Great Store Absolutely love the cheese of this store. The cheese in this store is creamy and soft. Not very salty. Raw cheese available. The store also has other imported or exclusive things like cold meat, crackers, pickles, canned fish and chocolate. As a reminder, it doesn't open on Sunday.

A superb and incredibly well stocked store. The staff were super friendly, knowledgeable, and very keen to help and advise. We tried some cheeses including Stinking Bishop, which was a bit too much for me I'll be honest, but left with some maida vale, a blue and another semi soft which I forget the name of. A must visit for any casual cheese appreciator when in the area. Great shop.

An excellent example of how well a small business can thrive when the staff and approachable and highly knowledgeable about their craft. Come here with an open mind, sample some interesting cheese and try something new. Also selling wines, olives, hot sauces and dried goods, it’s a great place to visit on a weekend to enliven your weekday meals ahead. Excited to go back again

This is now our favorite cheese shop in England! Every cheese in these shop is worth trying. You can see that quality is of utmost importance to the proprietors. Camilla was a fountain of information. Ask her anything regarding cheese produced by cow, sheep or goat. You will learn new things and you will eat amazing cheeses :))) If we lived in Cambridge, we would visit this shop every week. Scarlet was the person who helped us with our order. She had only been employed at the shop for three months and she described the different cheeses we asked about with grace and competence. This was another example of how this shop cares about the quality of your experience. You can also find the most wonderful condiments and biscuits to accompany your cheese. A wonderful place!

Lucked out with a Too Good To Go bag! Two huge cheeses, tomato chutney and porcini cream for £5. We were so impressed upon walking out the shop that my friend immediately bought another and went back in. His lacked the chutney, but still an amazing selection and deal. Delicious cheeses and a great way to try new things. Together with just bread and grapes, it made for a delicious student lunch. Service was fast and easy and I love the atmosphere of the shop! Would definitely consider again - not just a 2G2G, but any of the wonderful selections they have!

Yelp
Tucked away amongst a small passage of shops in a tiny alleyway linking Bridge St and Trinity St in the heart of Cambridge and accessible only by foot, this shop offers a variety of English and continental cheeses as well as other deli goods such as olives, cured meats or freshly prepared sandwiches. At first, the rustic decor, amazing aroma and friendly staff make it feel like a treasure trove to a cheeseoholic such as myself, but unfortunately that initial excitement quickly turns into disappointment. Granted, the staff are very knowledgeable about cheese, but they are less skilled at the practical side of their job, such as cutting a slice anywhere near to the weight specified by their customer or adding up prices correctly. Adding this to the rather high prices to begin with, leaves one's wallet in severe danger of starvation.

Yelp
Though a cheese shop to the casual passer by it is so much more than this!! As well as being the only place to buy cheese from in Cambridge it has some of the best service of any cheese shop I have ever been to, the friendly staff are more than willing to engage you in cheese related conversations. When you come out you not only know you have the cheese that you went in wanting, but you also feel slightly more enlightened than before. The main reason for my continious visits are the sandwiches that they sell, put simply they are amazing - so popular that John's now purchase them to sell in their bar at lunch time!! They are sandwhiches made from the highest quality ingredients fresh just a little earlier that day. Both hot and cold sandwhiches are avaliable.

Yelp
I have never found the shop to carry anything that is not of the highest quality. Their Italian and Spanish hams, those fabulous English and Continental cheeses, and the vast array of condiments ranging from locally made chutneys (save the jar after you're done and return it so they can reuse them next year) to some of the hottest chilli pepper sauces makes it a gourmand's wonderland. In season, they carry locally hunted and carefully captured ceps and when the garlic season is upon us there is a braided aroma that completes the senses of this magnificent shop. There are, here and there, little surprises like dried strawberries or French butter but uniformly, if you love yourself and what you eat you will be rewarded. As to price, you get what you pay for and I would rather get too much of a good thing than too little. Well Done, you!
