"Good authentic Korean restaurants are not two a penny in Paris, but this little restaurant, where the chef works behind his counter, is one of them: diners look on while Kim Kwang-Loc, as nimble-fingered as he is precise, creates the famous mandu (Korean dumplings) and tuna and beef tartares that make up the bulk of his minimalist menu. Passionate about Korean herbs, he seasons each of his delicate and tasty dishes with addictive flavours, perhaps in a quest to recreate his earliest culinary memories in Korea…" - Michelin Inspector

Google
Service 5/5 Atmosphere 6/5 love the fact that you can watch the chefs doing their work. So professional! Concerning the food I'll go with a 4/5 the Mandoo are really great and the beef tartar was really great, too. I missed the final taste explosion but it is really an experience I want to repeat.

A very cozy Korean restaurant with a clear focus on their signature dishes. The menu is simple but well-curated, mainly featuring mandoo and tartare — and both are absolutely delicious. You can really taste the quality and the care put into every plate. Definitely worth a visit if you want comforting, flavorful Korean food done right!

At the table with the chef! You get seated at the counter in front of the kitchen while the chef is slicing raw fish to prepare delicious ceviche. The food is super fresh and tasteful. Service is good. Atmosphere is warm and friendly. And prices are really fair. This is a very good surprise and I will definitely come back!

Great place to come but make sure you reserve! Stopped in to this Korean food bar on recommendation of a friend and will do it again! Busy place, with good service and great food and a pretty decent winelist. Had some variations of the dumplings, salads, rice and seafood tartares. All tasty and well balanced dishes really good value. Had a couple of the deserts as well. Carbon ice-cream...who knew?

It’s a very good place for a light meal. I say light because the dishes are quite small and not very filling. We ordered three sets of dumplings, two salads, and one tartare. After we finished with our meal we were still hungry but we didn’t want any more dumplings or tartare, but there were no other options on the menu. The pork and kimchi dumplings were our favorite. Both salads were spectacular as well!

Nirvana. Top quality. Serene. Book in advance. Allow time for the chef’s home made desserts!

Love love. Absolute must in Paris. Besides having amazing dumplings, there’s an ice cream to die for!

Google
This cozy little Korean restaurant offers a small but well-curated menu featuring delicious dumplings and beautifully prepared fish or beef tartares. The flavors are refined and incredibly satisfying. The open kitchen adds a lively touch to the atmosphere, with a few seats right in front of the chefs — a great spot to enjoy the craft behind the dishes. After three visits, I can confidently say I’m a fan. Always a delightful experience!

Yelp
Amazing casual restaurant for Korean dumplings. Was a bit late for our reservation , but was able to be accommodated. We had the kimchi and beef dumplings - super delicious. The wrap was just next level compared to a lot of other Korean dumplings I've had. Would definitely go back - and order a lot more than just two orders next time haha.

Yelp
Worst "korean" food I've ever had. The ambiance of the restaurant was fine; no bad notes on that front. However, in terms of the food and the culinary description of the restaurant's background, I could not have been more disappointed -- truthfully, I was fuming when I left the restaurant. My friend and I found this restaurant on a list from Vogue France about the best Korean restaurants in Paris. We were very excited for our meal because we were missing having Asian food on our Europe trip and saw Mandoobar had great michelin reviews. Our expectations were high because of how this restaurant prided itself in being "authentic" and the chef's upbringing in Seoul. We ordered the Korean side salad, gougi mandoo, shrimp mandoo, kimchi mandoo, and the sea bream tartare. All of these dishes stated they had sesame oil, vinegar, gochugaru, and/or gochujang (all staple Korean ingredients) in these dishes. This could not have been farther from the truth. The dishes were ridiculously bland, leaving my friend and I to drown our mandoo and sea bream in the sad "soy sauce" (which isn't even Korean) dish they gave us on the side. Aside from the five-year-old level taste profile of our meal, to make matters worse, our kimchi mandoo DID NOT EVEN HAVE KIMCHI IN IT. We had to open up our dumplings after eating the first one to check if there was kimchi in it because, once again, the taste was not there at all. We were met with two red pepper flakes in the filling that were supposed to "mimic" the flavors of kimchi (which it absolutely did not). Not a single dish lived up to our expectations, nor should any of them be considered Korean food -- let alone AUTHENTIC Korean food. To validate my review, I am Korean, have grown up eating homemade Korean food made by my immigrant aunts/grandmother/mother, and have visited Korea multiple times. We were furious when we had to pay $80 for the food we did get and we were still hungry when we left the restaurant. We were happier to leave the restaurant hungry than continue to order more food at this establishment. If I am ever in Paris again, I will never spend a single euro at Mandoobar and would strongly advise anyone who is craving and looking for a delicious Korean meal to NOT go to this restaurant. Save your money and time and visit Shin Jung (7 min walk away from Mandoobar) instead. My friend and I went here immediately after leaving Mandoobar and were pleasantly greeted not only by Korean restaurant staff and chef but also with delightful Korean aromatics. Tldr; DO NOT GO TO MANDOOBAR -- scam, NOT authentic Korean food, go to Shin Jung instead.

Yelp
MIAM MIAM!! This place is so hip. I called around 3 pm to make reservations for 8:30 pm on a Friday night and he was nice enough to squeeze me in. They speak French, English, and Korean here which is a plus! First off, the interior of this place is so zen. It is extremely clean and the open kitchen concept is so cool. The menu is small but everything is delicious. They have four types of ravioli/mandoos (meat, bead, kimchi tofu, veggie tofu), two types of tartare (salmon and beef), and a few sides like rice, salad, and soup. The raviolis are steamed and so fresh. You can order them at 8, 10, or 12 pieces. We tried 8 mixed meat, 8 bulgogi beef, and 16 kimchi tofus. The kimchi tofu was definitely our favorite. They come with a soy sauce and sesame oil dipping sauce that compliments the raviolis perfectly. We could have easily ordered more because they are so yummy! The presentation is also beautiful. The food is truly made with care by a team of four really cool people in the open kitchen. My boyfriend tried the beef tartare which came with a Korean kick of soy sauce and sesame seeds for 9€. The portion was small but the meat was truly quality. We also ordered the Korean salad which was prepared fresh in front of us. For dessert they have three different types of ice cream. We tried the coconut sesame seed one and it was the best ice cream I have tried in my life. With a bottle of Korean beer, our order came out to be 59€ for dinner. I would definitely come back here and recommend my friends to give this place a try to. Everything was perfect from start to finish. They also offer take out and the packaging is of course, perfect too!

Yelp
What a gem! Our third visit to Paris and our 2nd visit here and do yourself a favor and GO there now! Fresh, delicious, authentic and a stones throw from Idol hotel. The tartare is beyond words, and the new Mullet tartare is mind blowing! The Asian peppers they so kindly serve alongside your meal is a culinary taste explosion! Service is spot on, and the simple menu deserves recognition. I may have seen a Michelin star Run. Don't walk. Rethink what Paris food means to you and make a reservation! Don't miss the salad!

Yelp
Really a fantastic place. It's a small, one-room restaurant. The menu is comprised primarily of dumplings and various meats tartare. The ice cream is unique and adds a special touch to the end of the meal. Reservations are a good idea, and large parties (more than 3-4) would probably be impossible to seat. The food is reasonably priced for Paris. The service is outstanding! All together, the experience merits this restaurant's place on Michelin's Bib Gourmand.

Yelp
I loved this place. I was very hungry, and even though the portions appear small, they are very satisfying. The charcoal coconut ice cream was very delicious as well. Definitely recommend.

Yelp
I absolutely love that place. it is a very small and intimate space probably only about 15 seats. Even though the menu is not too extensive, the food quality is amazing and the Korean chef is very nice and professional. if you like authentic Korean food I highly recommend it.

Yelp
Maybe I have higher expectation for Michelin star restaurant and maybe I was expecting more from a place that features mandoo (dumpling) as it's core meal where they charge you about 1-2 euro per mandoo but the food, selection of drinks and everything about this place was average. The chef acts like he's too cool for you and the waiters do not cater to any of your needs as if this is 5 star establishment. If you never had Korean food then you may like this place as an entry point to Korean food but it lacks authenticity and missed the creativity of mandoo. It only has one type of mandoo which is just steamed and the stuffing inside had nothing special or anything to rave about. I'm disappointed because i went with a hype of this place being rated so high. This place does not deserve anything higher than 2 or 3. I'm giving it 3 because at least their desserts had homemade ice cream which was their most creative flavor. If you are French who is uneducated about Korean food then this is a fine place but if you are more educated then save your money and go to a more established Michelin award.restaurants.
