Finally made it back to one of my favorite Mexican spots in Boulder! Everything was wonderful as always, and the server Cassie was lovely. The drinks were delicious and the food was awesome! I’ll always keep coming back because the vibes are amazing and the food never disappoints. 10/10 Highly recommend.

Well, it is, unfortunately, time to drop another harsh criticism of one of my preferred Mexican restaurants in Boulder. I guess the FOH PM staff were having a good time, tonight. They seemed to be socializing a fair bit behind the bar and enjoying the presence of some moderately drunk and rowdy friends AT the bar... while NOT preparing the drinks we ordered. The food was excellent, as usual. I think the BOH staff deserve a larger cut of the tips when the FOH staff spend their time screwing around and not focusing on their customers.

Great service and artistanal tacos. Guacamole and chip with six choices of salsa should not be missed.

Recently came here with my partner after a lackluster experience to a different Mexican spot nearby. We enjoyed sitting outside amongst the flowers and found the staff to be welcoming and attentive. We each ordered a margarita and found them to be tasty and refreshing. The queso and chips were a delicious and delivered quickly. I opted for the tortilla soup which was flavorful and filing. My partner tried a bite (he’s not a soup person) and he was so excited about it he said he’d get it for himself next time. My partner also enjoyed his tacos, rice and beans. 10 out of 10. We will definitely be back again soon as we’d love it try their happy hour.

Food was delicious, I got the braised pork shoulder tacos and I was honestly thinking the combinations were weird but it was really delicious, I love seeing a place with unique ideas and a creative menu. Staff was friendly, I could tell everyone kinda worked together to get stuff done. The restraunt space was clean and comfortable, it is a little loud but thats unfortunately just how it is in smaller spaces.

Amazing quality food and service. Some of my family is vegan and they were extremely accommodating and attentive. Patio was dog friendly and covered in beautiful plants, felt like a little oasis. I had the short rib enchiladas and the ceviche, both were great.

I’ve had lunch here twice and both times the food has been exceptional. Every bite is full of flavor and there are a lot of options. Highly recommend!

Return visit June 2025 .. tacos here so good!! Love sitting at the bar, catching up on local gossip, while devouring delicious freshly prepared tacos! Friendly team, too.

I rarely write reviews, and unfortunately when I do, it's usually because something was negative. However, I was so impressed by an experience I had here last night that I felt compelled to share it. A guy at the bar--who had been there a while and had not expressed any displeasure with the service--refused to leave a tip. Not only that, he was very vocal about why he didn't tip, making sure everyone in the joint heard his complaint. He went on about having to wait 47 minutes for this and 19 minutes for that--numbers that I knew were false (yet oddly specific). It was worse than him being just a "Karen," though; intentionally or not, his rant came off as a personal attack on the bartender. For example, at one point he said something to the effect of, "Tips aren't given, they are earned," as if not stiffing her would be some kind of charity. It was obvious to everyone there that she would have been totally justified in telling the guy off, but she just let it roll off her back with a simple, "Thank you for your feedback," and a smile. Note that this is not some corporate establishment where one is required to take that kind of abuse, which made her professionalism all the more impressive. After he (thankfully) left, she continued to be efficient and cheerful (I would have been steaming), which definitely helped improve the atmosphere that had been darkened by this guy. The bartender was a total professional throughout, who obviously takes pride in what she does, which is consistent with what I've seen from everyone who works here.

Friendly, fast, efficient service at the bar for enjoying a variety of tasty happy hour snacks and drinks that keep me busy from 3:30-6:00. Officially happy hour is from 4:30-6:00 but they graciously began being happy an hour earlier for me. Well deserved #1 rated for HH in Boulder. They have MUSIC!

By far the best taqueria in Boulder, the restaurant is very clean and our waitress Vivian was great. She was very polite and helpful recommending the most popular items on the menu. I order 3 tacos , carnitas , short rib in adobo sauce and Fish. All very good and well served

Food was amazing! Fresh and delicious with large portions. Tacos were so good. And the spicy margarita was perfect. Service was friendly and laid back. Great place. Highly recommend

I like this place ...the location tacos the personality of the bartenders. I discovered a new tequila here and then I'm going to try and get it back in Michigan. Next time I visit my sister in Boulder we're coming here again. The yucca fries were shockingly good.

Decided to stop by for happy hour about a month ago after reading the reviews. We must've gotten to the restaurant right in the nick of time, because once we were seated and started ordering our food, the restaurant started getting busy for happy hour. The first round of ordering we got the beer, shot, and enchilada deal, a few tacos, and an enchilada. Second round of ordering was quite similar, only less tacos. If you're not a huge fan of tequila, you can opt for a different liquor for the shot--I stuck with tequila, but it was nice of our waiter to let us know we could choose something different for the second shot. The food tasted good, but the portions were on the smaller side. Not sure if this is just for happy hour, but it was a bit disappointing since there are other restaurants that don't cut back the portions just because you're ordering from the happy hour menu. For happy hour, the total price wasn't bad, but it wasn't much of a savings either. Overall, we had a good experience though. I'd consider returning.

Our server was amazing! Great food especially after a long hike, and a beautiful view of the mountains from inside! Definitely reccomend if you're in the area!

I have been here with my daughter so many times, and the tacos are always so good. We had the avocado and a fish taco with rice and beans. Superb as always, thank you. See you next time

My food was way oversalted, but I was so hungry I ate the 2 carnitas tacos. The only memorable flavor was salt. I expressed my displeasure about the salt to the server, but no adjustment was offered. No, I wouldn't recommend.

Everything is fresh, flavorful and delicious! My Husband loves the corn and avocado salad, with steak, and I love the Baja Fish tacos. Definitely get the chips + salsa trio, and let your server pick the salsa. Very laid back environment.

Very good tacos, drinks and service. We stopped in for dinner on Cinco de Mayo. My tacos were very good. I preferred the carnitas taco. I think next time I'd skip the fish, and go with the short rib. We all got drinks. They were all really good. I'd like to come back while on our trip.

I always find myself here when we visit. The tacos are great and the sauces. I recommend adding nopales and get a side of beans.

Of all of the many taco joints in Boulder, I like Mojo the best. GREAT tacos (and an amazing kale salad!), fabulous coin margs, awesome happy hour - get the 3 Amigos. Love it!

Tried this place for happy hour and it was tasty, but definitely not a bargain as the tacos are very small and the portion size for the enchiladas was child-sized. We ordered multiple orders to fill up and would possibly come back to try a regular meal. but overall we didn't care for the ambiance. The room carries all of the voices from the bar area and there were several very loud groups there enjoying themselves but it made our conversation difficult and we were there early for happy hour. Glad that we tried it and since we live close by we may return, but for overall enjoyment of food and venue we still prefer Efrains.

Meat eaters and vegetarians can eat here with equal pleasure! Great ambience, a varied menu and really good service round out this taco place as a must try.

We went here as a party of 8 and every one of us enjoyed our meal. The service was good also. We tried about 6 different salsas and every one was tasty. As a vegetarian, I really appreciated the variety of vegetarian menu items and sampled the sweet potato and poblano along with the buffalo cauliflower. Yum to all. My son loved the short rib tacos too. We'll definitely visit again next time we're in Boulder.

I've never had something I didn't like here. The green chile, tacos and elotes are sooo good. The inside is cute and cozy, and food is always out fast. Servers are always super sweet and helpful even when clearly busy/short staffed. 10/10

Went on a -15 degree night. Fantastic food and drink. Great service from Cass (I'm pretty sure that was our server's name). Everything was fresh tasting and diverse flavors and yumminess.

Food is good and happy hour is great! A few more vegetarian taco options would be welcome as I only had one choice.

Visiting from Texas and absolutely in love with this place. We did a small taco tour of Boulder and were underwhelmed, but everything we've tried here is 5 star. I'll be dreaming about the tacos for months. Our favorites in order: 1. Braised short rib 2. Arrachera 3. Carnitas 4. Gobernador 5. Chicken tinga Mango habanero and tomatillo chipotle salsas were amazing. Reposado marg is lovely. You can't go wrong here.

Food is DELICIOUS. I get the chicken enchiladas with christmas sauce every time I go because there is nowhere else in Boulder with such flavorful enchiladas. Service is always great no matter how busy they are. The general ambiance of the space is welcoming and clean.

Tacos were superb but what made the experience even better was the service. I was traveling with a coworker with severe food allergies - the staff was so open and honest about their ability to keep her safe. It was amazing. The owner also had come in as the staff was talking about what they possibly could do to make safe food and with the owner's suggestion they were able to make safe enjoyable food. They truly went above and beyond which doesn't happen a lot of places.

I was disappointed by the tacos. The beef is dry, and lacks flavor. The tortillas are dry and have an unpleasant texture. The sauces that are used are overpowering and have far too much citrus. There doesn't seem to be any semblance of a consistent flavor profile to this cooking.

Food was fine. Service was disappointing. Gave us a kids menu but no crayons. Saw at least 8 servers walking around the not-full restaurant yet we couldn't get anyone's attention for a drink refresh. Water was never refilled and our waiter simply didn't bus our table. At some point the number of dishes on our table was unsustainable; we stacked them as best we could but after waiting several more minutes we had to take them to the back ourselves. Wouldn't recommend.

The best service and queso we had in Colorado. Bonus points for the wide variety of tacos available. And don't miss out on the happy hour prices.

Waited nearly 30 min just to get a drink order while sitting inside 4pm Saturday. Cocktails and salsa were excellent but tacos were not worth the wait. More traditional flavors were ok but fusion options were lacking. Felt very profiled as those who were sat after us got better service based on assumed income (clothing labels/age). The affluent wear Kirkland signature too! Would rather go to taco truck or more "blue collar" establishment and make homemade top shelf cocktails than this gentrified spot.

Mojo has great tacos. We went the other day as it's a relatively new business and loved it. We didn't get a chance to try the churro's for desert but will definitely come back so we can give it a try. They accidentally mixed up our reservation and didn't get the right number of people so they didn't have a table our size, and so as an apology gave us free street corn and made sure to take great care of us. Would definitely come back soon and bring friends. The food is great, but they were out of taquitos, so I'll have to come back and try them as they seem to be super popular. They do have an outdoor area you can eat on. The parking is great and there is tons of room, and the restaurant is an OK size so you probably don't have to wait too long in line. Make sure to try the fried shrimp tacos as they are some of the best things we tried on the menu. They also have great drinks. Update: already came back and tried the churros. They were great!

Great authentic Mexican food and great service.the outside patio was very nice. The special menu was yummy.

Mojo is our go to Mexican place. The margarita is exactly as we like it: just lime, agave, and tequila (or mezcal). I think they call it the coin margarita. I used to get different tacos, but now I always order the same thing- guacamole to start (super fresh) and 2 short rib tacos (plenty of protein in each taco+ crunchy fried onions). My husband always gets the short rib burrito. The red sauce, that comes with it, is heaven- perfect amount of smoky and spicy. I've tried the fried avocado taco- it was pretty good. Avocado & corn salad- was just ok. I've tried to order some of the fish tacos, but the servers never know what kind of fish is in there. Maybe I have too much high hopes for getting good fish in Colorado. Anyway! We will keep going and ordering what we know is good. Thank you

What a fun place to get some tacos! The food is served hot & fresh and the staff is always friendly. The salsas are amazing with a wide variety of tacos! Reasonable priced also!

Its nice and clean but the food is mediocre. If you want real authentic food go elsewhere.

We've been here a few times now. Coin margs are better than most, and they have a nice selection of tequilas if you're wanting to explore. Tacos: the vegetarian ones are pretty great - like a real vegetarian thought about how to make a super good veggie taco. I usually get a trio of tacos with two meat and a veggie and the veggie is always the best of the three. Inventive ingredients that have been cooked so that the tortilla doesn't get soggy. My boyfriend likes the enchiladas. He got the hotdog once and liked it, but decided it was weird to get a hotdog at a Mexican place. Suggestion for the restaurant would be to work on the lighting. The food is great but the lighting seems weird in there. If it were lit more warmly the place would seem fancier and more inviting.

Absolutely scrumptious tacos, splendid guacamole and freshly made chips to go along with the guac. Wait staff were friendly and knew exactly what to recommend. Would recommend 100%!

I've been here a couple of times. The location is good and has plenty of parking by Boulder standards. The tacos are generous and the burritos are enormous. More important than size is the deliciousness level is high, here. The food is delicious. We were seated immediately and our waited, despite forgetting a few things (still waiting for our guacamole, dude) did a good job on a busy night. I'll visit whenever I am in town.

Just great. Similar prices to popular and trendy taco places on Pearl Street, but much further reaching when it comes to flavor, variety, service and attention. Be sure to try the elote, short rib taco, and the fried ice cream dessert. Food is fantastic. Servers are unbeatable.

We have been here several times before the pandemic as well as Lyons but as this pandemic continues to linger are visits have been fewer and fewer we visited just after the Vaccines were released late spring 2021 then again last Oct so last night we decided to order togo and the flavor and passion we once cherished has disappeared and I'm not just referring to last night but since the pandemic started. Sorry but we will start looking for another new favorite Good Luck

So I been coming here for years with my family. For a longtime this place was one of my favorites but the last few months this place has fallen off a cliff. The last two times I was in there I didn't get acknowledged for about 15 minutes at least; I know the second time it took them 20 minutes to finally come over (looked at my phone) and ask if I was ready to order, but they didn't even give me a menu to order. It wasn't busy at all either maybe they just don't like that I don't order alcohol? The food here is great but the service has been so bad ever since one of the managers moved on, and some of the solid waitresses moved on as well. Its like a bunch of teens running a restaurant, and if they are treating myself and my family this way (who are regulars) god knows what kind of service others are getting. Anyways I don't think ill be going back sucks to lose this place cause we live right down the way but I rather go somewhere where the staff treat me with respect and acknowledge my presence. Also they got rid of the happy hour tacos everything has been raised price wise...

First time at Mojo's on a Monday eve. The place was busy, but not totally packed and after waiting a few minutes, we were seated outside. We ordered chips/guac/salsa and it was great. The mild green salsa is delicious. We then ordered two tacos each - five different between the three of us. Fish, fried avocado, buffalo cauliflower, Korean short rib and carnitas. All were delicious. Service was friendly if not super snappy. A slight bit too casual - "oh, hey, what's up?" kind of a thing. That's a bit nit picky, to be sure. We will definitely be back! Thanks.

I like Mojo's! I always get very friendly service. So glad Max is holding down the bar! There's also some new faves- John, Devon, and a brand new gal- I think she's Julie (maybe). The food is actually better than it was pre-Covid. So if you didn't like it before, give them another try. The torta is kind of a hidden gem- totally recommend. If you are in the mood to chat- sit at the bar- patrons are friendly. Check out Happy Hour!

We just finished eating here and I feel like I've died and gone to heaven. The elote was incredible and the short rib burrito was delicious. I'd post pictures but I got too excited and started eating - maybe next time! The hostess gave us an accurate wait time and our waitress was super charming, even giving some feedback about menu choices. We will absolutely be back. PS - as per usual before writing my review I took a curious spin through the low ratings and I have to wonder where those people were eating for $13-15 a plate and getting more food. While I agree I've been to less expensive establishments, the quality of meats, salsas, cheeses (Oaxaca and asadero!) and the obvious care in preparation makes this well worth it - and I'm stuffed.

Off my list. First off happy hour ends too early - 5:30. Secondly, it's the standard practice for Mexican restaurants to give you chips and salsa to snack on while you wait to place and receive your order. Not so here - cost you $4.00. Thirdly - asked for salt on the rim of our margaritas. Didn't get any. Also very stingy portions.

We had one good dish and three different bad burritos. The torts was quite good, but all three burritos were filled 80% with rice! Not acceptable. I would be tempted to order a burrito with no rice and see what happens. I know costs have gone up, but you really can't serve a rice burrito! Come on....

Maybe we've been here too often (approx. 3x year)...but this last visit I felt distinctly underwhelmed by the food for what the prices were. We go out pretty infrequently in general, and I think this leads me to be pickier about the restaurant experience. When they initially opened up their doors for business, we were enthusiastic about the food and ambiance. A few years later feels like it needs a hard reset.

Great food, service and everything down to people music and even the chairs. I eat at Lyons often and I love this restaurant just as much. I would definitely recommend whether you live in Lyons or are just stopping by.

First time here. Great ambiance, outdoor seating, excellent menu. Everything we got was delicious! But the elotes was TO DIE FOR!

Very good so far. Went twice and each time had the vegetarian burrito with a very good smothered sauce. This place has good value, the food is tasty and you are not overcharged. Only the chips with salsa and guacamole are somewhat expensive with $10 (portion not being that big), but a burrito for $10.50 is well priced. Also had fish taco's which were very good as well. I highly recommend checking this place out. At this point it is my choice over Murphy's across the parking lot, where I have gone for many years. It is also MUCH better than Tangerine next door which also does lunch, but they don't even have avocado's, only some poorly made guacamole attempt (good for breakfast though, they have Gouda for omelettes).
