the picture of my breakfast bowl, he went on his lunch break! He got the burrito and queso and said it was delicious! Taco Vado will definitely be a regular go-to place for us and thrilled about their convenient location!
google avatar

Joel O.

Yelp
Insanely good food! Excited to come back. Going to make this place a one of my top go-tos. Very friendly staff. Cool vibes, you know they are working on something great with the construction going on! Coming back for their breakfast food.
google avatar

Linda H.

Yelp
We love this place. Our whole family. Yes it's kid friendly! The food is so good, the people are so nice and the maple superior must have something illegal in it. They moved locations what seems like recently, but I bet it was a while ago. Now instead of drive thru only they are a full blown sit down place and they just opened up outdoor seating on the enclosed patio. The breakfast tacos are amazing, the lunch menu is great, and our whole family perks up when we come here.
google avatar

Jennifer A.

Yelp
The service here was amazing! Our waitress was super friendly and attentive! The food was top notch! The bean dip was so amazing!!! We had a vegan burrito and a breakfast burrito that were both incredible!! 10/10 would recommend!
google avatar

Jamie L.

Yelp
Yum!!!!! I kept passing this taco drive through on Ash after an appointment every two weeks. After fabulous reviews from friends, I stopped in one evening. I ordered the barbacoa tacos for me and my husband. So delicious! Shredded beef, slaw, onions, cilantro. I added a little guac. Heaven I tell you. My husband worked late and came home and ate his cold and couldn't stop raving. I can't wait to go back and try a breakfast burrito! Definitely check them out - corner of Ash & Spofford.

Anson L.

Yelp
Please do not try the loaded queso. It is crack cocaine and you may sell your liver for another dose. This place has been killing it for years and continues to deliver high quality ingredients, flavor and amazing variety for our vegetarian and vegan friends. I love the evolution of the new location and look forward to what they got next! To the haters- it ain't Taco Bell and I don't see any claims that it's "authentic Mexican" it's just damn good food. Out!

Steelshark S.

Yelp
I'm giving a 4 because my food was good(the barbacoa burrito) and the chips and salsa, were very good there is potential to this place and would go back to try the carnitas, but overall there are better options and better cheaper options also the service was good, and friendly
google avatar

Mikayla H.

Yelp
The only thing I care about anymore is coming to this Taco drive through. I mean, amazing service, delicious food with vegan or meaty tacos... From Cauliflower to Barbacoa, Cebollita slaw, Avocado, Queso.... If you aren't coming here weekly what are you even eating????!!
google avatar

Trail Maven S.

Yelp
Great vegan bowl! I don't eat beef or pork so this was perfect. My husband got the burrito with carnitas. He loved it, just wished it was bigger. We got a bowl, burrito and two drip coffees -$25 (before tip).
google avatar

Carlie L.

Yelp
So glad to finally make it here after they extended their hours! I got the Vego Vado with a side of queso and it was so good. Huge, fresh, and flavorful! Will definitely return for more burritos and queso.
google avatar

Deidra D.

Yelp
You know a burrito is amazing when it can stand on its own Taco Vado has my favorite burritos ever. So generous with the size, especially for a great price. Incredible customer service, seriously love everyone on their team! Bite after bite perfection, thanks Taco Vado!!
google avatar

Kayla D.

Yelp
The best breakfast burritos in town. If you haven't tried their adovado - you MUST!! They also have the friendliest staff in town. They have really expanded their menu since moving locations and I'm excited to try a lot of the other things they have now. However, the breakfast burritos will always be king!
google avatar

Jennifer F.

Yelp
Wow wow wow! Okay first of all, this place is a literal drive-thru, like no inside seating, and ITS AWESOME. It is freaking cute, painted yellow and gray and I was already excited to get up to the window. This was for a YELP event, so I told them my name and I ordered two breakfast burritos, one pork and one shredded beef. (One for my fiance of course) They are h-e-a-v-y and packed with so many ingredients. I also got a cold brew and my fiance got the drip coffee. I stole the drip coffee from him. You guys!!!! This place is underrated and I am determined for that to change. It's not even hard to find! The GPS takes you right to it. I will definitely be coming back soon for lunch
google avatar

Katie M.

Yelp
Perfect breakfast! We stopped by Taco Vado this morning for a late breakfast and we're immediately intrigued by the unsuspecting exterior of the building. We both ordered the lulu breakfast burrito with added cheese and small cold brews. They both slapped. The tortilla alone gets 5 stars. Service was wonderful, everyone was super happy and our food always prepared at record speed. Would return here any time!

Dylan H.

Yelp
WOW!!! This place is the bomb!!!!!!! Highly recommend My favorite place in Spokane. The service and food are the best! Great Job Loaded queso makes you wanna slap your mama
google avatar

Abbie F.

Yelp
Love love love this place and the new spot!! Had some delicious new items and some of my old time favorites when I was in town. Of course I had to go at least twice to get my fix! I always always always get the carnitas breakfast burrito with no cheese because the meat it so darn good! Love the pico too! Mmm! Tres leches is freaking incredible!! I could eat a whole plate full of that! Their new salads are top notch!! The veggies are so so fresh and the salads are huge! Super filling and I LOVED the dressing!! And, I don't even like dressing and this dressing I couldn't get enough of!! And the new avocado toast-so good and it packs a punch! If you don't like any spice then stay away. The little chili flakes will get you if you aren't careful. Bread they serve it on is to die for!! And of course the kids plate with that queso. I'm not supposed to eat dairy and for this queso I make an exception-as in it is so good I use my finger to get it all out of the bowl! Taco Vado is one of my favorites in Spokane! So many options!! And a stellar new spot!!
google avatar

Gregory G B.

Yelp
Returned to try the "breakfast tacos. Managed to sample all six over the period of a week. Everything lived up to the quality and flavor of my initial lunch visit. Lovely variety of flavors and seasoning. Both my wife and I are now dedicated fans of the perfection rolling out of the Taco Vado kitchen!! DIG IN!!!!

Yelp
For a location that has had quite an array of businesses in its past, it is good to see a solid one plant their seeds. I've been wanting to try this one for some time but wanted to let them get established prior to dropping in. It seems like they've done that now. My experience here was very good. A bit of a line of cars when I stopped by at lunchtime, but it moved quickly enough. One of the employees came out to take my order so they could get it started. She was super friendly and came prepared with a menu, just in case I hadn't been here before. I ordered up a lunch burrito with chili verde. The first thing I notice is the heft of the bag and once opened a very good looking wrapping of goodness. Indeed, the ingredients were fresh, the meat tasty and perfectly cooked. Much like a burrito from my days in San Diego, except higher quality. This was such a surprise given the location of this establishment. The burrito is filling but not massive like one you might get at Atilanos. For the price it would be nice if it was just a smidge larger. This is a double drive through only, so don't plan on going and having a seated meal. Very glad they are in the neighborhood and will definitely be stopping by again.
google avatar

Kym G.

Yelp
Best breakfast burrito in town. I'd post pictures, but we ate our burritos too quick. Had a Chile Verde breakfast burrito and an Adovada burrito with avocado.
google avatar

Robin R.

Yelp
The months between when Taco Vado's closed their drive-through on Ash and opened their sit-down restaurant on Northwest Boulevard were among the longest and saddest of my time in Spokane. This is my go-to spot for carnitas tacos, breakfast burritos... but also vegan bowls, a terrific kale salad and -- unexpectedly -- amazing French toast. It's as if I wrote a memo outlining all the food I missed from L.A., and someone built a menu just for me. I could eat every meal here. I tell everyone I meet to eat here. Can't wait for the patio seating to open.
google avatar

Anna S.

Yelp
Who doesn't love a coffee stand that also sells tacos?! best thing ever! So many options for everyone, from burritos to tacos to healthy bowls options plus all the fantastic yummy drinks on top of that!
google avatar

Hailey L.

Yelp
This is the first place in Spokane I've seen Migas on the menu! Super fresh ingredients with a good amount to eat; tortillas in the migas bowl could've been crispier, but who cares at this point!? Just excited to have a place to go for some awesoMe tacos, fresh salsa, and tasty Barbacoa - and migas! Can't wait to try the burritos :)
google avatar

Yelp
Man. Oh man. I am so sorry that I never went here before. It's not super convenient to where I live or work, but I've followed them since opening. The eggs always look so fluffy in the pictures and the queso seemed so dreamy. After my partner met the owner through his job, he came home telling me how nice the man was and how we had to go try his taco truck. I gushed about it, showed him some pictures, and explained I already knew what I wanted months ago. Today was the day. I got the breakfast burrito with with the Chile verde beef and added queso per recommendations. My first bite in was exactly what I wanted- a mouthful of impossibly fluffy eggs and gooey rich cheese. I just really hate scrambled eggs at a lot of places because they're usually dry and overcooked, not an issue here. The burrito was so packed full of meat, cheese and eggs. The beans were a lovely compliment and the pico tasted super fresh. My parter got the lunch burrito with carnitas and it was equally amazing. I can't say whether I liked the pork or beef better, they were both delicious. I'll be back. I've never loved a breakfast burrito more. Just give these guys a shot!! If there's a line, don't worry. They're pretty quick and 100% worth it. Keep in mind this is a food truck, not a sit down restaurant. My burrito stayed hot on the drive home!
google avatar

Tim D.

Yelp
Came here based in the yelp reviews and it did not disappoint! Great tacos and burritos. Queso and guac was great too. Owner was super nice. Would definitely come back if I'm in the area.
google avatar

Mark G.

Yelp
Picked up a lulu breakfast burrito and a breakfast pork burrito, both were very good , prices were around 10/11$ each , this is a good spot
google avatar

Myvegangirl T.

Yelp
The service was super fast. I called from 3 miles away and by the time I arrived my food was almost ready. Their vegan tacos are so delicious. I will definitely be buying here from now on. They are on my way home from work so it couldn't be more convenient. The Jules and Cali tacos are so good. If you are a vegan or vegetarian you will be delighted you came here.
google avatar

Tracy M.

Yelp
What an unexpected treat! I have driven by this Taco/coffee stand many times without stopping. I'm so glad that I finally did!! The flavor combination was so fresh and yummy!! The pork was tender and not too salty, the guacamole was super delicious! I would highly recommend!! I can't wait to try more on their menu. Staff was super friendly too!!

Greycion B.

Yelp
Not much flavor really just Americanized basic unseasoned food stolen from another's culture meat was good service but terrible execution. I really didn't enjoy the ambiance they mostly had all white people eating there as expected the rating is good for no reason need to get some real food AUTHENTIC food because this place is not authentic at all
google avatar

Elizabeth S.

Yelp
I stopped by and got the lunch burrito option. It was a very good size, I could only eat half of it. It was served warm and stuffed with beef, cheese, rice, beans, cabbage and pick. I got the beef chili verde that had hatch chili's. It was very tasty and super convenient at a drive through coffee stand.
google avatar

Terry K.

Yelp
Awesome burritos and fast and friendly service. Love this place. Definitely will stop the next time I go through Spokane. Highly recommend.
google avatar

Greg C.

Yelp
This place is outstanding. I haven't tried everything, but everything I have tried is delicious. This time I had breakfast tacos #2, #4, and a hazy mocha. So good!!

Susan P.

Yelp
Solid breakfast burritos, but not the best I have had. I tried the Lulu and my husband had the green chili breakfast burrito. He was disappointed that it was not at all spicy, but luckily the red salsa added some heat. Counter help was very friendly and service was quick on a Saturday morning. The seating area is small with a couple of picnic tables outdoor. Restroom was clean.
google avatar

Rachel B.

Yelp
VEGAN FRIENDLY! And friendly in general. Love this place. The staff are also super nice. SUPPORT LOCAL! This is an update to my original review because now I've tried their non-vegan options and when I say they pass the vibe- they do. Everything is just beyond delicious and fresh. Their coffee is super yummy too! Hazy mocha for the win. I would go here over Chipotle (I love chipotle) any day.
