First time customers and we were lost when looking for parking as my map took us to the opposite side of the entrance. Food in mind, we parked and came in through the back. As we walked toward the front, the greeters got our info and informed us that there would be a 35 min wait. They then kindly asked if we'd want inside dining or outside, even offered first available (which has been rare for me)... the wait allowed us to walk and look around at shops right across the street, even came back to enjoy the nice breeze and sit on one of their many sitting areas provided.
Once contacted, we were offered a table outside and were blessed to have Natascha as our server. Haven't had the pleasure? Well, she mentioned being their for a few months, so if not for the food, the history, or the beauty of The Guenther, go experience the down to earth and very welcoming personality of Natascha.
Food and coffee were good. Looked forward to getting one of the desserts that were listed on the board - was a no go on the Apple strudel but my second option was the cinnamon roll. No regrets! Next trip may just be for dessert; nothing wrong with that.
Fed and filled with laughter, I was made to feel at home. Thanks to all the employees, front and back line that help make this place keep going.
