Seattle’s 12 Best Farmers Markets to Discover This Fall | Eater

"The Friday-night crowd — or lack thereof — makes this one of the most decidedly low-key markets in the city. It also makes it particularly family-friendly, with a playground right on site and a dance floor for the live music that often fills up with twirling toddlers. But while there are fewer folks, the selection remains robust, with some of the city’s best strawberries from Schuh Farms, stone fruit from Collins Family Orchards, and endless peppers from Alvarez Farms. And the kid-approved dinner options include pizza and plenty of ice cream." - Vox Creative

I think it's great there's a Farmer's Market, yet it's so crowded, it's off-putting. I wish they'd have the event twice a week. The toddlers were overwhelmed, crying in their strollers. It wasn't a "calm, peaceful shopping experience". A lot of booths were "ready made" food, some came just for the smoothies, desserts. If there was more space, if the Farmer's Market was set up to be a length of booths, instead of a clump placed on an asphalt lot, it'd be a more pleasant experience. The tomatoes, cucumbers, were excellent. It was the crowded area that caused it to be a stressful experience.

It's cozy, features some amazing vendors, live music, and is nestled into a great neighborhood with plenty of dining options nearby. The PNA hosts the market in their parking lot, so there's always plenty of space for everyone. Highly recommend checking out Papa Tony's hot sauces when they're around!

Cute farmers market! Loved how there was easy to find parking and all the stalls were in one area. There weren't a lot of spots to hang out and sit, but the live music was a great touch.

I can't believe I've lived in the neighborhood for 17 years and just visited the farmers market for the first time today. Organic veggies, LOTS of strawberries (great prices per box), a French bakery, wine, ice cream, a falafel truck...ALL LOCAL. There was even live music! All of the vendors accept credit cards which was very convenient. There are two lots, upper is where the market is and lower has parking. I drove this time but will likely walk in the future as parking is limited and the general area is a little crazy traffic-wise. All-in-all, it was fantastic and I'm going to try to make a trip every week until it closes in September. Happy to support local growers and artisans and the Phinney Neighborhood.

One of my favorite things to do during summer is to get all fresh veggies and fruits from this farmers market every week. Also get to know local farmers and their family. It's a good feeling to know the person who grows the food you eat.

One of my favorite Puget Sound farmers markets! A great variety of vendors including tons of vegetables and fruit, lots of delicious hot food, alcohol, artisan condiments and ready to cook foods. This market has an awesome vibe, and lots of happy faces.

Used to love this little artsy maker. But visited in August 2014 and came home with a bag of lovely but majorly bruised fruit (hopefully it was just one vendor?). We did have a yummy dinner there, but not enough seats. We also brought home fabulous bread, so it was worthwhile overall. I may stick to other, better neighborhood markets though.
