This would’ve easily been a 5 star rating, but there was a mistake made by the staff that made the experience less than ideal. Basically they over charged me in a sneaky way. I bought the classic soft serve (size medium) that was $6. At the cashier counter I told the staff I got the medium classic, emphasizing medium since there are two sizes. She went ahead and charged me for the larger size without me knowing. After realizing I got over charged, I asked her if the toppings costed extra. The manager stepped in and asked me what the issue was. He gave me what seemed like a half-hearted apology and refunded the difference. It was NOT a pleasant experience. Look I get it, times are tough, economy is not doing great and the business looked slow there, but that doesn’t mean you can over charge a customer for an at-best-average dessert. I was looking forward to bringing friends there to try the soft serve, but no longer. They just lost future business. Please do better.

One place you got to check out if you’re on the upper west side is this new bakery! The staff and owners are awesome 👏 they’re making a splash for the kosher community and area The coffee, food, and vibes are top notch enjoyed having the matcha 🍵 and vanilla ice cream with strawberry 🍓 syrup try that out on a hot day you won’t regret it After walk to Central Park and enjoy the sunshine ☀️ can’t wait to be back ! Coffee ☕️ was tasty and so was all the pastries I tried as well

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Grateful to have a kosher café like Saftas in the Upper West Side. The menu has a solid range of options with some fun Middle Eastern touches, and the space has a warm, inviting feel. The tahini rice crispy treat is a hit here! It’s the kind of place you want to root for, and I’m excited to see how it grows. Definitely worth checking out if you’re nearby.

If you are looking for a trendy classic spot for your breakfast and brunch food this is the tie place to go! The bagels and schmear are great, and the Babka is to die for! I challenge you to find a better Babka in NYC! Will be going back for a date with my wife very soon!

I walked by the store when they were first opening and grabbed myself a quick coffee (very good). Great ambiance and vibe. A week later was working from home and ordered in their tuna focaccia sandwich and babka. The tune was the perfect mix of fresh, with olive oil and pesto to keep it very flavorful. The bread was perfectly toasted and not soggy at all, which was very surprising for delivery. It was also massive and I ended up sharing it with my wife - great value for money. Now onto dessert… wow. I’m a born a raised New Yorker and that was a phenomenal babka! I should have warmed it up but I took a quick bite which turned into my wife and I inhaling it within 60 seconds. Conclusion- this is my new go to spot for lunch. Gotta try breakfast items!

Wow. This has to be one of my favorite bakeries I’ve been to in manhattan yet. The babka was out of this world. Literally could have it everyday it’s that good. Delicious and well made matcha as well:)

Such a special place! Staff is super welcoming and friendly, and the smell the fresh pastries and bagels make is absolutely amazing. The bagels (though on the tiny side) are incredibly tasty! So happy to see this new spot pop up! I’m sure they are only going to get better!
