Google
Great experience- what stood out the most was service. We sat in the lounge area, and our server was really attentive, patient, and present throughout. The burrata appetizer dish was really good and so was the Pizza. I’m not an expert in Italian food so can’t judge the bolognese

Google
Delicious pasta..really enjoyed pollo lasagna, calamari, spaghetti and meatballs, and pizza. Ambience is nice and service is great. Little pricey but you come here to enjoy fresh pasta! Dessert was good but skip apple pie, some odd herb thrown in and it just threw off the whole taste but great chocolate cakes. Enjoyed our midnight fantasy and velvet panache. Also recommend making a reservation, gets pretty packed and lounge may get crowded.

Google
The Caprese Burrata was a refreshing appetizer, I enjoyed the ratio of tomato to burrata. The Fettucine Alfredo Tartufo was so delicious, 9/10! The wider pasta noodles paired really well with the cream sauce, which was flavorful and not too heavy like other versions of this dish. But the portion size was a bit smaller than expected. Perfect for one person, but if you want to share dishes or are hella hungry, I’d recommend ordering two. The Farfalle Salmone Vodka was also very tasty. The smoked salmon was very salty, but if you eat it in small bites with pasta, the flavors balance out well. Solid 8/10! The open kitchen adds to the ambiance, but the restauraunt itself was quite dim. I think an addition of candles or mini centerpieces would really enhance the atmosphere. Although the service was a bit slow and difficult to get attention, the restauraunt was so busy and we didn’t mind too much. Shoutout to the one chef who went around asking how everyone’s dinner was. Gave him a fistbump and he kindly gave us a tiramisu on the house. Which was bomb!!! Perfectly balanced flavors and sweetness. Would come back just for that dessert. Overall, would definitely recommend this place to anyone craving some authentic italian.

Google
Had dinner here celebrating my bestfriends birthday. I can not say enough good things about this place. Food was AMAZING!! Service was IMPECCABLE!! Drinks were STRONG!! The owner very graciously game us complimentary desert. I spent a couple hundred but it was worth every penny for every delicious bite.

Google
We came here for a business meal. Ordered the escargot but it was unnecessarily smothered in oil n herbs that u couldn’t even taste the delicacy. I have had better tasting ones. For main course, I ordered the steak as medium but they sent it as well done. I didn’t wanna return it in front of my business peers but for $74 they should know how to cook a steak. It’s not that difficult. Even the garnishing looks cheap n unnecessary for a high class restaurant like this. Disappointed that my meal was sub par given the prices and other reviews.

Google
Found this restaurant in 2021 and have been going ever since for business lunches/dinners, birthdays, dates, and even late night last minute meals. The owner, Armen, is great and always greeting us as we pass by or while we are eating. The host/hostess are always accommodating to the last minute changes when able, and the waiter, waitresses, and bussers are all very kind.

Google
Mi Piace has been a solid choice in Old Pasadena for over 25 years, and it shows. Came here with a friend for dinner after FIFA Club World Cup game Monterey vs River Plate. Service was smooth. Staff was attentive but not overbearing. Interior feels upscale without being stiff. Good for dates, small groups, or casual business dinners. Prices are fair for the area and the quality. Expect $25–$40 per entree. You come here when you want something reliable, well-prepared, and with good service. I’ve eaten here more than once. Never had a bad meal. Would recommend for both locals and out-of-towners.

Google
Food is good. The bread was our favorite with the escargot. I had the shrimp scampi. The menu said it came with 4 shrimp, I only got 3. Service was not that good. We had to wait a long time for the waiter to come back to us regarding our check or dessert. We felt it was overpriced for what you get. We wouldn’t go back. There’s no parking. It’s on a very busy street.

Yelp
Terrific local italian spot! My wife took me here for a birthday dinner. We each got a glass of wine and started with the bread. My wife got the gnocchi and I got the pappardelle bolognese, which were both divine. We finished with the "Midnight Fantasy," a chocolate orange cake and creme brulee. Rhonda, our server, was friendly and attentive, and the ambience was classy and comfortable, which helped make the occasion feel special. Looking forward to coming back.

Yelp
The food is always excellent and the service only improves with each visit! It's a perfect place to celebrate something special with a giant sparkler on a dessert. The music choice is on point and the general atmosphere is upscale but comfortable at the same time. The restaurant owner will also make an appearance on occasion to check on tables which just adds to the thoughtful experience. This is one of my favorite places to go :)

Tami B.

Yelp
Food and service were amazing. Beautiful ambiance. The owner came out to check on our experience. Will definitely be back.

Yelp
We came for my grandma's 96th Birthday and the restaurant provided stellar service to make the experience fabulous. The waitress was attentive getting our order straight away, providing suggestions, and topping off our drinks. In advance, we made preparations with the restaurant to provide small accommodations like seating for my grandma so she is comfortable. She was very comfortable and the restaurant took care of all of us. Thank you! We ordered several entrees and highly recommend all of them! You can't go wrong with any of their foods. Everything came out fast and satisfactory. -Pepperoni, Mushroom Sausage Pizza- Delicious. -Seafood Pasta -Meat Lasagne -Spaghetti with Meatballs The ambiance is very classic Italian and family-oriented. All the tables are covered with beautiful white. This is the place where you come celebrate, catch up with family, and have a warm Italian feasting!

Yelp
Mi Piace in Pasadena has become one of my absolute favorite places, and every visit reminds me why. The atmosphere is warm, lively, and inviting perfect for everything from a casual dinner to a special night out. The moment you walk in, you feel that mix of energy and comfort that makes you want to stay awhile. The food is consistently outstanding. Every dish is fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Whether I'm in the mood for pasta, something from the bar, or one of their signature desserts, I know I'm going to love it. It's the kind of menu where you can't go wrong because everything is that good. What really makes Mi Piace special, though, is the owner. He is incredibly friendly, welcoming, and genuinely cares about making sure guests have a great experience. That personal touch makes a huge difference. You don't just feel like a customer you feel like a valued guest. Overall, Mi Piace always delivers amazing food, a fantastic atmosphere, and exceptional hospitality. It's the combination of all those things that keeps me coming back again and again. If you haven't been, you're missing out!

Yelp
A stable for many years in Old Town Pasadena. It's been a while since I frequented Mi Piace and I'm glad that I did this week! We did not make an advance reservation but we were seated right away. I ordered my favorite Linguine pescatore and it came in a bowl of fresh seafood with a perfectly executed garlicky tomato-based broth, perfect for a cold fall night. We also had a lemon meringue for dessert and it was really delicious.
google avatar

Yelp
Probably one of the best pastas we've had in a while. Everything tastes great. Perfect pasta bite. I really liked the crust on my pizza too - soft and doughy. They were out of calamari so we just got the fries with spicy seasoning- it was soooo good. 10 stars for our server. Super attentive and friendly. The interior of the restaurant felt a little dated but cozy and simple overall. Will come back soon.

Yelp
Terrible service. Wanted to give it a weak 3 stars but just can't do it. Wanna' know how bad the service was? I actually had to get water myself when our water glasses were empty. It gets worse. Our server spent the least amount of time he possibly could. Every time he came to our table (which wasn't much), he'd be gone before we could even finish telling him what we needed. We ordered focaccia bread that we didn't get. We reminded him when he finally came around after we received our main course, by then, we didn't even want it. For dessert, we had a chocolate soup. It's basically a lava cake. They ran out of whipped cream! Can you believe it? It was just like eating a melted dark chocolate bar. Two bites and I was over it. What a waste of money. Not only that, but the tables are packed close together. The woman at the table next to us was ear hustling the whole time. Apparently, what we had to say was more interesting than the person she was with. This is one of the most disappointing dining experiences I've had in a very long time. Both food and service were sub-par. They don't have parking and don't validate parking. I went here because my friend said it was her favorite Italian restaurant. She was embarrassed that she had picked this place. I think next time I'll take her to Olive Garden. It would definitely be a step up! I wish I were kidding.

Celebrated my birthday 10/31 at this place Mi Piace. Ordered delicious & delectable food. Started with escargot & salads. Food % Service % Ambiance %

Yelp
Mi Piace in Pasadena offers a 50's "white tablecloth" intalia restaurant ambiance. Our service was not great (had to ask for things multiple times before she delivered.) The brunch menu was a lacking so we ordered from the main menu. Italian fare was well done. However, the food Felt overpriced for what it was. The owner was visiting tables. Patrons seem to be a faithful group of "regulars" - which says a lot. However, we thought the prices were not matched by the actual food, ambiance or service. I've been twice to Mi Piace but doubtful will return for a third.
google avatar

Yelp
They do Italian food well here. White tablecloths, great service. We came for lunch and they were still offering the brunch menu. I started with a glass of OJ [insert white bronco joke here] and a cappuccino. I had the chicken piccata which was good and came with spaghetti on the side. The chicken itself was delicious, lightly breaded and fried, topped with artichokes, capers and a mild sauce. I wish the sauce was a bit punchier. I feel like it needed a bit more lemon or acidity from the capers. The spaghetti on the side was al dente and lightly seasoned. I understand this may be the traditional way to serve chicken piccata, but I would have prefered the spaghetti on the plate with the chicken and sauce. I want enough sauce to cover all of the pasta. Additionally, the way the spaghetti was served (sauceless) made the noodles stick together in a way that was unpleasant to get on the fork. I would have prefered an angel hair pasta, served under the chicken and sauce. This is not the type of restaurant I usually patronize. This is the type of place that you bring parents and grandparents that want a classic dish done the classic way. Absolutely nothing wrong with that. But it lacks the imaginative spark that I'm looking for when I go out to eat. Overall, the food is good, service is great. This spot is obviously well-loved by Pasadena and I'm sure will be for many years.

Yelp
Eleanor was an absolute delight--her bright personality and positivity truly elevated the meal. The food itself was just as impressive: my friend enjoyed the lamb chops while I had the tagliatelle with prawns, followed by a dessert duo of crème brûlée cheesecake and the chocolate trio (because why stop at one?). The booths could use a little reupholstering and the bathrooms are a bit of an adventure to find, but those are minor notes in an otherwise excellent experience. Watching the chefs at work while dining was the perfect finishing touch--like dinner and a show, only tastier.

Yelp
Came here the other day. They have an amazing menu, tons of wine varieties, and cocktail options. There are two entrances. We came in it guess we were told the bar entrance. And we stood there for 5 minutes while 2 guys stood at the bar and said nothing to us. So we walked more in and had to ask someone if we were supposed to seat ourselves. So that was a little weird especially since the restaurant wasn't busy. Inside is very clean and tons of windows which is nice. We opted for by the windows. I got a glass of the viogner. It was very good. For appetizers we got the calamari and escargot. The calamari was kinda bland, the dipping sauce and lemon saved it. It was fried well though! The escargot was absolutely delicious. Would order that again. We also got two pastas. The braised short rib ravioli (ravioli de costine) which was very good and the sauce was nice and light. We also got bucatini pomadoro. The noodles were a little hard while some were soft and perfect. But the flavor was good. I however would not order that again. Overall it was decent but the only stand out for me was the escargot and the braised short rib pasta. I would be willing to try other things and go again and hopefully change it to more stars!

Yelp
Been back to Mi Piace many times since my last review from 9 years ago. It's still one of my favorite restaurant. Thank you so much for being a huge part of my life journey- from celebrating birthdays to anniversaries to "just because" get togethers...service is still wonderful, food still tastes amazing, always a 10/10.
google avatar

Mike N.

Yelp
Excellent food, awesome service, great environment.... Owner was checking on each table if they're enjoying their meal, and offered some great free desserts.

Ally A.

Yelp
I hadn't dined at Mi Piace in ages and decided to stop by for brunch with my Mom this morning. I'm glad we did Our server *Eleanor* was very sweet and attentive; her customer service was excellent! For food we ordered the: 1. **bread service** a Mi Piace classic iykyk! sliced Parmesan Focaccia with side of olive oil + balsamic; 2. Caesar salad and added chicken; 3. Butternut Squash + ricotta filled ravioli with sage brown butter reduction [I removed 1-star because the ravioli dish was a bit too greasy]. Overall I had a lovely experience at Mi Piace and will be back soon!

Yelp
I was in the area and missed this place that I used to go during my college days. Made a reservation and got seated right away during weeknights dinner. The service was nice and attentive, unfortunately the food was way below par. I was extremely disappointed from what Mi Piace that I used to be excited about. The bolognese pasta was very bland and kind of dry, not flavorful at all, as well as the gnocchi, the texture is not like the typical gnocchi, it tasted like cheap store bought gnocchi. My Caesar salad, sadly, it was the worst Caesar I've ever had. The bitterness of the lettuce was very pungent, I couldn't even taste the overall salad. What a sad, sad visit in an old town Pasadena.

Yelp
I'm not kidding when I say EVERYTHING we ate here was 10/10 and worth the $$$. This Italian restaurant in Pasadena was incredible! If you're looking for a more upscale dining experience that's authentic Italian food you have to visit Mi Piace in Pasadena the next time you are in the SGV. They pride themselves on using all handmade and the best sourced ingredients from Italy and beyond. They've been in business over 30 years too and are in Old Pasadena which is so charming. the staff here are also so kind and were happy to answer any questions about the menu and we had great service. I will definitely be back!
google avatar

Mimi L.

Yelp
Busy, popular, noisy, and terribly overpriced restaurant, in the heart of Pasadena's downtown. My cousin and I split a basic salad (her half got all the olives, so I had to ask for more for mine), ordered bread (extra cost!), I had the farfalle salmon with vodka sauce, she had the filet mignon with 2 glasses of wine, and we both ordered desserts. (Total price was over $200.) All in all, I have to say that the food was rather mediocre...I've certainly had better, of everything, and for much less cost. The bread was the best part, hot from the over, flavorful and crispy. My salmon portion was on the small size, and was dwarfed by the amount of pasta on the plate. I was halfway through my farfalle before someone stopped by to offer some Parmesan overtop. The server wanted to stop with a ridiculously light sprinkle. My dessert was unimpressive for the price. Our service could have been better. Our server was training her new coworker, which was a bit awkward, and took extra time for her to explain all things. One of the managers came by later on and disclosed personal info about our server that he shouldn't have. We hadn't asked, and it was extraneous to our meal.
google avatar

Elainey G.

Yelp
Food was good nothing really stood out. They sat us in the bar area it was kind of dark and hard to see. I guess it's because of my service dog. Service was good and attentive.

Yelp
This is my favorite restaurant in Pasadena. The food is always exceptional. The staff is welcoming and experienced. And the vibes are always fun-filled. The best Italian restaurant in Pasadena and nearby. The owner takes so much pride in his restaurant and it shows. He makes certain to greet every guest. The attention makes a difference.
google avatar

Aesthetic W.

Yelp
Best Italian food I've had in a long time the owner came up and greeted us to our meal and multiple visits from the staff, making sure that we are OK and we are extremely happy. We had the pizza, the pasta, the spaghetti and the Caesar salad two thumbs up And happy family will come again.

Luciana F.

Yelp
Mi Piace is Pasadena's best Italian restaurant. The food is truly phenomenal every single time, rich flavors, perfectly prepared dishes, and consistently amazing quality. The service is always excellent as well; the staff is attentive, friendly, and professional. One thing that really sets Mi Piace apart is the owner. He regularly walks around the restaurant, checking on guests and making sure everyone is having a great experience. Highly recommend Mi Piace for anyone looking for incredible food and outstanding service.
google avatar

Mark A.

Yelp
What can I say...wow. great service, great martinis and great food. The calamari was the best I've had in awhile, lightly battered and the calamari is not chewy. Super thinly sliced filet mignon for starters. And the main course...traditional meatball and spaghetti and a chicken dish. Great music and great staff - you can't go wrong.
google avatar

Yelp
Came here on Thanksgiving night. Great service. Great food. Great vibes. Drew was amazing. Great hospitality. We ordered the spicy paccheri, pollo parmigiana, and the burger. Everything was DELICIOUS. I was nodding my head in approval the entire time I was eating. My parents are difficult to please, and they said they can't wait to return. Will be coming back!!!
google avatar

Mike G.

Yelp
Came across this place last minute. Was looking for an italian restaurant with a great list of wine options and of course great reviews on food. The service we received here was superb, from the moment we walked in until the moment we walked out. The food was definitely delicious, we ended up ordering the Bolognese Parpadelle, Calamari, Tiramisu Cake and the Fettuccine Alfredo Tartufo with Shrimp. Not one complaint about their food. Will definitely be back. We also had glasses of their Pinot Grigio and Merlot, perfection. Ambiance is very chill and quiet.

Yelp
Mi Piace is one of my family's favorite Italian restaurants in LA! The food always hits the spot, and the staff are extremely accommodating and friendly. When I asked for substitution on one of the dishes, one of the staff members said, "Our motto is any thing that you'd like. So of course we can make adjustments for you and make it the way you like!". So kind!! Notable items: Bread service: Garlic Focaccia Bread served with olive oil and vinegar. IT WAS SO GOOD. Bread was soft and flavorful. I tried so hard to stop myself from eating too much of it because I wanted to save my stomach for the main entrees. Caesar Salad: fresh vegetables and very light. Enjoyed it as a perfect appetizer! Bucatini Alla Carbonara: creamy sauce with al dente pasta. Paired so well with the savory pancetta! Fettuccine Alfredo Tartufo: rich, cream sauce. very filling! Pepperoni Pizza: HUGE portion. Shareable size and the kids loved it. There's parking available at the public parking structures nearby for $1. Very beautiful and clean decor inside. Classy setting, but casual dress code is still fine (perfect for a date night!). Even though it's quite big inside and there's seating available outdoors too, it can get busy, so I highly recommend getting a reservation! Thank you Mi Piace for the wonderful experiences throughout the years!!
google avatar

Yelp
My FAVORITE date night spot This place is amazing very intimate setting with lovely hosts and servers, a please we can always count on for date night. The food is amazing with the pizza and pasta always being delicious always recommend this place 10/10

Yelp
I was hitting Pasadena for my bday gift and Decided to stop by to grab a bite . Great place always fresh food and great service . Is always busy that must mean something right ? I have been here for dinner and lunch and is always fresh and delicious !

Yelp
Delicious food, great ambiance, and fabulous service! I highly recommend this for a fun night out- whether date night or family. And they look like they had delicious pastries, I'll have to come back and try them.

Yelp
Ended up here before the Rufus du Sol concert. It was definitely packed in here for a Sat night, but given the sold out concert that was a given. We had a reservation but ended up snagged seats at the bar instead which worked out very nicely. Had a delicious bottle of their Sancerre, started off with some bruschetta and got the Paparadelle Bolognese for my entree. The pasta was very al dente and delicious with lots of natural flavors. The bruschetta was tasty but a bit heavy for a starter. Might be okay if you have a big party to share with but a little too much for two people. Ambiance was great. Very lively and packed but lots of locals who clearly come here all the time.

Chaghig K.

Yelp
This restaurant absolutely made my Thanksgiving. The moment we arrived, the staff treated us like family. I came here with my family for Thanksgiving dinner. It didn't feel like "holiday service"; it felt like they truly cared that we were having a great time. The food was outstanding. If you're looking for a Thanksgiving spot that delivers great food and even better people, this is it. I walked out smiling and already planning my next visit.
google avatar

Cathy L.

Yelp
I really loved my experience here! Ample parking around -- it's downtown Pasadena so look for the closest parking garage! The setup is a little cramped. We were a party if 5 and two people had to sit side by side on a normal 4-seater table. But, it didn't feel too bad; make sure those ppl are slim tho. Service was amazing! Eleanor (I believe it was her name) is so lovely. She provided great recommendations for food and drinks, and was really attentive. Our glasses were never empty. Food was fantastic as well. I would not normally pick Italian. For reals, it's always last on my list. But I wanted to remain open minded and I'm glad I did! We had calamari, escargot, bread service to start. All Y U M. I love bread To eat, I got the spicy paccheri with the meat ball, my wife got the gnocchi, mom got the osso buco... you know, everything we got was pretty darn good. Dessert, we got the crème bruelee cheesecake and it was divine. The drinks!! I got their clarified margarita and it was hands down the best dang margarita I've had. So smooth. The grand mariner foam was a treat as well. Highly recommend. I didn't take ANY pics because I was so into this restaurant. My bad, but please trust me. This place hit the spot and I don't even like Italian. It was that good. It's a trek tho from OC!!

Yelp
Came here for a work dinner with 20+ people. Staff are very nice and catered to our drink needs. While everyone drank the wine, I asked for a Paloma which tasted more like a drink I'd get at sports bar (too much tequila). The food was also not up to par. I ordered the scallop truffle risotto off the special menu and the rice was undercooked and scallops were rubbery and overcooked. I was not satisfied with my dish and saw others had the same sentiment. The dessert was better but I'd only give it 4 stars. We ordered the chocolate trio, tiramisu, midnight fantasy and almond roca cake (not pictured). Unlike the food, the staff were very helpful and attentive to our large party's needs. Because of our size and the chaos I give them credit for attending to us. Overall I wouldn't recommend coming here if you like decent food, sorry!
google avatar

Jenny C.

Yelp
Service was top tier and the food is honestly really good. Highly recommend the calamari with the torre di tonno. The torro di tonno was slightly salty but the calamari balances it out really well. Lobster in the spaghetti aragosta is super tender and delicious but which the pasta was more flavorful. But still delicious nonetheless and the vongole was just delicious. Finishing with dessert with the velvet ganache... TOO DIE FOR. Not to sweet and the perfect amount of tart and cacao. I really recommend if you get a dessert try the velvet ganache, it is so addicting.

Yelp
Amazing , Amazing food the best italian good in Los Angeles, food out of this world, service amazing A must when visiting pasadena

Yelp
Walked in on a Wednesday night, place was pretty full, but we were a party of 2 and were seated right away. Food was delicious and portions were generous, wine list was good we had a bottle of Pino Noir with our meal, we did stay till closing and they did not rush us whatsoever. First time here and definitely not the last!

Yelp
When in Old Town Pasadena we make a point of treating ourselves to something yummy and Mi Piace did not disappoint! The ambiance was nice and cheery crowd watching from the inside. We love sitting outside too but they only have a few tables and they were taken. Very classy decor and definitely clean. I started with a dirty martini but they brought it dry so they brought the olive juice on the side.. came out really really well. We had the Bruchetta appetizer and it was really good. I just wish they served it with a few crostinis on the side. Can't forget their delicious bread with olive oil and balsamic glaze... yum! We both had the Spaghetti Aragosta and finished them to the last bite. It had plenty of lobster pieces with a small lobster tail.. I can almost taste again it was that good. We finished off with dessert and split a crème brûlée cheesecake and a vanilla latte What a perfect meal!
google avatar

Jenny J.

Yelp
Came when the sun was down, lighting was just right! Our Clasica pizza was delicious, the Greca salad was tasty as well! And the Chocolate soup was to die for!!! The owner came to our table and gave us a free Tiramisu to go ! Thanks a lot!

Yelp
My husband and I have been eating at this establishment for years. Almost every time we are there, the owner comes up to our table and asks us if are happy with the service and food. I think that is such a great touch. The owner is actually involved in his business and cares. Our server Nick was especially attentive tonight. Always great food and great ambiance
google avatar

Danica C.

Yelp
Some friends and I had a reservation for 7PM on a Saturday. The place was packed and there was definitely a lag in being seated. We checked in 15 minutes prior to our reservation but we're not seated until 7:45PM. I think the issue was that some folks were not getting up to leave after settling their bill. Aside from that hiccup our server was very kind and attentive. They checked in with us throughout the night and made sure we had everything we needed. My friends ordered margaritas and I had a gimlet. They said their margaritas were great. Unfortunately I can't say the same about my gimlet. If you're looking for a cocktail it's probably best to order from the menu or order something very basic. All of our food came out at the same time and we all really enjoyed our dishes.

Yelp
GREAT PLACE FOR ITALIAN IN OLD TOWN PASADENA ================================= I don't know about everyone else, but it's really difficult trying to find decent Italian food in Pasadena. Il Fornaio at One Colorado closed last year which was a bummer. So my husband and I went back to Mi Piace. The service is great which helps. Today we went for lunch and I made a reservation on Open Table. They had the Dine LA menu and we wanted to order chicken Parmesan which was on it, but not the other two courses for $45. Our waiter let us order that with a Caesar salad which hit the spot. We loved everything. My husband is a tiramisu snob and he likes their tiramisu. We will be back.

David L.

Yelp
Returned last night, and had the pleasure of meeting the Hostess, Victoria. She was so incredibly nice and accommodating! Our server was Jose M and we have had him before. He is great! He is very attentive and very helpful. I had the seafood risotto and it was delicious. Mi Piace never disappoints.

Yelp
This place is consistently one of the classiest places in LA, and as a girl who loves fine dining (even with budget issues), this place might be my favorite price point v delivery/taste in LA. Get the Purple Rain cocktail if you like Gin and Tonics! Don't skip on the Chefs Menu. Pasta is out of this world; can't get enough.

Yelp
Tl;dr: better than they have ever been. A few dollars more than years past due to rising costs for restaurants more than made up for by an overall superior experience. Service and food were top notch, not generic bad bistro or pub fare. Caesar salad was a unique and excellent take, simple dish like chicken scalopini plated beautifully and immaculate, fishermans stew not lacking seafood quality or quantity. Much, much higher end than in years past but not much, much more expensive. Worth going back if you haven't been in a while, or trying if wondering. Kitchen is solid, service professional yet warm. Was mediocre+ for a while, which is where my expectations were set at seating...blown out of the water how good everything was!!!

Yelp
Mi piace has been a staple in Pasadena for so long. I used to come here a lot in my college years and is so packed with nostalgia. We were here at 8:30PM on a weekday and were seated right away. We decided to sit outside and the ambiance was great. Ambient lighting with pedestrians walking by made it a great evening. Service was good but I did feel we were somewhat rushed through the ordering process which I was not a huge fan of. They have a really good wine selection including a large selection of single glass, half bottle and entire bottles. Calamari 4/5 - great flavor, fresh pieces of calamari. The chimichurri dipping sauce was delicious. The only thing is the breading was coming off of the calamari which made it a little difficult to eat but flavors are on point. Fettuccine Alfredo tartufo 10/5 - so good and the truffles hints throughout the pasta complements the pasta so well without taking over the dish. With truffle dishes this is actually difficult to do. Must add a protein to the pasta to take this to the next level. We went with chicken and it was perfect. Ravioli Al burro 4/5 - flavors are good but a tad too sweet for my taste. I've had this a union in Pasadena and they definitely had a better version. But good effort at the dish. I still thought it was delicious nonetheless. I've heard their tiramisu is amazing but we're too full for dessert. Will definitely have to try next time. Overall a great meal.

Yelp
We had a reservation at Mi Piace and after driving an hour, we had to wait 35 min. The only update we received after checking in was that our table will be ready shortly. I understand some wait time is to be expected even with a reservation, but 35 mins is unreasonable. Unfortunately, their customer service is not what it used to be as I was given an "ok" when asked to remove us from the waiting list.

Yelp
First timer here who passes this place all the time definitely regrets not trying this place sooner! First off, can I just say how wonderful it was to see the owner make his way around to each table thanking them for dining in, asked how their food was, and made sure you were happy with your experience. Definitely impressive. Especially because we were that last minute big dinner party that decided on a whim to try this place. Thank you again so much for accommodating us. Now let's get into the food. Presentation is key here and you know what, it was definitely a vibe. You can see the pride this restaurant takes in every detail of the dining experience. The portions are shareable, but let's be honest do we really want to share? Especially when it's homemade pasta?! To start, we had the Italian wedge salad and it is really good. Just make sure to ask for extra dressing if you prefer a lot of dressing on your salad. Next, I had the Fettuccine Alfredo Tartufo with shrimp (extra cost for shrimp). It was delicious and didn't send me into a foodie coma like most other Alfredo's. It had great flavor and each bite was delicious. I did try a few bites of the lasagna di carne, which is some of the best lasagna I've had. Definitely will be choosing that option next time. Thank you again for such a wonderful dining experience and for making our birthday dinner incredibly special. We will definitely be back!

Yelp
It is a beautiful restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. Pollo prezzemolo is my safe dish. It's five stars, for sure. Beef carpaccio (yum!) I can't remember what the beef ravioli was called, but it was also very good. It's a good appetizer, though. It won't fill you up. And the last time I was here, I had an incredible custom seafood risotto!!! Service is always wonderful. A favorite in the books.
