Reserved a table for 2 for 7PM on a Wednesday night but arrived a little earlier (~ 6:30PM). The woman who greeted us, and was the sole person working the dining room at that time, offered us a 6-top (for two of us) or a few minutes wait until a couple vacated a nice window table. We opted for the latter, and were seated shortly after in the small, nicely Low-lighted and decorated dining room with 6 other parties, mostly 3 to 6 diners each. Every phase (drinks, bread, ordering of entrees) moved slowly until a second waiter joined her, and then the timing was fine. My wife ordered a 3-glass wine flight (2.5 to 3 ounces each; you don't see that very often!) and I asked for a Rum & Coke, with the rum on the side. Ended up getting a nice 2+ ounce pour (interesting how varied the "side rum" can be, volume-wise), along with an icy cold 12-oz Coke can and glass of ice with a lime wedge. Bread consisted of toasted and herb-brushed italian strips, along with a herbed oil dipping bowl. My wife ordered a Spinach Salad, thinking it would be a standard salad, and I got one of their many (10+?) specials: Penne Gorgonzola with carmelized onions and sun dried tomatoes mixed in. Both of what we received was excellent. She raved about the salad, saying it was unusually good ("savory, with warm bacon vinagrette and carmelized onions...just delicious!") and way beyond what she expected. My Penne Gorgonzola was also great tasting, so much so that I didn't feel any need to add the grated cheese that was brought along with it. I took half the serving home and can't wait to have it for lunch soon. We looked over the dessert menu, and although a few things looked promising, we both opted to skip dessert and/or coffee. Overall, this was a great find (our first time there), but it will not be our last. Nice work, Mangia!
