We were all excited to give Lenny's Casita a try, but wow was it disappointing.
We arrived as a party of five and waited 40 minutes for a table, even though half the tables were visibly empty. After the long wait, the host informed us that she could seat us only if we agreed to order and finish our meal within an hour, which started the evening off on the wrong foot.
Once seated, things didn’t improve. Our server took our order and confirmed the sauces each of us wanted, but when the food arrived, everyone got the exact same sauce, none of which matched what we had ordered.
The prices were honestly shocking. A basic bean-and-rice burrito is $19, something you can get for about $1.49 at Taco Bell. Any extra topping like extra mushrooms is around $10 per topping. By the end, each of us paid about $50 for a single burrito, and the quality did not match the price at all.
For comparison, a fully loaded burrito at Chipotle is around $14–$16 and, in my opinion, tastes significantly better, much higher quality and fresh.
We tried taking some leftovers home, but the food had such an unpleasant smell (poop) in the car that we ended up throwing it out altogether. That was the final straw.
Overall, this visit was frustrating, overpriced, and nowhere near the quality you’d expect for what they charge. I really hope the restaurant improves its service, pricing, and food quality.
