I hope my review can help redeem this spot if it’s on your list - like it was on mine. After reading the reviews I was little skeptical, but I truly had a great experience at Bubble Bath. The atmosphere is amazing and views are stunning! They fill a hole in the Boston bar scene in my opinion - of fancy rooftops WITH amazing interior. Sure we have Lookout but the inside of Lookout is pretty meh. So I think this place is a great addition. We went on Saturday night and surprisingly did not have to wait for a table. A big plus!! The ambience is amazing, both indoors and outdoors (see photos) The menu is a little limited. They only have about 10 cocktails on the menu. Food options are also limited - even more so if you’re vegetarian. But would highly recommend to go for a good time and drinks! As far as service goes, our hostess was a little late to pay attention to us but it was also potentially because we switched tables from indoors to outdoors. For outdoors they offer you blankets which is a great touch. If you’re ordering food you will be charged a 5% kitchen appreciation fee but it’s optional so if you don’t want it, you can ask to have it removed. It’s added by default though. Other than that, our night at BBB was fantastic! I’d definitely recommend this place!

We booked a 50th birthday dinner here, expecting the experience to be as incredible as the rooftop atmosphere and it truly did start off that way. From the elegant entrance to the sparkling sequin elephant and the vibrant ambiance, everything seemed perfect at first. Our server, Alex, took our first drink order and our small tapas selections. The drinks came quickly and were delicious. Unfortunately, that’s where the good service ended. We wanted a second round, but Alex never returned to check on us. When our tapas arrived, all five of my friends received their dishes but mine never came. After waiting quite a while, I tried to get Alex’s attention with no luck. Another staff member passed by and said he would check with the kitchen, but nothing happened. Eventually, I canceled my order only for a dish to show up much later after everyone had finished eating and our drinks were long gone. It was disappointing to feel forgotten and brushed aside, especially when celebrating such a special occasion. When I raised the issue with management, it was handled poorly and without much concern. If you’re looking for one drink and a beautiful sunset, this place certainly delivers on atmosphere. But if you’re hoping for attentive service and a positive dining experience, be prepared to be disappointed.

Best new rooftop in Boston. The inside has floor to ceiling windows with incredible views but the patio! Oh my! It’s big and has my new favorite view. Wine and cocktail list is impeccable and all the food we tried was innovative and delicious. Cod cheeks, chicken tikka, dill cucumber sammies and the fries were stand outs. The service was lovely. Knowledgeable and passionate. It’s busy as you would expect but they do their best to accommodate

I had a fantastic experience here! Bianca, the hostess, was the most friendly and personable hostess I’ve ever encountered. She was so helpful showing us our seating options and grabbing us blankets when we decided to sit outside. Bianca gave such a great first impression, I knew I was going to love it there. Joanne was our server and she was a sweetheart! She gave fantastic wine and menu recommendations. We were only planning on staying for 1 drink and ended up staying for 5 because the service, drinks, and view were fantastic!

Okay, Bubble Bath sounds fun, like a porcelain container full of suds and warm water, but I wouldn’t say it was exactly what I expected. We arrived with no reservation on a Friday night around 9p and surprisingly got a table pretty fluidly. I did avoid helping our hostess when she dropped all the menus in front of us but I needed to keep my hands squeaky clean. When we sat down, we had amazing views with the Pru in the foreground and views of the of sudsy Charles River, telescopes complementing each in-door table. Our server came by pretty quickly and we ordered our spick-and-span cocktails. I tried asking the server for his preference between two drinks, but he kind of just described the drinks to me, unbiased and scrubbed. The drinks were good, nothing too bubbly. After getting our drinks, I asked if we could walk around the tub and he gave me a semi-curt “yup” to which we took our cocktails, leaving our waters on the table. When walked over to the outdoor balcony, I nearly started foaming at an even better view around Hynes down Newbury Street, with all the buildings complementing the view. After about 5 minutes (in bath-time, about an hour), another server came by to ask a quote “weird question” which was what our server looked like. I said he had a clean-cut beard, but when we went got back in, I saw despite our server having stumble, every other server had a fully grown, aseptic beards. I deserve a proper waterboarding for that one. When we came back to our table for a dunk, there was another couple sitting there and our waters were gone. We were practically just stripped of our clothes and not even given a towel. We took the table behind them in the same section and proceed to get ignored by our server until we asked for the check, like he cleansed his mind of us. Overall, a great hygienic spot! Small suggestion, add rubber ducks.

Super cute decor, fun vibes and a really amazing view! Expect a pricey rooftop and I’d recommend if not just staying and waiting to be sat you should definitely swing back don’t rely on them to call you. We got there for sunset but there was a wait and put our names and phone number in. They never called so we swung back after a few hours and they definitely lost our reservation but sat us pretty promptly to make up for it! It’s definitely pricey but the pours were solid and they have a cool wine selection. The rooftop was pretty and they even let us move seats so we were right at the edge and had an amazing view of the city!! Super cute, good music, nice vibes and cool wines. Our waitresses were really sweet too and so were the managers who were kinda floating around! We even got extra cocktails which was super cool of them!!

went with some friends, we really lucked out with a table in the center front of the rooftop. Our wait also wasn't very long, but we went on the day of the torrential downpour so I think the rain cleared out most people's plans. After we got there, several groups showed up after us. Again, we lucked out with timing. Our waitress was super nice and gave us a great wine recommendation and we ended up ordering the bottle. The sunset was absolutely stunning. The food was good, not great and overpriced but expected for a rooftop location. I definitely wouldn't eat here again, but my friends and i are planning to return to share another bottle.

Nothing says ‘happy birthday’ like being told ‘the exit is that way We had a reservation for my friend’s birthday celebration and were genuinely excited to try out this “new” rooftop. The birthday girl arrived on time, and the rest of us followed shortly after. Our server greeted us promptly, we ordered drinks and a few small plates. Just a note, if you’re hungry, this is not the place for you. The food here is very limited and very much tapas-style, literal finger food. The trouble began when it was time to pay (well, technically, it started when the first unexpected mini portion plate arrived). Our bill was just over $299 and we asked to split it five ways. Instead of dividing evenly, one friend was charged around $70 plus tip, and another was charged $277+. I noticed the mistake and told the server about it. Our server admitted he didn’t know what happened, panicked, and left to get his manager. He came back and stated that he didn’t know he had to continue pressing the button so that the bill can continue splitting, that made no sense. That’s when “General Manager” Aaron magically appeared and things quickly went downhill. From the moment he arrived, he had an attitude, visibly annoyed that we were questioning the charges. He insisted that nothing had been charged (which was a lie, since the pending charges were already showing on our cards). He then re-ran the transactions, but when we asked for receipts, he told us we’d need to wait 20+ minutes because he had “over 2000 transactions” to go through. Extremely rude and zero etiquette. We explained we weren’t leaving without proof of refund, so eventually Aaron came back with his laptop, slammed it down on our table, and said the receipts didn’t print so he would “just text them.” Completely unprofessional. When one of us calmly tried to express how discouraging and unpleasant this whole experience had been, Aaron cut her off, pointed at the door, and said, “The exit is that way, have a good night.” For a rooftop bar that markets itself as chic and upscale, this was hands down one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had in any restaurant (and I’ve had my share). Between the tiny food portions (which is fine if the food was good), sloppy billing mistakes, ice cubes in my drink that kept hitting me in the face (hard to drink), and the outright rude treatment from management, lacked basic hospitality. I’m a firm believer that if you’re in a field where customer service is what drives your business, you need to try a little harder. A night that was supposed to be a celebration of life left a sour taste in our mouths. Definitely not the experience portrayed in their pictures and videos. Lots of potential here, but not while it’s being run into the ground.
