The Best Restaurants In Sheepshead Bay

"Safir has a dizzying variety of baked goods despite the cafe’s small size. The baklava is very good at this popular Turkish bakery, especially the pistachio rolls and milky walnut squares, but the butter cookies and savory pastries are even better. I’m partial to the oreshki, a clamshell-shaped Russian cookie stuffed with a rich caramel filling, and the kandil simidi, a sesame-coated cookie that gets its unique flavor from mahlep, a seasoning made from ground cherry seeds. The potato boregi has an unexpected hint of spice and makes for a filling breakfast or lunch before heading out for a day of fishing or golf nearby. You can also get Turkish-style coffee and tea here, as well as special occasion cakes." - carina finn koeppicus

Great service! The milk cake melts in the mouth, not too sweet, just perfect! The other sweets were also very delicious! Definitely will be back!

Happen to stop in and was immediately drawn into the bright and airy atmosphere. The staff was friendly and a very clean bakery. The baklava was delicious and the rasberry rugelach was amazing!

Fantastic Experience at Safir Bakery! I recently visited Safir Bakery, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm, inviting atmosphere and the delightful aroma of freshly baked goods. The selection of pastries, bread, and cakes was impressive, each item looking more delicious than the last. I opted for a selection of their croissants and a slice of their chocolate cake. The croissants were perfectly flaky and buttery, while the chocolate cake was rich and decadent without being overly sweet. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring that I had everything I needed. They were knowledgeable about the products and provided excellent recommendations. Overall, Safir Bakery is a gem. The quality of the baked goods is outstanding, and the customer service is top-notch. I highly recommend this bakery to anyone looking for delicious treats and a pleasant experience. I will definitely be returning soon!

What a local gem! Very friendly staff and amazing Turkish food. It's my local spot to get Baklava, but today I wanted to try their brunch options - so glad I did. Friends have been telling me that it's a great spot, and indeed, it lives up to it. I got the salmon Benedict and Turkish tea. Solid brunch. Great atmosphere.

I usually have a good experience but yesterday, June 6th, it was not up to par when the cashier, a man with brown wavy hair and glasses threw my change at me on the counter. Just 21 hours ago someone else made a review about their customer service so do with that what you will.

Wish there was as a Safir Bakery & Cafe in my area. If you’re in the area you must stop in. Prices are very good.

I've had baklava is many different countries/cities and have had it from Safir bakery too..however last time I bought baklava from here it was very soggy and mushy with no taste as if I've gotten old batch or something..being so over priced the taste should justify the price! I won't be returning here anytime soon.
