Dining on a Saturday night, around 7 PM. Waited approximately 10 minutes to sit down, but we were early for a reservation. The main level appeared to be about 75% full, and understaffed. We sat down and waited for someone to bring us water, took about 30 minutes. Host finally brought us something and explain that the kitchen was slammed and they were understaffed. Not a great way to start the evening. Our server finally showed up, he was great. Name was Ahmad. We ordered everything right away, food out fairly quickly, even though the first round went to the wrong table. I'd say everything was OK, highlight was the potatoes. Food wasn't warm, really on the verge of being cold. Empty Table next to us stayed dirty for a while, that was disappointing. Noise level was pretty high, but that's OK doesn't bother me. The reason I'm giving only two stars is because we waited a long time to be served, felt the cleanliness of the restaurant was below average, food was really just OK. Didn't help that it wasn't warm. Apologizing right off the bat for slow service and a slow kitchen from the hostess wasn't a great look. I could tell that things are gonna be slow, so my expectations are low. restaurant been open a while, I guess I'm surprised that Saturday night service wasn't more efficient. I understand that staffing has been an issue for many restaurants though. I didn't eat anything that I couldn't make at home and maybe make it just as good. Again, our server, Ahmad, was great. All smiles, good sense of humor, worked hard to make sure that we were happy. Only so much you can do. Packing a 20% tip onto a bill for three people also didn't really sit well with us. I'm a generous tipper as it is, would've got his 20% maybe more.
