The 16 Best Persian Restaurants In LA - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"The family behind Sadaf—a big, banquet-friendly spot in Encino—also runs Darya in Westwood, and while we’re not sure if we could tell their food apart blindfolded, the traditional Persian staples at Sadarfare reliably delicious and built to be shared with a crowd. On weekends, you’ll see families passing around koobideh platters, stew combos, and eggplant appetizers in glassed-in private rooms. Don’t be surprised if you see entire tables crushing house margaritas and Persian mules from the full bar as instrumental Bryan Adams covers play on the sound system." - brant cox, arden shore, garrett snyder, sylvio martins

The Best Persian Restaurants in Los Angeles, According to Eater’s Local Dining Expert | Eater LA

"Find three different types of khoreshts on Sadaf’s menu: gheimeh bademjan (a tomato-based stew with sauteed whole eggplants, yellow split peas, dried limes, and beef), ghormeh sabzi (a stew of sauteed fresh herbs, dried limes, kidney beans, and veal), and the signature fesenjan (made of finely ground walnuts, pomegranate molasses, and chicken breast). The Salout family’s treasured recipes are the key to the trio of stews; all are prepared until every element has fallen into place or ja oftadeh. Order the combination platter to sample all three khoresht served atop crispy tahdig or saffron-laced basmati rice. Dishes are served in generous portions and are meant to be shared family style, as is tradition." - Melody Barooni

Cookbook Author Naz Deravian’s Guide To Persian Food In LA - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"Head to San Fernando Valley and Encino’s popular Sadaf restaurant. (They have a second location in Thousand Oaks.) “They stick to the same kind of dishes—the kababs and the stews—but they’re a little more refined and upscale in their presentation,” Deravian says. They serve an array of vegetarian dishes too, plus a variety of wines and cocktails, including the Persian mule—gin, fresh lime juice, simple syrup, ginger beer, mint—and a saffron martini, made with saffron simple syrup." - garin pirnia

i had been buying this brand over the years for authentic taste but this will be the last time as better quality at the same price range are available nowadays. What prompted this review is that I nearly cracked a tooth on a bowl of barley. See attached photo, the size of this stone is bigger than the barley pearl. In just one cup (uncooked), this is the second serving for me and again there is a pebble (on the surface of the bag in the yellow section by the word Orge Perle)

I am so pleased that I can get my all-time favorite tea, which is Sadaf Special Blend Earl Grey, directly from the company. I used to purchase from A-zon, but since I am now boycotting that company, I have to go directly to the manufacturers and vendors of my favorite items. I ordered a bunch of tea directly from Sadaf, and I'm very pleased with my purchase. There was a small glitch with my order, but the company remedied the issue immediately, at no extra charge. Great tea, wonderful team. Recommended!

I am deeply disappointed with Sadaf's products and their customer service. Despite their claimed 40 years of experience, I've encountered hair inside their frozen green beans – it's as if someone decided to trim hair during a haircut and mix it with the beans. I've called multiple times, left messages, but received no response. It's like talking to a wall. I cannot recommend Sadaf to my family and friends. I wish I could give them 0 star. Terrible products without any quality control process!!!!

A week after I bought a jar of "organic" sesame Thini 32 oz . I noticed half of the Jar is only oil. I dumped it out. and found still very diluted sesame with shredded plastic in. Never buying your fake product.

My first order with Sadaf was recently made and included several grains, couscous, spices, grape leaves, and tomato paste. We are pleased with the quality of all items. The order came promptly, and was packaged extremely well with glass items having an inner layer of medium bubble wrap and an outer layer of small bubble wrap. The boxes were sized correctly so items could not shift and there was additional bubble wrap inside. The boxes also had "fragile" stickers. Nicely done! I will be ordering again.
