In-house fresh baked breads and a mission with a purpose!!! Found this place from a random google map search, and very glad we did. Food was fantastic, and service was even better. Interacted with at least four different staff members who were all helpful and joyful. The owner was there and we learned that all of the breads are baked in house daily and their purpose is to help folks through recovery with employment. We will stop in for a bite any time we travel thru Lexington.

Nice place. The burgers were pretty good & the bread pudding had just the right amount of coffee flavor where it wasn’t overpowering. I wish it had a bit more cinnamon flavor though. I’d definitely come back to try more things

My first visit to this spot was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The food came out fresh, hot, and packed with flavor. ​I went with the breakfast burrito, and it was a solid choice. The steak was a standout—tender, perfectly cooked, and seasoned just right. While the cilantro-chickpea tortilla wasn't my favorite it was still well-made and didn't detract from the overall quality of the dish. ​The biscuit and gravy was also excellent, a classic done right. All in all, it was a great meal, and I'm already looking forward to my next visit—and checking out their East End location.

We wanted a new place for brunch and we ended up here. The place is nice with a cozy atmosphere. The staff were also friendly and very knowledgeable of the menu. I tried the basil chicken. While the sandwich was good, the portion was relatively small. It might not be fulfilling if someone is really hungry. I did have a cinnamon roll after it which made the meal fulfilling. I recommend the peacon roll over the milk chocolate one, but both are tasty! Will definitely be back for the rolls! Very tasty.

Everyone was super friendly and helpful! You order at the counter in the front and take a number to your seat inside or out and they bring the food to you! The food was very tasty and we enjoyed a chocolate cinnamon bun too.

My partner and I have been here 4 times, the food is amazing and the staff are always friendly and very nice The pomegranate ricotta cinnamon roll is the best- nothing over powers the other, and it is not overly sweet, it's a perfect seasonal item. Their brioche buns are the best, I've never had brioche as good as these! We decided we want to come here once a week for breakfast

Perfect I had an absolutely delightful dining experience! The food was the best, with each dish bursting with flavor and freshness. The service was top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff who made sure our needs were met. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, making it the perfect spot for a night out with friends or a special occasion. Went for breakfast. Food was fresh, hot. Burger was well cooked. Great premise, doing it well.

Went on a Saturday for lunch time and the place was pretty crowded. Order at the counter. Friendly Staff helped with the menu. My husband really enjoyed the monte Cristo croissant sandwich. The southern eggs Benedict was good, but I didn't personally enjoy the fried green tomato.

Was sent there by a local to have their must have cinnamon rolls. Although they are a must have the breakfast hash recommended by the server is an absolute must! Gravy, meat, potatoes, green beans underneath, etc... so good!!

Found it through Yelp and came right over. We both ordered the breakfast plate. My eggs were cooked perfectly and the bacon was just as I wanted, crispy! But the biscuit with gravy was the hit of the morning! Great texture to the biscuit and the gravy-delicious! The order taker was quite pleasant and helped us order. The food came out quickly and was hot! I'd definitely come back. Industrial looking but comfortable. Nice vibe here. Great place for breakfast in Lexington!

Food was delicious, all made fresh, and was SUCH a good price. Love the seasonal offerings they had for the holidays, and the way they decorated inside. The team members were so friendly, as well. I wish I was a local, I would be a frequent customer!

Food and service were excellent, as always! About a week ago, I took someone there who had never visited, and they were so impressed they've already been back.

I found this eatery on Yelp and decided to give it a try. Based on the reviews, I expected a crowd, but there weren't very many people there on a Sunday morning. The parking lot is huge, and there is plenty of seating inside. The menu is on the smaller side, but there are certainly enough offerings to meet any craving. I ordered the French toast sticks and an eggs benedict, with a sweet tea. The French toast was the perfect example of crunchy on the outside, pillowy soft on the inside. The accompanying syrup was great as it wasn't too sweet. The eggs benedict was ok. I would try something else were I to visit again. The biscuit was fresh and soft but not flavorful at all. I needed salt and pepper to accent the flavors. The sweet tea was semi-sweet. The staff seemed friendly enough, and the price point seemed appropriate.

I love DV8's food but even more so their mission to help those who need a second chance find employment. They have the best chicken marmalade sandwich out there and pretty much anything they make is good. They bake all of their bread in house and you can taste the difference with how fresh it is. I also love their salad with the freshest of ingredients. I would highly recommend giving them a try if you haven't done so yet!

Really good food. I had a breakfast burrito that was perfect. They had some chocolate chip cookies that looked incredible. The staff was really nice. They could do a better job staying on top of taking out the trash though. The trash cans were backed up.

Probably the best tomato soup I've ever had, and the grilled cheese sandwich was awesome

I'd give this place more stars if I could. First of all I chose to go here because they support hiring people with addiction issues that are in recovery. I'm a drug and alcohol counselor and this concept is amazing and should be in every city in every state. Then there is the food. Omg. So I tried the special of steak and street corn tacos, two in a serving and they were amazing! I also wanted to try the clam chowder but didn't want a whole bread bowl, they were very accommodating and let me just purchase a cup of chowder which was very good with chunks of goodness. Service was outstanding as well!

DV8 Kitchen in Lexington has a warm, welcoming vibe with a mission that makes the place stand out. I had the 2 eggs, 2 sausage, fruit, and toast with a chocolate roll. The meal was good, though the eggs and sausage looked a little plain on the plate. The chocolate roll was rich and delicious. Service was friendly, and the baked goods overall seem to be the star here.

The restaurant is clean and the staff is incredible! I love their mission and feel great about picking this restaurant for breakfast and lunch!!! The lavender cinnamon roll has been my favorite!

Looking for a lunch spot? This was a great place to stop and enjoy a meal. A large variety of sandwiches, salads and baked goods. Don't missed the sourdough bread baked on site. It is really delicious. We enjoyed the Mediterranean sandwich that had a good selection of crunch fresh vegetables and a slightly spicy hummus. The bread was toasted and it made for a really good vegan/vegetarian option. Also had the fried green tomato BLT. Nicely made with lots of flavor and a tasty sauce. Take out and dine in both available. $$

We wanted a good breakfast sandwich and figured we would take advantage of car and not be limited to places within walking distance of the dorms. This place was so good! It has a nice, busy, slightly artsy vibe. You order at the front counter, they give you a number for your table tent and then they bring the food out. It was surprisingly fast and service was friendly. We ordered breakfast plates, a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich, a honey siracha chicken sandwich, a chocolate croissant, tots and coffee. It was around $50 for four of us for a great, fairly fast breakfast. The chicken sandwich was delicious! The chicken was nice, plump and crispy and the sauce was very good with pickles on a flaky biscuit. The tots were well cooked and seasoned. The chocolate croissant was different because it was chocolate cream on top vs inside. It was nice and light and creamy. Even the coffee was good.

Got the steak burrito and it was AMAZING!! This place is the best for breakfast!!! Also got the pecan cinnamon roll. Mind blowingly delicious

A place that starts with a mission such as this restaurant has already got my vote for being a good place...but that doesn't mean they have to create good food and a pleasant environment, it is however what you get. Best burger in town was fantastic...meat was seasoned perfectly and the toppings complimented the amazing brioche bun baked in their bakery. The sliders were the mini version of my burger and my friend said they were crazy good. Others in my group got the cinnamon roll, general tso's tacos, eggs Benedict, breakfast burrito, and the breakfast taco...nothing was wasted, everything looked great and our large group was satisfied with every morsel of food presented! Also, despite being busy...service was fast and friendly...If you don't give this place a try, shame on you...I will visit again

excellent service, eclectic comfort food, I had THE best breakfast sandwich I have ever had, dijonaise sauce and gluten free bun, delicious cold brew, great atmosphere, would be a regular if I lived in Lexington

I have been to both locations in Lexington and DV8 can do no wrong. There food is immaculate and the restaurant is always clean. Customer service is a top priority here as well. I have no complaints thus far and will be happy to return at anytime.

I am quite literally OBSESSED with DV8. It's our usual Sunday morning treat as they have excellent breakfast options. I was hungry af so I opted for the breakfast burrito (a fav), the biscuit & gravy, and tots. The burrito seriously is so delicious. I don't know all that is in it, but it is my go to choice. Their biscuits of course are always fresh and delicious along with the gravy. The service was wonderful. There was very little wait and we were handed a menu immediately upon walking in. The restaurant was also spotless. Plenty of seating and a good place to just eat and chill.

We visited this unique location for lunch at noon on a Saturday. It was busy but not overwhelmingly so. We stood in line for maybe five minutes to order. The food is delivered to your table, self service on drinks. I can't say enough good things about this restaurant! The vibe is ultra cool, the food is fresh and delicious. The service was impeccable. I've never seen a cleaner restaurant. I ordered one of the salads with the sweet cider dressing - LOVED! We also tried out one of the cinnamon rolls. Breakfast menu looks great. My husband had the hamburger with the egg. They use 100% black Angus ground beef. The patty was thicker than most places. My husband didn't care for the brioche bun but I love them so that's just a matter of taste. The Tetris fries were super crispy, hot, seasoned and delicious! My husband decided to mix some ketchup with the Cholula hot sauce for dipping... highly recommend! The quality of the ingredients was super fresh and made to order. The pricing is fair and it was nice to be at an establishment that didn't feel like an over priced money grab. Will definitely be back!

The food was very tasty! Was a little disappointed in the orange marmalade chicken sandwich - it had only one chicken tender on a huge brioche bun. Also, we came on a Saturday at about 1pm and they were out of biscuits and slider buns. The general Tao's tacos were fantastic, maybe a little heavy on the sauce - but overall great tasting food.

There are so many reasons DV8 Kitchen has a very well deserved solid 5 star rating! That's something very rare here in Yelp land so take notice and make sure you go show them some love! Customer service is stellar from the warm, genuine greeting when you walk in to the quick, friendly delivery of the food! I mean, you'll still be smiling from the service at the counter when your food arrives and then, the smile gets even bigger! The Tetris Tater Tots alone would make anyone happy!! I had the Monte Cristo which is on the flakiest, softest pillow of a croissant I've ever eaten and hubby had the DV Ocho. He said it was one of the tastiest things he's had in a long time and almost ordered another one to go for later! We shared the tots that had a really nice seasoning on them and were piping hot! The jam on the Monte Cristo definitely needs to be bottled if it's not already! I highly recommend DV8 Kitchen for breakfast and brunch, both on the same day, maybe a couple times a week!!

Great spot to stop for lunch and we left feeling so inspired. The staff were very friendly and even though we got there close to closing we were still able to order a full meal. Biscuits are heavenly! We really enjoyed the scratch made marmalade and apple butter. The friendliest service around.

Went for breakfast. Small place, order at counter and they bring you. We ordered orange marmalade chicken and breakfast plate. Staff was friendly and food was fast. However bacon came out underdone. They did bring better bacon out fast. Orange chicken was tasty but not really very orangey. Biscuits were very good and strawberry jam was delicious.

First time visit on Sunday with my wife. I ordered breakfast Reuben. My wife ordered the southern eggs Benedict and we shared some bread pudding.Her eggs Benedict was delicious. The addition of fried green tomato was perfect. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is relaxing and inviting. Large indoor and outdoor seating areas. Clean facility. Family friendly. A must try!

DV8 has you order at the counter, and then they give you a number and bring you your food. All the staff was friendly, and the food came out in less than ten minutes. We had our pup, so we sat on the covered patio. I ordered the bacon, egg, and cheese on a biscuit. The bacon was not as crispy as I prefer, but it was good. There was so much melted cheese on it in every bite. I got a poached egg on my buttery soft fluffy biscuit. My hubby enjoyed the delicious breakfast tacos. We split a cinnamon roll. The cream cheese icing was delectable, and I spread it, so I got some in each bite of the cinnamon roll.

I visited this establishment the morning of 5/09/23. I found them on Yelp by searching for gluten-free options for breakfast in Lexington. I discovered this was founded by an individual who wanted to help give folks a second chance at life, after recovery or serving jail time. This made me want to visit even more, because everyone deserves a second chance in life. The staff were super sweet and very helpful. They knew the ingredients in all of the dishes and were able to help me create my own sandwich. They have gluten-free brioche buns!!! Omg, i was in heaven. I ordered the Orange Marmalade Chicken Sandwich subbed with a Brioche Bun and without honey butter (since I'm dairy-free as well). It was delicious! The chicken was moist and tender, the orange marmalade was heavenly, and that brioche bun was fire! I also had a Gluten-Free Chocolate Chip Cookie which was nice and chewy, which is what I like in a cookie, although it was a bit grainy. My friend ordered the Southern Eggs Benedict and really enjoyed it. She ordered a Lavender Iced Cinnamon Roll to go, to give to her friend (I'm not sure of the result from that, but it looked divine). All of the table tops are hand painted by various people and are lovely for viewing. The overall vibe of the place is laid back and chill. My friend and I did have coffee with our meals, and neither one of us liked the coffee. They offered decaf, medium and dark roasts. I tried the dark roast and my friend had the medium roast and both were very bitter. But, I did not visit here for the coffee, I visited for the food. When I return to Lexington, this will definitely be on my list for breakfast or lunch.

My husband and I stopped by here the other day when we were in Lexington. In this restaurant you go up to the counter and place your order then they bring it out to you at your table. I got a chorizo breakfast taco and also chose a pumpkin cinnamon roll with pecans on top. He had eggs and biscuits and gravy. We both had coffee. I had had this place bookmarked for a while to try. The service was good and we did not have to wait too long for our meal to come out and everything was hot and delicious. The staff were very friendly when they waited on us and answered every question that I had. We were glad we stopped.

A great experience with really great food! We really enjoyed our meal and our experience at DV8. I don't often give five stars, but the messaging, purpose, attitude of the staff, and especially, the food was excellent. We had breakfast, and it was definitely one that we will remember. Everything was great, and I hope to see more of these pop up all over!

So good!!! We stopped in for breakfast and I'm so glad we did! This restaurant has that quick, casual feel with an elevated menu. I ordered the southern eggs Benedict and it was delicious; so much flavor. Our food came out quickly, and I thought presentation was great. I wish I lived closer because there were so many things on the menu that I wanted to try.

Update: The owner, Rob, responded to my review...how many owners do this!? Anyway, I really appreciated his response so much that I am changing my review to 3 stars. Maybe we will stop by to try their baked goods! I say it is worth another try! We so wanted to love this...the place had cool vibe, but the breakfast was underwhelming. My husband had cancer treatment that morning, so we arrived right as they opened and ordered scrambled eggs + sausage - sourdough toast. I wanted to try their bakery items, but the pastry display looked old - we heard they bake in-house - I finally settled on a croissant, but again it was underwhelming, dense, tough, and definitely not freshly baked or flaky buttery goodness We left unsatisfied - Starbucks for the rescue!

I can't say enough good about DV8! The chicken salad salad is an all-time Lexington favorite of mine, and the mission behind this place is just amazing. Never had a bad meal here, and the service is always spectacular - seriously, some of the friendliest and most helpful people in Lexington!

Food was good, service was good and ambiance was good as well. They need to work on cleaning the tables off. All the empty tables had crumbs on them. We were there long enough to watch them never be cleaned. I would still eat here because the food was tasty.

Very delicious and filling breakfast and pastries at DV8 Kitchen! This was our first time coming and we will be sure to make our way back! The service was very friendly and attentive and the ambiance was colorful and funky! I love the mission behind the restaurant and I look forward to bringing more friends and family to support the cause and to eat the delicious food!

I looked at the photos and told my husband, looking at the photos, I don't understand why this place has a 5 star review but maybe the food taste amazing; so we decided to give it try on the way back home from our Kentucky weekend get away. Staff is nice but that's were this place stopped being good. Food smelled and tasted bland and as if it was made for someone else hours ago and just sat there until we arrived. I'm still baffled by the 5 star review. We ordered what they told us are their signature dishes. DV Och and southern eggs Benedict. Both terrible.

Hubby and I voted out breakfast best meal of the weekend. My eggs and bacon with fresh fruit hit the spot and my biscuit was larger than my hand! Hubs had the same with a giant homemade cinnamon roll.. We stuffed ourselves and can't wait to go back!

I really like the idea of this second chance kitchen. Music was a little loud for my tastes. Food and coffee was ok and the service was friendly and quick.
