New Fu Lim Restaurant

Nice and clean facility. Staff were quick and friendly. We got beef chow fun, orange chicken, Mongolian beef, and salt and pepper spare ribs. I like how everything was not overly salty. The orange chicken has good flavor and the coating is soft but light. Beef chow fun was good. Soft noodles not light on the sauce. Salt and pepper ribs, coating was light and fell apart quickly an could some a hint more of pepper. Mongolian beef was a miss for me-the beef was kind of tough, flavor was not what I am used to in Mongolian beef, it was a little sour and tasted like soy sauce. But overall, would go back to try other items on the menu!

I just stopped in for Sushi, I tried a Fried Tiger Roll. It was very flavorful. Quick Service. Very clean. Very spacious. It was 100° outside and they have AC ❣️ So refreshing after a long afternoon👍👍 Check out next-door homemade Mexican ice cream. On the other side just got my hair done at Sophia's Salon and it also has a Barber stall. A few doors down got a pedicure at Sassy Nails earlier. Next time I am going to checkout a hole in the wall called " Black Friday" across the street and even a donut shop. Who knew Fremont street on Eastside had the Hookups ❣️

5 stars for the price. I wanted soup, she wanted sushi, and we live eastside so we didn’t want to enter town to a place with $17 dishes and tip. so this is a nice local gem. it is worth noting though: the sushi rice is not seasoned with vinegar/mirin/sugar/salt like expected— just white rice. it’s understandably labor intensive though. still tasted good.

My mother wanted to try some Chinese food and remembered passing by this place and recently we decided to stop by and it was worth it, the food is good and the staff is very nice.

Sushi was extremely sweet but I love it that way. Broccoli beef was good. Not really a fan of the sweet and sour chicken. I didn't wait that long so that was pretty nice. (7 minutes) I would be coming again for sushi. <3 They seem to be very stingy on the walnut shrimp. Sad..

Very upset with the lack of flavor, it seems like there food is starting to go down hill. There chowmein tastes like boiled noodles with no flavor, will not recommend.

Tasty Chinese food and reasonably priced. They also serve sushi rolls which is unique and appreciated. Everything I have tried has been fresh and flavorful. Their Wonton soup and the California roll have been my favorites.

Listen every New Yorker love Chinese food but I'm old school and when you just make plain fried rice and put either shrimp pork or beef in it I'll pass... I just love old school Cantonese style cooking...

Nee Fu Lim is such a great spot! The food is always fresh, flavorful, and the portions are huge -- definitely worth the price. My favorite is the Mongolian Chicken combo plate; it's always delicious and hits the spot every time. If you're on the east side of Stockton near Fremont Street, give them a try -- you won't be disappointed!

Definition of "hole in the wall" and boy are they good. Another plus, their prices are BEYOND affordable (so please tip them well) Went here for lunch and came back to order the same exact thing for dinner. I see all the other reviews for this place and it's amazing to see how long this place has been serving this area. They're fast and friendly. I'll be returning here to eat in the future..

New Fu Lim NEVER MISSES Three rolls AND an order of walnut shrimp for under $40. We order about 20 minutes ahead and it's always simple, she tells you the price right then and there. We make the drive from the other side of town, DEF WORTH IT. Order to go, it's take out only

The food is always great and fresh. I mostly order their sushi, but my other friends tried it and they shared their food with me and both sushi and other food are great. The service is fast, accurate, and polite. The ambiance ranges from empty and quiet, to semi-busy. I don't know if they do dine-in still or not, since recently when I ordered it was to-go only. The prices are fairly cheap compared to other places with similar menu items. I highly recommend going here.

My favorite place to eat. Been going here for years. The food is awesome. The owners are the best, they are always very kind and welcoming. My family's favorite food to order here is the house Wong Tong soup, sushi rolls, ginger beef, beef, and broccoli, fried prawns, Walnut shrimp... the list is long. I recommend just trying everything, but those are our favorites.

Chow mein & rice have minimal flavor, but the protein is good Also great pricing u can't beat

since reopening the restaurant, food hasn't been the same. Ordered wonton soup it literally was flavor less and only had like 5 wontons in the whole the container. I usually order #4 lemon children combo but it was served way less food and flavor wasn't there. Been coming here for years and never had an issue until now. Super underwhelming .

My family and I have been going here for 20 + yrs . Amazing . Went tonight the whole atmosphere felt different . Found out it's different people . Above all it's different but willing to give them a chance . . I give it a B- . There still new . .

I had Nu fu Lim last week with my daughters family, and i must say the best chinese food i've had in stockton in a long time, and i can't wait to go back to their again. excellent everything.

My partner and I love New Fu Lim. A reliable and well priced place to grab a meal. My favorite plate to get for dinner or lunch with the Salt and Pepper shrimp plate. Comes with their delicious chow mien and pork fried rice! Even comes with 2 pieces of garlic chicken. We've also enjoyed their tiger roll and rainbow roll. Both have been delicious and good quality. I can also recommend the dumpling soup on a cold day.

Do not miss out on this restaurant because of the location, I order house won ton soup and it was delicious. If you're in the neighborhood try it out. I added some updated menu prices 11/28/23

Best sushi around San Joaquín County, this's our favorite Chinese restaurant for over 10 years, the service is always great.

Our office loves New Fu Lim! The soups and more than enough lunch plates are such a good deal. Our only complaint is that they don't open until 12pm so we are hungry when we order but starving by the time we get to pick up our lunch. We wish they would open at 11:00am, even 11:30am would be so helpful. The prices are very good and the ladies that work there are super nice and very helpful.

It's one of the best hole in the wall restaurant in stockton. Get the salt and pepper shrimps and salt and pepper ribs; you will not be disappointed.

I have always gone here for Chinese food it's always feels me up and not to bad on prices, best thing to try is their shrimp tempura roll!!! And there pork fried rice is delicious! It's even better after some lol

Ok so the food is pretty good, it's not great and nothing is above and beyond but it's ok and the service is ok too, they make an ok sushi roll kind of small but it's ok, the garlic chicken is boneless and crispy however you want to get the box open or it will steam and not be crispy, ( if your getting it to go), but anyway I haven't found it to be very authentic but it's got a typical short menu, and for the money it's still a very good value even in the time of covid19, War in Ukraine and the alzheimer's patient running our country ( he thinks) lol just kidding but with the prices going up so fast you need a value sometimes

I was looking for something better than Panda Express. This place came up and I'm so happy it did. I ordered Honey Walnut Shrimp with a side of steamed rice. Came out to around $12. It tasted so good I forgot to take a picture. I can't wait until the COVID-19 thing is over so I can dine-in. PS..The portion size was amazing.

Well I am very disappointed in this. First, I used Postmates to deliver and that was a shit show to begin with. When we got the food it seemed as if the bag was sitting on its side. But that's not new fu Lim fault (I don't think) Secondly... I never had to sweet and sour chicken like this!!! WTH?!?! (See pics) Thirdly... the salt and pepper shrimp? Oh hell no, who eats the shell and legs? Not me. Oh and the Mayo prawns... I mean walnut prawns?? I never found any walnuts and tasted a lot of Mayo. (Hubby said he got A WALNUT-and I'm calling BS) The chow main tasted better than it looked, I'll give them that much but I won't be returning. And if this is what everyone thinks is good Chinese food... yuck!!! Guess I'll have to go back to the Bay Area for that. You guys passing out 4 and 5 stars are smooth trippin and you have no idea what good Chinese food is.

Just tried their chow fun and fried garlic chicken. Both were delicious. I've never had chow fun. I thought I was getting some fun version of chow mein, but it turns out it's a dish of it's own lol. So glad I got it. It's the best noodles ever! There was chicken, beef and shrimp in the dish. Excellent. A+ and super filling.

(06/20/17) I've eaten here a handful of times and have always had a good experience. This was my first time dining in and I ordered the lunch combo of orange chicken and pork fried rice. You can sub the rice for chicken chow mein for $.50. The orange chicken this time around seemed a little bland than I remember. Not bad but wish it had a bit more flavor. The pork fried rice was plenty and didn't have peas! Always a plus for me. The meal also came with egg flower soup which was good. For $6, the food is worth it. They don't serve you quite like a regular restaurant where they check on you and ask about refills, but that doesn't bother me. I'll continue to come here every now and then.

Just a little hole in the wall. They need to update their environment and have a good cleaning, but THE FOOD IS DELICIOUS! Love this place my go to place at least once a month or more. Try it you just might LOVE it too.

I love New Fu Lim! I started coming here with my family as a kid and I continue to come here to this day. They have great service. The prices are fair and the food it delicious. I love the chow mein, fried rice, and salt and pepper shrimp, but there are many other plates worth trying.

Place is very outdated. I did takeout and the food wasn't bad but when I picked it up the restaurant portion looks disgusting that it killed my vibe. My girlfriend didn't go in so she didn't get to see what I saw so she considered it average food.

Rating and reviews are real! Their food is good. Food: you'll be surprised, they have sushi rolls, good sushi rolls actually. Their house fried rice is good too! Not greasy like other Chinese place. Ordered 3 kinds of rolls, walnut shrimp, garlic chicken and fried rice. Price: price is good, cheap actually. Everything is average 5.50, including the rolls. Service: it's ok considered is a Chinese restaurant. Place:it's on a kinda sketchi location, parked in front of the restaurant but not sure if there's a back parking. This place is Good for ordering/calling ahead. it will satisfy your Japanese/Chinese cravings.

After some burgers at Country Boys Inn we saw this on the way home and my first thought was, "That doesn't fit. Chinese and sushi out East?" So I bookmarked it. This is a definite "Hole-in-the-wall" kinda place and what drew me to it was SUSHI because you don't see these kind of places around this part of town. I already had the assumption that this was going to CHEAP and light on the pockets. Then there is the description of "cheap sushi". Yeah... that doesn't sound like a trip to the toilet... BUT I tried it anyway. The sushi was good for the price. Most of the rolls are around $5.25 and are pretty large. I'm a sushi-drenched-in-sauce kinda gal so I didn't mind it. I was so happy to see that they used sushi medium grain rice for the rolls because most Chinese run sushi places use long grain which definitely defines the sushi and not in a good way. I have posted pictures of the rolls and our favorite one would be the Philadelphia roll. Their sushi menu is limited, I want to say about 12-15 rolls? I can't remember. Also, no sashimi so their rolls have no raw fish on them. We also ordered lunch plates. My son had the honey walnut shrimp which was soooo good! The chow mien and fried rice aren't half bad! Their orange chicken was very orangey which was good because most of the orange chicken that I've had doesn't have that quality to it. I had the beef curry with steamed rice. I would rather have had the medium grain rice instead of the jasmine that came with it. The service was very friendly and because of the location it keeps that place from being too crowded. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't empty at all, many people were rolling through there so they are sure as heck doing something right!

This place is not the most pleasing to the eye but it's our number one spot for take out. Great food at a nice price. Portions are large and delicious. You gotta try it, you may just love it as much as my family does.

Ive been comin here for years and is a staple in the community. Chow mein is delicious and the rice is great. They are always accommodating, friendly and professional. Always greet their regulars by name and remember what they like. I would definitely recommend this place looking to try a different chinese food place other then an unauthentic chain.

Since the lockdown takeout orders are the way to go. I was in the mood for some Chinese food and thought I'd give the New Fu Lim a try. I knew it was there but I'm embarrassed to say I'd never been before. Not being familiar with them I stuck to some basics. The Shrimp Won Ton soup was fresh, hot and full of flavor. The same for the House Chow Mein light and not cooked with too much oil and packed with a mix of beef, pork, and shrimp! The staff were in good spirits and efficient. The New Fu Lim will be added to my list of favorite Chinese restaurants in town.

It's a good spot surprisingly ! I came in assuming it was going to be wack but left delightfully proved wrong ! Maybe it's the location ! Idk what ever it is sorry to the owner and I'll be back

The food is very good but they don't give you alot. Its cheap but you need to order like 2 combo plates of your super hungry.

To who it may concern this place isn't upscale but food has flavor I can't knock them for. The sushi is filling and not small so don't let your eyes fool your stomach the rolls are enough to make a grown man say enough. I'm 220 and can only eat 3 max tiger is my favorite. Staff the ladies are welcoming and also good when it comes to faces always greet us with a smile.

I ordered by phone. Arrived a little early so my food was not ready. The lady was so nice. I waited for a little while but when my food was ready it was packaged so neatly. I was impressed. Brought the food home and opened the bag, boxes and containers. The food was fresh and tasty, so good. No weird smells. They have a new customer. Thank you, I am a very pleased customer.

Loved this place. Food is affordable, fresh and best of all tasty. I would have never walked in there but a family member insisted we try it. I was there for the first time on friday of last week and went again today.

I had tried this place, 3 times never looked to close but today I found that looked like little bugs and found this as well, I understand small business maybe be impacted with covid but, please give us fresh food this is the second restaurant that the same thing happens

Place does not look like much when you drive past it. Or even when you walk inside. But you'll be surprised by the little whole on the wall restaurants. I walked in and ordered the number six to be safe and It was delicious! The food was tasty and served in a timely manner. My sisters had the sushi (tiger roll and California roll) and it was also really good. I recommend this place if you wanna come with your family and you are in a budget. This place is really good and the prices are even better. The service is nice. And the lady up front looks a little mean but she is really nice and tending.
