Bar Gallardo

Hidden gem in Granada, one of those places only the locals truly know. The food and quality is top and the team even better. Enjoy and thank me later.

Amazing food provided with drinks. Was welcomed to Spain by a 5 year old there with his mom. Bar was packed the entire night, especially at 1030 when google says it close lol. Bourdain apparently went here but no signs of it. Would super recommend!

Establecimiento tranquilo con comida casera. Me sorprendieron las tapas, de muy buena calidad y cantidad. El camarero nos recomendó que pedir ya que era la primera vez que íbamos, incluso nos contó un par de chistes.

Very authentic tapas experience. Remember that in Granada, you get a free tapa with every drink order. Shrimp in oil (6/10): The shrimp was a little too greasy and had a pretty strong herby aftertaste. Fried Shrimp (5/10): tasted kind of average, similar to frozen shrimp. Lamb (7/10): The lamb was very good. Nicely sauteed, and it came with bread too Calamari (10/10): divinely fried. It was so nicely browned on the outside and just bursting with flavor. Tomatoes (8/10): nice and juicy tomatoes. Very refreshing. Olive oil was delicious!! Wines were very good. Be aware that you order at the bar. If you're at a table, they won't come asking if you want more food/drinks. I don't think the wait staff speaks much English, but we knew enough Spanish to get by.

My sister and I had an amazing time at Bar Gallardo. We decided to visit this place after seeing it on Anthony Bourdain... at first we were hesitant thinking Anthony might send us to a tourist trap... but it was actually the complete opposite! We tried almost everything in the menu, and loved everything but our favourite was the tender lamb that fell of the bone. Not to mention the owner, who made us feel so at home... and had a great music selection! We hope to be back!
