Loved Sagebrush for many years, we go with 15 or more every year to Easter Brunch and would frequent for other occasions as well, last few years the Brunch selection has gotten less, food quality not as good as before, raised prices and lowered quality, standards and overall great service as we use to know. The last straw was a few weeks ago we purchased tickets for the Bee Fees cover band for a friend's Birthday, I called to see if I can reserve a table, they said no 1st come 1st serve..ok, even though I pleaded that it's for a Birthday and want a good table but was assured that no reservations were being taken but we'll have a great table.
On that night we arrived at 6:50 is, show at 8 and as we parked on the ormther side at Leonis Adobe (additional $15 self park) and even as I mentioned i am handicap, we see the inside restaurant not packed, side outdoor not packed, but stage area and beyond, packed, we check in and go look for a table, either all had reserved signs ( though we were told no reservations) or tables were all taken with people gaving dinner, we spoke to the security and management to see if they can get us a table, they looked at us as if we wete asking for tje impossible, if u are selling tickets you should have accommodations right? So as we walked around trying to fi d a table, we asked some dinner goers if tjey que here for the show, they stated they were here for dinnet but now knowing there's a show, they'll stay, so not only were there not enough tables, seats for tickets sold for the CONCERT,now people there at a table for dinner were getting a free concert too, we asked for the Manager and even though my friend was quite upset at the situation and no resolution was being made for customers who in advance paid for a concert seat and verbalize her frustrations told us "I'll give u ur money back just get out"! Is this how u speak to a paying patron ? No im sorry lets accommodate you but get up and leave..i was in shock and told him if the Birthday Girl wants to stay, I'm not going anywhere and i will deal with his rudeness, uncoothness, no manners at a later time, im done upsetting myself and my friend who's Birthday we were trying to celebrate so we were going to make the best of it, this was not fair to her or us. I WOULD REALLY LIKE A MANAGER OR OWNER TO RESOLVE THIS ISSUE and would like an appology from owner or upper management.
1 thing they did do though after we were irritated an i think only to shut us up, they opened a small alcove towards the back ofvthe venue with stools (no backs, i have had back surgery and need a chair with a back) i walk with a cane and voiced my concern but we were told take it or leave it, so we took it and made the best of it since it wasn't fair for our friend Paula's Birthday to be a downer all night, but things need to change at Sagebrush especially for paying patrons.
