Absolutely love this place! Most authentic pasta in all of San Antonio! One of my friends is from France and has been to Italy a lot and when she tried this place, said it taste like it does in Italy. I’ve been here several times and every time everyone has loved what they’ve ordered. This is the only place I go to for pasta now. The service is on par and the owners are active in the restaurant and very nice people! I don’t have a picture of the cappuccino, but I normally get it when I go there and their coffee is amazing also. I do recommend making a reservation if you plan on visiting on the weekend or any evening. They book up quickly.

From the moment we walked in, we felt like part of the family. The warm, welcoming atmosphere made the evening feel special and comfortable at the same time. The staff was genuinely friendly, attentive, and clearly passionate about what they do. The food was absolutely outstanding. The scratch-made pasta was some of the best we’ve ever tasted—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced with sauces that tasted like they came straight from Italy. Every bite reminded us why authentic Italian cooking is truly an art. This is hands down the best Italian meal we’ve had in a long time. It’s the kind of restaurant that leaves you already planning your next visit before you’ve even left. Just make sure to book ahead—reservations are a must, and for good reason. Highly recommend to anyone looking for authentic Italian food with a true family touch.

Another one of our favorite San Antonio restaurants that we haven’t been to in a while. Pazzo’s Pastaria on Nagadoches is an off the beaten path Italian restaurant where they make their own pasta. It’s usually crowded and it was the night we went. This was probably the first and only time the food didn’t meet or exceed expectations. We had Fusilli Gargonzola with chicken, spaghetti carbonara, and penne alla Rustica. The Fusilli didn’t have has much pasta as usual and a lot of chicken and the carbonara wasn’t creamy and little watery. The penne alla Rustica was tasty as usual. The service was great, the atmosphere is nice considering what they have to work with. Even though this experience wasn’t what we were used to we’d recommend Pazzo’s, very nice owners and the food with freshly made pasta is normally very good.

Walked in not knowing what to expect. Found the best Italian restaurant it the area. Small dining room is beautifully laid out to make the experience feel super intimate. Everything is made fresh from scratch and it shows. Thank you so much!

LATEST VISIT: 10/25/25 PICTURED: Mixed mushroom strata (special), Gemilli alla Milano (regular menu item), Zabaglione (special) This is our fourth visit to Pazzo, and we are never disappointed - this visit was no exception. That strata … plated on top of Gruyère cream sauce with guanciale. This may be the only time I wasn’t missing a “main protein” with my dish - it wasn’t needed. The strata with mushrooms stands alone. My husband loved the gemilli pasta. And the zabaglione was decadent but light. Berries were a good balance to the sweetness of the custard. PREVIOUS VISIT: To say this place is good is an understatement. The Uptown Cluck is divine. The service is impeccable. Quaint. Comfortable. A different kind of Italian experience.

Google
Hands down, this has been the best pasta I’ve ever had aside from making my own. It is a truly fresh pasta, not frozen or pre made. It is phenomenally delicious with an excellent bite. The flavors in any of the dishes are true, hearty, authentic, and just incredibly delicious!!

Google
The freshest ingredients handled with love made just to order. We're in love. I had the lasagna bolognese, have mercy. Super generous portion, made for sharing but I'm not gonna. So happy to have found these folks, will return again and again.

Google
This isn’t a five-star chef spot or a place to propose — it’s simply a great place to eat. Cozy vibe, warm service, and food that tastes genuinely authentic. My Pasta Primavera was bright, fresh, herby, and perfectly spiced. My husband loved his Fettuccine Pescataro— spot-on seasoning. Since it was cooked from scratch , everything was customizable and they adjusted spiciness and seasoning. Italian cream soda were awesome!!! Not fancy, not pretentious — just really good Italian food that makes you want to come back. Vegan / vegetarian friendly.

Yelp
Have gone on multiple occasions and the food was absolutely amazing. Each time my husband and ai have tried something different, and each time it was beyond what we expected. The service has been great. The owner/manager lady has always been the absolute best. Her wonderful attitude and personality has truly had us feel very welcome since our very first visit. Even one time I stopped by not knowing that they didn't sell bread or anything to go, but she was so kind as to let me have some bread fresh out of the oven. She went above and beyond, so we make sure to go back as often as possible. It was a little hot in the restaurant the last time we were there, but it's always a very welcome and peaceful environment. Highly recommend!!!

Yelp
Lunch is from 11-5 pm!! Lunch specials start at $10 includes soup or salad AND fettuccine Alfredo it spaghetti marinara. $15 has pastas with protein in them. You can add proteins for an up charge. Shelby was wonderful and the owner comes table side to greet you. Impressed with a beyond 3pm lunch cutoff. Take advantage!! I rushed everyone thinking lunch was going to be unavailable. Sweet service and delicious food.

Yelp
we dined in this evening, we made a reservation as it was suggested online. We were greeted by the hostess and seated right away. This is a small but lovely restaurant, mom and Pop Italian restaurant. We ordered the Autumn Crostini to start, and it was very good and flavorful with mushrooms, blistered tomatoes, fresh ingredients. Next, we had a Caesar salad that was very flavorful, beautiful, green lettuce, and Housemade dressing for dinner. I ordered the chicken Diablo, which consisted of chicken, shrimp, vegetable. My dish had a kick, but it was very good just the right amount of spice and the vegetables tasted fantastic. I can't wait to dine in here and try something different everyone at our table enjoyed their dishes, and the service was great! yummy!

Yelp
From the moment we pulled up to the windows twinkling with lights framed around shear curtains to walking inside, this was a very nice welcome. Owner and staff were attentive and sat us immediately. Our waiter was great, quick to greet us and get drinks going....and he had recommendations from both the specials board and the menu. We went with 2 of the recommendations but we were not disappointed with anything that came our way. He checked back often, made sure we didn't need or want anything, and also was taking care of his other customers. Truly great staff. The food was delicious and we cannot wait to go back and try other goodies. Do not forget to head to the Pazzo market and deli a couple of doors down from the pastaria to see if you want to take home any goodies from there.

Yelp
Absolutely everything from the food to the service to the ambience of this restaurant will have you begging to come back for more!

Yelp
First time at Pazzo Pastaria...meeting my family for lunch. Pazzzo appears to be a neighborhood restaurant with a warm and welcoming feel. They have a lunch menu, which is reasonably priced. It feels like your at home in your mom's kitchen. Our server Shelly highlighted a few popular dishes and ones like chicken Parmesan and Eggplant Parmesan that can only be ordered at lunch. We ordered the spaghetti bolognese, chicken Parmesan, lasagna bolegnase and chicken piccata bowl. The owner visited our table to inquire about our meals. In unison we said delicious! All their pastas and dishes are made from scratch. The spaghetti was a bit larger than the standard sphaghetti but tasted very fresh. Paz'zo Pastaria was a hit for us!

Christi C.

Yelp
Oh my goodness!! This place was amazing! We showed up on a Friday night and the small building was packed. Thankfully, there was one open seat, so we were seated right away. We ordered the eggplant tower. So much rich and delicious flavor! I ordered the lasagna and my husband thr ravioli. Both totally flavor filled. We also got a cup of their delicious coffees and finished it off with a Pazzocake. I cannot say enough good things about the whole experience. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful in describing the dishes we inquired about. The place was simple and clean. It is a little pricey, but I don't mind if the food is good and it was worth it to us.

Mark L.

Yelp
I don't give 5 star reviews typically and there were a few things that I could nit pick, but the food made up for everything. Everything here is scratch made and it tastes like it! Homemade breads, pasta, and sauces, wow! This was a small quaint place with a good family atmosphere feel. The server was good and attentive although they do fall behind. Make a reservation, we had to wait 15 minutes even with a reservation, well worth it. Don't let the area fool you it's in a strip center off Nacogdoches, but this is culinary food, none like I've had since Boston.

Yelp
A++ on everything! Met another couple for dinner on a Wednesday night. MADE RESERVATIONS- yes, even on a Wednesday. This place fills UP! We sat in a cozy corner where we could enjoy our evening with friends. Our server was amazing. (I feel bad that I cannot remember her name! ) She made fabulous wine & dinner suggestions- and was so knowledgable on the entire menu. Attentiveness was on point. Everything we ate was delicious! All pastas are made fresh to order and WOW does that make a difference! Appetizers-Calamari with delicious dipping sauce, and Spin/Artichoke dip. Lasagna- huuge! And our friend really enjoyed his Chicken Parm. Husband really enjoyed his Buccatini con Salsiccia (+sausage & red pepper..) Excellent! We'll be back again!

Yelp
Food was amazing! Such a cute little spot, family owned. We had the arancini which was great, a little less crispy than I'm used to but delightful. Then we split the gemelli Milano and the chicken parm. I asked for the chicken parm to be spicy and the waitress said the chef loves to make the food extra spicy, which ended up being amazing! Finally finished off with a tiramisu which was a nice large serving, however we were just so full by that point. Definitely check this place out! Service was slow but it was such a calm dinner we had no issues
google avatar

Yelp
Food was scrumptious! We went at lunch time, so I wasn't able to try the calamari which I was super bummed about but I'll definitely be back for dinner! And next time, I won't make the mistake of getting the small bowl of pasta either LOL. The price was definitely affordable considering the quality of the food! The noodles are so delicious! My partner got the gemilli alla Milano & it was to die for!!! Service was fine. I appreciated the owner/manager(?) coming by to see how we were enjoying our meal. The place is quaint, dimmed lighting, and romantic for a causal date night with exceptional food!

Yelp
Amazing restaurant, came from out of state and all the food was absolutely delicious. As well as the service was incredible! Great find!

Yelp
Everything is 5 stars, starting with the food quality and menu options. Italian sodas were very good. A surprisingly memorable Italian dinner experience at a small strip mall shopping area. A true gem.
google avatar

Tyler C.

Yelp
Highly recommended fresh pasta and Italian fare with wine, beer, house made coffee/espresso/ and Italian soda service. We had the incredible calamari that was fried perfectly with lemon and fried peppers, rich risotto and sautéed spinach, then the Toscana and chicken Parm. Fresh made pasta makes a big difference. It's cooked al dente and is chewier than what you might be used to but man is it PERFECT. Would highly recommend you call ahead, this place is packed fast and has a cozy atmosphere. Outstanding.

Yelp
Another great meal at Pazzo Pastaria. Lauren took great care of us this evening. They have a very nice wine list. I like that the pasta dishes come in small and large sizes. Homemade pasta is best eaten right after being cooked perfectly al dente. My wife started with the Feature Salad, which included pine nuts, cheese, pears, and greens. I had the small Caesar salad. Both salads were tasty with just the right amount of dressing. My wife's entree was the Uptown Cluck and it was huge. You need a big appetite for what they are throwing down. Crispy chicken breast, aged prosciutto, fontina cheese, whole grain Dijon white wine cream sauce with buttered fettuccine, roasted mushrooms and fresh green beans. The crust on the chicken was perfectly cooked and chicken inside was hot, tender, and flavorful. I had the Gemelli alla Milano which was Sliced chicken, roasted cremini mushrooms, sun dried tomatoes, fresh basil, roasted garlic cream sauce, Romano cheese, fresh gemelli pasta. Very good and the small was enough to fill me up.

Yelp
Wow what a great experience. My mother came to visit from out of state and she loves Italian food. I had been told about this restaurant and thought she might want to try it. All I can saw was that we were blown away. The service was amazing. Who I believe was the owner even took the time to show my nieces the pasta maker. We had recently made homemade pasta on my kitchen aid pasta maker so they were excited to see a commercial pasta maker. Then the food came out and WOW everything our table of 9 ordered was amazing. We ordered appetizers, salads, pastas, chicken parm, chicken Diablo, ravioli and then several deserts. It was all top notch. Wish I took pictures to share but we didn't as we decided to enjoy the food. I'd come back to this establishment and plan to bring more friends and family. Thanks for a midweek dinner out with the family!!!

Yelp
We were so happy to find this amazing restaurant. It is nestled in a shopping center and there is ample parking. As soon as we entered, we were greeted and seated promptly. The menu was very varied, with different options. Our server brought bread and a nice dipping oil. The wine menu is very diverse too. The chicken was very moist and tender. The lemon sauce was also very well balanced with the other items on the plate. My husband said that the food reminded him of being invited to dinner at his Italian neighbor's house as a kid. We will definitely add this to our dinner rotations. Thank you!
google avatar

Alex G.

Yelp
Everything was great, cannot recommend enough. Service was the perfect level of attentive and very very nice. The atmosphere was also fantastic for a night out. We started with the autumn crostini and the garlic, mushrooms and tomato were cooked perfectly. I had lasagna bolognese and my girlfriend had the primavera. So so good. You can tell everything is made from scratch in house. I also got the sparkling strawberry lemonade and it was perfectly sweet. No complaints on the coffee afterwards (although I do wish they had alternative milks for them but after eating lasagna I'm not in a spot to be worried about lactose lol)

Yelp
The food was fresh and tasted authentic. The service was great and ambience was good. The outside doesn't look too good. But i promise you won't regret it.

Yelp
Unique Italian Food! You wouldn't expect walking up to establishment. Enter the door, sit, and be transformed. Excellent foods, drink and exceptional service! Enjoy!

Jessica D.

Yelp
My brother Eric who recently posted a review as well recommended this restaurant as a place for us to take our mother visiting from out of state. I will say our experience surpassed the reviews. We were a table of 9 with 3 children. Which can be chaotic to begin with but they were able to accommodate us and our requests! They made kid friendly recommendations. And the adults were also pleased with all our selections! We ordered several appetizers mussels, crostinis, and salads to name a few, all delish! We tried a wide variety of their main pastas/dishes from the chicken Parmesan, ravioli, chicken Diablo and penne rústico to name a Few. Followed by 3 delicious desserts the pana cotta, churros , and the limoncello dessert. I only took a few photos. But the ones that mattered the most to us where how the owner took some time to show our very inquisitive young chefs their pasta making machines and the different types of pasta. I would 100% recommend this restaurant and I have no doubt we will be back again! Especially as our kids loved it!

Yelp
Stopped at our favorite Italian place on a random Tuesday - fortunately they were able to seat us!! Super fresh Ceasar salad and their fabulous bread with herbed olive oils as starters. Many choices of lovely beverages. Hubby went with a very nice and hearty Rustico - including house-made sausage that was super flavorful. I went with the gorgonzola pasta - one of my very favorites! Portions are generous and of course we both went with large so we could have leftovers for tomorrow. Stuffed but still shared the flourless chocolate torte. Ginny and all her staff were friendly and efficient. Amazing cleanliness. Love the fresh flowers in the gender-neutral bathroom. If you have not been to Pazzo Pastaria you are missing out! Great for a special celebration, a family dinner, date night or "just because"! Truly the BEST of many Italian restaurants in this city of foodies.

Andy V.

Yelp
Went for dinner tonight to celebrate a birthday. We had mista salad, Caesar salad, eggplant parm and chicken marsala. Limoncello tiramisu for dessert. Everything was delicious. Dante our waiter and the whole staff and owners were attentive and friendly. This place reminded me of Little Italy in NY. I suggest making reservations and glad we did.
google avatar

Yelp
Delicious food everything made in house Best Italian I've had by far! Service was excellent Shelby was so attentive and friendly. This place is a hidden gem
google avatar

Mimi W.

Yelp
There is a parking lot but there are other great businesses (bakery, salon, other restaurants) at the same center and I think I counted less than ten open parking spots left. They were busy and it smelled fantastic when I went inside. Unfortunately they were so packed and busy and I couldn't eat there but I did get to order Togo. It took about 20 minutes and I didn't see an espresso machine. I am excited to try it next time I visit. We order a ton of food! I had two appetizers and we ate it all. Everyone loved the spinach artichoke dip. The noodles are hand made. It is so good and the sauce is tasty! The large size is super large! I think I should have only ordered a small but leftovers are fantastic. We ordered the fettuccine Alfredo, pappardelle bolognese, gemeli allá pesto. They do not do a carbonara Togo. I have already made a list of what I want to eat next time.
google avatar

Yelp
SUCH GOOD FOOD!! so fresh, comes out hot and tastes amazing. service is spectacular and such a small and cute restaurant. the one thing that was disappointing is they reserved the table after us and asked us to leave an about hour after we sat down. they did tell us when we sat down but we weren't expecting to be asked to wrap it up super fast. i would definitely go back but not at a big time so we can enjoy the meal without feeling rushed.
google avatar

Yelp
Alright! This has got to be the best Italian restaurant I've been to....ever! The pasta is home made and the the dishes were so tasty. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The place was clean and cozy. But more to the point... the food was awesome and really put Paesanos to shame. I know I look forward to going back to try their other dishes. Cheers Pazzo... thanks for making my rough day into a pleasant evening.

Sue O.

Yelp
Located in a nondescript strip center, this gem of a restaurant shines! The inside is quaint, cozy & a bit boisterous. The food & service deserve more than 5 stars. The four of us loved everything we ordered: goat cheese crostini, Caesar salad, Penne alla Rustica, Spaghetti Carbonara, Bucatini con Salsiccia, & Fusilli Gorgonzola. Even though we were stuffed, we couldn't pass up a piece of the Limoncello tiramisu to share. It was also to die for! Our server Shelby was very friendly, helpful, & attentive, & the owner checked on us & all the other tables. Everything was wonderful, & we're looking forward to returning soon!

Yelp
This place is amazing! The pasta is fresh, and they have lunch specials on Saturday. The service was great the atmosphere was OK, it is not a fancy place.

Jolee F.

Yelp
The goat cheese appetizer with fig preserves was so dang good! Garlic potato soup was exceptional as well! Service was outstanding. I brought home my Gorgonzola pasta and may have turned my daughter into a blue cheese fan!!

Marja F.

Yelp
My best friend was craving Italian, so I hopped on Yelp to find a new spot--and I'm so glad I did. We came across this place and were absolutely blown away by the entire experience. From the warm greeting at the door to the attentive service, everything was top notch. And the food? Nothing short of incredible. Every bite was a reminder of why I love Italian cuisine. This place has officially become my new favorite. Just a heads-up: if you're planning to come on the weekend, definitely make a reservation--it gets busy, and for good reason!

Yelp
Six stars. The really is a hidden gem, and I am so glad that I tried this restaurant. I made reservations become it was recommended. It can fill up quickly. It is a small, quaint, and quality Italian restaurant. They make the pasta fresh!!! The prices are very reasonable and the portions are more than satisfying. Our waitress Lauren was top-notch. Her recommendations were spot on. had the bread, artichoke soup, speindi, gemili milano, and the uptown cluck and Panna Cotta. You can taste the love in the food. The garlic cream sauce was so rich and full of depth. The uptown cluck was fried to perfection, and the sauce complimented the chicken so well. It was a wonderful treat to end a very stressful week. I can't wait to come back.

Yelp
We were hungry and in search of finding a new Italian restaurant. We found this small mom & pop restaurant in our area. My husband researched and made sure it had good reviews so we tried it. Signed in and our wait began. An hour later no call but I saw a woman run out to look for someone so we went inside to meet her and she sat us finally! The place had a romantic and intimate ambiance, little lights shining everywhere. Except I couldn't see the menu too good in what seemed to look stained from food. We ordered our food. I asked for a strawberry lemonade that said on the menu only one refill was allowed. I asked mine with little to no ice and she wanted to know why I didn't want no ice?! As if it were an inconvenience. I ordered the eggplant ...then my daughter asked for the meatballs on the side with the marinara sauce and again like it was an inconvenience!? My husband asked for the Gamberi a la Vesuvius & my son the chicken Alfredo. When we got our meals everything looked great and they gave us some parmesan with it. Eggplant was really good but only 3 pieces with some tasty garlic spaghetti that tasted so good, blending the flavors so well! My son & daughter had good experiences with their plates but my husband said his plate was not at all spicy like it said it would be and shrimp was rubbery...for the wait, the price and no strawberry lemonade refill we weren't impressed. Maybe we came on an off day, I really wanted to like this place, I'll have to try it again at a later date.

Yelp
Buon Appetito! Great Italian food & truly unique cocktails. Loved it! !!! Must go list

Yelp
Absolutely a hidden gem of a restaurant. Located at the end of a small strip center, this seemingly secret Italian venue was a joyous surprise. From the time we walked in, the staff was friendly and welcoming. In general, the dining room was small-ish, but the number of tables satisfied the room and the decor felt like home. We even had the owners stop by to welcome us and ask if we needed anything at all. From the beginning, our server made himself available and took our order of drinks. As we were waiting for others in our party, we ordered the calamari appetizer. Having had my share of fried squid over the years, this offering was absolutely tender and delicious... and a large serving as well - the best I've had in years. The menu is a good size, neither too big nor small. Based on some positive reviews, I ordered the Chicken Picatta. I was honestly blown away. The lemon-butter covered chicken was perfectly tender, and it was accompanied by some of the best in-house made pasta I've had as well. There was a healthy portion of veggies that filled the plate and the friendly portion of artichokes satisfied my pallet. I would definitely order it again. Upon closing the meal with friends, we ordered a couple orders of the panna cota, which was a refreshing mouthful of flavor. Based on the meal we had that also included a couple glasses of wine, it was VERY well priced. Considering the masterful meal from the kitchen and the very welcoming service we had, this made our experience no less than 5 stars. I can't wait to come back!

Yelp
Delicious every time! Great service and fresh food as always. Everything is made from scratch; the bread, the Caesar dressing, the pastas and sauces! Yum

Tylar M.

Yelp
We went for Valentine's weekend, and what a great decision that was! The place gets busy, so I definitely recommend making a reservation ahead of time. It has cozy welcoming family feel the moment you walk in. We arrived a bit early and were seated right away with a smile. Our server, Chris, was fantastic--attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was perfect throughout our meal. Now, the food... absolutely delicious! I ordered an off-the-menu dish with salmon, white sauce, lemon, capers, and red onions. The noodles were made fresh in-house and honestly might be the best I've ever had in San Antonio. For a moment, I felt like I was back in Italy! My husband had the lasagna--which I assume was amazing since he didn't offer to share a single bite! It's a bit of a drive for us, but so worth it. We'll definitely be back, and we're already recommending it to friends and family!
google avatar

Parker S.

Yelp
Friendly people! We arrived earlier than our reservation and they accommodated us anyway. Nice wine selection, the food was great, and pricing was very reasonable. Their entire staff exuded a welcomed, positive energy.

Cathy R.

Yelp
Everything was amazing. Server Dante was informative and attentive. Owner checked on me a couple times with a warm friendly smile. Chicken picata was a large chicken breast with perfectly cooked, garlicky, homemade spaghetti noodles, veggies were seasoned well and cooked perfectly. Calamari was nice and crispy, they were good, but not the best I have ever had. The tiramisu was a delicious huge piece, about 5" x 5", by far, the biggest piece I have seen. All in all, I would highly recommend this Italian Restaurant and will revisit before I head back home.

Sharon H E.

Yelp
EVERYTHING was amazing. Even pasta was made in-house. Romantic atmosphere. Great wine list. Dessert was out of this world. If you're looking for authentic Italian, this is your place.
google avatar

Brooklyn C.

Yelp
This is by far the best Italian food I've ever had in my life! When you walk in, it's like walking into an Italian sitcom with the owner greeting you with a smile and treating you as family. Everything is made in house from scratch. Our server, Katie, was also a true gem. I will be back! I need to try everything on the menu.

Yelp
We headed to @pazzopastaria for dinner tonight. Busy night and full house! It's part of the San Antonio Gold Diner Program! Complimentary bread and dip was fabulous! I probably ate too much foccacia! I had the Black Ridge Merlot, Dad and hubby had the Blueberry Lemonade. We started with the Autumn Crostini and Roman Wedgie. Huge portions of food! Dad and hubby shared the Lasagna. I had the Gamelli al Pesto. We brought lots of food home. With the Gold Program, we had free dessert for getting 2 entrées. We had the Orange Cake. Will have to go back to try the Limoncello Tiramisu! Yelp
AMAZING! 10/10 The food was so good! The fettuccine Alfredo was so rich and creamy! Seriously the best I've ever tasted! The Panna Cotta was so delicious, it literally melts in your mouth! Will definitely be coming back!
google avatar

Eugene L.

Yelp
I came here wanting lasagna but the waitress told me that they were out so I ordered spaghetti and meatballs. The pasta was cooked to my liking, al dente, the way pasta is supposed to be made and they are generous with the meatballs. Pazzo gives you 4 while other Italian restaurants give you 2. For dessert, I had ordered panna cotta with blueberries which I liked. The free bread was good and the service was excellent. The manager or owner even came by my table and asked how I liked everything. I'm definitely coming back!

Alice H.

Yelp
We had a great experience tonight! Lauren was our server and she was so sweet. We ordered the calamari, lasagna, and pappardelle- all were excellent! Be sure to make reservations!! I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely return.

Yelp
Really enjoyed this local spot. The ambiance to me is casual, yet still romantic. Great for a date night. They aren't too big but in this case it's better for that imitate feel. All the service received was extraordinary from the moment we walked in. Our server was really attentive and answered all our questions. Th food was like a taste of Italy in your mouth! One thing to note is their pasta is al dente which means you may fell a bit firm to you but again, this the Italian way. This is not your big chain OG, there is no comparison. I got the lasagna Bolognese and my husband got the spaghetti and meatballs. The food was delicious! My two year old is a bit picky and that day was all about the food. The lasagna did not taste like it had too much tomato. It was just right! The size on my picture is a small and it was enough for me. My husband ordered the large size spaghetti and meatballs. The meatballs were so tender and not heavy. I couldn't believe it. Oh they also bring your table some bread and olive oil, it was freshly baked so yummy! They also made some wine suggestions on what would pair best with our food. Great choice! For dessert we had Italian churros and they were so soft. They just melt in your mouth. At the end we had a little accident and the staff was so nice and helped clean up our mess. What can you say when you dine with kids. This place is hidden but I've been recommending it to friends. If you want some authentic Italian food you must stop here and support local! Buon Appetito!

Yelp
The food was great, and the service was very good. It was very noisy due to the full restaurant and an obvious number of regular patrons who chatted with the staff. We will definitely go again, but at a less "prime time" in hopes that the pace will be a little slower, and the volume a little lower. We love that it is a privately owned and run restaurant. They do a very good job ...

Yelp
This place deserves more than 5 stars. From the warm greeting to opening the door and seeing us out, it couldn't have been a more pleasurable experience. Our waitress was delightful, going above and beyond, taking her time answering our questions and making suggestions and being genuinely eager to help us newbies. Even the chef stopped by for a chat. All that being said, the restaurant is small but elegantly quaint. The food is the best Italian food I've ever had in San Antonio. Don't let the location fool you. Reservation are recommended.
