This is not just a restaurant; it's a delightful journey into the heart of Mexican culinary artistry. The moment I stepped in, I was enveloped in an ambiance that can only be described as a beautiful dream, where every design element, especially the enchanting chandelier made with red hearts, seemed to have been chosen with the intent of transporting diners to a world of whimsy and warmth. The real magic, however, unfolded with each dish prepared by the exceptionally talented chef. The food was a masterful display of the right amount of spice, bringing out the authentic flavors of Mexico, yet catering perfectly to a diverse palate. It was evident that every ingredient was selected with care and every spice used with a deep understanding of its impact on the overall dish. What truly set my experience apart was the exemplary service. The staff, attentive and knowledgeable, added to the welcoming atmosphere, making me feel more like an honored guest than just another customer. Their professionalism and warmth perfectly complemented the magical environment. Sabor Cocina Mexicana is not just about enjoying good food; it's about experiencing the very soul of Mexican cuisine in an environment that's as welcoming as it is enchanting. This restaurant is a must-visit for anyone seeking not just a meal but a memorable, magical experience.

SO GOOD! You can eat inside or outside, and the atmosphere is beyond wonderful. Some of the best shrimp tacos I've had! Service is wonderful.

Google
Food is Mediocre!! The food presentation and ambiance of the restaurant is beautiful. The food lacks flavor and condiments as it’s a Mexican Restaurant. The guacamole was not fresh. Looks green, but tasted like a day old. The quality of meat is there but it was just basic. Customer service is 7/10. Friendly staff but lack of detail to ensure we have everything we need.

Google
This place is a must! Everything about it was top notch. Excellent food, drinks and service. I definately recommend!

Google
The main dishes were amazing, and the margaritas were fire. Service wasn't too bad, but I think they could have come around to check on the table just a little more. The hand-made tortillas were surprisingly tasty stand-alone. Alright, let's get to it, I get the price tag on the chips and salsa, but no free refills? Rip dreams man.

Google
First visit, not disappointed. Everything about the restaurant is classy except maybe charging for oily chips and pretty good salsa. Really? I had the Enchiladas Suizas (not listed on the in-restaurant menu). I prefer them ooey-gooey and extra cheesy. These were sauced rather conservatively, stuffed end to end with delicate, moist chicken, very filling but not flavorful enough for this gal. Loved the Pinot Grigio but found the beans slightly mushy. I want to come back in the summer to linger in their delightfully decorated outdoor patio. Oh, and we adored the red glass hearts hanging from all the chandeliers. How romantic. Four final words: Come hungry. With money.

Google
I had a delightful dining experience at this Mexican restaurant. The atmosphere was vibrant and inviting, and the staff was friendly and attentive. The menu offered a wide variety of authentic Mexican dishes, and the flavors were outstanding. The service was fast. The only thing is that for my taste (and this is totally personal) my burrito had too much sauce on, but overall, it was a great meal.

Google
This is our weekly date night. Margaritas are magic and the food is consistent and the staff is always friendly and efficient! We always over tip because they're so good. Reservations are recommended on a weekend, but during the week you won't wait as long. Patio is great when there is good weather! Our favorite spot!

Yelp
Came here for lunch on a Thursday afternoon, was not crowded at all. I was seated quickly and my server was very nice and attentive. I ordered the carne asada tacos but really wanted to try the different kind of meats they had. Sadly, you are unable to mix and match. I decided to try this place because everybody on yelp was saying that they're going to sell the was amazing. Which it was pretty good but I feel like the meat itself could have more flavor. The homemade tortillas were wonderful and the rice and beans were good as well. Overall was a nice meal I would like to come back and try other items. Sadly the also did not have Agua Frescas.

Yelp
Unsanitary kitchen with foreign objects in food. Eat at this restaurant at your own risk. My husband and I just moved to the area and were excited to try the restaurants in town. We are big time foodies and we love to try new restaurants. While I was eating chips and salsa at Sabor, I bit into a foreign object that chipped the crown on my tooth. It cost me $755.00 to replace my chipped crown. I said nothing at the time of the incident because I did not want to ruin the evening, nor did I want the restaurant to think I was looking for a free meal. I also did not know the extent of the damage to my tooth until I went to the dentist. I was planning to call the health department and report the restaurant for health code violations. Other restaurants in the area encouraged me to call Sabor and give them a chance to make things right. Even the dentist encouraged me to call the restaurant. I decided to call the restaurant and spoke to the manager Luis, who spoke to the owner. And as I suspected they plan to do nothing about it. I should not have bothered to call the restaurant and give them a chance. They could care less about their customers. I will go ahead and call the health department, as I originally planned to do. I am beyond disgusted by the garbage I was served at this restaurant. Here is my critique on their food before I found the foreign object in my food. We liked the rib eye tacos and the ceviche. However, the chili relleno's and mole are another story. Chile relleno's are my favorite Mexican dish. Sabor's chili relleno's are the worst I have ever had. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, I ordered them on two different occasions. The first was with chicken. The chicken was dry and tasteless. I could not eat it. The second time I had a cheese chili relleno. It was deep fried, flat and tasteless. The tomato sauce it was served in was bland and tasteless. A flop of a meal. My husband ordered the chicken mole. The mole sauce was great, however, the chicken was dry and leathery. Another flop of a meal. You could not pay us to eat at this restaurant again. We were not planning on returning. Whether I chipped my tooth or not, we would not have returned to this restaurant anyway. The food is subpar and not fit for us foodies nor our foodie friends. Do yourself a favor and visit other great Mexican restaurants in the area. I recommend Madres or Patrons. Madres margaritas are to die for. I recommend the fresh strawberry margarita. It's my favorite. If you like subpar meals and garbage in your food then Sabor is your place. Good luck with that!

Yelp
So... "Tequila swapping"... A customer at the bar next to me ordered Casamigos Blanco. And complained that something was wrong with it. The tender (who I do respect, which is why the extra star) agreed it was off, which is good. I'm a HUGE fan of all Casamigos' "creamy" and smooth tequilas. So I said, "let me try it", as to find out if the tender was just agreeing because "The customer is always right". Indeed they were both correct. It had an almost moonshiney ethanol and corn mash flavor to it. Which is NOT Casamigos anything. Even thought it was straight from the bottle. I wouldn't expect bottle refills at a Resteraunt of this price point. Maybe an all inclusive resort in Mexico. But not the priceist Mexican spot in SCV. Check your pallette people! There are scams everywhere. Granted the bottle could have had a leak for the past 75 years. But, it's tequila, not wine.

Yelp
Just had dinner and wow! What a wonderful dinner, food and drinks were amazing . Maria our server was fantastic! We will be back!! Oh and the Tres Leches cake? Delicious!

Patty A R.

Yelp
Stumbled on this place and so glad we did! The food was incredible! The corn tortillas are homemade and delish! We have both the Al pastor tacos and carne asada. Fabulous! The meat was cooked to perfection and the tacos were hearty! Their salsa is also really good! I would highly recommend checking this place out. It's kind of tucked away in the shopping center and there's plenty of parking. Little pricey for Mexican food but so worth it!

Caitlin M.

Yelp
Sabor is a monthly MUST for me and my mom. The service is incredible, and everyone here is so so kind. You can expect a warm greeting every time with friendly waiters without fail. We had James tonight who was the sweetest! We had the Crepe Mexicana and the Skinny Enchiladas, both 9/10. Some of our other favorites are the Chile Relleno and the Cochinita Pibil.. YUM.. Margs are massive and balanced perfectly. The vibes be vibin... Sabor is truly one of the best spots in SCV.

Yelp
Sabor has been one of our favorite Mexican restaurants for the past 10 or so years. We often bring our friends and family here for lunch or dinner when they visit. Santa Clarita is in need of more eating establishments like this. They consistently have excellent food, service, and the atmosphere is always great. This summer we spent many evenings on the patio having dinner. We discovered a new desert here recently that I highly recommend; a spicy chocolate crème brûlée. Also, the taquitos are delicious. Every entree on the menu is excellent. The prices here are very reasonable!

Dee B.

Yelp
Amazing Mexican cuisine. The best chicken street quesadilla I have ever eaten. The Tacos were amazing as well. Cute indoor vibes with great outdoor seating. The service was excellent

Andrea A.

Yelp
Food, service and ambiance were great!! So was my cocktail Glad I made a reservation. They were busy. Everyone including host stand were very professional

Sonia C.

Yelp
A delightful gem in SCV! The ambiance, music and food is fabulous. Ordered guacamole, chips, drinks and tacos!

Angela F.

Yelp
Sabor is great for date night or any night. With plenty of options and tentative service. Expect fresh delicious food that tastes like it is a home cooked meal.

Alex K.

Yelp
Meet up with some girlfriends who has been to this place before. First timer for me... it's in a strip mall so there's plenty of parking. As well as a charging station outside. They had a nice decent sized covered patio in-front which was quite nice. We opted for indoor which was roomy and quite nice. The chandelier inside which gave it a gothic vibe and tufted velvet seats. I arrived late which of course the girlfriends had already stated. Drinks, the margaritas sizes were quite massive. Even the small was pretty impressive. They had the guacamole and salsa stated. Guacamole was white nice. Onto entrees, the chicken tortilla soup, which came out in a bowl, obviously. With the tortilla chips and the soup poured at our tables. The tacos, presentation wise was just ok. As well as taste. Nothing really major to rave about. The ceviche, was the only thing to rave about. Chunky seafood and full Of flavors all mixed together. Served with a couple pieces of tortilla chips. Finished off with the churros and vanilla ice cream. Churros stuff with Nutella, was good. Could have been a little more crispy but good. Overall, best thing was the ceviche. Margaritas was massive. Service was great and friendly staff.

James D.

Yelp
First time coming here. Sat down right away. Service was very welcoming. Server came very quick and ordered drinks. Food and drinks were really good. Would definitely come back and recommend it.

Ethan M.

Yelp
Sabor is a unique Mexican food restaurant in SCV. Their food is Oaxacan style, so each dish is a bit different. I went with some family and friends and got their carne asada tacos with a Cadillac margarita. The margarita is HUGE, you only need one! The tacos were very tasty, and the meat was perfectly cooked. The service was wonderful, the employees were friendly and our server was humorous. The restaurant is a bit too dim inside, we could barely see the menus, and the candles they have at the tables are too fragrant. Overall, a very yummy dinner spot when you're craving Mexican! Would recommend you check it out.

Natalee M.

Yelp
I've always wanted to try Sabor and finally got the opportunity to! I made reservations the day before, which I highly recommend. We ordered a few margaritas and chips, salsa, and guac to start. We tried the seasonal hibiscus berries margarita, and they were HUGE. Definitely recommend trying one of their margaritas, they're yummy! The salsa was also flavorful and the guac was fresh. As for our food, we got a mix of tacos, enchiladas sabor, and a carne asada burrito. The food was delicious! We enjoyed the food and drinks, but were shocked when we saw the bill! We were charged $14 for a "large" guac and $10 for a "medium" guac. When our waiter asked if we wanted another guac, he made it seem as if it was free and didn't inform us of the extra charge. I wouldn't have paid $24 just for guac. Also, I understand the the restaurant wants to set a certain ambiance, but it was way too dark inside even with the candle light on the table. Overall, I would definitely give Sabor another try!

Jonna J.

Yelp
My friends eat here quite often but I tend to shy away from Mexican as I find most places go to heavy on the hot spice. Then I was introduced to this place and YES please!!! The margaritas were insanely good (and insanely BIG) and the specialty drinks yummy as well! The atmosphere is lovely - with and outdoor seating area and inside wall flanked with 1/2 circle cozy booths. The service was en point too! Now for the food - great tortilla chips with a trio of sauces - absolutely perfect Guac, spicy salsa (not for me but friends love it) and fresh been dip. All very good! We all got the same thing - jicama wrapped tacos with grilled chicken and pineapple salsa. AMAZEBALLS! So refreshing, great flavor combo! Highly recommend. So I will be back with my friends and love that there is a Mexican place which is flavorful without burning my mouth off.

Yelp
First date night of the year... Rainy night and going to Sabor was perfect. Missing their Thousand Oaks location Had my favorite Sopa de Tortilla (Tortilla Chicken Soup) Chicken Taquitos Hubby ordered the special Posole- stew w/hominie and meat Ended with Flan - delicious It didn't disappoint! Wait staff was incredibly friendly Food was hot and delicious Great for intimate dinners or groups Kid friendly Plenty of parking! Worth the drive from Ventura. Downside They didn't have Teremana Tequila on their menu And do not offer Frozen Margaritas And Table Chips were not fresh but tasted bagged.

A M.

Yelp
We went to Sabor for weekday dinner and were pleasantly surprised by overall experience! Very unique decor showcasing art from mexico all around the place! We chose to sit outside and were greeted by server with yummy chips and salsa offering! We ordered vegetarian tacos and chicken mole and both were delicious!! Mole was one of the best i have tried in some time. We'll be back for another round for sure!!

The A.

Yelp
Drove over an hour to get this spot! The Mariscos chile relleno, app ceviche, and extra large hibiscus margarita were bomb digity!!! Def returning!! Mouth is watering just reminiscing the tasty flavors!

Nermin N.

Yelp
The service was incredibly slow, the food was incredibly pricey (never ever had to pay salsa and chips at any of the Mexican cuisine restaurants, even incredibly high end ones, and paid $4 for it for a very oily chips) the margarita had some metallic taste, couldn't drink, the food was mediocre at best! Ambience was nice! We choose there by Yelp recommendations! How come they had those incredible reviews that is the main question right now!

Heather C.

Yelp
Everyone in our party loved this restaurant. The atmosphere is great and we really appreciate so many healthy choices, like the jicama tacos! The food is fresh, delicious and creative. We will definitely be back!

Christine M.

Yelp
So we had a large party of 9. And we are no peach when we get the uncles together in one room. They are loud, and we tip well because we know they are loud. And no little $20 or $40 bucks like these other people! I get it. We are brown and as dark as can be, especially me. But the service was okay; it could have been better. Orders were wrong on a few things and probably could have been explained when they were ordered to avoid issues later. But it is what it is. Our daughter's 19th birthday was, so they gave us plates and forks to celebrate this. That was nice, and getting the family together was always hard. Ugh. Lol. the Verda was not good. The husband did not enjoy it. And he said never again. So I said ok. But the kicker was the tipping. He came to the table twice to ask if it was right, and we said yes the first time, but the second he asked. We asked him, "Would you like to take the $$tip back - THEN he changed his attitude." I guess people don't tip well in that area. Idk. But that concluded our birthday even.

Hovsep M.

Yelp
Excellent food and service! Steak tacos and the taquitos are great. Probably one of the best Mexican restaurants in the SCV.

Anna I.

Yelp
Celebrated my friend's bday. We had chicken enchiladas Sabor, taco camarone royal and the trio appetizer. Delicious food. Great ambiance, good service and extra large margaritas. This place is pricey but worth the money. Can't wait to come back!

Angelina L.

Yelp
Very overpriced, bland tacos. The servers push on the drinks, but I'm not a drinker. I came here even though I reas about the flavors not being there because I wanted to give it a shot myself. Will not be coming back.

Andrew M.

Yelp
So excited to eat here, when I found out the ingredients are all sourced from the highest quality I knew I had to try it . The area inside the restaurant is very dim, sets the mood for a nice quiet, dinner or lunch. The outside area is very well. Laid out lots of room for people who want to eat outdoors. Our waiter was very attentive to us he constantly checked us for refills and make sure we had everything we needed. The flavor of all the food was amazing. Everything was cooked perfectly tasted excellent, and had us wanting more. I did not take a picture of the dessert but the chocolate crème brûlée was absolutely spectacular. We made this our new go to restaurant when we get out at least once a month :-)

paulina D.

Yelp
Service and food are exceptional! The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. The food profiles are traditional Mexican cuisine and you can taste the quality of ingredients used. Top pick for great Mexican food date night!

Sammie C.

Yelp
Beautiful restaurant, I love the interior decor; everything from color scheme, lighting, pictures, etc... The restaurant was clean and well kept. The staff is on top of things, friendly and professional. The food is excellent as well as the presentation. My only complaint is the duct tape, holding the toilet together in the women's room, this kind of brought down the experience for me.

Jordan R.

Yelp
Food is excellent but extremely pricey! I asked for a side of rice and beans, we were charged $5 for rice (less than a cup) and $5 for refried beans (less than a cup). I mean come on? That's a bit excessive We ordered chips and salsa (which is NOT complimentary, and not expressly communicated,) when they asked if we wanted more they did not communicate it would be double the order per person for two refills and $5 for each 1/4 cup of salsa (we apparently had 4 since we had two orders or rojo and verde). Essentially we unwittingly paid close to $50 for chips and salsa for 4 people! I can understand charging extra for more of the salsa but seriously? You need to get chips and salsa prices and quantities under control. They also charged us for every refill of every drink (iced tea & coke). And even with that rarely came by our table to check on us. I think they may have written us off since we didn't order alcohol and had no problem charging us for each individual thing. It also took about 20-30 mins for the waiter to actually come take our order. He rarely came by our table to check on us, despite us being the table closest to the front door. He walked by all the time but would rarely stop. Maybe he was just avoiding eye contact because he felt guilty about each charge he was going to land on us? Food is great but they nickel and dime you. Beware they may start charging a launder fee for the napkins. I used to come here for most celebrations or special events, but I don't think it's worth it anymore

Dave S.

Yelp
It's pretty. But that's about the only thing going for this restaurant. Let's start with the first impression. The outside patio crowds the entrance because there is no clear path to the entrance. Once we waded through the chaos of the servers toppling over each other, we found the entrance, finally. The ambiance is really cute and pretty and feels like you're going to get an upscale experience. But, boy was I wrong!! We were greeted by and apathetic teen who refused to sit us outside. The weather was beautiful and we wanted to enjoy it. I pointed out that there was an empty table that was in plain sight. And he told us that he was saving it for a larger party to take it. It wasn't reserved. It was a six top and we were a party of three, possible four. And there was a party of three seated at a six top a couple feet away from the empty one. So clearly there's wasn't some kind of rule that they were following. He said it would be a 25 min wait to sit outside and so we opted to sit inside as we're were pretty hungry. Things were pretty normal about or dinner service and our sever was nice enough. Until our dishes arrived to the table. I ordered a Chile Relleno with chicken, my partner ordered the chicken enchiladas and my mom ordered the potato tacos. The number one general consensus at the table was everything needed salt. My dish was beyond disappointing. It wasn't battered or fried and it was over the tiniest blob of rice with a gross "red sauce" no beans. My partner's dish looked like it was made before we got there and just left under heat lamps until our order was brought out. Dry dry dry!!! Please explain how a dish smothered in sauce is dry as hell. The tortillas were gritty/mealy and devoid of flavor. My mom's potato tacos were beyond basic and pretty much devoid of flavor as well. We would have just use a generous amount of the salsa. Which was actually the most delicious thing on the table. But they charge you for every small side of salsa. Call me crazy but I can't remember a time when I was charged for salsa at a sit down Mexican restaurant. We also ordered guacamole but that was also free of salt and any kind of flavor. The worst part is what they are charging. The quality of their food is edible at best. Needless to say I won't be wasting a single cent here again. And I urge anyone considering this place for dinner to just go to del taco because at least there you'll get food that's flavored. And I hate del taco. And btw we ended up being a party of 4.

lmej p.

Yelp
Great service, great food! We had kids menu bean and cheese burrito, kids menu chicken strips, tortilla soup, taquito appetizer plus chips and salsa! It was delightful!

Ariana B.

Yelp
My husband and I enjoyed an amazing dinner here not too long ago. The food was amazing and filling, but we couldn't resist getting the churros filled with Nutella and served with a side of ice cream for dessert. The service was 5 . Coming back for my birthday dinner this Friday:)!

Ty G.

Yelp
Service, Food, ambience, 1st time here, the level of professionalism is on point. Bartender is the best. I will be bringing my family here. I live 80 miles from here, now one of my favorite restaurants. Cheers to this establishment!

Ebony P.

Yelp
I was very disappointed to come here, I changed my bday plans due to bad weather so I came here. I was extremely dissatisfied, we waited for a long time for the food and when it finally came out it was very warm. Since it was my bday, I didn't want to make a scene, but when the manager ( short short guy) his name was Enrique i believe, he was so fake with his apology it was an insult. His staff smirked when I was telling them how terrible the service was as if they didn't care. To top it off, I told Luis it was my bday when I reserved and 3 tables by us they did the happy birthday song, but me NOPE. idk if it was a race thing, but it was terrible service. The 1 star was for decor, and I couldn't give a zero. Don't come here over priced and cold food.

Ralph C.

Yelp
Let me just start out by saying that this is my favorite restaurant in SCV....The only thing more consistent than the food, is their ability to keep their staff, I love that. The only issue is that they advertise specials, but never seem to have them when we get there. Again, I love this place, but the lack of new options is a problem for my family and it limits the time I get to go there.

lori c.

Yelp
Not a good night. For starters, they don't even offer you chips and salsa. We had to ask, and were told 'they're not free". The wait staff must also charge for smiles and personality as they too were not offered. Let's talk about the food. There was a starter called "Skinny Chips" which could have been baked or air-fried tortillas, or zucchini or jicama tortilla chips (since they have zucchini tortillas and jicama tortillas on the menu). But no, skinny chips are four pieces of carrot, four pieces of cucumber, four pieces of jicama, and two sliced-in-half tiny chili peppers. This was served with "Guacamole" that was in reality just mashed avocado. Uninspired and super bland, with no sabor whatsoever. The tortilla soup was average, with more presentation than substance. We also ordered a chicken chili relleno. Like the guacamole, super bland with very little flavor, too much liquid cheese, and little interest after the first bite. What's worse than a rather pricey mediocre dinner? The intestinal distress suffered the entire next day. Sabor is a big no for us.

Rick L.

Yelp
We were lucky to stumble upon Sabor Cocina Mexicana after another restaurant in the same shopping center. we had crossed the entire SCV to visit was unexpectedly closed. And how lucky we were to do so. I mean Tuesday's is typically our Mexican food night, never Friday nights...but there we were discovering a fine dining establishment with really (really) tasty vegetarian options! My wife and I ordered the 2 different kinds of vegetarian tacos (Papa...potato, and Hongos...portobello mushrooms.) These were both super delicious! Often times the vegetarian option is token...I mean nice that they have it but an afterthought. Not here...so much artistry and flavor went into the presentation and food. They also offer a veggie burrito, a brussels side and plantains. I'm guessing they can make some of their other dishes vegetarian on request (Enchiladas?) and our only wish was that there were more vegetarian things to choose from. As delicious as these tacos were it would have been nice to have other options. That having been said I can't emphasize enough how delicious these tacos were and we will definitely come back and eat them again. The staff was also super friendly and it was a nice up-scale place to eat in. (With a large outdoor seating area if you're someone who likes the elements.

Jason W.

Yelp
Been coming here for lunch for the past 2 Christmases. Since both times were treats I can't really complain about cost (like I regularly do lol). This time around I had the carne asada tacos and they were very enjoyable. For starters we just had some nachos with guac, this place is super generous with their guac, both the appetizer and entree came plentiful. The host of the luncheon always convinces us to get the flan because it's his fave. So this my 2nd time trying it, I wish I remembered how dense it was from the first encounter. It is amazing but I would HIGHLY recommend you share it with someone if you've both had entrees prior. Plenty of parking, looks to be a safe neighborhood.

Yelp
Went with groups several times and our last visit was very delicious. A little expensive but yummy and will be back. Please bring back jicama wraps!!!

Ben D.

Yelp
Great ambiance, food is top notch! Service is fabulous. Servers connect with diners and engage with courtesy. Highly recommended

Roxana D.

Yelp
I don't live in the area but when here I always dine at Sabor, really good food and great service, expensive but worthwhile .

Tyler B.

Yelp
10 out of 10 experience! The ambience of the restaurant is very nice and the food is amazing. I ordered the carne asada tacos and they are some of the best tacos I've ever had. Would highly recommend.

Alex S.

Yelp
Nothing spectacular, a little overpriced, waiters could be more friendly and attentive

Wendy R.

Yelp
First time here and I was hoping for a better experience. The location is big and very good ambiance but personally way over priced. Now if you're looking for humongous margaritas this place is it. Also, food was pretty mediocre in my opinion. It's located in a big plaza so there's plenty of parking. Our server was very patient and attentive. No complaints there.

Keith B.

Yelp
Margarita was great and the skirt steak was to die for. The mushrooms in the mixed vegetables were amazing!!!

Arthur A.

Yelp
THE best Mexican restaurant in Santa Clarita. Clean, hospitable, efficient service and delicious food. The Tacos Doratos and Shrimp Tacos are wonderful. Their beef burritos great. Indoor seating or outdoor seating. Ambiance is first rate! We've been impressed with this restaurant and either go or take-out once a week. Only negatives: No frosted beverages, fajitas or sangria. High recommend.

Lesley Z.

Yelp
My mother and I stopped by because we were around the area. The ambiance is calm. The decorations are stunning! You can tell this is genuinely Hispanicaly created. Very attentive servers and the food was good. A little bit on the pricey end. The ambiance and food make up for it though. I will add it does have a simple menu which is nice and straightforward in my opinion.

Kristin B.

Yelp
What an incredible find! Sabor offers upscale, regional Mexican food in a stunning atmosphere. The interior decor is luxe and inviting and the outdoor patio is the best I've seen in the city. Not a temporary tent, but a permanent structure beautifully designed and decorated. Mexican food is one of my favorites, so I had high standards for Sabor and they have not disappointed me once in my many visits. The mole de pollo is crave inducing, and the cochinita pibil took me right back to the Yucatan, banana leaves and all. They have unique touches to their dishes that elevate each bite, especially on their many taco offerings. Service means a lot to me, especially at a higher end restaurant. Without exception at Sabor, the host, bartender, servers, bussers, are all extremely professional and welcoming without being distracting or intrusive. No, "Hi, I'm John and I'll be taking care of you today." They immediately and pleasantly address you and get you directly to what you came for. And they discreetly do the little things that great restaurants always do... like timing your courses perfectly, or very quickly removing dropped items and replacing them without a word, and filling your drinks without even bugging you to ask if you want more. Of course I do. Thanks, Sabor. I'll see you again soon... Requesting a salsa trio for chips that includes something not for the faint of heart, the next step up from your habanero salsa. :-)

Yelp
This was my first time here and it was for a work Christmas dinner. It was a cold rainy evening so there wasn't anyone outside but the outdoor seating looked very lovely with lights and heat lamps. The interior decorating for the holidays was lovely. The menu is short and sweet and the same goes for the drink menu but they do have a full bar. The staff was conflicted with only seating part of our group because we weren't all there yet even though the restaurant wasn't busy. It ended up working out. The food is good but the menu states there are no substitutions. My enchiladas were good but my husband was not fond of the steak burrito. He said the meat wasn't cooked all the way and he didn't like the sauce. They did make a really good Moscow Mule. Others in our party orders margaritas and they came in huge glasses. For desert we tried the churros filled with Nutella. They were served with a small scoop of vanilla ice cream. They actually didn't have that much flavor and to much Nutella. All in all, this establishment is classy and comfortable but we would prefer a more traditional mexican restaurant.
