Super Taco

This was phenomenal food.. the service was great. Highly recommend this place. The tables and seating were this really cool design. The remodels and open floors have made this such a better place. And the food is so authentic

Had an incredible experience at Super Taco tonight. Ordered the molcajete with shrimp, chicken, steak, and a sliced avocado shaped like a rose — easily one of the best-presented dishes I’ve seen in Lincoln. The flavor matched the look: rich, fresh, perfectly seasoned. Also had chips and queso that came out warm and crisp. Jerry, the owner, was personable and attentive the entire time. You can tell this place is run with pride and real hospitality. Enjoyed two Modelos while we ate and ended up staying longer than expected because the vibe was just right. Super Taco deserves support — great food, great people, and an atmosphere worth coming back for. Highly recommend.

The service was great. I had Menudo and it was fantastic! The restaurant is clean and has plenty of tables! I’ve also had Ceviche in the past, that was superb! Many great options at this spot! Highly recommend it! I will say tho that it’s a couple of dollars pricier than some other local restaurants.

Food was amazing. Prices comparable to Mazatlan and Hacienda without the ambience 3.95 % discount for cash. With average entree at $17 even with the cash discount its on the upper end of price for a walk in diner. Chips and salsa are a la carte at $7.95 (disappointing). Margaritas start at 8.99 for house and 9.75 for flavored with house tequila. Liqour added was adequate. Staff was friendly and food was ample and tasty. Lost stars for chips and salsa being a la carte and higher prices for a diner style restaurant.

Exterior gas station corner strip mall belies the tasteful, clean, and newly remodeled interior. Food is excellent and the owner & staff efficient, gracious, and attentive. We have enjoyed eating here since it opened and even moreso now with the beautiful wall murals. If you ask the owner he will tell you the source for each of the murals painted by his family.

Loved their service, clean atmosphere.You just gotta be careful, cuz.You will not want to stop eating their food.It is so good.Great customer service friendly.Their salsa. I have not found any salsa like this.Except for in omaha at the mexican market now., I found some that. I actually like here in town.In lincoln.

This restaurant is so good!! I used to drive by and didn't give it a second thought. Now I live further away and I wish I hadn't taken for granted how close it was to home. The staff is friendly and the restaurant is well kept. I haven't had anything yet that I didn't enjoy. I usually get my orders takeout and they're quick but not so quick that the food has been waiting around. If you're thinking about trying Super Taco, don't wait forever like I did.

Oh WOW! It's been about 6 months since we ate super taco..no reason we've just been busy. So I took my son out to have some lunch...we were blown away how delicious this was. My son said it was the best chimichanga he's ever had, I had the barria tacos and WOW 🔥 SO GOOD! Fresh, fast ,perfect amount for the price. CLEAN RESTAURANT, friendly staff. Very very happy! Thank you SUPER TACO 🌮 😘

Delicious food and awesome kids chicken nuggets. Updated the restaurant and lots more room now. Enjoyed our time there.

This was very solid, although I was expecting more based on the reviews. I know I'm lucky to have many great taco options near my home, which naturally colors what I expect in other cities. We often seek out tacos when we are traveling. Paying for chips and salsa was definitely worth it. Both were a step above what you might expect. Two combo platters = tons of food. Friendly service. Saw lots of people stop in for take out orders on a Wednesday night, so obviously this place is loved.

We always seem to hit up Super Taco when we're in town! And for good reason, the food and drinks hit the spot. A few big tables for big groups and a menu that has something for everyone. I'm a sucker for tacos and the birria was enough to share! Great food, cool vibes, see ya there!

5/5 stars - well deserved. I was starving and this was the perfect place. The staff was very friendly and the food was out quickly. I highly enjoyed the white queso dip! The best birria I have ever had in Lincoln, and the supreme torta deserved its name! I already want to go back!!

It had been too long since I'd been to Super Taco. Brought a kid with a big appetite and enjoyed the always friendly service, and fantastically fresh dishes. I love that they show dishes up on the screens behind the counter, it inspires me to see what everything looks like and plan my pick for next time.

Super taco was SUPER good! We stopped in after dropping our dog off next door for lunch and this places lives up to the reviews. Two hot sauces on the table for your choosing (red and green). Red has a nice kick that takes awhile to hit but the green packs a punch as well. Of course I love hot sauces but also love their standard homemade salsa served with the chips, it was cilantro heavy and delicious. The birria was bomb and we also got the chicken enchiladas as well, they use the wonderful quesa Fresca cheese on top. Lunch on a Saturday was packed and you could tell some were the regular crowd. No frills inside but they don't need it--has everything you need for a great local owned lunch stop. We will be back to explore the Menu more!

Best tacos ever! Years ago we lived next-door to a Mexican family. These tacos are as good as the tacos that Lupie used to make. Absolutely awesome.

A group of four arrived for a late dinner on Saturday. Super friendly welcome and quick drink orders as well as helpful menu recommendations. We all really enjoyed our meals. Great find!

Wow, this is legitimately the best, most authentic in Lincoln. I forgot what I ordered, seriously pointed to a picture on the menu. But that shrimp cream sauce on the steak is a must try.

I have eaten here multiple times in the last 6 years, and they never disappoint me. I recommend getting "Alambre" or a "Quesadilla con carne al pastor". As a Mexican, I can say the food is delicious and authentic. Also, Rogelio, the owner has done a great job sharing his Mexican roots through his restaurant and its food.

Went here once a long while back and recall that we liked it, but since it wasn't really on our usual routes, we kinda forgot about it. Recently I took a job not too far from it and rediscovered it. The people are friendly. The food is tasty, authentic, and comes out fast. $8 for a pretty good sized burrito (and they don't skimp on the proteins like some places). Lots to choose from, and though some seems a bit pricier than you might be used to for what it is, it still seems a fair value. Highly recommend!

Today, I finally got to have Super Taco. My friends and me were hungry after a bike ride and decided on here and it was maybe the best food I've had during my time in Lincoln. My friends got a burrito, a torta campesina and two tacos al pastor and I got a torta suprema and two tacos al pastor. The tacos al pastor were perfect, they had grilled pineapple and onions along with the pork and they were amazing. The torta brought back so many memories of being in middle school and having dinner at my friend's house. It was soft and crispy and tasty and fresh, everything you could ever ask for in a torta. I would absolutely recommend Super Taco to anyone who is scrolling through here to get something delicious, they might have the best tortas and tacos in all of Lincoln.

Are here for the first time in many years and it was delicious. Chili releno platter was fantastic. Rice and beans were really good and the chili releno was stuffed with cheese and meat. Friendly staff who seemed genuinely pleased that we were there. Definitely will be going back!

Situated in a strip mall, you probably drive by this place regularly and don't even know it's there. What a gem. The folks that run this place are some of the hardest working in the restaurant industry. They're always incredibly kind and friendly. I have yet to have a bad bite and I don't anticipate that changing. The Molcajete Rey is a sure fire winner, the queso is that thin blanco goodness you want to cover everything in, and the green salsa pork burrito will leave you fat and happy. Wash it all down with a patron margarita (they even offer them to-go). Service is fast and damn good to boot.

You could probably consider this place to be a fast food restaurant, I've had McDonalds drive thrus take longer to get us our food. We were in and out in less than 30 minutes. The birria was fantastic, and the prices were decent considering recent inflation. The manager stopped by the table a few times as we ate to ask how we were doing, he was out working alongside his employees and they all had great service. The horchata was a little watered down, but if that's my biggest complaint, this place is doing great. Would definitely recommend

Tacos and Salsa are delicious however the Torta was a little questionable for our liking and the handling of the issue we had was not acceptable I don't know that we'd eat here again because when I have an issue, I don't want to be told that is "how it is here". When I show the manager that my Torta is missing eggs and they just tell me it's mixed in and hard to just see. I pulled it apart in front of them and there was no eggs and they told me I'm wrong it's there. It wasn't.

I'm from Texas and my parents are from Mexico so I'm very particular about my Mexican food. Had a craving for pozole so went in on the weekend because that's the only time they serve it. I must say, it was pretty good. Even came with tostadas and some extra oregano just in case. My only issue is that the prices aren't displayed on the menu (or at least I didn't see them), so it's a shot in the dark as to how much it costs. The pozole and a glass of agua de jamaica (which was also good) came out to $19 -- might've ordered something different if I had known how much it was. Soy de Texas y mis padres son de México, así que soy muy particular cuando se trata de la comida mexicana. Se me antojó un plato de pozole y entonces fui a Súper Taco porque sirven pozole en los findes. El pozole estuvo bien rico y también me dieron tostadas y orégano al lado para echarle más al pozole si quería. La única cosa que no me gustó era que no tenían los precios en el menú (o quizás no los vi), así que no sabes cuanto va a costar tu comida hasta que pagues. Me cobraron $19 por el pozole y un vaso de agua de jamaica (que también sabía bien rico) -- hubiera pedido algo diferente si hubiera sabido cuanto iba a costar.

Best food every time. Never disappoints!!! I've been going since my college days. 7 years later still a fan.

Nothing great here just generic typical non Mexican food, loaded with sour cream, lettuce and cheese, tortillas are pre packed not fresh. If your a Taco Bell kind of person you might like this place.

On my through Lincoln and I grabbed my mom for lunch. Found this little gem tucked in a small storefront strip. My mom ordered the taco salad and I had a chicken quesadilla. We also ordered a side of chips/salsa and guacamole (the guacamole and salsa was outstanding!) The food was fantastic, portions are big and food was fresh. Service was friendly. A great little stop!

This is definitely my new favorite burrito stop in the USA. Thanks to Yelp's filter you can narrow your choices to the type of cuisine, value, and customer rating and voila you end up with some amazing places to eat like Super Taco. Remember the words "Green Burrito" and then place your order and enjoy. You can thank me later! Warning, this establishment has good management that produces very consistent quality, and a dish that will give you withdrawal cravings. Don't let the strip mall location with modest furnishings turn you away because the restaurant and bathrooms are clean and the food is authentic and made with a lot of love. Be prepared to pay for your meal at the cash register when your finished. Nothing fru fru here, just great food. I have only two problems with Super Taco. How will I ever allow myself to try other items on the menu? When can Omaha expect to have a new Super Taco restaurant in the neighborhood?

Super Taco, has so many super items. This placed is tucked away next to a Shell station. Dare I say it, this might be the most authentic Mexican eatery in town. It's the little differences. A lotta the same stuff they got here, they got elsewhere, but here they're a little different. Ok, maybe a lot different. Examples. On the weekends, they offer both menudo and pozole. You find another place that does that, you and me we'll talk. The Tlacoyo, never seen it before, never eaten it before. I had to ask my parents what it was. Just another pre-Hispanic dish. Lived in California 25 years, never heard of it. Not too spicy, but very flavorful. Love the texture. The Alambre, a big, hearty plate of seasoned grilled meat and vegetables topped with melted cheese. Half a dozen variations, comes with tortillas. I had the Zarape with cactus, cacti - nopales. Come eat cactus, don't worry they take the prickly parts out. Jam packed with flavor, with a moderate spice level. Horchata or a side of sour cream might be needed. It's special to see the regionality of a country's cuisine along with such variety. It's clean, moderately priced, open 7 days a week. It's just not a starship like Hacienda Real or Mazatlan. But anything you crave in space, and ambiance will be made up for in the food. Do it.

My life will never be the same after eating here. I will forever more crave Super Taco. It was by far the best Mexican food I've ever had in my life. It's family-owned, and they are all incredibly friendly. I ordered a pile of meat (ham, bacon, etc.) and cheese that I loaded into shells to devour. (I could pick between corn or flour shells, and I went with corn.) It was the most delicious food we found in all of Lincoln during our stay. Others in my party ordered the tacos, taco salad, and a torta, which was like a fancy sandwich-type meal. Would I drive five hours just to eat here again? You bet I would!!

Great food and a perfect small-business, hole-in-the-wall place for which I use Yelp consistently to find when I'm traveling. The food was delicious and the staff did a great job with coronavirus mitigation techniques. I will say, the normal draw for a small authentic taco place is that it's usually cheaper than a corporate chain restaurant. Not the case this time...seemed pretty expensive for what we ordered. Just something to keep in mind if you come, which I recommend.

I had a dream about Super Taco the other night... probably caused me to drool a little on my pillow. Mmm, I'll have the Tacos Al Pastor... zzzzzzz. Food worth dreaming about, I surrendered myself to the taco bliss and let the friendly young lady who took our order pick out my lunch. Ended up with 2 chicken, 1 carne asada and 1 pork steak and pineapple masterpiece. Served with red and green hot sauce I couldn't get enough of, this was dining perfection. As I stuffed the last delicious morsels in my mouth I wondered out loud how many of these little beauties I could eat in a sitting. Four was definitely enough for a workday lunch, but even when we were done and comfortably full I still wanted more (which probably brought on the taco-inspired dream).

I have had great Mexican dishes from all over the world and tonight I was humbled by the incredible flavors and spices in this three trio plate of shrimp, carne asada steak and grilled chicken. Please do yourself a flavor and try his red sauce. You will want to move or retire to Lincoln just so you can come every night to feast at Super Taco!

Well...maybe I came at a time that was just too busy or something [they were packed], but we got tucked into the "overflow" part of the restaurant and were constantly forgotten. Forgot our waters, forgot to take our order (we had to go hunt her down), brought my food after a really long wait yet forgot my utensils...list goes on. I didnt try the tacos here which they are famous for...but eh, I'll continue to go to el ray. However, their menu is quite extensive and they serve specialties like menudo on weekends. I would like to go try that!

This place is a hidden gem. It looks like any other run-of-the-mill strip mall taco joint, but the fresh, quality food they produce is delish! They have a wide selection of foods but not too much to overwhelm the kitchen staff. Another surprise? They serve oysters on the half shell.

I'm from California and by far the best tacos I've had in Lincoln. I really like how they have Mexican candies too.

This reminds me of the authentic taco places in my home town. Huge portions of great food. There was too much to choose from, so naturally I'll be back a few times to try it all. I couldn't choose from the burrito or the Hawaiian tostada, our waitress couldn't help because she said they were both her faves too. With her descriptions, I went steak burrito. I was not disappointed. Massive, delicious, worth it. The only thing I'd do differently, I'd ask for no lettuce. For me, personal preference, it didn't add to the taste, seemed to detract. The rest of it, I could eat a few burritos in a row, they were that good. I can see why the reviews are glowing, it was fan-tas-tic.

Super disappointed - decent food, but they did not put sour cream or any kind of sauce with my enchiladas. Traditional enchiladas are cooked in a red or green sauce that moisten the tortillas. These have no sauce at all and are simply smothered in cheese. It came with some red/green salsa, but it does not taste the same. Instead of diced tomatoes, there is just one lone slice of tomato in the to-go container. I'm super confused as to why the restaurant serves its enchiladas this way. It looks really thrown together, and the burrito my partner ordered was pretty much the same. A tortilla filled with only chicken and guac, and smothered in cheese. Not worth the cost of food for the quality.

The food is amazing, and the service was good. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the north side of Lincoln.

This place is a hole in the wall and the best quality and cheap tacos! I take everyone I know here because it is so good. Service is quick, everyone is so friendly. My bf and I are obsessed with their tacos, Al pastor is our favorite. This is a hidden gem of best tacos in Lincoln!

Rule No. 1: Do not eat in restaurants in strip malls. Rule No. 2: Make an exception here. Ambience is less than overwhelming, but it's all good after that. Service was quick and friendly. Food also came quickly. Burrito with pork al pastor was excellent. Guacamole on top was scrumptious. The chile relleno was a large poblano stuffed with cheese and accompanied by rice and smooth, tasty refritos. Had choice of corn or flour tortillas. Definitely will come again if I have the chance.

Yaaasssss! I absolutely love these family owned, hole-in-the-wall gems! It's unsuspecting and next to a gas station...how awesome is that?! Their tacos are perfectly proportioned in the meat to tortilla ratio so that each bite you take is savory perfection! I recommend starting with at least four tacos and try the beef tongue taco....It's so good I had to order another one!

Not that I am a frequenter of Mexican restaurants in Lincoln, but I will put it out there that if you are looking for authentic, delicious, and reasonably-priced Mexican, Super Taco is possibly the most super choice. I went balls to the wall and ordered a beef taco, a chicken taco, both with lettuce and cheese, and a chorizo torta to round it out. The meats were juicy and seasoned well. My favorite part of the whole meal: they were NOT marinated with onions or peppers. I especially do not prefer onions so this was huge for me. Portions were plentiful and I literally made it out completely full for under $10. The ambience is nothing over thrilling but the food is what matters here. Also, whoever designed their mascot is pure genius. If that awesome Super Taco superhero does not lure you into this place, the food will. Muy sabroso!

I absolutely love this place. Best Mexican food in town. The servings are large but not too much and the flavors are full! Anywhere else I go I get the same thing I liked the last time because the next time I try something it isn't good... That's not AT ALL the case with Super Taco. Don't let the strip mall next to a gas station location fool you. This is the real deal! I am still trying new menu items every time I go in and I have yet to be disappointed! Try it! It's wonderful. Keep places like this alive in Lincoln!!
