Batch Mead

Cool atmosphere. Derek was a most hospitable host. Took my mother here for her birthday and had a blast. So good I bought her a membership for Christmas. Shhhh --- don't tell her. Try the Valkyrie's Tears mead and the Huckleberry Hard Cider. Both are nicely sweet and tart. Very fruit-forward.

Dropped by to try their mead and tried a flight. All their selections were delicious, my favorites were Curse of Calypso and Viking Mjod. It also happened to be Viking day and people came in costumes while they played renaissance music. They had 5 dollar pizza slices and ax throwing. They also had these horns they drank from but unfortunately I wasn't able to get one, maybe next time. Plan to visit again.

It's ok. A couple of the meads I tried were a little too syrupy. It's not a very welcoming environment and feels like you need to look a certain way in order to get good service; like the typical Temecula starter pack. They also use AI on some of their bottle art which, yikes. The interior is nice, though. Overall, I just have nothing much to say about it.

Ordered in Kansas. Just tried the pomegranate mead for the first time and it won't be my last! This is truly delicious mead. From the first sip I could tell they absolutely know what they are doing. I'm even more excited to try the rest of my order (apple pie and Valkyrie's Tears) now. If you are reading this, give Batch Mead a try. They deserve it!

The mead here was best l mead I ever had. They were beautiful and delisious! I recommend getting a flight so you can try different flavors.

Take a break from the brewery and head to Batch Mead! Their meads and ciders are out of this world! The staff are amazing. They offer a meat & cheese board if you get hungry or you can bring your own goodies to snack on. Kid friendly and ample parking. YOU NEED TO COME HERE! You won’t be disappointed!

I literally rode my motorcycle here today with a buddy of mine. Absolutely amazing Mead. The guy who owns it was super friendly and taught me some new stuff today and you can totally see the passion he has for his product. Absolutely recommend this place for any and all occasions or just order their mead and have it shipped to ya. I took home a 4 pack of their Tempest because it was definitely a nectar from the gods. I'll be back to see ya guys soon✌️😍

This was a great find. Mead was a new experience for me. I thoroughly enjoyed it, I will drink it again! The Peach Habanero was my favorite but they were all great tasting.

Derek was serving us and he's a really sweet dude like his Mead. We tried all 3 flights (12 different meads). Most were sweet, few were too sweet, and a few too strong for me. The King of the Sea and Phantom of the Opera were my favorites. Honestly a really good deal for the price! The vibes were good we came here to pregame before heading to old town but I can see this being great spot for date night or just hanging out.

This place was good. The Meade is INCREDIBLY SWEET even the ones described as lower sugar. It was a little sugary for me and I have a sweet tooth. The fruity Meade was better but still was crazy sugar packed. The service was a little slow to start when they open at 3, there is a class before and they spent 30 minutes cleaning up and serving the people from the class. Our reservation was for 3 but we could barely flag them down. It's small and in a weird industrial park so the location is weird, but it was comfortable and they didn't rush us. It was ok, wouldn't make a trip for this but may stop by if it was convenient.

Not many mead places to visit in the area so stopping here is almost a requirement. We had 2 flights to sample and most of them were on the sweet side of the spectrum, but not overly sweet. We bought some bottles to bring home to taste with friend. The place isn't cheap but it was a good experience.

Popped in on a Saturday afternoon when we were passing by the area. I've been wanting to try Batch Mead for a while now! The meadery was a small, clean and airy industrial space tucked between other businesses. The staff were friendly, informative , and quick. They had a good variety of meads and all tasted very good and definitely strong! I could tell they use quality ingredients as I could taste the distinct flavors in my drink! I would bring my friend next time and highly recommend if you're in the area!

Not too much of a sweet alcohol fan but wanted to try something new! Batch mead is in a small business area, parking is pretty easy since there is a large space. Shop itself is small with few table and counter seating in addition to board games. Flights of 4 cost $20, I got the butter, viking mod, Sea nymths oath, and the sirens song. Each flight comes with the tasting notes on a card, which is a great addition while sipping. I liked the viking mod, super honey forward and not overly sweet. We played games while we sipped which is good entertainment. We didn't get any bottles here but this is a unique mead brewery worth checking out.

Loved the decor and ambiance of the place and the design of the bottles and menu but it was very hot since they did not have good ventilation and only had one person working on a weekend and it was very busy but the she was still friendly and did make sure to tell customers she would be with them soon. Did a tasting of the mermaid collection loved the pineapple one but they were all really sweet like dessert wine and a bit pricey for the amount you got in a skinny bottle. Really liked the little cards that went with each tasting so you know what you were tasting and information about it.

Fantastic vibes and mead! Like most meaderies this place is tucked away in a little industrial lot but the interior is warm and inviting with cute plants and wall decor. The people there helping us out were super nice and helped guide us to meads that best fit what we were wanting. And the flights come on this cute board with honeycomb shaped glasses that are super rad and fun to tilt around. Additionally, they had some fun little games you can play while you drink your mead which was fun to have! Now their meads are SWEET, if you're into that fantastic! Even if not I still would give it a shot because they have a bunch of fun flavors to try out, I got to try their different pie flavors but my all time favorite was their "Butter-Bee" a butterscotch flavored mead that taste like the butter-beer you would get from universal studios but with actual alcohol! Overall definitely recommend giving this place a go, especially if you haven't tried mead before and/or lean more towards sweeter drinks. It's a great experience to those who live or passing through temecula!

This was such a fun place to visit. We all picked different flavors and ended up taking some home.

Fun meadery with free axe throwing once a month, I believe. I'm not much of a mead person, but the glasses are aesthetically pleasing, the mead looked pretty, and they had cool cards that came with it. Some had sexy mermaids on them. I get heartburn easily is why I don't really like mead, but they all tasted great, I just get a little scared of the burn. The service was great. Everyone is really friendly. I also got a savory crepe that was pretty decent. I would like to come back again when I'm in the area.

Highly recommend! Amazing drinks, something different and good! Everyone was so sweet and kind to my friends and I. We had a great time! We tried all the drinks on tap. We purchased a few bottles! The owners are absolutely lovely.

Quaint little mead place in the industrial area of Temecula. We did a mead tasting. It was $18 for 4 tastings. They specialize in sweet mead so you have to have a palate for sweets. My personal favorite was the Pomegranate Mead. Our service was good as well. Andrea was helpful in describing the different notes of each mead.

I did a tasting of 4 meads and personally thought the meads were too sweet for my taste, but the flavors were spot on and the presentation, price, and interior were all great. They also have a ton of cute merch that I'd consider purchasing in the future!

Cute meadery, with a nice aesthetic inside. The service was good, and I did enjoy all the meads I had. The palette is probably a little too sweet for my tastes but I still appreciated what they were doing. Would return and would recommend.

Talk about a "Hidden gem"!!!! This place is a wonderful little nook, tucked away far off the usual beaten path of Temecula , in a very unassuming industrial park. The vibe is very chill, the staff is quite welcoming - and the mead? It's simply OUT OF THIS WORLD !!! A very lush (pun intended ) menu of mead and hard ciders awaits your perusal-- somewhere around 20 different varieties between the 2 (mead & cider) and they are simply fantastic. Tasting flights are a great way to get to know them, and there's bottles & 4 pack-cans available to go for a good amount of your choices honestly can't wait to go back and try/get more!

Definitely must visit if you enjoy your alcohol on the sweeter side. They ferment all their meads at the same place. Parking is easy to find and the location is a bit far from the freeway but it's in a great location away from residences which is good. Can just relax and enjoy your meads in peace. I enjoyed their Peach Habanero, strawberry pie and Peach Pie meads. Their bourbon and whiskey meads were awesome. The team members were very friendly. Very knowledgeable about the meads and very attentive. I enjoyed this place a lot and will definitely visit again. They have lots of board games and tables with fireplace. Something new to try rather than typical wine tasting.

I love that I was able to check this place out in between all the wine tasting. If you LOVE sweet drinks this is your place! They have a plethora of flavors to choose from. The space is really nice and the service was friendly. They also offer 10% military. (Thank you for honoring us!) I would say though that although I love my sweet drinks, these meads were overpoweringly sweet. There's another meadery location that I do like a bit more than this place only bc the sweetness is much more subtle with all their flavors.

Long overdue review update! Since our last experience, we've placed a few large orders and had each one delivered seamlessly (except when the switched to UPS, we had an issue with that one) but, it was resolved quickly! I have so many favorite meads here, literally too many to count, I haven't come across too many that I don't really care for. Stopped by for our first visit and I loved that it was empty besides a few other people because I get anxiety when places are too crowded. It was clean, beautifully set up and decorated and had awesome natural lighting. Spoke with Derek who was very patient with us ordering and explaining the different meads to us, Viking's Mjord is one of our new favorites and can't wait for the new releases to drop so we can bring our growler back to get refilled. Thank you for an enjoyable first visit!

Never knew about Mead until I tried this place! I'm not much of a wine drinker because I like the more sweeter drinks (like a Stella Rosa), so when I found out about Mead it was such an amazing discovery. I love all the notes you can taste in each drink. I just wished I lived closer so I could come visit more often! I've loved several of their drinks & have even bought bottles home. The meat & cheese box is also a must if you do a flight tasting.

It's small it's out of the way. Didn't get the name of the host? But she was very nice and friendly tall blonde she was very nice and helpful

Service was great. Long lines and personally can say I've had better mead. I likely would not be back, but it's a cute hangout spot if you're new to mead and just want to try what it's all about.

Great vibes all around. I discovered this local gem during a service call and had to bring my family back to check it out. Derek is amazing and everyone there makes you feel welcome. They have a mead or cider for every palate and are constantly creating new flavors. There was a pop-up crepe booth as well as axe throwing when we went. The crepes were delicious and the "Axeholes" taught our son how to throw an axe! Batch mead has a passion for their craft and it shines in the quality of their products. We will definitely return and recommend as a local hot spot.

Hey, we all love honey so why not try mead from Batch Mead. It's simply delicious drink made from water and ferment honey. They offer great variety of drinks with different flavours (drink responsibly ). If you are looking for something different than your regular beer or wine then this is spot to visit.

First let me start off that my son is a HUGE fan of this place, so of course this was a pick for his sisters 21st bday stop. The place is small but cozy, clean and cute. Liked that we were able to sample all the flavors, price was great. Staff was very friendly.

Came here on a whim...cute little spot away from the hustle and bustle of the town. We did two taster flights - most were a little too sweet for my liking - but I loved the "watermelon crush" and my husband liked the "from the ashes". We also got to sample the pumpkin flavor which was tasty.

A friend recommended this place, if you have never been here, you won't be disappointed. Small place that will catch you off guard. The servers are all accommodable, friendly and helpful. You are in for a treat if you love mead! Mead is a tasty, sweet and they offer some great varieties of flavors. I joined the "Hive" which is their subscription of mead. They have different options and some other cool promotions. I will be back again soon.

Great service. Restroom on site. Free ample parking. Indoor and outdoor dining/seats available. You can also buy their bottles. I got their flight and chose 4 meads. I got a bottle of the Pom and Strawberry Shortcake to take home! Cute decor and Instagram worthy for sure!

I LOVE mead! Whenever I get a chance to try a new meadery I take it. This is probably up in my top 2 favorites of all time. But since it's in Temecula it is my favorite here. You have to do a tasting flight. The options are just too good and they have so many. My favorites are from the ashes (I love the little kick of spice to it) and nectar of Valhalla ( great peach taste). The other flavors were great but those two stood out to me. They don't offer food and if you're lucky they'll have a charcuterie board available. Kid friendly as well (:

This review is long past due but batch mead is amazing. I originally met the owners at mead fest in Vista and tried their butterbee mead that was better than any other mead we tried while at the event. I then found their meadery and have visited multiple times trying many different flavors and all have been phenomenal. I've never had a bad experience. My favorite meads are the butterbee and From the Ashes but the original recipe with cocoa nibs, vanilla and chipotle. I wish they would make that recipe again because it was shockingly good. I hope I can visit again soon.

I'm not much of a drinker, but when I do drink I tend to go for the sweeter drinks. Never tried mead until I came here but if you like very sweet alcoholic drinks then you should try this place. One thing I really like about the mead here is you can really pick up the flavors in the aroma of the mead. They have a variety of flavors to try and a lot of them are good. They even have a couple of ciders here, and I may like those even more than the mead. There's another mead place nearby and I think this one blows it out of the water. If you had to choose between the two, come here.

Discovered Batch Mead through other local businesses on Instagram so thought we would give it a try. I ordered a couple of bottles for my Birthday/Thanksgiving. We opted to pick it up during their tasting hours. When we got there, we were stopped by someone in a waiting room and asked to stay put because they were filming a commercial. After 10-15 minutes they wrapped it up and we were able to come into the main room of the meadery. It's pr nice and open. I noticed not everyone was wearing masks as they were part of the film crew and were at the bar, which is their prerogative, we had our masks on. They gathered our order and they let us know they didn't have the label for one of their new strawberry rhubarb pie meads. We were fine without a label. It's what's on the inside of the bottle that counted. The Strawberry Shortcake Mead was nice. It has a very light and bright flavor. And it's pretty cool that they source their strawberries from a strawberry farm that we've picked strawberries at during the summer. The Strawberry Rhubarb was much more acidic for me than I'm the Strawberry Shortcake. It was a nice contrast in flavor and intensity. We haven't cracked open the Boysenberry Pie Mead yet. Maybe for Christmas. Would like to drop in for a flight sometime. Looks like a fun atmosphere.

Batch Mead is now one of our all-time favorite places to go in Temecula! We had gone to Corbeaux Wine & Tea House (would highly recommend as well!) last year and ordered the lavender mead on a whim. We loved it so much that we ended up purchasing a bottle to go at the restaurant and decided that we wanted to go to the actual meadery the next time we were in town. We visited Batch Mead yesterday, and were blown away by how delicious the mead was - we were so impressed that we signed up for a Hive Club membership on the spot! The staff are extremely knowledgeable and friendly, and the tasting room itself is really cute and stocked with lots of board games. We plan on bringing some friends the next time we're in the area, and are looking forward to our next visit!

Super tasty -- the menu was limited which I liked but had enough variety that I appreciated the prepicked flights or you can choose your own if you have any preferences. Front of house staff was friendly and accommodating for a last minute single visitor Bar stools could be comfier otherwise love the decor and aesthetic

Batch Mead is always a highlight of our day's adventures anytime we get to come spend time with the exceptionally kind and friendly owners and staff here. Their creativity and passion shines through in all their meads and ciders and it is always a pleasure to get to chat with anyone who is working that day. They also single handedly made quarantine infinitely more enjoyable by offering home delivery of their liquid magic!!!! If you're in the area, don't hesitate to stop by, have a flight, glass or take home a bottle. You won't be disappointed!!!

I finally came here. The place is super awesome & the employees are extremely nice too. I enjoyed the meads here because they're all delicious & each mead is unique in there own way. Their most unique mead has to be the cucumber mojito mead. Also, the vibe is super relaxing & I'm definitely coming back here.

This is thee best. Not only are the owners absolutely amazing, but the Mead is something else! This is my number one request when I go to a dinner party, "bring a bottle of that Mead..." They always have great packages available on their website & the meadery itself is always hosting something exciting and fun! The next time you're out and about alive temecula, stop here. Something different? Definitely. Something good? It's wonderful. The menu provides a bit tart to the sweet. A for sure unique experience as mead makers are not found in every city. Meadtenders are knowledgeable and can make great recommendations.

So I was drawn to this mead on their Facebook advertising. The thought of a butterscotch and vanilla mead sounded great. My bottles arrived and first thing I noticed was how dirty the bottles were. They were covered in dust and debris. After cleaning them off a bit I noticed the portions where different in each bottle. I can under stand this happening I guess if they are hand outing the bottles. But for the price I'd hope to get consistent portions. Onto the mead. I've been exploring mead a lot lately and have been really enjoying the trip. I was very excited to try this flavor profile in the butter beer. The smell is... well, not very pleasant. Not sure how to explain it but upon smelling it, you don't get that natural urge to drink it. This mead is VERY sweet. While drinking it, it's hard to find the nice clean mead flavor under all the flavor. Reminded me of the comparison between a nice whiskey vs fireball in term of how this and sugary fireball is. This is the only mead of theirs I have tried so I cant say much bad. I do know this is an odd flavor to go for but I guess I had different expectations. I probably won't order anymore of this flavor but might try out some of their other meads if I can find a good deal. Shipping was pricey. I will say that their customer service was great. I placed my order at the begin my of the week and by Saturday it still had not shipped. I live within the state and expected to get the shipment within the week and I was leaving out of town the following week. I reached out and they were very quick to respond and even texted me directly. I did appreciate that.

I normally love this place, it's one of my absolute favorites. The meads are amazing, the staff is wonderful, but an incident has me reconsidering my membership. I drove an hour out here to pick up my order of meads that I ordered a month ago to be sure that I would have it for my sister's Christmas gift tomorrow only to arrive to find that not only was my order erroneously marked fulfilled on a day I was no where near here and they weren't even open, but my bottles were then sold to someone else. Refund or not, this is absolutely unacceptable. That's two hours of driving and gas wasted, and a super special gift that I had looked forward to sharing with my mermaid obsessed sister lost because they can't keep their inventory in order. I am so upset I really don't know what to think right now.

We LOVE Batch! We have been coming here for the last year and a half and have never had a bad experience. We love all of the updates they continue to do, love how their employees treat the customers, and absolutely LOVE the mead. If you haven't been here you are MISSING OUT!!

I thoroughly enjoyed my first venture into tasting mead at Batch Mead! We were able to have two flights +2 extra tastes, and therefore we were able to taste everything on the menu! I highly recommend having a cheese board/charcuterie to cleanse your pallet between drinks. Of all of them I liked the painted orange best. The staff was super friendly. The atmosphere is lovely. This would make a great first date, any date, group gathering, or just spontaneous stop!!

Love this place! I love that you have the option of choosing from both meads and ciders when building your flight. And the portion poured in the flight is generous for such a low price. Love the dog friendly, relaxed atmosphere here. They have board & card games available as well as some cute instagramable photo ops! I wanted to buy all of the cute hats and Tees and had to buy a few bottles to bring home! I also actually like that it's not located in the congested old town area of Temecula.
