About a 1-1.5: After having a meal in the area, we decided to stop by Ovenbird Bakery to pick up some pastries to go before we went back on the road. They have bagels, various breads, cookies, croissants, pastries, and scones, and even sandwiches.
From the bakery case, we picked:
+an almond croissant
+a pains aux raisins
+a goat cheese, green onion & sun-dried tomato scone
+an oatmeal-like cookie
+a strawberry danish pastry
Unfortunately, the cookie was the only thing that was enjoyable, as it was chewy with some good fillings. The other pastries, however, were super dried out and tasted stale. The almond croissant, while it looked tasty, was cold, super chewy, and the exterior being very dry. The pains aux raisins was probably one of the worst ones we've had, as it had this weird sticky consistency. The scone was so dry, and you could hardly taste any of its savoriness. The strawberry danish's cream cheese was coagulated and separated.
Service could have been more friendly and more helpful.
