I was craving steamed rice rolls and saw this place had them, so I decided to give it a try. Came in on a Monday afternoon and was surprised by how busy it was. Luckily, there were still a few open tables, so we got seated right away. The menus came out quickly, but it took about 15 minutes before anyone stopped by our table. When someone finally came, he only asked about drinks, even though we were ready to order. After dropping off our waters, he left again in a rush, and it was another few minutes before a different server came to take our food order.
We ordered the cheese wontons, beef chow fun, rice clay pot, beef rice rolls with egg, and shrimp rice rolls with bean sprouts. The cheese wontons were okay but way too hard. The wrapper was thick and crunchy instead of light and crispy. The beef chow fun had big pieces of beef, but the noodles lacked flavor and sauce. My husband enjoyed his clay pot and beef rice roll, but before I started eating my shrimp rice roll, I found a small piece of paper stuck in it, which was disappointing. The flavor was decent, but finding that really threw me off.
Once all our food arrived, no one came to check on us at all. We had to flag down a server just to get the check after we finished eating. Overall, the food was just okay and the service needs serious improvement. With so many better Chinese spots around, I probably wouldn't come back to dine in here.
