Nothing fancy but good banchan and reasonable prices. Ordered the spicy pork bulgogi lunch box, comes with white rice and banchan. Also ordered a full size japchae. They have refrigerators, grab your own drinks, beer and socks. They top off banchans at your request, the bran sprouts were amazing! Not sure if this is the place to go for Korean BBQ but decent korean standards.

Food is really good for the price, I came from Houston Texas with my wife we’re looking for a quick place to eat, glad we stopped by, el young Latino gentleman gave professional service.

2 Beef Bulgogi, and 2 Squid Stir Frys were ordered. Both entrées were very tender and full of flavor. I've visited quite a few of the local Korean establishments and at the first bite, it took me back to my time in S.Korea. The Banchan was incredible. They also have Korean Bbq which will be next time. Yes, this place is a must try. Service was very friendly and attentive. I highly recommend both dishes.

This is one of San Antonio’s best local eateries! I have been coming to Chas Market for many years and have tried pretty much everything. The all you can eat bbq is fun and delicious but there are so many things to eat! From Korean to Mexican to American there is something for everyone! We had the spicy beef soup, cheese burger, cheesesteak, and even a couple of tacos and everything was amazing! If you’ve never been to Chas you are missing out!

My director and I are in San Antonio for #ANC25, and when it comes to food, we have very particular palates. Spice levels, in particular, can make or break a meal for us! Our original plan was to dive into some traditional Southern barbecue, but we ended up with a different, equally delicious kind: Korean barbecue at Chas Market. Chas Market isn't just a restaurant; it's a piece of San Antonio history, a true testament to how diverse cultures coexist and share their culinary traditions. As we ventured from our hotel, we drove through the stunning neighborhood of Olmos Park. Seriously, the tree-lined streets were incredible, and the houses were those "mega-mansion" sized homes everyone talks about when they visit Texas. It was quite a sight! Upon arriving at Chas Market, we followed the "seat yourself" sign. There was a minor hiccup with our grill at the first table, but the staff quickly helped us move to another table with higher benches. The picnic-style seating, complete with a built-in grill, was perfect. (They also have tables without grills for those ordering soups and other kitchen-prepared items.) The process is simple: you pick three meats at a time, with some even prepared in the kitchen for enhanced flavor. We kicked things off with an array of complimentary side condiments, including various pickles, kimchi, marinated sprouts, and yellow radish. Then came our chosen meats: Bulgogi, Shrimp, and Short Ribs. Each meal comes with rice, and you can order lettuce wraps on the side. We enjoyed grilling some of our selections right at the table and received others perfectly prepared from the kitchen. By the end, both my director and I were incredibly pleased and completely full! Beyond the fantastic food, the atmosphere was great, and the staff was super attentive and supportive, making our first Korean BBQ experience a memorable one. I'm so grateful for the company and the time spent discovering this unique San Antonio gem.

It was really nice. I like the ambience and it was very welcoming. The food was good, and well priced. The portions was also really good

Google
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Chas Market & Kitchen is easily one of the best Korean BBQ spots in San Antonio. Their all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ is incredibly authentic — I honestly felt like I was back in Korea. The quality of the meat, the flavor, and the freshness of all the side dishes were top-notch. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the staff was fast and attentive. If you’re looking for real, authentic Korean BBQ in SA, this is the place. Highly recommend!

Google
The food was so good. As you can see we devoured it and found our new goto place. We got the spicy pork bulgogi and the stone bowl bibimbap and would recommend both. And they have the viral mango and peach ice cream that is shaped like the fruits.

Kyle S.

Yelp
I always have a great experience here, good service and yummy food at a decent price. Ambience is unique but very cozy. Definitely recommend for anyone looking for authentic Korean BBQ in San Antonio.

Yelp
Highly recommend the clay pot bimbombop. The rice on the bottom gets crispy like pegao. You can sit down and order and they have a server waiting on you before it used to be order at the counter. You can also shop around and add it to your bill. I like to get some ice cream for the afterburn. The Tteokbokki sauce wasn't as thick as other places plus they don't put cheese on it. It's original classic Tteokbokki.

Yelp
Pleasantly surprised - loved it! 1 star: Low key mom&pop shop - not your typical looking Korean bbq joint restaurant (loved it) - 2 star: Food tasty and filling (partying 4, we did AYCE & ordered other dishes) 3rd star: Service - staff nice but kinda slow 4th star for a Definitely bookmarked return!

Yelp
Authentic Korean FoodThat Never Disappoints! It's been a while since our last visit to Chas Market & Kitchen, and we were pleasantly surprised by how much better the place looks now l! The updated printed menu and improved dining area, complete with new dividers, give this humble bodega a cleaner and more inviting feel. We didn't see the friendly young Korean guy who usually provides such warm service, but the food was still as amazing as ever--flavorful, authentic, and perfectly cooked (the Korean auntie is there by the way and she's awesome!) Thisntime we skipped the AYCE option and went for the bento boxes, as alway, they nailed it. Every bite reminded us why we keep coming back. When we crave authentic Korean food that's consistently delicious and high-quality, this is our go-to spot in San Antonio. Chas Market & Kitchen isn't just a bodega--it's a hidden gem serving incredible Korean comfort food without the fancy setting and high prices. Highly recommended...always!

Yelp
When you're craving Korean food this is it. When you walk in you are welcomed with busy bustling staff, self seating. I've only gone for lunch but you're not limited to the lunch box. The food is really good and very good serving sizes. You get to select your own drink from the wall of refrigerators. It's like a small cafeteria open concept, it's nothing fancy but you're not there for a fancy atmosphere.

Yelp
Tried the all you can eat lunch special. Pork belly was underwhelming due to lack of seasoning, but everything else was amazing! Tried the octopus, prawns, pork belly, Bulgogi, and short ribs. The short ribs were my favorite, but they will only give one round of short ribs With this particular special. Our waitress replenished our sides and regularly checked in on us to ensure our cooking temperatures were spot on. Highly recommended if you go with a hefty appetite.
google avatar

Feliciana D.

Yelp
My first time was with my sister and I loved it, I brought my son recently and love it even better. Love the seating in the middle of the place although not the norm but the AYCE is definitely worth it.

Yelp
More like a 3.75 Had a craving for sundubu Jjigae and found Chas Market & Kitchen. This is our first time visiting and didn't know what to expect. Location is right off the highway, decent sized parking lot, and definitely reminds me of hole-in-the-wall spots in South Korea minus the coolers lining some of the walls. They have a mix of regular tables and KBBQ grill tables, which was perfect for our visit. Our server was nice and very attentive. Now on to the food...we ordered a japchae plate, kimchi stew, and soft tofu stew. The japchae was ok, it was warm-almost cold and the noodles were chopped up. The kimchi stew was a little different from what we're used to, a little runny and with a firmer tofu, but it was good and massive! We probably could've shared one stew. The soft tofu stew was good, again a little runny and a little too spicy for me. The banchan was good too, it had a great mix and all the flavors were perfect.

Yelp
Pleasantly surprised that I stumbled across this place in the downtown area. Cleanliness is a little lacking (it was a previous market repurposed into a restaurant) but service has always been fast and attentive. It's probably the best spot for Korean food in SA. Reasonable prices, dishes weren't overly sweet, and they had a good selection of banchan. Deep and rich flavors but still missing out on some authenticity. Favorite dishes: galbi, yukgaejang, galbitang, dolsotbibimbap

Ruthie W.

Yelp
We haven't had Korean food in a while and decided to visit @chaskoreanbbq. We had a good first visit and went back for more. Dad and I shared the Coco Milk with mango, and Hubby had Arizona Green Tea. We started with the Pan-Fried Dumplings. We then shared the Galbi, Japchae, and Beef Bulgogi. The photo for the bulgogi seemed unclear but it was steaming hot when it got to our table. Everything was delicious and the ban chan (sides) were fantastic too. If you're in the downtown area looking for a legit Korean restaurant, look no further!

Yelp
Chas Market & Kitchen is a true hole-in-the-wall experience for the unassuming. We were staying downtown but wanted KBBQ. We were pleasantly surprised to find Chas located so close to us. Pulling up, it looked like an old retail plaza just off the interstate. Walking in, we thought we were in a convenience store until one of the workers told us to sit down anywhere. Turns out, they have a dining area in the middle of the store, complete with table stoves and vent hoods. We were happy to learn that they offer an AYCE for $30 + tax. It comes with a bottle of water that you can grab from one of the wall coolers. They also have soju and Japanese beer available, as well as sodas and other drinks for purchase. We ordered the brisket, spicy pork bulgogi, and galbi. Side dishes and a bowl of rice were served to us and the brisket was brought out soon after. The waitress turned on the stove for us and gave us a tong and a pair of scissors to work with. To our surprise, the galbi and spicy pork bulgogi came out fully cooked, and they were full-size portions! The brisket we were cooking ourselves also had a ribeye steak hiding underneath on the same plate! Needless to say, we were completely stuffed full from this meal. They do charge $15 extra per person if the food isn't finished so that motivated us to push forward. I believe AYCE has a two-hour limit, so there's plenty of time to pace yourself. We ended the night on a $72 + tip, which we thought was well worth it and an instant family favorite.

Yelp
This a quaint and unexpected Korean BBQ spot in San Antonio recommended by a local who frequents this place. The AYCE option is affordable with plenty of authentic side dishes.

Yelp
I have been to this restaurant little market several times. The first few times it was beyond amazing then I forgot about it until my niece reminded me of it wanting to go. Now with all the all you can eat options in San Antonio Chas market is kind of falling behind. The guy who served us I believe is the nephew was really sweet and helpful. He wanted us to have the full experience with whatever they offer. Don't get me wrong we were completely stuffed! But the options of meat is way less from where they started
google avatar

Paul J.

Yelp
Quick, and tasty; they got me out with my to-go bulgogi to get back in time for my meeting. It could be spicier but that's what sriracha is for. The place is cleaner than it looks. They didn't spend a lot on decor. It tastes like they spend their money on the food.
google avatar

Kerrisa L.

Yelp
Service was great, prices were more than reasonable especially for Korean BBQ, and the food was fantastic! The restaurant is located inside of a small market. I will say this isn't the fanciest or cleanest place, however in my opinion this is what makes it most authentic! I will 100% be back in the future and highly recommend this for your next meal!

Yelp
I didn't expect this place to be this good! From the outside, Chas Market and Kitchen looks super unassuming--it's a bit random and doesn't really scream "restaurant," but once you step inside and taste the food, you'll be blown away. We ordered the Korean BBQ Short Ribs, Bulgogi, and Galbitang. Korean BBQ Short Ribs - an absolute standout--so juicy and tender with a marinade that was perfectly balanced between sweet, savory, and smoky. This was my favorite dish of the day. Bulgogi - thinly sliced, perfectly cooked, and just the right level of sweetness. The meat was tender and flavorful, practically melting in your mouth. It had that addictive, comforting flavor you can't stop eating. Galbitang - The broth was rich and full of depth, clearly made with high-quality ingredients. You could tell it had been simmered for hours to bring out all that flavor. The soup was hearty, warming, and filled with tender beef and soft, delicious vegetables. Honestly, this place is a hidden gem. If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and stop by! Don't let the exterior fool you. The food is top-notch, and the service was friendly and welcoming. I'll definitely be back!

Yelp
I love Korean BBQ, I consider myself to be a conseuer. I've eaten my share of Korean BBQ here in San Antonio and around the world. I was looking for a quick lunch spot and saw this Chas offered $9.99 bento plates. I found the market which is more of a cafeteria style dining than a market. I was hoping to find some Asian snacks that I've been craving but there wasnt much to shop around and look for. I was seated quickly as it was pretty empty for a lunch spot. I ordered quickly as I already went there with what I wanted in mind. I ordered a water with lemon and was informed they only carry bottled water, which was fine. I received my food, spicy chicken bulgogi in 15 min. The chicken was more spice than flavor. I rate the food a 3 out of 5. It took 25 minutes for my bottle of water to arrive which by then I had already finished most of meal--luckily I wasn't choking. Service was the reason for the 1 star but even with great service, the food "quality" wouldn't put my rating over 3 stars.

Yelp
This market was my go-to pre-COVID! Cheap delicious eats. While things have changed a bit here at this market...people, menu and layout. The food is still very delicious. Just a lot more pricey. This delicious Spicy Chicken plate w/rice and banchan runs about $17+ (includes taxes). Food is still very delicious and service is always kind here.

Yelp
This place is a cool hole in the wall family establishment! I liked their mandu/dumplings ($9.99) and the galbi/short ribs ($24.99). The mandu dumplings are slightly sweet and they have the clear noodles in the filling. The galbi was pretty pricey because you get about 9 pieces. The tteokboki was on the sweeter side. They also give you lots of different side dishes, which are delicious! They also sell lots of different drink options that you just pick from the fridges. Also there are asian snacks by the cash register. The service was very friendly. It took around 20 minutes to get our food on a Friday evening. Side note, they don't allow backpacks inside! It was cool to hear about the history of the place. It first started off as a meat market, but then a Korean couple bought it. They then kept it as a meat market, but changed it to a Korean restaurant a few decades ago.
google avatar

Kimmy S.

Yelp
This is the BEST hole in the wall Korean restaurant I have ever been to! My sister frequents here often and she recommend it, and now I'm recommending it to everyone that reads this review! Don't let the outside of the restaurant scare you away because I sure as heck thought it was a little sketchy. Even more sketchy inside! The food here is truly authentic! It's delicious! They make everything fresh. They are not open all day so you have to get there before dinner. I also noticed that they have Mexican food too that was not on their menu. The service here is just ok, there are various of people that will come ask to take your order and bring out your food. There's a younger guy that is very nice, the older women were not as pleasant, but it could be a generation thing ‍ I really can't wait to come back and try something new!

Yelp

Yelp
First time coming to this little spot after doctor appointment. We ordered dolsot bimbimbap and galbitang soup. First time trying galbitang soup. It was very delicious!! We'll be back. Update: second visit. The best bulgogi in town! Will be back for the Galbi next time.
google avatar

Yelp
Extremely attentive staff, food was amazing and full of flavor, fair prices, tons of Asian drinks to choose from. The ambiance is very homey and there is also a private area for bigger parties.
google avatar

Sidney A.

Yelp
Nice hole in wall Korean restaurant. Order the dolsot bibibap and the regular. Was freaking amazing food and wish there was more meat. The place is inside a little market so it wasn't too fancy. The service was nice and quick with the food. Only con was you had to buy the drinks and get it yourself from the refrigerator but we only needed water so didn't hurt us at all.
google avatar

Celico C.

Yelp
In a city where sadly Korean food isn't all to abundant. Let alone Korean BBQ. This place gets it right. All you can eat. And not in a gimmicky way where you can only order a specific number of meats at a time. Located in a lil bodega pretty much this place whips up Korean Eatz. Super dope vibe you can walk up to the store side of the location and grab a beer, soju, or just a soda. Sit down order your meat and dig in. They give you a tub of rice and sure sometimes they get busy but they do there best to get to you in a timely manner. I love this spot it is super dope and has a soul to it if that makes sense. When I kept ordering the ribeye the owner came up to me personally and cut it fresh for me. Little things like that go a long way. Great spot! Best Korean BBQ in San Antonio, TX.
google avatar

Andrew L.

Yelp
I wish I could review the food but I waited for over 10 minutes for anyone to come to my table. I can't imagine how long it would take to get the actual food. I won't be back.
google avatar

Susan M.

Yelp
We dropped in to pick up some homemade kimchi and banchan to go. Super nice employees. Ambiance is a giving daytime dive bar along with great food smells--apparently the fun times are during all you can eat at dinner for $30. Will visit again, either for the Korean food or the giant hamburger.

Yelp
Oh my gosh! It has been a few hours and I am still riding a Korean BBQ high! My son and I went to Chas Market and Kitchen today. It had been on my radar for awhile. I mentioned in another review how I watch Korean Dramas on Netflix (I'm on #131). They are always eating the most delicious looking food. I have been looking for some of those dishes in San Antonio, but had not hit on a place that curled my toes up. This place did that! We opted for the $29.99 all you can eat. It was only 10-12 dollars more than a regular dinner. It gave us the opportunity to try more things. Even with a large tip, it was cheaper than eating burgers with beer at my favorite local brewpub. We had pork ribs, spicy pork bulgogi, beef bulgogi, pork belly, and baby octopus. We had to grill the pork belly and octopus ourselves, but the others were brought to the table already cooked to perfection and heaped on platters. The menu said that we would only get one rib piece each, but we had at least 10 pieces on our platter. That's good, because that was our favorite. We were also served 9 different side dishes and several special sauces for dipping. We did not get any lettuce leaves, but I wouldn't have used them anyway. Everything was absolutely delicious. Both of us were able to pick our favorites for the future, although we will probably try something like bibimbap out of curiosity at least on one of our visits. I am pretty sure our server's name was Andrew. He was obviously very proud of the place. My son said he had the attitude of someone who was just there for the fun of it- not because it was a job. He was super nice and helpful. I felt like he had invited me to his home and wanted to make sure I had the best experience. His explanations of the dining procedures were thorough and polite. He would earn the place 5 stars even if the food had been horrible. We will be back often. Even though it is all the way across town, the drive is fairly short. I would recommend planning your visit for "non-rush hour" times.

Yelp
If folks are looking for a delicious Korean meal near central San Antone, this is it! I love how the restaurant is in a gas station-style convenience store. It really adds to the vibe, and the food is excellent. I enjoy bringing folks here to eat. They also have AYCE Korean barbecue, which I haven't tried, but the quality looks to be what you'd expect for the price. They're a la carte meals are excellent, and I've never been disappointed. Affordable, tasty, and relaxed. What's not to like? Plenty of parking out front. Make sure you check their hours before visiting!
google avatar

John H.

Yelp
Their food is always top notch - the quality, taste and freshness are amazing. I used to have to drive to Houston to get my Korean food fix but thankfully I found this spot. Try it out. You'll be happy that you did! Tell - JT (owner) ,Andrew, Mrs.Chong, Jessica or Margarita that John sent you!

Yelp
It is not much to look at from the outside but it was yummy food. They have booths and tables for those not doing the full bbq experience. Have a seat and order from the menu. Grab a drink from the coolers. I had the man doo as an appetizer. Good size for the cost. Then, I moved on to beef bulgogi. I ordered the bowl, which is just rice, meat, and sauces. The plate adds kimchi and veggies. The meat was sliced thin and was crazy tender. The marinade was strong and added so much flavor. We went for lunch. Service was fast and friendly.
google avatar

Lydia N.

Yelp
We've driven by and run by this place so many times but didn't really know what to expect. I finally stopped in to see what the guys was about and was pleasantly surprised. The interior is really basic/no frills and 100% practical. It really feels like a repurposed has station. Little snacks and convenience store style goods line the walls and low shelves. Another wall is for refrigerated drinks. After getting seated we picked bulgogi and tofu jigae. Service was friendly and helpful. We loved all the banchan. I can't believe e got so many little dishes! Both bulgogi and jigae were tasty, but honestly my favorite was having all the banchan. So I'd definitely go again for that and try the BBQ next time for the full experience.

Yelp
I'm Korean. I like Chas because it's authentic Korean food. The marinades, sides, it's all good. I especially like our Korean server. He's a good dude, polite, friendly but I'm not a fan of the ladies who move at a snail's pace. The electric grills and paper plates are no good but it is what it is. I like supporting Korean businesses so I'll visit Chas for their bibimpap and bulgogi.

Yelp
Wanted to try some authentic Korean food in San Antonio, so I gave this spot a try. The owner is Korean and so sweet. She immediately greeted my family, noticing that we were Korean. The food was very authentic and yummy. I tried the Bibimbap and Beef Bulgogi. I'd recommend both. They come with a bowl of rice and lots of traditional Korean sides to try. Portions are also really large, and you can grab your own drinks from the coolers they have. They have a large selection of Asian and American drinks. Prices are fair for the portions and how many sides you get. The service was okay. There were multiple waiters serving us, but they forgot to bring out some of our items like the rice, so we had to remind them. However, everyone was nice overall. There is free parking. The location is in an old building though, so it does smell a little weird when you initially walk inside the restaurant, but your nose gets used to it quickly. Could have just been me though because the rest of my family did not notice it. Overall, I'd recommend it. 8.5/10

Yelp
Family was craving Korean BBQ so we stopped by here. It was inside a gas station type of store. The place was a hole in the wall spot. Lots of drink selections. When you walk in there's a shelf of items you can browse and buy. The menu for AYCE was limited. You can only order galbi one strip per person. I believe outta all the AYCE in San Antonio this one had a more budget friendly option. Half of my family did the AYCE and the other half did simple dishes. Overall solid choice if you want a good price and amount. Korean BBQ in San Antonio do need to step up in comparison to other cities. The price ranges the same but less meats and side dishes are available. No soups included in the AYCE. I noticed most places charge extra for lots of things in SA. If you just want a bit order the plates as they are a lot but if you can eat eat, get the AYCE. Side dishes 5/5 Had all the typical dishes. Kimchi was good. Beef bulgogi 4/5 They were piping hot. A bit on the dry side but could be cause they were on the hot plate. Flavor was great. Pork belly 4/5 Pork belly slices. Thick and full of meat and fat. Galbi 5/5 Thick and lots of them. Good value. Flavorful and sweet. Tofu soup 5/5 Lots of soft tofu. Very flavorful, tad spicy. Beef short ribs 5/5 Light soup, hint of bone sweetness. Mom really liked it.

Yelp
This is truly a market. You can tell just by entering by the smell that it's an Asian market. The pork belly was thick and the correct ratio of fattiness, but the brisket was two thick for us. We also ordered the pork short ribs which was the same as galbi. Sides were good and staff was attentive and friendly. Just wish the cuts we received were better like the table next to us got for their Korean BBQ.

Yelp
It's not fancy but it's good Korean food. Plenty of Koreans here. Banchan is plentiful. Service is good.

Yelp
This is a dive but the food was fabulous. Place appears to be a former convenience store. Lunch special for $12. A wide variety of soda, juice, and foreign drinks in the cooler. You grab your own drink and they add to the tab. By the cashier there is a small selection of instant noodles, candy, and ice cream. Highly recommend if you want Korean food.

Yelp
They charged us for a wrong order that they brought out. We ordered 3 bento boxes (1 chicken 1 pork 1 beef) and 1 bibimpap. 2 beefs were brought to the table: I was thinking "huh? They must have messed up the chicken or pork with the beef", but "it's fine, I don't have to make a big deal out of it." Then they brought out 2 more bento (chicken and pork). Then we started eating. A guy walked out and said they needed to take 1 box back because it's wrong. We were like:sure, of course. I pointed at the wrong box and told him. Then he said "nah it's ok you guys can keep it". Oh great. Great service. Then they charged us for 4 bento boxes and 1 bibimpap. The server told us we ate it anyway. It was our fault because we knew what we ordered, it came out wrong, but we ate it????? We only ate because the other server told us we could keep it, we didn't need 5 dishes. Then we waited for a long time at the register with the check until someone came and checked us out. It's all about communication. Overall I'm pretty easygoing with small businesses. If they had told us to keep the 4 bento boxes and skip the bibimpap, it would have been fine as well. Or take back the bento. Also fine.

I stopped in for a quick lunch by myself and decided to sit in instead of takeout. Simple Korean lunch of Kalbi ribs and banchan for 20 bucks?! You just simply can't go wrong with this place. All of the banchan side dishes were phenomenal and the beef was tender and tasty. Definitely coming back.

Yelp
MUST GO!!!!! I think this just might be tied the best Korean food in San Antonio. I love this place. Now after living in Korea for 4 years and 3 1/2 of them eating only (well 90%) Korean food. I mean deep i Korea. Ok ok. I love the food and know it pretty well. I ordered the spicy pork bulgogi, tofu stew and some lettuce for the bulgogi. It came with all the traditional Korean sides but I ate most of them before I took the picture, sorry. The kimchi and fish cakes mmmmm love them. Tonight it was packed, no seats where left and I think the staff got a little overwhelmed. Ordered man du but it never came out. But they did try to make it up and give it to me for free when I left to make up for it. I said not thank you but really appreciate them trying to make it right. Ok the tofu stew came out first and it was piping hot. At first I was bothered that it didn't come out with the rest of the food but glad it didn't. It gave it time to cool a bit, so it could be edible. Great flavor and spicy just like Korea. I really loved it. The pork bulgogi was smoking when it came out as well. And with the fresh steamed rice. Mmmmm you could smell the spicy and dang near taste the flavor with out eating it yet. Spiced to perfection. I liked how the onions and peppers were able to cook at the table on the hot plate. It gave and extra flavor to the meat. I will be back again and again and again and again. If you haven't been this is a MUST GO!!!!

Yelp
I love the food and service here. I have gone to bigger places that just doesn't measure up to this place. They already know who we are for how often we go there. You can ask for additional portions on everything and since they know I'm in love with some of the dishes they just double stack for me already knowing I'll ask for refills. Will post pictures soon.

Yelp
The food is amazing and service is good. Family run business. Very welcoming. My son brought us here first. Now this is our place when we want Korean BBQ. If you are in the area this is the place to try. Limited hours. It's not fancy as a little market too but can't beat the taste. It is great.

Yelp
I absolutely love Chas Market. I have been dining here for years and can say that everything on the menu is delicious and tastes like it's made with love and care. I highly recommend trying the beef bulgogi and the kimchi jjigae soup, and on the lighter side, the bibimbap is incredible too. What really makes a Korean meal is the banchan, and Chas' banchan is exceptional! It's very easy to order. You seat yourself and grab a drink from the cooler which has a wide variety of options, both domestic and foreign drinks. Servers are fast and attentive. I have never waited long to receive my food. I can happily say that this is my favorite Korean restaurant in San Antonio I will be coming here for years to come.

Yelp
UPDATE: We came back for the 2nd time! Food are still great we love the short ribs but its just 1 piece per person Spicy chicken bulgogi, pork bulgogi, beef bulgogi -- and we had soju & corona. Also there wasn't any cucumber kimchi that I liked the first visit. it was busy today its like 5 tables in and its just 1 server. We still tipped 20% of our bill but please Chas Market don't overwhelm your staff. I know its a small family owned business but it'll be better if its 1/2 server throughout shifts. Just sharing my 2 cents.

Yelp
This place is a hidden gem! As you enter- You sit wherever you'd like & the server will come to serve you. Our server was very helpful and friendly, he gave us a lot of good recommendations and made sure we had everything we needed. They have a large selection of drinks, the lunch platters are a good deal for what you're paying for! Out of them all we thought the chicken bulgogi was the best & the bibimbab. The pork bulgogi had a lot of fatty pieces which I'm not too keen on, overall it was delicious.
