The host was welcoming and ended up waiting our table. He offered great feedback and relayed our order flawlessly by memory - the mark of a professional! The food arrived promptly and was delicious. By far the most flavorful pho broth I've ever experienced, and the salt levels and aromatics were testament to the skill of the chefs. There was a small problem with one of the dishes, but the manager came and TOOK CARE OF US. Put your chips on this restaurant to curate a wonderful date night or culinary experience and you won't be disappointed.

Omg.... we ended up going to this place by accident, but it was so good that we would be back sooner than later, lol... the service is great and fast. To start, they will bring you this amazing soup 😀 and the food was amazing 👏 🤩

I’ve been coming to Saigon Kitchen for years, and their pho has always been my go-to comfort meal… rich, flavorful, and consistently delicious. Recently, I decided to try something new and ordered the mango shrimp rolls… and wow! So fresh, light, and full of flavor, definitely a new favorite. On top of the amazing food, the staff here is truly the nicest. Always welcoming, attentive, and kind. It’s the kind of place that feels like home every time I visit. Highly recommend!

Google
Best Pho I have had in Phoenix so far! Great Vietnamese restaurant, very nice interior, sat in the lounge area at the bar, was quiet and very nice. Veg Egg Rolls were delicious, crispy and fresh, dipping sauce was also good. Pork Pot Stickers were also excellent, crispy and flavorful filling. Pho broth was perfection, fatty and rich. Good amount of things sliced beef and meatballs. Highly recommend!

Google
I have heard so many good things about Saigon Kitchen. My daughter and I decided that we would have our lunch date here. We were greeted immediately by Kiana, who also turned out to be our server. She was fantastic throughout the entire meal. I noticed she was also the busser. There was a bartender working also. We were given the happy hour menu along with the regular menu. We decided on the shrimp and pork spring rolls, the pork crispy egg roll, the charbroiled pork vermicelli, and the Vietnamese Iced Coffee. The place had a nice size crowd for lunch. We will be back again to try other items.

Google
The staff was amazing! We were greeted and seated right away. The server, Andy knew the menu and gave excellent recommendations. The food came out very quickly and exactly as ordered. Very tasy!!! The flavor and texture was perfect 👌 Andy was very attentive and quick to refill our drinks and anything else that was requested. Definitely recommended this place. We will be back!

Amazing veggie pho!! My whole fam loves this place! My wife and son tried the new tiramisu dessert, and they were blown away! Wish I could have tried it too, but I have a dairy allergy. lol it looked pretty, though!!

Google
What we ordered: Sapparo Albariño Appetizer: Calamari Entrees: Shrimp yellow curry Filet mignon shaken beef sizzling platter This is a new fav spot for me now great food for sure , the calamari was the only weak part of it as the breading was pretty thick and crunchy and were thick strands of calamari that’s alright but the rest soooo good some of the best yellow curry I had and it’s the most unique type I had with sweet potatoes , peas and baby corn in it but it worked so well cause that curry sauce is very flavorful and well made , the sizzling platter just as great perfectly cooked medium rare pieces and so many onions in a yummy sauce plus you get a house broth which is some pho broth soup which was yummy great spot service a bit slow for sure but they gave me a drink for free after then forgetting to bring it even tho only five minutes past I was shocked at the hospitality

Yelp
The ambiance and food were fantastic. We got the pork and shrimp fresh rolls, ground pork crispy egg rolls, and two small steak pho- everything was made with love. I wish the server had checked on us a couple more times, since we started the meal with no napkins or silverware, but it was a small oversight in what was a great experience overall.

Yelp
Food- Excellent! I have been here over 20+ occasions. I love Pho and is is great heremake sure you are given the Basil leaves, and Bean Sprouts and Jalapeños Never, I mean never been disappointed. Why the 4 stars then? Well that is because of the cost not the food nor the service nor the atmosphere... that is all 5 star!!! The cost is pricey, for me... maybe not for others All dishes are tasty and fresh and can be made to your preference of spice... Their fried Rice is fantastic also with many varieties including a supreme variety of meats and seafood which also comes with a Hefty price... Their fried Rice Pho is also pricey, to me, however worth it I love sitting in the raised booth (half) and chair(other half) seats their are only a few of these. Seats so I get a reservation and ask for those specifically. I prefer sitting up above the floor tables. Their is a separate space for the lounge and that is more intimate and darker lighting with a bar for a more intimate atmosphere... nice for a special date...?There actually is this one Vintage style Velvet apolstersdb Booth that I prefer for room and comfort and intimacy... no matter where you sit I am sure you will enjoy the entire experience!!! Blessed love Enjoy!

Yelp
Unfortunately, our experience at Saigon Kitchen was a bit lack luster. They have great reviews on Yelp, so it may have just been an off day or we ordered the wrong things. When we got there around lunch time, we were seated immediately. A couple of family members wanted hot tea, which they didn't have so we ended up getting Thai tea. This was pretty good, not overly sweet. For our meals, we ordered a variety of things including spring rolls for an appetizer, bahn mi, garlic noodles, one of the sizzling platters, etc. I personally had the garlic noodles with lemongrass chicken which I wasn't a fan of. The chicken tasted like it was coated in mostly mayonnaise, and given that it was fried, it didn't have a nice crisp outside. Others mentioned the meat in their dishes was overcooked as well. Overall, not likely to return personally but glad we tried it. If you're in the area and stop by, try out their fresh spring roll appetizer. That was the best thing we had.

Yelp
Very nice fancy place and clean Food not really real Vietnamese Waiter nice Order for 2 people $50 1 soup bowl and 1 noodle plate

Yelp
Every time we have ordered take out it's always phenomenal. The food is always stellar and always delicious. Never had a bad meal ever from here. But i also don't stray far from the usual orders for the shaken beef and noodles Or rice sometimes I'll get it with shrimp. I live in the east valley and with way more Asian options and this one being on the west side always sticks out the most when we think of places to order from. We have a lot of little kids all together between my siblings and I so we can't speak for service much. But it's always been fine when we pick up our food. Def not a place inside I'd risk trying to go into with all of our kids and the lack of sitting/listening that rarely happens.

Yelp
Our new favorite place in Surprise. The SK Lounge is a hidden jewel! Crystal chandeliers, blue and red velvet seating, dim lighting to create a very intimate and ambient atmosphere. Soft music from the days of Sinatra, Nat King Cole, Tony Bennett, and more. The owner and employees are very attentive and friendly making for a truly enjoyable dining or bar experience! Love the food and drinks! This lounge is just pure 'class'!

Andy H.

Yelp
We had a really great experience here. The food was excellent and the service was really good despite the fact they were under staffed. But the food came out timely and hot. We shared a calamari appetizer the was really good. I had the combination pho that was delicious. My wife had the filet mignon fried rice that was outstanding. It was a nice atmosphere as well. We'll be back.

Yelp
My husband and I went for a late lunch/early dinner and I was disappointed to find they did not offer sushi options, so we ordered an appetizer and entrees. The pot stickers were a bit over cooked. The entrees came with broth soup - I was not a fan. The broth was sweet. Our entrees were offered with their own style soy sauce. I asked what ingredients made it their own and found SUGAR was added. Not a fan of the added sugar and sweet soy sauce. The meal had the pepper "spicey" indicator displayed on the menu - yet the chicken was sweet and the aioli flavor of the chicken was not my style. I asked for chili oil and mixed it with soy sauce then added it to my plate and the addition enhanced the flavor greatly. Still, the very expensive $$$ meal was not worthy of the cost. The portion size was medium (not large or small). And - it was SWEET! My husband ordered the chicken fried rice; this was good, as expected, yet not mind blowing. Another expensive meal! I liked the decor and location of the restaurant, and the style was inviting. The bar was open and may be a good setting for drinks and appetizers. Our server was great and highly attentive. Overall, this place was ok. My husband said he wouldn't go back. Our food and sprite with tip was $75; based on the food alone I believe we could get the same quality food elsewhere for $35. Diabetics - avoid all the hidden sugar! Overall, this food did not stand up to the price! I have no problem paying top dollar for great food. On to more tasteful adventures

Sydney W.

Yelp
One of our favorite go-to restaurants for a special night out. The owner/chef comes out and visits, the staff is great and so far, there is nothing we would tell you to avoid. My favorite is Chicken Curry. My husband loves the Sizzling Platters.

Yelp
It's good, but it's also a bit pricey. For example: a grilled pork bun with one egg roll was 21.50, which is higher than I've paid at other Vietnamese places. However, the pork is probably the best I've had. My wife didn't enjoy her Vietnamese ribs that much, due to too many fragmented bone shards. I'll return, but my expectations will be in line with the prices
google avatar

Melissa T.

Yelp
The food, the service and the restaurant are all great....if you have extra cash to blow! This place is a little pricey for the same meal you can get for half the price.
google avatar

Leslie P.

Yelp
The atmosphere is was good. Better than it looks in the pictures. Staff was friendly. Our food came quickly. It was pretty good. My husband ordered a dish that was noted as "spicy" and it was not so he was a little disappointed but overall a good experience

Yelp
This is one of my favorite restaurants to eat at. I travel all the way from South Phoenix to Surprise just to eat here. I always try to make sure I get my monies worth since this is a bit of a ride for me. The main entree I highly recommend is going to be the Lemongrass Noodles Filet mignon and shrimp! I order this every time I visit and I haven't been disappointed yet. As much as I want to try a different entree, I can never bring myself to do so. With this last visit, I also tried Crispy pot stickers with chicken - this was good, it probably tastes more flavorful with the pork, which I haven't tried yet but will Crispy shrimp egg rolls - these were ok, they lacked flavor Garlic butter wings - didn't taste any garlic on the wings

Yelp

Yelp
If I could buy stock in this restaurant--or in Andy's family--I would! This place is an absolute gem. From the moment you walk in, the service is top-notch, and Andy's attention to detail is unmatched. The whole experience is just a vibe. The food? Next level. You have to start with the crispy wings--perfectly golden on the outside, juicy on the inside. Then they bring out the soup to kick things off, and let me tell you, the lemongrass noodles with filet and shrimp are pure comfort food. I could eat that dish every day for the rest of my life. And if you still have room (or even if you don't--just take some to go because it's just as good the next day), you must finish with the butter cake. That warm, rich cake with a heaping scoop of vanilla ice cream? Unreal. Beyond the food, the ambiance is something special, especially with the speakeasy-style vibe in the back. This is a family-run operation through and through, and you can feel the passion in every detail. Hands down, the best hidden gem in Surprise. Cheers to Saigon Kitchen!

Yelp
Great, quick little eatery. Vietnamese styled restaurant and even has a bar area. We were immediately sat and the server was great and attentive to everything. We came during happy hour and ordered the calamari which I would highly recommend. They have a great recipe. On top of the all of the service was both quick, but everyone including the bussers were friendly. We ordered the surf and turf pho and the tofu curry (pictured below). Both were absolutely delicious and flavorful. Cool little place to stop in, if you're in the area.

Yelp
The music in here is super cool, Chill Downtempo and just relaxing. Excellent menu and daily specials. I ordered the Filet Mignon Sizzling Platter with a side of Jasmine rice, comes with a delicious bowl of broth. My friend ordered the Surf N Turf Sizzling Platter (Shrimp & Filet Mignon. Both were delicious!!

Amanda B.

Yelp
First time coming here on a whim. We had the firecracker shrimp with garlic noodles and sizzling filet mignon with rice. Both delicious! Unsweetened passion tea was also wonderful. Wish we ordered more garlic noodles!
google avatar

Jay M.

Yelp
Delicious but astronomically priced. They have the most delicious broth! You get it free in the onion soup when you order a $30 entree. The Pho is also delicious mid-high priced. I love the Firecracker shrimp and garlic noodles. Really loved the Lycheetinis! Of course they discontinued them. Best drink on the menu. They now have a lunchtime half assed Dim Sum menu. None of it is great And selections are limited. What Surprise really needs is a high quality Dim Sum Restaurant! I'm tired of driving to Mesa or Phoenix where Great Wall Cuisine has very good traditional Dim Sum pushed in carts from table to table! Now that's something to get excited about!!

Yelp
We stopped by here for quick bite to eat.l and man this place had a good pho. The inside was very modern and they had some great seating outside. The waiter was really nice and quick to get our order in before we had to get back to the office for our next meeting. We ordered the spring rolls, fried tofu and I ordered the vegetable pho for my lunch dish. The flavor was delicious and the accouterments were perfect here!

Yelp
I really am a multipurpose friend. I'm down for brunch, lunch, kicking ass, working out, whatever. Just let me know. So glad we stopped in this cute little spot. Everyone was attentive but not intrusive, our server Wayne was really sweet. We were able to snag a booth and enjoy a lovely lunch. Plenty of parking and intimate little setting with patio and bar availability. Loved the crunchy egg rolls, shrimp and pork spring rolls, steak and meatball pho (small is a generous size), and the combination vermicelli bowl. I appreciate the plate of pho fixings has all my favorite of hoisin and sriracha sauces. Didn't try the rice plates but will be back. Also happy hour is every day and generous offerings of menu items. Not to brag, but the goodness of this place makes me pick out the sweatpants I'll be wearing later for a couch date.

Yelp
This used to be a really good restaurant. Prices went up and quality wet down. We paid $60 for a single entree and a rice dish. We had water. The shrimp was overcooked and rubbery. The filet was medium well and tough to eat (we ordered it medium rare). Not sure how someone can ruin a filet but they managed to.
google avatar

Lex A.

Yelp
Customer service was amazing due to our server and the owner being hospitable. The style and ambiance is fancy definitely not your typical Vietnamese style restaurant. The food was okay. For the price I don't think the portion and the taste is worth it. Pho broth wasn't my preference it was more sweet and tasted too much like msg it was a decent bowl but the portion was really stingy for the price. Love the lounge and happy hour options. The lounge I believe is Thursday to Saturday starting at 5 pm with a piano player. Sounds like a fun time! Love this option for those that want pho with a different ambiance. I prefer Surprise Pho for taste. And price! Especially appreciated the server who was kind enough to give us a 10% discount for not eating the meats. They tasted frozen and were not tender at all especially the meatballs.
google avatar

Ardy R.

Yelp
This is our favorite restaurant in Surprise! We always get the same thing (Surf & Turf Fried Rice add Chicken) and we LOVE IT! The portion is big enough for us to share. We bring all our visiting friends and family here. They have all enjoyed it too. Restaurant has full bar and a great menu. One weird thing: when we dine in, we receive a cup of scallion broth included with the fried rice. When we pick it up to-go, they don't give us the broth. So bizarre. We even offered to bring our own container for it. I don't know what's up with that. But we love the food so much that we will always come back!! Lunch time is usually easy to get a table. But dinner time (especially Fri & Sat) is pretty busy.

Yelp
Atmosphere was nice and the service was good, but the food didn't blow us away. I'm used to being able to taste a range of flavors in Vietnamese. This was a little muted.
google avatar

Gisselle G.

Yelp
The vegetable pho with tofu was great and the broth was very flavorful. This place has great veg/vegan options like springs rolls and rice noodle dishes as well. Servers were very attentive and the atmosphere was nice as well.

Craig D.

Yelp
Luv firecracker shrimp with garlic noodles, spring rolls too! Friendly service. Great ambiance! Beer could be colder.
google avatar

G C.

Yelp
The wait for the food was insane. I ordered fire cracker shrimp garlic noodles & all I could taste was the overpowering flavor of butter with a strong garlic after taste. The Saigon fried rice had like a sweet breakfast sausage in it, we didn't enjoy it. The sweet & sour ribs were good & he sizzling surf & Turf was good. For dessert the creme Brule & butter cake were delicious but the banana dessert was not enjoyable.

Yelp
What an amazing dinner. We were celebrating a birthday and anniversary. We ordered the Dumplings and wings for appetizers, absolutely delicious. The dumplings were new to the menu and were awesome! We were a party of eight and everyone loved their meals!!!!Haley was our server who goes above and beyond Thx Haley And thank you Dennis for having an amazing restaurant. And Wade said thank you so much for the birthday crème brûlée. It was delicious. Sincerely Julie & Wade

Yelp
The food was really good but what stood out was the service. Drinks in a few minutes. Food several minutes following that. Very attentive staff. Quite the opposite of several understaffed restaurants that I have been to lately including one that presents themselves as fine dining.

Suphakarn G.

Yelp
It is a busy restaurant (for Thursday at dinner time) but service should not be compromised. My husband set with an empty 1st soda glass until we left the restaurant, our waitstaff never ask if he wanted a refill. Our starter soup was room temperature. My salmon was good but my husband's lemongrass chicken garlic noodle was okay. He said that it would probably be better if the meat wasn't so dry.
google avatar

Keith H.

Yelp
Excellent experience. Atmosphere was warm and welcoming, Service and food were both upper eschalon! Had the pleasure of meeting the owner who really has done a great job in creating multiple experiences with the restaurant and lounge next door for those looking to grab a drink and enjoy a kid free environment. We will definitely be here often
google avatar

Hachi H.

Yelp
The ambiance is stylish but, can also be enjoyed for casual dining. We went after hiking. The food is gorgeous and beyond delectable! We had the clay pot caramelized salmon and the rice vermicelli with beef. We also experienced wonderful service. Highly recommend!

Maria O.

Yelp
Me and my boyfriend came here for lunch today, service was good, good came out within ten minutes of ordering, the food was amazing definitely a 10/10

Sharon W.

Yelp
Great food I have eaten there several times. Always great service and good food! Not very big but never had a problem. Also always nice and clean.

Yelp
This is a new dish coming very soon if it isn't already on the menu. The customer service was amazing and we did not wait long for our food. The quality of the food is 100%. The place was very clean and the lounge rooms are BEAUTIFUL.

Nolitz G.

Yelp
We are regulars and love the tasty food and friendly service. I recommend the fresh rolls with peanut sauce, fried rice, vermicelli salad
google avatar

Chrystian G.

Yelp
I was recently sick and wanted some soup so I decided to try Saigon kitchen. I got a combination soup and I added some vegetables to it. Definitely good broth a nice amount of meat that was given to me in the broth also worth the vegetables I wish I could've been a little bit more, but it was a great portion for what it was. The dining area was clean and very upscale look to it, so it was nice and comfortable service was also great We had a party next to us that had a bunch of appetizers that looked amazing. I'm deafly coming back to try some of those out they do have an app happy hour that I will have to check out

Yelp

Yelp
100/10. This place was absolutely phenomenal, within our first bite of every dish, we knew this would be a family favorite and we would definitely be back. I got two orders of the poke nachos, that's how good they were. It's salmon poke instead of tuna, it tastes super fresh and it had jalapeños and cilantro in it, which is my favorite way to eat poke. I will order these every time we go here now. My boyfriend had the filet and eggs sandwich and it was so good, the meat was tender and juicy and pop of jalapeños was good, he finished it quick. Both of my kids loved the chicken pho and lemongrass chicken. And at the end we had the sesame balls with ice cream and they were perfection. The crisp of the outside with the soft inside was so good, I'm usually not a sweets person but this was the perfect mix of salty and sweet. The service was also exceptional, the waiters were super attentive and we met the owner who was amazing and you could instantly tell he loves what he does and takes joy in his business. The restaurant is beautiful as well, it has a high class vibe that is perfect for any occasion. If you're questioning whether to go here or not, just go, you'll absolutely love it.
google avatar

Mindy T.

Yelp
We ordered the filet mignon clay pot, poke nachos, and chicken banh mi. All of the food tasted like an interpretation of what the flavors should be, but result as overuse of soy sauce and sugar. The banh mi and poke had an overwhelming amount of american mayonnaise. Bread was cold and tough, resembling jimmy john's more than a banh mi. Lastly, prices are crazy. Appetizers average about $20 a dish and entrees about $30 a dish, for a maximum of 5 pieces of meat each dish. The food and prices feel colonized and not authentic at all.
google avatar

Dave D.

Yelp
We've come here a few times and always liked it, but today was exceptional. The food is fantastic and our server, Ignacio, should teach seminars on how it's done. In fact, the staff were all great. Don't miss out on this gem.
google avatar

Marx M.

Yelp
Good service, quiet place, the food was ok, but nothing special. Not bad, not great.
google avatar

Dennis H.

Yelp
This is one of those places we used to love. The makeover was amazing, but the food prices escalated. It has a bar. It's close to being too expensive for what you get. You have to be the judge. It's clean and complete. If a visitor has never had Vietnam food, it won't disappoint!
google avatar

Nicole R.

Yelp
My friends love this place It's beautifully designed, service is very good. I'm a pretty clean eater so it was hard to find something for me. I order the stir fry and it was so sweet I had to send it back and ask if there was a way to not have whatever sauce was on it. They made me a new one and said " this should be less sweet" ‍ I said I wanted "no sweetness" I ate just the chicken. The soup had a weird taste, I couldn't eat it. The salad was again too sweet. Now with that being said .... Everyone loved their food. So this is a hard one for me ... I wouldn't go back but my friends and husband really liked it
google avatar

Michele G.

Yelp
My husband and I were visiting family in the Surprise area but before we could hear back home, I started feeling my hanger swiftly build. I knew it would fully take over before we could make it back to the metro Phoenix area so we quickly found this spot. The reviews were super promising so we decided to check it out. Although the description says this is a cafe, once we entered the restaurant we realized it was designed to come across a bit more upscale. The prices reflected this too. I wouldn't say it was formal dining by any means, but there was something about the ambiance that I can't exactly put my finger on that made it seem more formal than what I expected. Service was good and we were greeted promptly by our server. When asked, she told us about their most popular dishes so we made sure to order at least one of them. Food was pretty good but did not have a ton of seasoning or flavor. For example, the fire cracker shrimp was more creamy and not spicy at all as I would have expected from the "fire" in fire cracker shrimp. The house salad was very simple and consisted of large pieces of romaine lettuce with a few sprinkles of their house made dressing. House soup was a broth with a few sprinkles of green onions, no tofu. The shrimp fried rice was lacking in flavor and honestly the veggies (and rice) seem like they may have been frozen. For the price of the dishes, I feel the flavors could have been a bit more complex. I bet Saigon Kitchen is a gem for its location here and I love that Surprise is opening up more diverse, local, non-chain restaurants. I hope Saigon Kitchen continues to thrive in this location.

Yelp
Ate here for the first time about a month ago with family. Excellent food! Excellent service. I highly recommend.

Phyllis M.

Yelp
We heard great things about Saigon Kitchen so I made reservations for Saturday night at 7pm. We arrived right at 7:00 and the place was packed. Our table was ready, so the hostess promptly seated us. She brought menus, small plates with utensils, and said our server would be right there. Sadly, that wasn't true. We waited 20 minutes during which no one stopped to talk to us, even in passing or offer to bring water or drinks, so at 7:25 we left and walked over to the Longhorn for dinner. Maybe we'll try again on a weekday.

Yelp
We had a lovely and attentive server. The restaurant was very clean and nicely decorated. There were six of us, we each ordered something different. Everything was very, very sweet. I wasn't expecting every dish to have the same level of syrupy sweetness. It was off putting. We were there for a birthday and ordered two desserts: the Saigon Dessert (tempura fried bananas) and the Fried Cheesecake Egg Roll. With each the batter/wonton overwhelmed the flavors. You could barely taste the banana and there was absolutely no hint of cheesecake. The vanilla ice cream was good.
