"Brought to you by Mymy Nguyen-Voong and husband Jimmy Voong, owners of the now-defunct Delilah’s by Make Fish, Saigon Alley is an upscale, contemporary homage to Nguyen-Voong’s Vietnamese heritage. With a modern palette of white marble and neutral tones, it would be easy to confuse this restaurant for any other generically trendy spot if it weren’t for the food. The menu consists of expected dishes like banh mi, sugarcane shrimp, and summer rolls, but there are unexpected nuances — banh mi tacos and the pho broth that’s poured tableside from a tea kettle." - Illyanna Maisonet

Nice ambiance. Good music. Great food and they always have some kind of special drink for the season or month. Staff is friendly. They can be delayed when they get busy but that's a testament to their good food.

Google
Order here! Saigon Alley Kitchen is fantastic! What we had: Pork Bahn Mi, chicken Bahn Mi, tofu egg rolls and spring rolls. Fast, great delivery and delicious, quality food. Highly recommend.

We’re from Bayarea and passing by from our ski trip. Found this place from Google maps. First impression: Nice ambiance, modern. Nicely decorated bars. Very friendly hosts Food: Surprisingly authentic VN food. We ordered Pho Hanoi, Garlic Noodles, Short Ribs and Fried Green Beans- all have deep flavor and great presentation. The waiting staff was very friendly and helpful as well. We definitely will come back whenever we pass by Sacramento area. I guess only one downside is that it’s a bit difficult to find an available parking nearby.

Went with a friend for a late lunch on a weekend and they seat us upstairs, it wasn't bad but the place felt a little dark compared to the downstairs part of the restaurant which was very sunny with open windows, we both got the tofu pho which was amazing for a vegetarian option, the presentation was nice and the tofu stayed crispy in the broth, we both where very full and happy and had to take the rest to-go.

Google
This is my second time visiting Saigon, and the food here is consistently good. My go-to dish is the Saigon Pho, which I’ve only had once, but I’m a fan of the beef broth they use—it's flavorful and rich. The first time I visited, I tried the Pho Bo Nuong and was a bit disappointed because the short ribs were a little tough. The appetizers, like the summer rolls and taro fries, are also tasty. The atmosphere is lovely, and the space has a great vibe. I’d definitely recommend Saigon if you’re looking for a reliable spot to eat. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, which adds to the overall experience.

Google
WONDERFUL DRINKS+WONDERFUL FOOD= WONDERFUL TIME! Oooooh they set you up perfectly with all the sauces needed if you get pho, I was NOT EXPECTING to be so incredibly full but WOW!Pictured is the Pho Bo Nuong for $21 and the Long Thailand which was a nice spin on a Thai tea.

Google
this place is amazing, don't let the upscale decor of the place sway your thoughts of a good vietnamese restaurant. The pho broth is up to par with many places down Stockton Blvd but unfortunately broth volume was a little lacking. I had the pho with bbq short ribs and the ribs were grilled to perfection. the bahn mi tacos were surprisingly delicious. we also had springrolls but that was pretty average.

Google
Best restaurant for Vietnamese food and drinks! Friendly staff and clean environment. Perfect place for a groups or solo lunches! Full bar with fun drinks and in house syrups/extracts. Not your average Asian food place because they have original dishes not seen in other similar restaurants. Great ambiance and lighting.

Yelp
Wow, the BROTH by itself is soooo GOOD!! You really don't need to add anything. My BF got the Wagyu pho and he didn't add anything! He brought me some home and I like spice so I needed chili oil and siracha but omg hands down BOMB! The space is spacious and not crammed. Environment is clean. The service was fast and accommodating.

Yelp
Food: Look, there are some excellent pho options here in Sac and this may not be to the ultimate liking of pho snob, but this place is good and worth repeating. Out of respect of the great pho options here, I will not give it the 5, but a lot of Vietnamese people I've spoken to about it, like it. Anyway, the Saigon pho is probs your usual pho combo and it is solid. The Hanoi Pho with the ribeye is def the move here and my recommendation especially from a broth perspective. If you want something more, they got a wagyu option, but I like the broth in the Hanoi more so. I do think they give you a lot of noodles here, but they could be more generous with the meat. Service: Very attentive. You can tell they care about it, which is always appreciative. There is a very good tempo or pace to the meal. When you get the pho here, they actually poor the piping hot broth at the which is a nice "traditional" touch. Ambiance: A vibe. Great date spot even though you are slurping noodles in front of someone. Full service bar with some house cocktails. Plenty of spots for solo diners on the first level, which I appreciate. The music always seems to be on point.

Yelp
I have eaten here many times over the years but today was one of the worst experiences I've ever had. Whoever was serving tables upstairs on 11/11 around 2:30... wow! You should work a different job that doesn't involve people. Couldn't tell you a name bc she didn't even introduce herself.. matter of fact she said very few words to us at all! No "hello", no "how are you?"- she went straight to "are you ready to order or..." usually, I can ignore that but then our food gets delivered and I dig into our crispy prawns to let my soup cool down. (Crispy prawns were great, as always) I wait at least 5 minutes without touching my soup and when I take the first sip, it's lukewarm. I try to eat some and just deal with it buts its lukewarm, almost room temp soup. I try to call the server over and she's not even really paying attention. When we finally get her over, I ask if it can be rewarmed bc it's kinda cold and I pointed out that the meat was still raw even after 10+ min of it sitting in the broth. She says, "yea," and walks away with my soup. It takes a while and the food runner brings it out and she tells me, "if you don't want the meat to be raw let it sit in the broth for a bit before moving it around." I told her the last batch was just cold broth- It isn't my first time having pho and it really rubbed me the wrong way, like she was implying it was my fault. She just said "ok" and walked away. At no point did anybody apologize or check in on us. Our server would fill water and we would thank her and she would say nothing and walk away. Didn't even say goodbye or anything. At that point what would I tip you for? At this point... I don't think I want to come back to a place with servers who make me feel like an inconvenience and treat me like a nuisance if my food comes out wrong. Maybe you don't care if you lose customers but I just thought I'd say my peace because this used to be my favorite restaurant in Sacramento.

Yelp
This place does its job. The food was good, and the portions large. Great for a group, and this is the spot for groups. I was most impressed by the service. Even though there were a couple mix-ups, this place was so busy and our server was on his game. My favorite were the garlic noodles. The other food and drink were just okay.

Gloria N.

Yelp
The pho broth is freshly poured from a tea kettle which was a fun experience. Both drinks were tasty! We got the Long Thailand and Miss Saigon. The wait was around 20 minutes for a party of 4 on a Saturday night. Plenty of street parking around the area. Free parking after 8 PM.

Jenna L.

Yelp
Haven't been to Saigon Alley in awhile and ended up going with a friend- I am so glad I did. Food came out pretty quick and I was surprised at how big the portion was for the soup. The fried shrimp and taro fries were great but the beef short ribs were a little too thick and chewy for me. Our server Ava was so sweet and efficient, I would love for her to be our server again. They had good music playing as well- definitely coming back soon.

Connor L.

Yelp
Saigon really cares about the overall customer experience and it shows. Everything was spot on from start to finish without much to critique honesty. The atmosphere was welcoming, the staff was friendly and knowledgeable, and the interior was elevated but not pretentious. We ordered the garlic noodles, edamame, and short ribs. All 3 came out pretty fast, and the dishes themselves were full of flavors, great portion sizes, and for great price points. I only snapped the noodles, by the time the ribs came out we were off to the races. 10/10 would recommend!

Mike R.

Yelp
Great spot in the heart of downtown featuring downstairs bar seating and upstairs dining area. Opted for the Wagyu Pho and was flavorful Service was promoted and attentive. Only suggestion is to have the traditional spoons used for pho

Gemini N.

Yelp
The ambiance was chill with good music but upscale. If you have a service dog you do have to sit in the front. The only downfall is that the tables are really small. Service was a 5. Our waiter was very attentive and made sure our water was refilled and that we had extra space Food 4. Heavier on the fish sauce than I am use to. Prices were decent for bar food. The pho is poured out from a teapot . The papaya salad was drenched in the sauce. The Viet tacos were our favorites. The concept is very cool. Street that you would eat after or during a night out.

Kavika K.

Yelp
Been here twice and I would go again! The food is good and so are the cocktails. I love the silly billy drink. The summer rolls are good and so is the pho.

Britney B.

Yelp
We had to wait 30min because it was so crowded/busy but it was well worth the wait. EVERYTHING was so flavorful and straight up delicious. My fiance and I ordered the Hanoi Pho. It was packed with flavor. He added bok choy to his. As an appetizer we ordered the chicken dumplings. They were fried perfectly and the dipping sauce complimented them very well. We also ordered the banh mi tacos. They were soo good. The tacos were packed with meat and toppings and the chicken had a wonderful char to it. I can't stress enough how much flavor everything had. We each ordered an alcoholic beverage and they did not dissapoint; the bartender was not shy with their alcohol poor lol. Bonus points for the great customer service our waitor provided. He was very helpful in answering our questions and giving recommendations. Most definitely will come back.

Yelp
My sister loves Saigon Alley and brought us here for dinner. It was my first time, and it's such a cute Vietnamese restaurant! Since we had already eaten dinner, we just ordered appetizers: Taro Fries: Crispy fried taro with a cilantro-based sauce, delicious! Fried Quail: Crispy fried quail made traditionally with a salt and pepper sauce. This dish took me back to childhood wedding banquets. You can even eat the bones! Bo Tai Chanh: Vietnamese steak carpaccio with nuoc mam vinaigrette and fried shallots. It was bomb, especially with their pickled pepper condiment. Garlic Noodles: Super simple yet tasty garlic buttery chow mein-style noodles. Fried Shrimp: Crispy battered butterfly shrimp with a sticky Thai fish sauce. Yum! I really enjoyed the food here, the ambiance, and the friendly staff. A welcoming atmosphere always makes for a better dining experience!

Yelp
I was driving through Sacramento and wanted to grab dinner in the downtown/midtown area, and Saigon Alley came up as a good option. My friend and I stopped by on a Wednesday evening around 6:30 pm, and it wasn't too crowded. They have a bar + lounge area downstairs which was hopping, and a proper restaurant seating area upstairs. We opted to sit upstairs as we were here for a proper dinner. You can scan the QR code for the menu, but it just takes you to their website. The nice thing about the food here is that it's all small plates and can be shared. They have a good selection of appetizers, meats, and carbs, so it's easy to mix and match. There's also a special section for vegetarians. We skipped drinks (they had some cocktails that looked really good) and ordered: Salmon carpaccio ($14) Charbroiled chicken ($14) Charbroiled pork chop ($14) Garlic noodles ($13.50) Other than the salmon carpaccio, which was just okay, everything else was bomb. The charbroiled chicken and pork chop both had incredible flavor and went well with the garlic noodles, which were super buttery and garlicky. Honestly, this was one of the best Vietnamese meals I've had in a long time, and it was completely unexpected. Portions were also pretty large for the price, and we had trouble finishing. I ended up taking the leftover pork chops and noodles to go and had the leftovers the next day. Would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a good Vietnamese meal with nice ambience in midtown Sacramento!

Yelp
Saigon Alley Kitchen + Bar is a beautiful two-story restaurant. While spacious, I would categorize the restaurant as a medium-sized restaurant. Our party of 6 were seated on the first floor table. We had a couple of servers take care of our table and they were wonderfully accommodating. Several of us tried their cocktails ($2 off during happy hour): Miss Saigon and Tequila & Silk. Both were definitely craft cocktails as evidenced by the high price, small size, and complicated depth in flavor. We liked them but didn't love them. As for the food, we ordered different types of pho and banh mi. My friends raved about the pho. My Hanoi pho came with grilled ribeye - which tasted good but could have been a lot more tender. The true star of the pho was the luscious broth. I'm used to dining at casual Vietnamese restaurants where the prices are a few dollars less. However, Saigon Alley and Kitchen is a great option in the midtown area and the atmosphere is a nice treat! I'd come back again just for the pho broth!

Yelp
I've eaten at Saigon Alley Kitchen + Bar many times and am finally getting around to writing a review for this restaurant. The location is great, and even on the few occasions we didn't have a reservation, we were seated right away with a group of five. The pho here is truly "pho"nominal! The broth is authentic, rich, and comforting, with plenty of noodles to fill you up. Each visit has been a consistently a great experience, with friendly service and delicious food. If you're craving authentic Vietnamese cuisine, you'll have to check them out for yourself!

Sofia A.

Yelp
I visited on a Saturday evening with a friend and was very happy with the whole experience! We were seated quickly near the bar and received great service. The food came relatively quickly and was delicious! I decided to try their long Thailand drink which is an alcoholic Thai tea. I wasn't a huge fan of how strong the alcohol flavor was, but if you're into that you may like it more than me. I also got their pho and was super happy with the flavor of the broth. It was light and warm and so nice for the chilly evening. It also had a TON of noodles. After we ordered our food, we were checked on every 5 or so minutes. Looking forward to my next visit!

Krystal W.

Yelp
The decor is immaculate here. I sat upstairs and it had a nice ambiance. The food is good but pricier. Taro fries 8/10. Saigon pho - 8/10. When the pho was brought to me, the waiter poured the broth into my bowl. I will say it was over the top unnecessary. I didn't make my food taste any better and there was no excitement to it. Drink - Pho Queue Up - 7/10. It wasn't anything that stuck out. Would come back if I want to bring a friend to a bougie restaurant.

Kandria L.

Yelp
Originally got takeout from the Natomas location but dined it this evening at Midtown. Cute spot near Pazza Notte - this is near a busy area so parking can be difficult. Place was super cute with an outdoors and upstairs area. Decor was simple. Ordered the garlic noodles, cheese wonton, banh mi tacos, beyond banh mi. For drinks, ordered the Dub Rose and 24. Garlic noodles were good but could use more garlic. Cheese wontons were so yummy! I love my banh mi and my fiancé really enjoyed his tacos. The service was impeccable. After ordering our food, everything came out under 30 mins. Would come back!

Jasmin J.

Yelp
Very cutesy ! The vibe is very upscale but still very welcoming and family style meal for many of the entrees. We were able to order a few different things and just pick off of each others plates. If you love garlic noodles please try the ones here, that are sooo good. And the food came out super quick . Definitely a great place to check out if you are in midtown and looking for some good Asian bites.

Elaine G.

Yelp
Fresh and tasty food :) Service was great and quick! The menu changed a lot over the years? I didn't see some of the dishes that I saw in the yelp pics. But its ok. We got the banh mi tacos, shrimp salad, dynamite scallops, fried quail, and the pho queue up. The banh mi tacos were my fav! The toppings/pickled veggies were pef! The sauce was good. And the chicken was flavorful and juicy!!! Everything else was good. Shrimp salad was refreshing. The pho queue up was strong, but also refreshing. Nice clean place to go to for viet fusion food and drinks!

Shannon C.

Yelp
Instant favorite!! The staff was very friendly and accommodating (we asked to move to a larger table because we wanted to try a lot of plates). Our server was fun and we had a good laugh, I wish I could remember his name... I absolutely loved the ambiance, it was cozy but classy. I wish I knew about Saigon Alley sooner because I definitely would have had my birthday dinner here! The food was AMAZING. The beef short ribs were so tender and flavorful. The bahn mi was tasty but definitely not the best I've had. The green beans were so so so good and I normally don't even like green beans! The dipping sauce for the sweet potato fries was also delicious. We were trying to guess what was in it so we could recreate it. The sesame balls were the perfect semi-sweet dessert to round out the meal. I think about this place a lot. Can't wait to go back and eat more!

Kiana H.

Yelp
Happened to come across this place and decided to grab some drinks before dinner. We grabbed a set at the bar and started with tequila passion fruit shooters that were very yummy. We then order some cocktails off the menu and the drink presentation was amazing. They have the music on a little louder than usual but I liked it. I also liked the playlist, 2000's r&b was playing that day. We didn't order any food but everything that was coming out looked/smelt good. I will definitely be back for food and drinks!

Cindy M.

Yelp
I was skeptical, but I ended up being very pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed the food. I thought it wouldn't be authentic, at least from a pho standpoint. We ordered drinks and they were pretty good! Garlic noodles: Lots of garlic and was good, but the dish came somewhat lukewarm. Salmon carpaccio: Love the carpaccio, but the smell of fish sauce was a bit strong for me. Fried shrimp: Delicious! This seemed like a generous portion, and it was exactly what I would expect from this dish. Dynamite scallops: This was ok, but I wouldn't get it again. Pho: The star of the show! The soup came out piping hot and the soup was so flavorful. It was perfect on a cold day. Service was very friendly and the atmosphere was poppin'! When you walk in, there's two levels. The bar is on the bottom floor. I would definitely come back!

Nicki O.

Yelp
Tried out Saigon Alley for the first time today with a group of coworkers. I ordered the banh mi tacos, a Thai tea and the taro fries. Both food items I'd recommend, especially since the aioli on both is soooo good. I will say the tacos were stacked high (not a bad thing at all) but I did have to eat part of the meat/veggies standalone, and the rest in the since it would have been impossible and messy to eat like that. The Thai tea was just okay. A ton of ice in a super small glass for like $6 wasn't worth it IMO. It was good thought. Also giving minus a star because while I get this is "family style" it was obvious we were a group of individuals vs family, yet they took it upon themselves to combine some of our food items. We ended up having to split up food ourselves which honestly sucked. The waitress didn't seem interested in helping, just said that how it comes. Would have been nice to have been given an option. Def keep this in mind if going on wanting your own meal.

Pauline T.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing!! One of my new favorite spots, a solid 10/10. Came here around 8pm the other night and the place was packed! Definitely recommend a reservation if you want a full table and not a small bar one like we had! The service was great! As soon as my partner and I walked in, we were greeted warmly and given a QR code to scan for the drink & food menu. We were seated promptly, but our table was small since the upstairs are was already full. Our server was very kind also! He was happy to answer any questions we had and gave us drink recommendations as well. The food was amazing. My favorite of the night was definitely the Bò Tái Chanh (Vietnamese beef carpaccio). For $10, the portion is great! Jam packed with flavor and so many fun textures. The pho broth was also tasty, light and still flavorful. The amount of meat they give you is great as well. There were also lots of veggie options on the menu for my partner which was much appreciated.

Duy T.

Yelp
Had the Hanoi pho. It was light but flavorful. The round steak came raw and the broth was poured over the meat. That's legit!

Jenny B.

Yelp
I visit Sac often (from the Bay), but it isn't a trip to Sac without visiting Saigon Alley. It's my absolute favorite place to eat in Sac because of the food and the experience I've had here. I love the mural that they have on their wall but everything about their restaurant is aesthetically pleasing. When I was here last (Feb 2024) we had a very attentive server and were friendly and accommodating to me and two of my cousins (we kept ordering a lot of food). My favorite dishes here are the sweet potato fries and their garlic noodles (the best garlic noodles I've ever tasted). But we also got the salt and pepper shrimp, pho, and more dishes but everything tasted amazing.

Tina D.

Yelp
Super cute place with vietnamese food & really good vibes! My partner and I sat upstairs and the lighting, the decoration, and the service was all wonderful. There's a variety of Vietnamese foods here including banh mi, pho, spring rolls, etc. We ordered the Saigon pho, Saigon alley wings, and the beef carpaccio. We thought the wings and the carpaccio were divine (the carpaccio was my favorite!). I personally thought the pho was only okay but my partner really enjoyed it. Would definitely recommend!

Tresla G.

Yelp
Make sure to request the booth upstairs seating. It's a complete vibe. The music is always a complete vibe. Our waiter was super cool Alan! He was the star of the visit!

Sibel A.

Yelp
Best Vietnamese food in Sacramento. I have been searching for a good place for pho after visiting Vietnam and this place does not disappoint. They have several pho options including a Beyond Meat option. I recommend getting the Saigon pho because the ribeye is tender and delicious with the broth. The best part is that they prepare the broth for you and you can add you desired toppings, sauces, etc. You will also want to try their cocktails. We tried the Long Thailand and Prickly Pear Lemonade, which were delicious. There are two reasons that I took off a star. First, our drinks came out halfway through our meal (I think they forgot because we had to ask for them). Secondly, the restaurant, especially the upstairs, is pretty loud. Please keep that in mind if you are expecting a more intimate dining experience.

Samantha S.

Yelp
The ambiance is really nice and judging from outside and inside I hoped the food would match the quality of the decor but sadly it does not. The presentation of the food was nice except the chipped plate (pictured) on the spring rolls. This may not seem like a big deal but as someone who worked in the food industry this is a big deal. Chipped plates can hold bacteria and can not be cleaned properly. We did not notice the chip till the we each ate half a roll. The peanut sauce was decent I'd say average. The tofu lacked any type of flavor. The wings were literally fried and tossed with chili sauce so nothing special. The bahn mi was the biggest disappointment. The bahn mi bread tasted old, the pork also felt like it was pre cooked then warmed up and lacked flavor. The best dish was the taro fries and the sauce. The Thai tea presentation was really nice but again wasn't that great. Our server was new and he was good. Only thing I'd say was a little slow at getting the check but other than that he did a really good job. Overall I gave it a two because the food was not as good as I thought it should be. But after eating here I had other people tell me I should have ordered the pho and had drinks because that's what they specialize in. If I go back I will update everyone! -Parking is street parking -no Coke products :( -some of the seating is upstairs -some seats are plus size friendly

Lily T.

Yelp
We came here after playing Top Golf in Roseville with a group of 6. They seated us fairly quickly and the wait wasn't long at all. Our server was really attentive and kept the waters filled. He was super nice and the food came out ridiculously fast. The table was a little cramped but we also ordered a lot of different dishes to try. I got the pho with a side of short ribs and some garlic noodles, we also got the calamari and betel leaf beef rolls to share. My boyfriend got some chicken dumplings and he liked them. We didn't try any drinks but they looked tasty! I liked the vibe and the restaurant was really clean and modern!

Diana G.

Yelp
Very tasty food. Very cold restaurant. Always. Summer or winter, take a coat and a blanket. Seriously, the AC is ridiculous.

Vince G.

Yelp
Came here on a Friday for lunch with a coworker and the decor of the restaurant is super cute and trendy. Our server was very friendly and I ordered the salmon carpaccio. The salmon was very flavorful and was a nice bite to eat. Would love to come back to try more of the other options on the menu.

Nia H.

Yelp
Back AGAIN; literally, this place is such a treat every time! I let it breathe; the amount of time I let lapse before I circle back, and it makes it harder every time -- I swear! The check was large-and-in-charge (party of 3) so def need to budget for this place, even if it's just a party of 2. This time, had egg rolls (for the first time), their salt/pepper shrimp (for the first time), their noodles (a must), and the pho que up (shooter)! I was slamming, so I didn't have time to take a pik of a few of the items, but let me tell you! Worth every carb! the service is always great, along with the ambiance -- and this time they had a cute little playlist going (as per usual). Can't wait to return (again)!

Christopher D.

Yelp
Below mid tier for over priced Vietnamese food. I ain't even that picky too tbh. Service was good. The place is really nice. But if you really wanted to get good Vietnamese food just head down to south sac.

Courtney O.

Yelp
My husband and I came here on Monday for my birthday dinner because I had been eyeballing it for awhile and was craving Pho. It is located on L Street by Ginger Elizabeth's so usually only street parking is available if you're lucky. Upon entering, I thought that they were pretty empty until I looked up and saw they had a whole balcony area that was pretty full, but we got seated right away. The inside is small and feels intimate for a perfect date night setting. We ordered the Chicken Eggrolls, Spicy Parmesan Edamame and Summer Rolls to start. The Edamame was not my favorite, the spice was there, but nothing can top the Freaky Spicy Edamame at Mikuni's - fight me. The Chicken Eggrolls were nothing special either, but I did enjoy the Summer Rolls. They were fresh and had great shrimp to veggie ratio - I would order these again! For our entrees, we ordered the Bahn Mi and the Saigon Pho - my husband said the bread was burnt on the Bahn Mi, but he enjoyed the flavor of the pork. The Pho was some of the best I've had in Sacramento, the broth was warm and comforting and the noodles were nice and tender. I would go back just for this Pho! They also offer a Wagyu Pho that I need to go back and try. Drinks were great too! I believe their happy hour goes until 6pm. Staff was friendly and gave great recommendations. I will definitely be coming back or trying their location in Natomas very soon!

Jarred D.

Yelp
Saigon Alley is a great place for Vietnamese food with an American flair. They have a wide variety of dishes including: wings, noodles, bahn mis, rice plates, skewers, etc. We decided to try the Fried Chicken Dumplings, Cheese Wontons, and Betel Beef. Everything tasted delicious and came in decent portions. The dumplings and beef were my favorite as they were just bursting with flavor. Their cocktail menu also offers some creative and delicious drinks - I'm a big fan of The Meemers due to its rich pandan flavors. This place is a fantastic for happy hour.

Jeff M.

Yelp
We had to commute to Sacramento for a graduation after spending the night before out at a concert; and were craving something hearty. The ratings look good and the decor was really nice, so we decided to give Saigon Alley a shot. Everything was really well executed. The soup for the Saigon Pho was flavorful. I could drink the soup all day. I also appreciated how the server poured the soup from a tea kettle into the bowl. I was told they do it for safety reasons (since they have to bring the soup upstairs), but I really liked the intimate touch. I think Saigon Noodle cuts their noodles, which I thought was a bit strange. The Papaya salad was refreshing. All the ingredients tasted really fresh and the sauce was not overpowering. I think those two aspects are critical for an enjoyable papaya salad. Bo Tai Chanh. Bomb. It felt like the meat used was of high quality; easy to chew, no weird taste. Sweet Potato Fries are a sleeper hit here. The fries held their crisp throughout the whole meal. They weren't oily and came with a really yummy sauce. My mother in law doesn't normally enjoy fries, but had a bunch here. The Saigon Alley Chicken Wings were just okay for me. They were well fried but I felt like the sauce was lacking in flavor. Summer Rolls are just your typical rice wrap rolls. They were well wrapped and not dry at all. The sauce that came with it had a good peanut flavor that was not overpowering. I've had tastier versions of each dish at other restaurants, but thoroughly enjoyed almost every dish here. If I lived closer, I would visit this place pretty frequently!

Yelp
My son is a big pho fan. So for his bday he wanted to try this place since he's been to the others. The wait for 4 wasn't too bad main dining is upstairs. It is a nice location that can possibly be a cool event spot on their outside patio. We ordered scallops, and a couple of phos with a side of rice. A regular order but it was awkward getting the food since the tables are kinda small we had to maneuver our bowls, toppings plate and waters to make sure we didn't spill. The scallops were so yummy, the pho was good. I would come back just for a quick date night. The service was ok. Wish my water would have been filled more i ended up drinking from everyone's at my table. Since mine say empty for so long. Lucky my family hardly gets thirsty lol.

Yelp
Food super pack with flavor. Service great. Cool vibes in the restaurant. Definitely recommend trying the pork chops. No rice on the side but super pact with flavors. Would recommend getting rice on the side if you're hungry.

Yelp
This place IS tasty, it's very cute inside too it's a nice spot. The spring rolls? Fire. The Cheese wontons? Fire. The Garlic noodles? Fire. The service? Subpar. I love the food here but I just wish the servers were more attentive it took forever for us to order and get the check. And I work in customer service so I cut other workers a lot of slack because hey, me too! But man, maybe the guy serving us had too many tables or something because he literally took forever. I will return tho IDC those garlic noodles were so good.

Yelp
Went to try this place since pho is a great time right now since its fall weather. Hosts are really friendly, and the restaurant was really clean with nice intimate lighting. Love that it felt more quiet inside. Ordered a bunch of food but forgot to grab some pictures, sadly. Calamari was delicious and well seasoned. I wish the squid was a bit more big though. Tried the Pho Saigon. The broth was packed with flavour, and meat was a great amount. There were lots of noodles, but drinking that soup was really fulfilling. Also ordered spring rolls and summer rolls, great safe choices, but wanted more Peanut Sauce and wish they had the traditional fish sauce for dipping. Portions are great!

Yelp
This place has great food. Their summer rolls are the best. They used to only be $5 but I'm still willing to pay the price increase because they're that good. I always get great service and the layout of the restaurant is different in a good way.

Yelp
Came here to meet up with my Yelp baddies and enjoyed every bit of food and wine. On the menu: Tuna carpaccio Salmon carpaccio Charbroiled pork chops Salt and pepper shrimp spring rolls Wine.... oh the bottles of wine flowed. We came for HH but it made more sense to just buy some bottles. Favorite items were the pork chops and salt and pepper shrimp. The unexpected menu item was the salmon carpaccio. Had never tasted it and am not a fan of raw raw fish but this item was delectable. Can't wait to return and try other menu items. 10/10 would recommend.

Yelp
The restaurant is set up really nice. There are two floors so a good amount of table space. It has a upscale hipster vibe. The food was top notch, everything was well seasoned and cook perfectly. Our waitress was very pleasant and attentive too, not only to our table but others around us. Prices were reasonable for what you received in your meal. Definitely will be going back.

Yelp
Highly recommend Saigon - the restaurant is a cute, cozy vibe for a date night. The pho is amazing - either tofu or meat!

Yelp
I have mixed feelings about this restaurant. It definitely doesn't cater to the OG Vietnamese crowd, and I guess that is okay. I didn't really expect it to judging by the ambiance, decor, and reviews. I've tried the Midtown location and their newer Natomas location. Food tastes similar at both locations. Service is good, but they sure do charge you on every little thing you can think of. And there is usually a weait. The Midtown location gets packed even during weekday nights. It's also loud. I usually get the pho. I've also had their appetizers and small eats. The pho is good. Broth and meat are good. Plenty of pho noodles. Although I believe they changed their menu and staff after the peak of COVID. The friend I dined with asked for an old drink from 2019 and they no longer can make those (?) even though it was just a cocktail. The thing that bothers me the most is that the restaurant nickels and dimes you for everything. Extra noodles. Extra charge (understandably I guess). Extra broth? Extra charge. Extra limes? Yeah, that's extra charge. Broth comes out sapping hot. Yum. Their happy hour is just $1 or $2 off drinks too, which is lame. I had their spare ribs and rice and it was flavorful. Borderline too seasoned/saucy for me though. The staff doesn't come around too often. I like their food overall, but service and pricing taints my overall experience.
