The Best Healthy Restaurants in Mexico City | Bon Appétit

"Julia Ortiz Monasterio, the ice cream diva of Helados Cometa, cooked around NYC before returning home to open a charming ice cream shop in late 2017. It’s the place for traditional ice creams and velvety sorbets in interesting flavors like mamey speckled with cacao nibs;matchawith dried cranberry; avocado; and jícama with ginger. She captures the best in seasonal produce with small batches, held in buttery, shatteringly crisp homemade cones (or a cup; but why?). The patterned tile floor, the bold blue and white paint job, and the cheerful pink totes are exemplary of the good design so common in this city.Colima 162, Roma Norte." - ByScarlett Lindeman

Definitely some of the worlds best icecream. Even rivals Berthillon in Paris. Flavors are more mellow than Berthillon but it has a lot more texture with nuts etc throughout. Also enjoyed the thin waffle cone. Serving sizes are pretty large and the prices are great. Highly recommend visiting if you get a chance!

I love the unique flavors this place has! I took a risk with green tea and raspberry (te verde con frambuesa) but I actually really liked it! The worker was very nice, and the atmosphere was wonderful. The cones were even the perfect consistency, I didn’t dine in, but I totally would’ve if I’d gotten the chance. Hopefully I’ll be able to stop there again by the end of my trip. I’m really glad I stopped by this shop for a quick treat!

Lovely little ice cream and coffee parlor. They make everything themselves and you can actually taste it (e.g. their cones are incredibly crunchy, with just the slightest touch of salt, giving lots of balance to the sweetness of the ice cream). They also sell cakes but those were considerably more expensive than the rest. Cute decor, gorgeous fresh flowers and nice music. Definitely worth a visit if you happen to be around.

This is such a magical ice cream shop, the place is as lovely as the owners and the flavors are mind blowing. Also, make sure to get yours on a cone, you can thank me later. My favorite ones are citrics, coffee and green tea 🍦

The mango sorbet was very tasty and fruity. I typically get dairy ice creams but the sorbet was perfect for a hot day.

chocolate ice cream is really good and "tuna taste" means a cactus in English. It tastes like a watermelon.

Cute monkey themed ice cream shop. 90 pesos for two large scoops. Green tea raspberry and yogurt, honey and pistachio were fabulous.

Our current favorite icecream spot because the flavors are so well thought out and changing often so there’s always something new to try and enjoy. Current favorite is the Earl Grey and the Jamaica sorbet with Jengibre. Honorable mention to the green tea and raspberry🍵
