"Sure, you can get a great meal at Hawksmoor, the Manchester location of the London-original steakhouse, but we love the Spinningfields spot for a pre-dinner drink in its library-like bar. It feels like a members’ club without the annual fee. Unlike the restaurant, for which you need to snag a reservation, the bar—all dark wood, comfy black leather stools, and frosted windows—is almost never crowded.
