I loved this hotel (first time staying with them, and first time in Monaco).
I have to say, for those who have never been: it is about 2.2 km from the most touristic areas around Casino de Monte Carlo and Cafe Paris, right across the street from Hotel Paris. But that to my husband and I was the best part! It was quiet, and a perfect place to relax. You can easily spend 2 or 3 days just within the resort's pools, restaurants, and spa. But if what you're looking for is proximity to the luxury shops, you'll need either a cab, which the hotel can arrange for you, or you can take the bus. Line 5 has a stop right outside the hotel, it was 2 euros per person for the one-way ticket, air conditioned bus with plenty of seats at that stop. It filled out as it stopped along the town, but nothing concerning.
I love this hotel wholeheartedly, and would stay here again if/when I come back.
