Was craving some curry after a long day in Kobe and found this place through Gmaps. We are glad that we chose this place to have dinner, everything from the food to service are exceptional and memorable. The highlight is definitely the extremely friendly and welcoming owner that welcomes any guest with a big smile. He was very accommodating and attentive throughout. I recommend getting the signature 'aigake' curry to try both of the owner's own specialty curry. Both curries are quite different and delicious in its own way. The rice is pretty good too, very fragrant. The owner recommended us to mix in some of his homemade pickled carrots and it was amazing, it's never knew carrots can be that good tbh, highly recommended to try it out. Although the shop is small, I love how the owner decorates his shop, its obvious that he put alot of time designing it and it's really cool. Highly recommended.

As far as curries go in Japan, this one is already quite good, with decent flavour and some heat for the dry curry. Which is way better than the usual kind without spices and too sweet The gyusuji stew is not really the tendon part, it's fatty beef. Texture is ok, sweet style, not the very melt in your mouth type. The beef has quite a lot of fats

Came here as a solo traveler and felt really welcomed. The chef-owner was very friendly, which made the experience even nicer. And of course, the highlight was the Japanese curry — I really loved it and would definitely come back again. Thank you!

I’ve had the pleasure of visiting Curry Shop twice, and both experiences were memorable. During my first visit, I was feeling unwell from my trip. Surprisingly, after enjoying the curry rice, I started to feel better! It was as if the dish had some magical healing powers. On my second visit, I was eager to return, and the curry rice did not disappoint. The flavors were rich and comforting, making it one of my most exciting meals. If you’re a curry lover, this place is definitely worth a visit!

A cute and only curry restaurant near Sannomiya station (took us about 15 min walking). The owner only provided two curry, the traditional or the dry one. Both of them were good, but I personally recommend the dry curry (with the raw egg)! The flavors of spices and strong tastes was really impressed me. The owner didn’t provide the English menu, but all you need to do is “dry” or “traditional” curry.

Very specific Japanese style curry restaurant. "Aigake" curry comes with two different types of curry and rice.

The nostalgic vibes are immaculate. The owner is a delight, and the stewed-beef curry is velvety and unctuous with a unique spice profile.

Excellent curry rice shop and friendly couple running the place. Toppings of cheese, onsen tamago, and gyusuji.
