The 19 Best Restaurants In Menorca - Menorca - The Infatuation

"Head to this tavern-like spot to try the traditional Balearic dish of caldereta de llagosta, an intensely rich, tomatoey, spiny lobster stew (with an admittedly hefty price tag) that the north-coast town of Fornells is especially famous for. Sa Llagosta makes some of the best on the island, and, as with most other places, it takes at least two people to eat the whole thing. The lobster-laced rice and garlicky lobster al ajillo shine, as do local seasonal catches and seafood-focused dishes that pull in flavors from around the globe, like scorpionfish with shiitake and rockfish tartar with salicornia. Book ahead for lunch on the terrace overlooking the palm-lined harbor." - isabella noble

An incredible seafood experience. Every dish was full of flavour, fresh, and thoughtfully prepared. The presentation and service were both outstanding, making the whole meal feel really special. I'd recommend booking a table ahead of time to avoid dissapoint and to get a seat outside with sea views. Easily one of the best dining experiences we had in Menorca, a must-visit for seafood lovers!

Not worth it. Tried the caldereta de llagosta here and it just didn’t deliver. The broth was watery and bland, missing all the depth and slow-cooked flavor that makes this dish special. No richness, no real seafood intensity—just flat and forgettable. The lobster itself was fine, but without a strong base, the whole thing fell flat. For a place known for this dish, it was a real letdown.

Delicious lobster (our best in Menorca and that’s saying something!!) and the waitress advised us perfectly which dishes to select. More expensive option on the waterfront, but absolutely worth it for the quality and authenticity. Food was prepared to perfection. Great wine too. We loved it.

Stunning setting, warm hospitality, delicious food! If you don't like any seafood, this might not be the place for you, but I am allergic to crustaceans and still loved it. Some favorites included an anchovy dish with kimchi (sauce, not actual cabbage), tomato carpaccio, tempura octopus, and squid served in a sauce of its own ink-- all fantastic! Diners with me loved selecting their lobster/ langostine and enjoying it with the mayonnaise/ roe sauce served in a mortar and pestle. The desserts were great, too! (We had local friends who helped us try a table full of great food.) The restaurant is right on the water on a stretch that was pedestrian-only, so we had to find parking a little hike away; it was very charming to walk through the town, but a consideration for those with mobility issues to plan for a drop-off and short walk.

After standing at the door being ignored for 10 minutes, whilst staff rushed around an empty restaurant we were finally seated. Starters were very nice, but lobster was badly cooked, cold and tasteless. Very overpriced for such a simple looking dish with two and a half slices of potato and very little meat on a large lobster. Left this restaurant disappointed and feeling very nauseous. Much better restaurants on the island which I recommend you going to over this one. AVOID

Probably the best “caldereta de langosta” (lobster stew) you can get in the island. But also the priciest, €91 euros per person and it’s a minimum of two, just for the stew, no drinks or other courses. But a great experience overall. The food was amazing, make sure to come hungry and not order too many appetizers. Also make sure you reserve in advance

Had a wonderful meal here. The lobster stew was insane. So much lobster, we couldn't even finish it all.

Yelp
The best food in Fornells. Very calm atmosphere. The chef David has worldly experience. Try the bocadillo
