"We’re not really sure what corporate event planners did before Topgolf. Sticking a bunch of suits in a golf bay with food and drinks seems like an easy no-brainer and a win over the goat yoga retreat in Serenbe that the HR team has been pushing for years. With everything from a full-service bar and trendy cocktails to breakfast and kids meals, the three-level, 65,000-square-foot Upper Westside venue (there are three metro locations) has something for everyone. And the temperature-controlled outdoor bays provide a fun, year-round escape for some fresh air and an acceptable excuse to hit things with metal clubs. The food delivers a few wins too—we like the fried mac and cheese bites and the steak nachos that come paired with a commendable chimichurri sauce. "Top Golf on Ellsworth Industrial is more than simply a driving range, it’s a full-blown bar and restaurant built for players of every skill level interested in whacking a few golf balls down the electronically monitored links. Monitors measure distance and keep score. It’s a fun way to spend a day or evening with friends.
