"Recognized on the Bib Gourmand list, this spot is highlighted for great food at great prices." - H. Drew Blackburn

"In a town full of great tacos, these Mexico City–style bites rank among Austin’s best." - H. Drew Blackburn
"Cuantos Tacos specializes in Mexico City-style tacos, consisting of a double layer of tiny corn tortillas filled with a few different meat options (plus a mushroom one). Ask five friends what their favorite is and you’ll end up with five different answers, but the suadero and cachete are our favorites, along with the weekly lengua special. The tacos are small enough that you can try them all if you’re up for it. Just ask them for one of each then get ready to enjoy an excellent taco sampler platter. And as much as we love the corn tortillas they use here, it’s worth trying a quesadilla on flour as well—the champinoñes do a great job of balancing out all the cheese. What To Get: Suadero taco; Cachete taco; Champiñones quesadilla" - nicolai mccrary, raphael brion
"Cuantos Tacos is worth visiting no matter where you’re going, but it’s especially great before heading to Moody because you can fill up on excellent Mexico City-style street tacos for about $10. These aren’t just the best tacos you can get nearby—they’re some of the best in the whole city. 20 minutes on foot, 4 minutes by car Suadero taco, champiñones quesadilla, frijoles especiales" - nicolai mccrary

You’ll find Cuantos in the Arbor Food Park on East 12th, in a large, BYOB park full of picnic tables, so grab a six pack from Quickie Pickie right down the street before you grab some tacos." - nicolai mccrary, adele hazan, raphael brion
