Ghett Yo Taco’s + Wing’s

The carne asada tacos were my favorite and full of flavor. The pollo asada came in second. The chicken was juicy and the carnitas with pineapple were also solid. They have a sauce bar with a variety of options to go with your tacos, which is a great touch. We all ordered the lunch special and it was super filling. I only had a few chips left. I had the chocolate churros and they were amazing with a creamy inside. I didn’t try the wings because I was too full, but they looked and smelled incredible. The flavor options for the wings also sounded really good. I will definitely be back next time I’m in Phoenix.

My friends and I were starving and looking for a nearby place to eat, and we found this spot just a 2-minute drive away. The outdoor and indoor decor was amazing and full of cultural touches. I especially loved the stickers around the place and the drink options. I ordered a jackfruit taco because it sounded interesting, and I always like trying something new. My friends ordered different dishes, and we shared an appetizer of fries. Despite being super busy, the waiter and waitress were on top of things. Unfortunately, the food was overpriced for what we ordered. One taco was around $6, and our small appetizer of fries was about $14. And as someone who can't handle spice well, I became alarmed when the food turned out spicy. Despite the prices, I still recommend this place for anyone looking to try something new with a cool bar and awesome decor!

Got to say, the best tacos in Downtown Chandler, AZ 85225. Nice little spot, love the customer service. Looks like live music on the patio, Mark Angel, with Granddaughter Hope, come down for $5.00 prices. I believe that they are open till 2am

The tacos 🌮 were superb! We also ordered chips and Queso and wings. They are just amazing! We told the table behind us to order the chips and Queso. They said it was a good choice and thanked us. The place has ample parking. The gentleman who served us gets 5 ⭐️s. The location is also kept very clean with inside and outside seating. We felt the pricing was good as we were there for happy hour. All in all a 5+ ⭐️ place in every respect.

I would have given 5 stars, had I only eaten here once. However, I returned thinking I was going to get the same great food. I was sorely disappointed. I ordered the carnitas street tacos and drove all way back to San Tan Valley just to see the tacos were so greasy and meat was hard and greasy as well. I thought I had found a great lil taco spot, I was mistaken.

This place has so much potential, but the lack of prompt service is what mainly drags this place down. The flavors are different, but not enough to keep me craving for more. I like the outdoor atmosphere and the happy hour specials are probably what keeps locals returning. I was passing by this area and decided to give it a try because of the reviews, but I don't think it's for me.

I paid $13 for less than a cup of their baja shrimp cocktail. Watch my video to judge for yourself. Each specialty tacos are at least $6 and the quality is questionable. The elote was the king disappointment. It was just a cup of corn with barely any cheese and seasoning. I paid $13 for 3 pieces of fish and some fries. The fish was ok but the fries were soggy and limp so I had to air fry them back to normal.

I have driven by this place so many times when coming to other events in DTC, but this was my first time stopping in with friends at 1030pm on a Fri night. The music outside was awesome but the seating was empty because it was pretty hot out. The inside was pretty busy and there were only 2 staff working behind the bar and working the tables, but we were still able to get a table right away. My friends have been here before and said it was pretty busy, so with only the 2 workers the service was more on the slow side, but we were hanging out talking & not in a rush. Friends ordered margaritas and their usual taco orders, and I got the Californian. I was happy to see GF, Vegetarian, and Vegan (or can be made vegan) options! The taco actually was unlike anything I have had before. It was a small corn tortilla quesadilla with the fixins on top so when you bite into the taco you get a layer of cheese that's already melted! I got the taco pretty naked because I can't do Pico or jalapeño sauce, but I asked for cilantro to add, and it was delicious. I am becoming a huge fan of the deep fried avocados. That crisp outside with the soft center is everything! I definitely need to come back to try some of the drinks and some other menu items in the future!

Carne asada fries were pretty good the queso sauce was delicious but the meat in the quesa birria taco was lacking flavor. The consome it came with was also bland. The taco was pretty spicy though. But that's my opinion. My friend tried it and said it wasn't that spicy. She got the carne asada street tacos and she really liked those so I'd probably go and try those next time and the wings! This place is right behind the Perch which was perfect because I was starving and for some reason the food truck upstairs at the Perch wasn't serving food at the time which was Saturday night so we stumbled upon this taco place.

We have been to this place which is kind of divey with character. I like that this place is colorful and bright and I especially like the praying hands with a taco stained glass window. Interestingly enough, there is a stained glass window with Mary on it in one of the bathrooms just as if it were in a Church. There's a little bar and a salsa bar and a lot of outdoor seating. In fact, I think it wraps all the way around the building. There's an area up front with cornhole and a giant connect four. I imagine people come and hang out and drink and play games at night, but we were here for lunch on a weekday. They have a pretty good lunch special. You get three street tacos, rice and beans, chips to go with the salsa from the salsa bar, a soft drink, and two little churros, flavor of your choice. It's only $10.99. We chose the pescado tacos and a crispy shrimp taco. The piscado tacos have fried fish, which is never my favorite, but it was good. I can't say I cared too much for the shrimp taco. It wasn't at all crispy and there wasn't a lot of flavor, but it was fine. I do like the salsas they have on the salsa bar. The one that is labeled hot, the Diablo sauce, is very hot, but very good. In the passive or the carne asada tacos and they were really really good. I kind of wish I would have gotten those, but maybe next time.

We wanted to get some tacos and one of my friends suggested this place. Located in the inside streets of downtown chandler, this place is big. Also, they are open late night if you want to grab some food after partying. It was a Sunday night and the place was empty, may be coz it was a Sunday. We sat at the bar and I ordered a OG margarita along with shrimp and a fish taco. They have a fresh salsa bar too. The service was quick, the margarita was decent. The tacos were just alright and lacked the authentic flavors. Somehow it didn't meet the expectation. The place has a very hippy vibe. The prices are a little expensive, one taco was about $6-7 depending on the meat. Overall, it is an okay place.

I genuinely had to wait a few days after dining here to leave this review because I was truly bothered by a specific practice and a surcharge I received at this establishment and I needed a few days to decide what to say. Lets begin with the "elephant in the room". My experience that I had, I saw happen to other guests as well which was they don't print your check and drop it at your table. They show you their handheld pos system (not sure the exact name, but its what they use to enter your orders and process your payment) and you click if you plan to add a tip and give them your card and you can click if you want a printed receipt or not. I am glad that I elected to see the printed, itemized copy because it was at this point I discovered they charged an additional $2.54 for prop 206 (5.00%). I wasn't sure what this was so I asked the manager and he basically told me it was something some small businesses started charging and I should google it, which I did, and its a surcharge to offset the increase in minimum wage. I have heard of this and know that some restaurants add it, not just this restaurant. My issue with that I was not given a check showing this charge before I was asked to pay my bill. That is a shady/sneaky practice in my opinion. I should get an itemized check, so I can make sure I was charged properly and to also see any additional charges, like this one. Furthermore, the practice of not printing the check and just showing the customer their handheld pos device to pay, doesn't allow the customer to see that the suggested tip includes tax. I don't tip on tax, I tip on subtotal cost only, that is my right as a patron and I should be allowed to see a printed receipt, sit at my table and figure the tip myself. Now I can't prove that not printing and dropping a check is to avoid people knowing about this surcharge but it certainly looks that way. Based on the managers response when I asked about it also tells me this practice is to avoid being asked about the charge. Its uncomfortable for all involved. Now on to our dinner experience. We arrived around 5 on Saturday. The place was dead. We asked to sit outside and a server followed with menus. She took our drink order and went to get it as we reviewed the menu. I hadn't been here in such a long time so I didn't really remember what I did or didn't like about my previous visit. The menu item descriptions sound amazing and sound like they'd be very tasty. We started with the Mexican street corn. It came with chips and it was very good. We each ordered two tacos. In all we had 2 Birria tacos, Italian Stallion, Rasta Man, Californian and Baja shrimp taco. The birria was one of the better tasting tacos we ordered. The portion of consume was not enough to dip each bite. One of our Birria tacos had a lot of fat in it, the other did not. If you are not a fan of eating fat open the taco and do a quality check first. The Italian stallion is crispy chicken, garlic parm sauce, pico , sour cream and lettuce. Sounds amazing, right!? It was not. First, the chicken was not crispy at all, it was grilled or sauteed but not crispy chicken. I was expecting breaded fried chicken pieces. Second, there was no garlic parm sauce on this taco. Two of us tried this taco and neither of us tasted garlic parm sauce. This taco was 1/5 stars and disappointment. The rasta man was grilled chicken, jalapenos, mango habanero crema, cilantro and jerk sauce. My son asked the server if this taco was super spicy and she indicated she didn't think so, especially because he asked for no jalapenos. This was the tastiest taco of all that we ordered. I tried one bite and it was delicious! I didn't get too much spiciness but as my son continued eating it he said it was super spicy! The Californian, fried avocado, pico, lettuce, and jalapeno sauce. We all thought this taco was bland. The concept is amazing but it needs other flavor components like cheese and another sauce that has more flavor to it. And the last taco, which was the most expensive, was the Baja shrimp. Grilled shrimp, pico and mojo sauce. I shared this with my daughter and we both thought it was bland and boring. We get shrimp tacos at every taco place we go to and this was our least favorite we have ever had. As a matter of a fact, we didn't finish this taco and even left a shrimp and for us that is shocking. The consensus for us was the food was just okay. Nothing to rave about and not worth the $54 dollars it cost and $67 spent in total with tip and surcharge. The saving grace for our visit was the perch next door had a 90's rock cover band playing which we really enjoyed. We won't be back to this establishment for several reasons. I am selective these days where I choose to spend my money and nothing blew us away about our meal here. And to top it off the shady practice of not disclosing the surcharge by not dropping physical checks it all it took for me not to return.

It's National Wing Day, so I decided to embark on a noble quest for wings. I wanted to try a new place, and lo and behold, there was one just down the road from me in downtown Chandler. Why not? Well, I'm glad I did. I've found my new wing haven. Delicious! I ordered enough food to ensure I had wings for lunch tomorrow - a little foresight never hurt anyone. I went for the 20-piece wings, choosing Hot, Chipotle BBQ, and Mango Habanero sauces. All three were excellent! I'd rate them upper-mild to medium on the flavor/heat scale. I'm not one of those folks who needs to scorch their taste buds with molten lava to feel manly - been there, done that. I prefer a touch of heat and, more importantly, great flavor. These wings hit the mark perfectly. They were also generously sized, unlike the puny wings you sometimes get elsewhere. I also tried the Shrimp Basket. Thankfully, it came with fries that I consider to be pretty darn good. If you like Five Guys fries, you'll be happy with these - they're almost identical. The shrimp were medium-sized and lightly battered. They tasted fantastic, cooked to perfection, and the batter wasn't overwhelming. I usually like to squeeze lemon over my shrimp and then dip them in cocktail sauce. Unfortunately, they forgot to include the lemon and cocktail sauce, so I had to eat the shrimp plain. Not a tragedy, just not my usual shrimp-eating routine. I will definitely be getting wings here again! I also want to explore their tacos and other menu items.

They're closed, my wife and i went there, and it seems they haven't paid their lease or something but there was a lockout notice or something like that. Really sad to see a place i love and have been going to closed down after so many years

This gem in downtown Chandler is great! My girlfriend and I visited Ghett Yo Taco's & Wing's late at night, just looking for a quick bite to eat. I ordered the Cheeseburger, and for the price, it was good. The meat was well cooked, and the service was quick. I'll definitely be back to try other food options and drinks.

Mediocre at best. Had high hopes but everything was bland/cold. Boneless Wings had a nice spicy sauce but they resembled Chicken Tenders in size. The beans were tasteless. Chips and Queso were just okay. Won't get this place again.

Friday night means a DJ and VERY loud music on the patio (makes me wonder about the residents living nearby...) at this downtown Chandler location. The vibe is divey and the bar is full. The food & drinks were good although needed some extra time & instruction due to the new staff. The management was great and made up for any small inconveniences. Overall our group enjoyed our time.

Amazing food, best wings I've ever had! Awesome outdoor seating and a hot spot for night life. Everything on the menu is amazing! Everyone is so welcoming and so friendly too. Just love this place!

Good selection of specialty tacos. They were good sized tacos. Two was good but three would have been very filling. Wings were okay but nothing special. Should have only ordered tacos.

We love this easy & fun menu filled with favorites and unique items, too. The salsa bar is supreme (try the medium red and the pickled onions!) and the margaritas are frosty frozen goodness

The left is a Sonoran hot dog taco and a fish taco on the right This place used to be great. It's really gone downhill. The Sonoran hot dog taco was reminiscent of warm dog vomit and the fish taco made my stomach upset The waitress was great and the ambience is chill. They have an opportunity to improve and return to what they once were if they take the chance.

This place was magically delicious! Walle and his crew made it a night to remember. Came by after a graduation ceremony and they killed it! Service, food, atmosphere was everything we hoped for plus more. Best honey hot wings that will make you want another, elote full of flavor, cane asada fry's loaded with toppings, tacos were huge! We had mango and strawberry margs that were a perfect sweetness. My sisters had skinny margs that they loved. Ice cold beers that put the cherry on top. Presentation looks like a commercial and won't disappoint. It's a must try! Thank you Walle and crew for a night to remember!!!

Ghett Yo Taco just celebrated their five year anniversary on Saturday! We couldn't pass on the chance to celebrate with them. They had a dj that was blasting an excellent 2000s-2010s playlist. We sat outside since it was so nice out. We started out with chips and queso. The queso was honestly disappointing. It had the texture like it's been cooled and reheated multiple times and didn't have much flavor. The chips are delicious though! We asked for a refill but our server never brought them. I had the spicy mrs porky and carnitas tacos - both were delicious, as I love Ghett Yo's carnitas, but the spicy one was lacking spice!!! I was a little disappointed. My husband had two carne asada tacos, and he was honestly a little disappointed in them as well. The meat smelled and tasted funky, so he just finished one of my tacos. This visit missed the mark for both of us. We were really psyched to experience the same Ghett Yo we had been to before. I'm hoping this was a fluke since they were having the event. They've added a lot of interesting and eclectic-sounding tacos to their menu, so it may be worth returning to try those!

Started and ended my evening here, spent over $80 on food and drink and brought friends back with me for drinks after our bar crawl. After closing our tab discovered the tow company had towed our car. No help from the bar staff, $300 later and had our car back. You're company said the just come in and ask people if their cars are parked out front when we happened to be crawling. Won't be back.

The food is delicious!!!!! The salmon taco has quite a bit of heat to it. Ordered the wings extra crispy based on server suggestion and couldn't have been more right! Even the chicken in the kids quesadilla was juicy.

The Cuban crisis is now the only reason we will be back. But for 6 dollars a taco it's a bit much for just one whole taco. I understand that affordability is a thing of the past now but i am just completely mind boggled by their entire new menu. Everything went up the only deal they have is going in for lunch from 11-2 for just average tacos. Because like i said the only great tacos are the specialty ones and the Al pastor is decent as well. But during taco Tuesday it's still 3.95 for one! The type of prices for these tacos id rather go to el crujiente tacos in phx for duck and waygu etc. The side of fried for 6 dollars is insanely small as well. Def not worth it. But when your son only wants to munch on fries and run around at 3 years old no point getting him an entire meal he can't sit for. They used to have such great combo meals and different breakfast burritos available with French fries included and they completely changed the menu to where they aren't even available to purchase anymore. I was so beyond upset since I'm 9 months pregnant and used to LOVE coming here for their food and breakfast burritos when they were affordable. Now the selections are limited and prices inflated I won't be back anytime soon. Such a bummer.

Great tacos! The birria is where it's at! It is so juicy and well-seasoned, and is filled with toppings. The Cuban Crisis was also delicious. I had bites of my husband's Captain Jack, Middle East, and Rosta Man, and they were all so different from one another and so tasty. I really appreciate the unique, creative flavor profiles of each because so often, tacos can all blend into one and you can't tell them a part, but looking back, I can distinctly remember the taste of each. We also got the fajitas for our baby and those were great (we ended up eating them, of course), and the elote bites are a fun little snack. The place is pretty casual, colorful, and young. The dude running the place is awesome and was so welcoming. He kept making faces at my baby, which is always appreciated. Overall, it did not disappoint and it was well worth the long drive! Go with a big appetite and try all of the things!

We went to celebrate, not knowing Chandler area. Looked up Mexican restaurant and end up here! They need to improve on there food. Queso and chips was horrible!!! My daughter said carne asada fries were the worse she has ever had!! I wouldn't go back even though waiter was of good service, sadly!

Please don't support this dodgy and dishonest business. This restaurant had our car towed illegally. They have allocated spots for their customers, clearly marked. See photo. But there are 2 unmarked spots where they are towing many cars from - see photos too. There's more reviews from people they have done this to. Please mark all your allocated restaurant parking spots! What you are doing is illegal. And we will take further steps.

I ordered the carne asada nachos to go, very good but I don't know if it's worth the $16 price tag. I was impressed by the amount of guacamole they gave me, the pico was great and the carne asada was very flavorful.

The food is good, but it is not the best for its price. There are better options in this area. Store is decorated very nicely. It's a fun spot to hang out and eat at. The workers are really kind! Overall, a really nice place but too expensive for me.

This place is awesome. I had trouble deciding what tacos to get because they all looked so good! Our server was Jermey and he was really patient with us, and gave me some good suggestions. Also they are great for veterans on Veterans Day so definitely come in. I know we will be back even though we live far away. Worth the drive!

This was my late night stop for some great food! But things changed for the worse recently, the menu changed and not for the good. As the experience here has always been a 5 stars, a update is a must -Food quality dropped -prices jumped -a la carte changed and it in a good way As the staff has always been awesome, the change of the menu definitely changed my monthly visit and I highly doubt I'll be back!

Ordered lunch to go from here the other day. The carne asada taco was ok. The meat needed more flavor and was very fatty and dry at the same time which was weird. The Californian was probably my favorite. Spicy jalapeño salsa and nicely fried avocado. The Cheez Whiz Burger taco was just weird. It would probably be better if it was ground beef instead of a beef patty. The bartender who assisted was nice and friendly and made ordering simple. Not my favorite taco spot but not the worst either.

Found this place after a failed taco festival! And it was so good. Actually best taquitos that I have had! Meat was so moist and flavorful and we had a chicken taco that was great as well. Service was quick and very friendly! Definitely will be back when the weather is nicer because they have a great outdoor area!

I don't typically like buffalo wings because they're too vinegary and lack taste, but the owner recommended the mango habanero wings and they were delicious! I would get them when I go back.

Sad about this review because I've always had great experiences here but I see that things have been adjusted and not for the good. They used to have combo plates last night found out that they changed the menu so everything is a la carte which got pricey for what we ordered. Got two birria queso tacos and and this small container of birria dipping sauce, which was so small that there was no kind of dipping. Wasn't even enough sauce to make it to the second taco. Got a slider where the patty was 1/2 the size of the bun and poorly put together. Overall not happy with what we paid for versus what we got. Immediate buyer's regret unfortunately.

my boyfriend and i decided to try out this place without looking at the reviews (big mistake). we walked in to the building, and there seemed to be no host to greet us. it was a little unfortunate but we let it slide. we continued to wait for 5 minutes until a server acknowledged us and gave us menus - mind you, there were about 2 other people in this building, so seemingly not busy at all... the server gave us some menus, sat us down, and gave us some time to decide what to eat. i ordered 6 piece boneless wing, my boyfriend got 3 tacos, and 2 drinks. all was good until we received our food. for the price we paid (31 american dollars), it was not worth the quality of the food. my boneless wings came quite small, no bigger than the size of my pinkie. i basically got 4 mediocre wings for the price of $10.99. my boyfriend's tacos tasted like "the vending machine tacos at my old job". safe to say we were very disappointed with our food, especially for the price. considering this is a bar, i assume the restaurant is better with drinks; i would not recommend as a dinner spot at all. afterwards, we went and got wingstop to uplift our spirits

Amazing food and margaritas! I always get the spicy ms porky taco and frozen mango margarita. The workers are very attentive and friendly. It is a great place to grab a casual bite to eat!

this is a perfect late night spot located in downtown chandler with a delicious variety of appetizers to choose from along with nice sized portions for your entree. they wont let you down with their fast service & a short wait for your food. I would definitely recommend their seating outside, it is perfect for guests and parties with its impressive ambiance,

My experience here was a bit of an odd one. I went on a Wed evening and this past weekend was the taco festival. They had a lot of people come so obviously, they had low stock stuff. The food I wanted to order was good, but it's not what I wanted. I wanted sliders but they didn't have buns. I got the Spicy Af chicken taco and it was okay. My spouse got the Walking Taco and that was better. The best tasting thing was the dessert, the churro was really good. Also, the server was polite, but didn't seem to know a lot of things.

This place has the most unique tacos I have ever had. It's not at the delicious meats that make it unique it's the combinations they put together. Some taco have a pretty good tang, some have lots of heat. It all depends on what you like. The shrimp fajita taco is one of my favorites. By the way, you only need two tacos to make me off. They are good size! Best treat on the menu is their flavored margaritas. They will even combine flavors like pomegranate, prickly, pear, margarita!!! The service is great. We've met the owner and we've had the same waitress all three times we have ate here. We will be back!

Not much to look at from the outside but the food is amazing and the staff are the friendliest people. It's a little on the pricier side but we'll worth it.

great place and good food!! the staff was so good for a long time now turn over like crazy!! But, when they tell you on a Saturday night we do not have flower!! from the GM!! he is really a nice guy don't get it!! makes you think twice!! yes, for my wings!! then go in Sunday night and told by the cook we have no wings!! I asked back you have no wings? no wings!! maybe the owner needs to look into this!!

I met up with a friend to have dinner before we went out, and I thought it was very good. They were very friendly and welcoming when I came in. The menu is diverse there was wings, all kinds of tacos and burgers, a plethora of margaritas. And yeah, I could definitely see myself going back to have a jackfruit taco as it was amazing they were very attentive. It was a very chill environment with decent music playing. Their music was sort of being drowned out by the band next-door but nonetheless, it was a great experience, and I will return.

Good service and easy parking The food is simple and very flavorful. They have outside sitting and the inside is small but very chill. Deft a great Mexican Food Joint! Try their elote for appetizer.

The best thing about this place is the short waitress with curly hair. She is very nice and made my situation better. The food was cold and the environment is very weird bc the tall waitress moves like tweaker and is very aggressive with her questions. lol. She opened my food container and look in it multiple times for about 7-10 minutes and then decided to give it to me. I just simply reordered my food and asked to get it when it was fresh out.

Burrito was nothing special. Pretty much a basic taco place. Nothing craving you to go back

Came here for a late night snack with the hubby, the location was so secluded, the parking situation could be better. It was so cute outside great vibes, the taco were a little pricey but it was good :)
