Experimental cocktails, wine, and unique bar snacks like frog legs

"Experimental Cocktail Club’s original location in the Lower East Side closed in 2016. But lucky for us, it found a new home on 24th Street last summer beneath the wine bar La Compagnie, with help from lauded designer Dorothée Meilichzon. It serves some incredible bar snacks, like gougeres au poivre made with Bordier butter, or frog leg wings rubbed in garlic and parsley and dipped in creme fraiche. Look for the Filipino Flip special by Nathalie Durrieu, the bar director. The drink has Zacapa No. 23 Rum alongside green curry and nutmeg, a complex cocktail sure to excite your palette." - Lee Musho

"The Paris-born bar has returned to New York beneath La Compagnie Flatiron with Nathalie Durrieu as head bartender and culinary contributions from chef Eric Bolyard, bringing its intimate, late-night cocktail club format back to the city." - Melissa McCart
"I report that Experimental Cocktail Club, which originally started in Paris in 2007 and expanded to London and Venice before closing its New York outpost in 2016, is back in New York opening beneath La Compagnie Flatiron at 6 W. 24th Street at Fifth Avenue, with Nathalie Durrieu as head bartender and chef Eric Bolyard involved." - Melissa McCart
