It was an absolute delight staying at Park Hyatt Istanbul - Macka Palas. The room and whole site is just incredible. The rooms are spacious with a top class bathroom consisting of a steam room, shower and a bath tub. Although the highlight of my stay was the service the Park Hyatt team provided. We were celebrating my partners birthday and the staff went above and beyond in helping me plan a surprise and accommodated our requests. I can’t thank Arzu and team enough, thank you so much for making this trip such a memorable experience!!

From the amazing, professional yet humble GM Erhan with his elite & expert hospitality, the fantadtic Senol from concierge, housekeeping and everyone in between, best service hands down I've ever experienced in Turkey. ||The moment we checked in to the very end check out, the service was seamless and exceptional and could not highly recommend this hotel and its staff enough. ||The gym is super clean and has everything you need to get a great workout.||The breakfast crew made my kids, wife and I all feel welcome every morning. The talented gozleme lady greets you with a radiant smile and she genuinely looks like she enjoys serving her amazing and very delicious gozleme. ||3 x great restaurants in Kalimera, Nusret and Ciprianis. We did Nusret burgers which was nice and Cirprianis, although pricey, the food was exceptional.||The location of the hotel is perfect with all the high end retails walking distance. ||My new favourite hotel in Istanbul and perhaps all of Turkey.

This was one of the best hotel experiences we have had, and we have traveled extensively all over the world. The gentleman at the front desk, Ata Gurpinar, was most welcoming and very helpful in explaining details about our stay. He even escorted us to our room and explained how everything worked. Next we went to the Greek restaurant and had a wonderful meal and the maitre d’ was very helpful explaining the various dishes. The grilled sea bass was the best we have had in Turkey. As we were leaving the hotel for the airport the General Manager, Ethan Yurtsever, engaged us in a delightful conversation. We just can’t say enough good about this hotel. We hope to come back to Istanbul to stay here again!!!!

We had an exceptional stay at this hotel! The staff were incredibly professional, welcoming, and respectful. From the moment we checked in with Mustafa, to the last person who helped with our luggage, every interaction was top-notch. It’s definitely worth the extra expense for the amazing experience, location, and the wonderful people. Don’t miss out on this place!

My family descends from the area in Istanbul and at one point resided in the apartment building now turned into an upscale hotel. So Macka Palas Hotel holds a near and dear place in my heart as an Istanbulite. Arzu hanım and Leyla hanım welcomed me with open arms and provided royal treatment. I took a chance and drove up to the hotel and hadn’t made reservations in advance. They upgraded my room to a suite with steam room and bath resembling a Turkish bath. On top, they provided a price reduction that made my longer stay more affordable. Each and every staff person epitomized Turkish hospitality, grace, courtesy and professionalism. I absolutely loved every aspect of my stay here. The rooms are fully equipped and incredibly welcoming and comfortable. The house keeping maintains impeccable cleanliness and frequently replenishes toiletries, towels and snacks. The breakfast service was by far one of the best I have experienced situated within a beautifully preserved dining area which maintains the historical and architectural history of the structure. They even have a Turkish lady making fresh gözleme or crepes during breakfast. I tried most of the fine dining and loved the kappucino area. They served perhaps the best quality coffee and desserts I have savored. Their Cipriani beats the one in New York City hands down in terms of food quality, ambience and high end patrons. The hotel is located within one of the most upscale neighborhoods in Istanbul which is Macka and Nişantasi. I never got bored for one moment and could comfortably walk around late at night. The stores are upscale and put London and New York to shame honestly. Nişantaşı, Zorlu Center, İstinye Park and other high end shopping malls have surpassed New York, Paris, London and Milan in luxury goods. My neck had whiplash from window shopping. The jewelry stores were phenomenal even if one could dream of purchasing these spectacular items. It was within walking distance of major sites, museums, the Kabataş port providing ferry service to Princes Islands, and Galataport. It’s a short distance from Sultan Ahmet and the scenic shore towards more upscale areas like Bebek and Tarabya laden with wonderful cafes, shops and seafood restaurants. Staying at Macka Palas wasn’t simply a place to rest my head and store luggage. Macka Palas was an ethereal experience, upholding excellence, high quality and tradition. My stay at Macka made traveling and visiting Istanbul again an amazing experience I will never forget. I will definitely be returning and staying here again.

We only spent one night, but it was enough to have an amazing experience! The location is great, many restaurants & nice shops close by. The room was big, bed was cozy and we had a sauna in the bathroom for the Turkish Bath! The reception staff extremely polite & professional! We booked a Turkish Bath at the spa and loved it!

One of the finest hotels in the world in one of the most beautiful cities full stop. If you're lucky enough to be staying here, be sure to opt for the VIP airport pickup. It sounds like overkill but you'll be treated like a diplomat and be on your way to this majestic property in 20 minutes flat (including customs). My father and I ended up spending a magical week together in Istanbul after my mother had to drop out due to unforseen circumstances. I wrote to the hotel about the circumstances and I cannot be sure if it played a role in the suite we were assigned but it was among the most extravagant and beautiful suites I've ever stayed. The images should speak for themselves yet the cherry wood finishes and the in room steam, giant rain shower and jacuzzi were highlights (along with the large balcony replete with breathtaking views of the Bospherous and broader city). The service at this hotel is in a league of its own. We were treated like royalty during our stay. If you're a fitness buff then you're in luck. This hotel is owned by a famous soccer player and he hand picked the single best gym I've ever been to. The spa is another haven where Dewi (that is her name I believe) gave me a massage I shall never forget. I would be most appreciative if management were to contact me so that I could share what a uniquely valuable experience I had with her. I have had the good fortune to enjoy many spas renown for being amongst the finest in the world; The Dolder in Zürich, the Aman Giri in Utah and the Royal Malewane in Kruger National Park South Africa. The master masseur is an artist the same as any other; yet their occasionally brilliant works happen in quiet rooms usually with just one person. I've now had 5 "supreme massages." That is to say the masseuse, the ambiance, the experience was transcendent. It takes a profound physical intuition and sensitive somatic athleticism to leave someone in a glorit trance. Dewi combined Thai and Swedish technique to perfection. She should be in a leadership position. After the gym and massage using the steam and "ice fountain" gave one a sense of being on cloud nine. The hotel itself isn't imposing. It's nearly quaint but I urge travelers to spring for the 8th floor suites because the difference between floor 7 and 8 is a 10/10. I will never forget this special trip with my father. I had been to Istanbul in 2013 and I must say it's as if the whole city has been guilded over the last decade. The restaurants at the hotel are phenomenal including Cipriani's and some excellent Greek food. In relation to location and exclusivity for the price this has to be the best hotel in Istanbul.

Google
I visited the hotel for a work-related event and was really impressed. The place is elegant, beautifully designed, and located in one of the nicest areas of Istanbul. The atmosphere is calm and refined, and the staff seemed very professional. It’s clearly a luxury hotel, and while the rates might be on the higher side, the overall ambiance and quality definitely reflect that level.

Yelp
Loved staying at Park Hyatt Istanbul! Pure luxury...after traveling the whole country for 2 weeks coming here was a icing on the cake. My favorite part of the room was the bathroom. Such a nice soaking tub with cool lights. Also enjoyed the nespresso machine. Buffet breakfast was awesome and was by far the most expensive we had on are whole trip. Okay to do it once I guess but I wouldn't buy it more than one day!

Yelp
I returned (3rd time, I believe) to the Hyatt Macka Palas Istanbul in March - for 2 separate stays. One for work and the second for some vacation time. The location is amazing, the staff super friendly and attentive. Thanks to Arzu Yigin and the Macka Palas team for making both work and vacation a real pleasure. Also a special thanks to Moussa, whose dinner and wine recommendations and overall friendliness were very much appreciated!

Yelp
The Park Hyatt Istanbul is located in Macka Palas. We used Uber from the airport, which took nearly an hour at a cost of 100 TRY (~$35 USD). The lobby is beautifully decorated and gorgeous. The space is very inviting even though it is carries the minimalist Park Hyatt design. Check-in was very smooth and we were checked in by one of the managers. Somewhere in my profile it was noted that my wife I like candles, and was given one specifically made for the Park Hyatt Istanbul by Blaise Maitin. This was way above and beyond expectation, especially since we had never stayed at the Park Hyatt Istanbul before. Next to the elevator is a small library. We were escorted to our room and was led down a long hallway. We were given a Terrace Suite King, as I had applied a suite upgrade to the reservation. Upon entering the room, there is a long L-shaped hallway leading to the room. The bathroom is located to the left and is an absolute stunning area. The bathroom floor can also be heated to make things more comfortable on cold days. There is a single sink when you first turn into the bathroom. Counter space is somewhat limited. The unique feature about the room is that there is a separate faucet that dispenses drinking water. Blaise Mautin products are proudly displayed. The shower area is a very large space, which combines a large tub with an open shower area next to it. Also located next to the tub is an ablution sink. The main feature of the bathroom is the sauna, which took about 15 minutes to heat up. The toilet also has a bidet, with a small sink as well. Exiting the bathroom is the closet area, which is spacious. There is also a small dresser in the area. Separating the closet area, to the rest of the room is a dresser/mini bar. The mini bar contents included several bottles of alcohol and snacks. The desk was on the smaller side, but there was enough working space for most people. A welcome amenity was also in the room, which a bowl of fruit and plate of cookies. Next to the desk, was a comfortable chair. The bed was very comfortable, with plenty of space around the bed in which to maneuver. Breakfast was served in the lobby restaurant, which is on the cozy side as there are only about 10 tables. In the two days of our stay, we only saw one other table occupied. Breakfast consists of a small, but high quality buffet. In addition, you can order an entrée from the menu. Service throughout our stay was exceptional. The staff was extremely friendly and greeted us whenever we entered or exited the property. I would definitely stay here again the next time I find myself in Istanbul.

Yelp
Easily the best experience I have ever had at any hotel anywhere! The staff here at Park Hyatt have good service down to a science! I stayed on multiple dates over my summer vacation and every time I've stayed here, I've been treated like royalty. From the host, bell service, check-in, room service, and housekeeping, everyone does their job impeccably. Every time I return to the hotel, I am always welcomed with a thoughtful letter from the hotel with Turkish delights and fruit. It's a nice touch and the little details that makes a big difference for me. I was upgraded to a spa suite throughout my stays here, which has an actual hamam-esque facility in it like the traditional marble basin with pedestal, a large soaking tub with TV and a steam room. I received the in-room hamam massage, as recommended by the hotel staff, and it was probably one of the best massages I've ever had. I think I had every kink in my back rolled out and it felt fantastic! The view from the room was awesome, too. I could see the Bosphorus and the famous lighted bridge from my room, which was also a nice perk! The hotel itself is clean, contemporary and conveniently located in a very nice part of town. Plenty of high end retail shops like Hermès and Chanel are steps away from the hotel grounds and they have a sweet infinity pool and bar on the second floor. The breakfast is delicious and when I had to leave early, they packed it for me to go. Too cool! Oh and they offer free Wi-Fi, too! All in all an unforgettable stay at the Park Hyatt Maçka Palas and highly recommended!

Yelp
I definitely want to come back - to Istanbul and to this hotel. It is not the best location for seeing the ancient sights of Istanbul, and it is a bit pricey (thus the 4 starts vs. 5) but the rooms are very nice, the service was great, and the location is surrounded by plenty of places to eat and some decent nightlife. I was upgraded to a "Spa King" on the 6th floor. It was a quite large room with a separate desk and sitting area, a large "bathroom" section with separate sink area, toilet/bidet room, and a large bathing area with an open shower, large stand-alone bathtub, and a dry/steam sauna - and the whole area had heated floors. It was a well decorated room with a very comfortable bed, quality photographs of Istanbul, comfortable furniture, and nice sheers over the french door style windows which hid the blackout blinds operated with a switch by the bed. They even gave me a complementary bottle of turkish wine and some fruit (it pays to have significant status with a specific hotel chain). It is a small "boutique" Hyatt with only 90 rooms. So they don't have all the amenities a large hotel would have (Regency Club, etc.), but they make up for it by providing a nice breakfast and excellent service. The clientele is definitely more "upper crust" than what you would find at the local hotels, so don't expect a lively crowd in the lobby bar in the evening. And the wine/drink prices will send the non-guests to the local places around the hotel. And to get to the tourist sights, you basically walk down the hill and catch the tram. Simple enough and there are a couple of interesting routes to take. The walk back is a bit tough (up the hill quite a ways), so a taxi may be required. Overall a very nice experience

Yelp
What a fabulous find in the best part of Istanbul. This is a beautiful property and the rooms are luxurious and spacious. We had the spa room with Hamam. What a treat! Great walking to lots of shops and restaurants and just a quick cab ride to any tourist areas. We felt very safe and would stay here on future visits. -- Additionally, we had an amazing room service and great breakfast buffet. The staff couldn't be more genuine. Just a great experience that we are still talking about. Five Stars all the way!

Yelp
This is hands down my favorite Hyatt in the entire chain. But be forewarned, the service from management is not too awesome, they feel entitled to not assist and to get what you need sometimes requires contacting corporate. The overall hotel facilities outweigh this though. I thoroughly enjoyed my seven nights here, in a beautiful room with a bathroom the size of the rest of the room. But oooh what an insanely amazing bathroom that was. Bathtub, steam room, shower, two sinks...yeah this was a bathroom for me, and don't forget the TV. The food for breakfast was delicious, and the fruits, oh so fresh. The baked items, delightful. Far above the Starbucks a few blocks away, and better than anything in Kayseri or Izmir. The concierge, quite helpful, but stil heavily bribed to send you to some not so great places nearby. The only pace I would go back to to that he recommended was the place across the street from the hotel, but you're better if they don't call ahead. The internet is paid, but if you have the Hyatt Visa it's free. The cost of the room is extremely high and the area not so great for seeing the Old City, but with some cabs, (watch out for the corrupt ones), that's okay, because in the end alls good that ends well when traveling. But once again those bathrooms, they did them right and the architecture of the rooms oh, just oh-so amazing. I'll be back one day, when I can afford to spend some more time at this amazing Park Hyatt.

Yelp
As one might expect, Istanbul is pretty hot in the dog days of August. The Park Hyatt is a great place to escape the heat of the day. The pool and outdoor terrace is quiet for most part with only the occasional squeal of a small child breaking the calm. The bartender is good about coming with water and other libations. We found the service to be a bit lacking for a Park Hyatt. Most of the staff is young and seemed inexperienced in matters that were the slightest bit out-of-the-ordinary. The breakfast area is a little cramped, unless you land a seat along the outside in the main corridor. The rooms are spacious and well appointed, as others have said -- much larger than many Hyatt properties in Europe. My only real complaint is that it's so far from the action of the Old City, which makes you fresh meat to the (many) corrupt taxi drivers. After two days of battling it out with so many of them, we finally decided to just stay in the neighborhood, which wasn't a bad choice at all. It's just a much different perspective (read: crazy poshness) on Istanbul. If I were to return, I would stay somewhere closer to Sultanahmet.

Yelp
As always, the Park Hyatt chain provides an experience like no other with their signature understated elegance and class. Park Hyatt Istanbul is no different. However, Park Hyatt Tokyo is still number one on our list and we haven't experienced a Park Hyatt that has topped Tokyo yet. Park Hyatt Istanbul is located in the Nişantaşı neighborhood, or where Rodeo Drive meets Soho (high end and trendy). So despite not having an interesting restaurant or bar on-site, there are tons of great cafes and restaurants in the area. As for room service, it was quick and the food delicious. We highly recommend getting breakfast for room service. The portions are a bit small but delicious nonetheless. We ordered the eggs benedicts and brioche French toast. They forgot the hollandaise sauce but when we called they were at our door in 5 minutes. One thing about service here is that they are extremely fast with any request we had. Our favorite feature in the room was the steam room/shower, however it needed a chair or bench inside. Ideally when I'm in a steam room I sit down. And the only off-putting feature in the room was one of the upholstery chairs in the room. It was stained and needed a good steam cleaning. That I did not expect from such a high end hotel. But with plenty of other seating options in the room we avoided that chair. The pool is outdoors and is not very big but for the most part no one seems to take advantage of it, aside for a few guest coming up there to take a picture of it. So you basically have your own private area. An unexpected bonus was free Internet. Typically Hyatt charges for it. Although, we have never paid for Internet in Istanbul - even at lower end hotels. TIP: Do not take a cab to this hotel if you're coming from the airport. Cab drivers for some reason has a hard time finding it and with traffic and circling around it really runs up the meter. I would recommend arranging for shuttle service (approx. $10 Euro per person). But taking a cab from the hotel to the airport (appx cost with tip is 55 Lira to IST) is fine.

Yelp
This is a quiet hotel that is very secure. I stayed here during protests in Turkey and felt very safe. If you get a chance, book a room on the 8th floor. It is exclusive and ultra luxurious. I love the spa-water, Nespresso, and spa bath. So nice. People are very nice, and meetings are reasonably priced and executed very well. Room service is delectable. the Park Breakfast is so decadent I could dream about it. Fennel sausage with those little potatoes and mushrooms are done so perfectly! Beautiful neighborhood.
