I had a delicious columbian experience here with my family! The food was absolutely mouth watering and the portions were huge! I had to take some home and I'm a big guy! The service was amazing, our server Jessica was attentive and mindful helping us order. She made my whole family feel at home. I'm absolutely coming back! There is still so much on the menu I would like to try! Thanks again Jessica! Shout out to the chefs too!!!!

Let me first start saying that this is the best Colombian restaurant I’ve been in the US. We came from TN and when we walked in you can feel the amazing atmosphere, and the people are the kindest and nicest people you will ever meet. The owner was really welcoming and even recognized the excellent service that his staff provides. Liliana was our server and she was amazing! And I would also like to say thank you to the chef who has an amazing heart and sazón 🤌. Everything it’s a must try!!

Had dinner here last night with family, we come here often and the staff is always so welcoming, kind, and helpful. Their menu is very versatile and they have options for everyone. My grandma has dietary restrictions and our server was very helpful and attentive to making sure she could get something she’s able to eat. The homemade natural drinks are a must!

Been going to this place for a while. Never disappoints. This morning , I saw they were open so I grab myself a cappuccino, pan de queso and empanada. All for $8. I can’t be spending $15/20 for a damn coffee and bread you know. Please keep the prices as affordable while keeping the quality of your food. And the staff , they’re. So sweet especially the girls . Love them!

Once we were able to dine in, we’ve been coming back nonstop ever since. The food is incredible, hands down the best Colombian food in the area (and honestly much better than Noches — less salty, more flavorful, and always consistent). Everything is on point whether you come for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. My go-to is the carne asada con arepa y queso, and my wife always gets the huevos rancheros. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. The service is just as amazing as the food. Every single server is kind, welcoming, and so sweet. Our favorites are Liliana and Jennifer — total sweethearts. The owner, Carlos, is wonderful too. Every time we walk in, we feel like family. If you’re in the area, you have to stop by Sabor de Mi Tierra. Incredible food, incredible people — highly recommend!

As soon as you walk in you’re being greeted with a smile. What made the experience even better was having the owner come to our table and greet us and thank us after. The food was delicious! The beans are in another level of delicious. Congratulations to the owner and team!

Very good Colombian food in the area. The Churrasco was a highlight and the Bandeja Paisa was very hearty, could definitely even be shared by 2 people. Andrea, our server was very nice and attentive as well as the other auxiliary servers. Would come back here as the value is very good for the quality and portion of food that you get!

Really delicious and authentic Colombian food. Its more pricey than what I am used to, but for the area it makes sense. The ambiance is very nice making it a pleasant spot to enjoy dinner. The fries were amazing, extraordinary, and perfect. The appetizers are delicious also, especially the empanadas, nice and crispy. The bakery items are fresh and tasty also. The desserts are hard to miss, they look so good that you just have to try one. The 3 leches was amazing. The juices are fresh and all natural, what more can u ask for. Definitely recommend, although u may find cheaper options in elizabeth.

So I was walking back from UPS and decided to stop in and grab a bite. Once I walked in, I was hit with the amazing sense of all the delicious food that was cooking. The atmosphere was welcoming and lively. I was greeted promptly by a friendly young lady at the front and she suggested that I try the beef empanadas. They only cost a few dollars so I went ahead and bought two. So as I walked to the car, which was conveniently parked in the lot behind the restaurant, I immediately unwrapped my empanada. At first, I thought it was going to be like other empanadas that I've tried which have a crispy shell however these empanadas are similar in a way, but are very different in texture. These empanadas are a bit softer on the outside and have a denser inside filling which include potatoes and beef and it was quite delicious. I thought I could eat both of them, but after one I was full. I will definitely be back to the restaurant since I'm always in that area and it's literally five minutes from where I live. I can't wait to try other items on their menu.

Enjoyed my recent dinner here- the portions are huge so I opted for a side of sweet plantains (maduros) and shared a Bandeja Paisa which was massive and came with steak, two eggs, avocado, rice, beans, sausage, arepa and chicharron.. it was definitely enough for two people and we had enough leftovers for at least two breakfasts. The staff is really sweet, very family like. I also had a soursop juice smoothie with milk- which was delicious.

Came here on a Friday night on my way home to order some food to go. There was parking in the back, which in that area, is always helpful. When I came in, there were a few patrons sitting down to eat. I ordered the grilled steak, which came with two sides. I had the white rice, bean sauce and opted for an additional side of tostones. Everything was pretty good, though i wish the tostones were fried a bit crispier. Service was good and fast. Very cozy vibes in the restaurant

Wonderful Colombian spot with great ambiance, and large selection of national dishes and a great bakery. The empanadas were solid, the pastel de pollo was like cornbread with chicken baked in. Crispy chicharrones! Their bakery didn't disappoint the ham and cheese croissant was good and the pañuelo colombiano was huge! Great service, I'd love to come back when in the area. Solid value

I walked in and was pleasantly surprised by holiday decor but tastefully done, no overcrowding. The staff was friendly. I've had Colombian food before and at this specific restaurant but not this location. I've been to the one in Verona. I ordered the grilled salmon with plantains and yellow rice. All was good. Temp of good was satisfying. The salmon was a tad dry (I probably should have said medium well). It was still tasty. I also had a cup of coffee.

Pretty quick and easy colombian place. Hawaiian chicken was good. My bf loved the Bandeja Paisa. Overall very good and very filling meal. Could only stop for a quick bite but would try more.

Alright, I'm gonna keep this short and sweet (or savory for that matter) I have no idea what this dish is called, it was a massive chicken breast with mushroom sauce. Please someone tell me what this is called

I was in Bogota, Colombia not too long ago and had a ceviche de chicharrón that was the single best thing I've had in recent memory. Tried this place for the first time, and while that dish was not on the menu, the owner Carlos was gracious enough to ask the chef to make it special for me. The flavors took me right back to that small restaurant in Colombia. Highly recommend Sabor de mi tierra. Thanks again Carlos!

I was very disappointed with my recent dining experience. The food was cold and overly salty. Our meat was tough, and the chicken soup my dad ordered had no chicken, just one carrot and half a potato. On top of that, our waitress didn't check on us even once during the meal. Overall, it was not a pleasant experience, and I wouldn't recommend it. I order my meat with potatoes I ate only the potatoes

My fiancé has never tried Colombian food before (he's from the west coast) so I had to put him on. Not only was the food excellent with big portions, the service here is OUTSTANDING! Not just from one waiter but everyone on the staff we interacted with. We really enjoyed our meal and it was super busy inside even at off times! There's a parking lot in the back as well. If we were in Jersey, we would definitely be back!

Its with great pleasure and satisfaction that Sabor De Mi Tierra restaurant earns my five stars!! From the moment you walk in the door you are greeted by a very hospitable and attentive staff of Servers. The overall ambience in the room adds to the overall inviting feel of the diningroom. Decorations are bright and colorful while reminiscent of the vibrant colors of Colombian culture and folklore. Most notably though, the food was delicious! Every dish served with thoughtful presentation, generous serving sizes and served expeditiously. Everyone in our party was thoroughly satisfied and satiated in full. All in all, Sabor restaurant is a dining spot that will remain highly recommended in my future referrals.

I came here with my husband . Ysaura attended us. She was so nice from beginning to end and checked on us to make sure we were ok. What a sweet lady. Very polite. The place itself is definitely worth coming to. The food is not the best Colombian I've had but the service is so nice you want to always come back. They have chill salsa music in the background, its super clean and very inviting. I highly recommend you go here. The prices are very reasonable too. I bought a Buñuelo to take home and that was the best one I've ever had. Maybe i'll try their pan de bono one day with a refresco postobon. Viva Colombia!!!!

Delicious Columbian dishes! Quick and pleasant service, very accommodating to guests. Light and fun ambiance. Outdoor seating with lights and music facing the bustle of Morris ave. Enjoyed the Sautéed Shrimp with fries, peppers and onions, plantains. Flan and coffee for dessert. Would definitely eat again!

Had dinner there on a Sunday night. We were greeted by our server, Lillian. The food was superb and delicious as always. It never fails to impress us. They have a lot of outdoor seating and staff are on top of maintaining social distance and cleanliness. Definitely recommend this place if you crave good Columbian food.

First but definitely not last time there I have a very demanding palate I have to say that it is one if not the best Colombian restaurant I have ever tried. The excellent food, the first class service and the extremely friendly family atmosphere make this place a 100% recommendable place. La comida excelente , el servicio de primera y el ambiente ,familiar y extremadamente amigable Hacen de este lugar un sitio 100 % recomendable .

The staff is nice and very understanding if you need assistance. The food is delicious and they give you very big portions for you to have another day.

Delicious & authentic Colombian food. & Thankfully the waiters have proven to know the Heimlich maneuver. - Small incident involving the cops, firefighters, & EMT. Luckily everyone was okay.* Anyway, our waitress AMAZING! Portion size was just right. And the natural juices ! One of the best dining we've had in a long time. Definitely will be back !

Overpriced reheated food. Our plates were ready in no time and my wife complained the food in her $38 plate was dry. The quesadillas were made with American cheese. What's wrong with that picture? We enjoyed the drinks but that's about it. So, we left without trying the desserts.

A really wonderful place. We made a meal of several appetizers: The guacamole with tostones was delicious, the calamari nicely fried, and the picada was cooked perfectly, all the meats tender, juicy and nicely spiced. The restaurant is decorated well and not too noisy. Service was friendly and attentive. Highly recommended.

Rainy cool Columbus Day Monday calls for a Lovely Columbian lunch by 3 Asians. Yes. that's right...it's all good with a kind and professional staff! Waitress impressed with my needing my Yuca Fritas, a necessary side for me. Not my first rodeo! My sister in law had the Red Snapper, my brother had the grilled Chicken Breast, and I had the Grilled pork with sauce. We left no protein on the plate (we all loved our dishes!) and not much else! Should we be ashamed?! No! Just thankful for this bounty!

This hiden gem in Union NJ. Service was good. The place was pretty full. I had no reservation and didn't wait anything. I think that the table was waiting for me, lol. The food was good. I had cow tongue in creole sauce. Came with white rice and yellow plantain. Sorry but no alcoholic beverages. Coffee was excellent. Best Colombian food I've had since Medellin. The food is great, large portion, decent price and great drinks. Fantastic servers and great atmosphere. A great place to have breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The food is fantastic and the servers are incredibly sweet and accommodating. The service is also really quick and the food comes out very speedily. The ambiance is delightful and the music they play is old-school salsa quiet enough to have conversations but also loud enough to enjoy :)

Great local spot for amazing Colombian food! Customer service is great, food is always delicious every single time I come here and its affordable as well! Be sure to also give their milk smoothies a try-- I love the mango smoothie with milk! Their empanadas are also so delicious and I always get the chicken and shrimp combo with rice and tostones.

I order the rice with shrimp it came with plenty of shrimps but nothing special. Wife ordered grilled chicken which was good. For appetizer we ordered empanadas which were good but came from the display warmer I would've preferred freshly fried. Our waiter was good but could've been more attentive. Overall the food is good. If you haven't been here I would give it a go. Didn't like the $1.35 transaction fee.. why??

First time coming here with my boyfriend. We are always looking for a good spot to eat and great service and we found it. I was so excited to have Columbian food. And they did not disappoint. The staff made us feel like family, super nice and genuine service. The food was amazing and overall great vibes. We had the emapanaditas. I had the Carne Salteada and my boyfriend had the red snapper with shrimp. Everything was cooked to perfection. I can't wait to come back.

I want to start off by saying they are a clean and properly spaced out establishment. That made me super comfortable. Now on to the good stuff- The food was amazing!! Even better was the service! Our waitress, Liliana, was super attentive and made it a great experience. I had the churrasco and shrimp salad & mister had the pollo marinero. The shrimp was a good size and the sauces were FANTASTIC! I ordered two arepas de choclo con queso for breakfast, because DUH! Hoping they're as good as everything else. A lot of times I forget that Colombian food exists outside of Noches de Colombia. So excited to have tried this place out. Oh and the prices are super reasonable!! All in all a MARVELOUS experience and will be back!

I have come to this restaurant multiple times but last night would have to be by far one of the best experiences I had. The food is always amazing and I had no doubt about that before coming in. However, the service was impeccable this time. They treated us with respect and it really felt as though we were in an intimate spot for friends to get together. My friends and I enjoyed everything about our time there and we all said that we will certainly be back! All of their dishes were great! Highly reccommend

After a year of its grand opening I finally I got to have dinner at "Sabor de mi Tierra". I have to say this place surprised me with its cleanliness, service and delicious food during these pandemic times. Came here with my girlfriend and my in-laws and had a great time. Clean disinfected tables, everyone following safety protocols due to Covid-19 and clean bathrooms. The menu had a nice variety of delicious options with pictures so you know what your getting. I got the bandeja paisa and it was so good! All the flavors were spot on and nothing bland or salty. Also with what my girlfriend got and my in laws also was very good! The service was excellent with the waiters and the I believe the owner asking if everything was ok. In conclusion I would definitely would like to come back to try more dishes!!!

This place just opened up, so I will give it some leniency. We were seated immediately. Everyone in my family ordered a fruit smoothie, and they arrived immediately. Soon afterwards we ordered our main meals. It took over an hour from the moment we were seated to receive our food, which was extremely frustrating. We weren't the only table that hadn't received our food in a timely manner. Some people actually left cause they were so upset. Once we finally received our food, everything went much smoother. The palomilla was good, we weren't a big fan of the ceviche, and the chicharron was also good, I wish that had a main course meal that was chicharron with rice and beans! If they get better at bringing out the orders in a timely fashion, they will do well. I wish them the best of luck!

Sat outside on a lazy Saturday afternoon. Saw menus being wiped down with cleaner by the host. And a bottle of hand sanitizer was placed on the table. Food was really tasty - the blended mangoes/ milk was just the way to kick off the appetizer (four filled plantain "cups") and the bandeja paisa (enough for two!). Food was really tasty and our server was terrific. A free parking lot is right behind the restaurant if no street parking is available.

How can I start... My husband and I were passing by and this specific restaurant caught our attention, we couldn't be more happy, starting with the staff that were amazing not to mention the owner Carlos who seems like a great guy and he makes sure you feel welcome and happy. About the food I can just say it's been long time since I have had an amazing and authentic Colombian meal. Definitely coming back, I super recommend it. Muy recomendado!!

It's not too hard to say "I'll be with you shortly" if you are busy. Instead, I was standing there for idek how long without acknowledgment. Customer service really sucks sometimes, and idk 3 people in the restaurant doesn't really seem like busy to me in the first place, especially when you have more than 3 people for staff.

Food and service is fantastic. I order here often for take out for large groups. The food is always hot on arrival, perfectly labeled, organized and all the sauces you could want. They are quick to be accommodating if I have to wait offering coffee, soda, etc. Everyone is friendly and quick on their feet. I'm always helped to my car with my order. I've never stayed to eat, but it's always clean, bright and has great music. Be sure to grab a bag of the butter cookies, perfect treat!

So I call to try this place out. I figured, lots of good pictures, some good reviews and some not so good. Most of the bad reviews had to do with bad service skills. I generally could care less if the food is good, however...I call to place an order and some SKANK answers the phone who clearly doesn't know how a phone conversation works. She put me on hold and asked me to verify my phone number several times. The effort to eat here: UNSUCCESSFUL. Well, vagabunda, it should never be a chore to order food. You are done and will be out of business. Look forward to your doors closing!

So I decided to try this new place out in union. The owner was super attentive and the service was excellent. I ordered steak with rice and my boyfriend ordered a surf and turf meal. Also, the appetizer was delicious and fresh the guacamole was to die for. The owner checked up on us on the regular and also were super clean following the COVID guidelines. Excellent excellent

This is by far the BEST I've tasted in Union! Our daughter loved their rice and beans that she asked for additional sides to go! Food comes out hot - only thing, bring and pay in cash- there's an additional charge is paid with card (debit or credit).

This place was amazing. I went in here on a whim. It's a random weekday, I have so much work to do that cooking wouldnt be feasible. I also wanted meat. Man, did I pick the right spot. I went in and sat down. The waiter took care of me. I ordered a steak with some onions. Came with two sides. I chose rice and salad. Came out in a lickety split. The steak was thin, well cooked, well seasoned. Not to salty. Had a good char. The rice was well cooked. Not powdered seasoning style, like yellow from tomatoes and filled with veggies. The salad they gave me was full of onions, corn, and other tasty bits to excite an individual more than a salad usually provides. The service was on point. To the point of maybe coming around to much. I truly enjoyed the food. They did way better than Don Pepe ever could have. I will be back. Fill this place up, cause if it goes out I'll be furious with this community for not supporting this establishment. Also, the prices were on point. There's free parking in the back.
