Our server was very attentive and kind. Food was awesome. Hubby, who is very picky, said it's his favorite Mexican restaurant in town now. Would recommend.

The whole vibe of the place is fresh and welcoming, and the food and drinks totally blew us away. Our server, Benito, was AMAZING. He was so friendly, helpful, and polite — he made sure we were taken care of the entire time. I ordered the pineapple coconut margarita, and WOW… it was seriously one of the best margaritas I’ve ever had. Easily the best margarita in Springfield! Huge shoutout to the bartender, Will, for that one! I also had the salmon tacos, and they were incredible—perfectly cooked and full of flavor. You can tell a lot of thought goes into everything they do here. This might just be my new favorite spot in Springfield!

Almost really nice atmosphere but the tables pushed up against the walls feels weird. Bar is huge. Poblano was good but why only one? $18 should buy 2. The special wasn’t. No extra flavor, just meat rice & cheese. Definitely should find something else to call your special. We will come back and update with other menu items. For now, temper your expectations.

A new favorite “go-to” spot! Everything that our table ordered came out looking amazing and I’m happy to say it tasted even better than it looked! The staff were nice and accommodating. We sat in the courtyard outside which was a great spot to enjoy the delicious food.

We had a great meal (7 of us). The waitress was attentive. The chips were thin. I ordered the Luna Special ($19) which was grilled steak, chicken, shrimp, onions and bell peppers. Served over a bed of Mexican rice. Topped with cheese sauce. The spices and seasoning were perfect. It was a huge quantity.

Luna in Springfield is a MUST! The table-side guacamole is a fun and tasty experience. We loved the perfectly cooked pan-roasted Salmon with white rice and veggies. BUT the real star might have been the Steak El Gallo – a mouthwatering ribeye with shrimp and a killer cheese sauce! And don't even get me started on their fantastic Margaritas.

Absolutely delicious. When I go to Mexican restaurants I always order the same thing so that I can get a feel for the food quality. I ordered street tacos pastor. These are some of the best street tacos I’ve had. I don’t like refried beans as a general rule but these were so velvety smooth, they could have been butter.

Yelp
Took a lunch break at Luna Modern Mexican and it was absolutely phenomenal. Located at the east end of Battlefield Rd, Luna has a very comfortable inside area as well as outside courtyard which is great when the weather cooperates. We were seated inside next to a cozy fireplace just like a nice family setting. The iced margarita is arguably the best in Springfield followed by an innovative quesabirria that hit a spot I didn't even know was missing. Just like a quesadilla but served with consome for dipping, this simple creation was amazing. Even the kids agreed "this is the best taco/burrito I've ever had." To back up this claim, I've only seen them clean a handful of plates and they cleared these in record times! The service and attentive staff was top notch and very friendly and understanding. Honestly, I can't say enough good things about this establishment or its staff. I might be pushing things, but Luna is a top 5 up-and-coming restaurant in Springfield.

Yelp
If there were a sixth star for "exceptional", I would mark that box after my visit to Luna Modern Mexican this evening. There aren't enough superlatives to describe this Picasso of Mexican cuisine. And to think I was hesitant to patronize it due to my previous experiences with its predecessor, Katrina's. After speaking with its impressively hands-on manager, Sergio, I found that Luna's was not a mere 'rename' but under new ownership by the company that brought Springfield the Casa Bella restaurants. I immediately breathed a sigh of relief. Luna's is in a Mexican realm of its own: Truly creative cuisine without being inauthentic, funky fusion or gourmet bizarro. Likely, their closest competitors are Primas, Casa Bella & Jose Loco's - not to discredit the solid local Mexican/South American restaurants like Perches, Cesar's, the original Los Michoacanos Garcia's and Senor Julians. Luna's is just in a different sphere likely to appeal to a bit more discriminating or adventurous crowd. We had reservations (recommended) for a Saturday night at 6 pm and seated promptly upon arrival. The atmosphere was subdued with stone & art accents. The creative table lamps provided plenty of light while maintaining the mood. Our waiter, Uva, was perfect: Extremely affable & efficient but otherwise unobtrusive. I noticed that other waiters were likewise efficient with a full house. We started with margaritas: Pineapple & Coconut for my sister while the missus & I had the Hibiscus...simply delightful. After a uniquely delicious appetizer of Street Corn in lieu of the tableside-prepared Guacamole, our entrees of 6 Pepper Salmon, Chicken & Spinach Enchiladas, Divorciadas Enchiladas, & the Carne Asada 8 oz ribeye with fries instead standard sides arrived timely. All my tablemates absolutely raved about their respective dishes. Our granddaughter had the Churros with ice cream for dessert but the adults were too sated for anything else. Consensus was that Luna's unique sauces for each dish were incomparably divine in helping make excellent, perfect. I don't blow smoke or embellish reviews especially when I find an awesome restaurant that speaks for itself, deserving customer attention. Luna's is one of these. I selfishly would hate to make it anymore crowded than it already is, but this restaurant is that special. It would be a crime not to share it with others to experience for themselves.
