I was recently in San Antonio for an event downtown and didn't want to go too far away for food. My group decided to stop by for dinner for three because we were really hungry, and it was close by. For 8pm on a Friday evening, it was pretty empty, but the restaurant closes at 9pm, so that might've been why. The parking situation was horrible. There were barely any spaces (and all taken) in front of the restaurant, but we did find a paid parking lot nearby; that parking lot did say parking validation available, but watch out because it was not for La Focaccia.
The restaurant was dark and cozy. It looked like they were starting to wrap up for the night. Dinner came with complimentary breads. We got the Linguine with Jumbo Shrimp, Chicken La Focaccia, and a House Special Pizza. For the price, the portion sizes of the food were not bad. However, all the dishes tasted pretty bland and nothing really special. I've had better Italian food everywhere else I've tried.
At the end of the dinner, our server told us that we could've parked at the free parking across the street (at the Good Year parking lot), but they didn't have any signs nor directions pointing to that parking lot for the restaurant. Overall, it wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either. 3 stars for the friendly server, otherwise it would've been 2 stars for the foods and parking. I probably would not go back.
