Came because of Anthony Bourdain, stayed because of the lovely vibe and the delicious banh cuon - close to yet so far away from the tourist centre that is old town. One dish only, but this one will be all you need 😍

Cheap, quick, hot, authentic Bánh cuốn. For any Anthony Bordain fan, this place is a must visit in Hanoi. In my opinion, out of all food houses introduced in the show, this is the only one that successfully preserved the authenticity. And remembering that the show was on TV in 2011, an applause for the owners. Note that there is not many parking lots, so walk or book a bike ride.

The lady making the pancakes was very nice and showed us how we should eat them. The dipping sauce was absolutely delicious and every pancake was made fresh in front of us. One of my favourite street foods in hanoi

Good snack to eat. The seller is a very nice and kind lady with full of smile. The soup is uniquely delicious and you won’t find it anywhere else outside Vietnam I think. It’s totally a traditional food of Vietnam / Hanoi, so you will feel like a local when you eat here.

Yes, this where Bourdain ate. They serve just one dish - pancakes with a soup. Such a simple thing, yet so delicious! Highly recommend if you're looking for a local and authentic experience.

This was one of the best meals I’ve had in Vietnam! There’s no menu, but that’s part of the experience—each dish is cooked right in front of you (if you sit at the right table) The sweet and welcoming owner guided me through every dish, showing me exactly how to eat it, what spices to add and what to dip it in. Highly recommend for anyone looking for authentic Vietnamese cuisine literally just across the street from Old Quarter
