"Tucked inside a strip mall along Western Ave. in Koreatown, this sleek, modern ramen bar has six different ramen on the menu, but the one you want is the spicy shoyu tonkotsu. For those who fear the heat, know it’s more rich than spicy, filled with a decadent pork broth that’s been simmered for 24 hours. The noodles have a nice chew and the thick slabs of pork belly chashu floating on top basically melt the second they hit your mouth. Round out your meal with their equally excellent shrimp katsu sandwich and a pint of crisp Japanese craft beer.  " - Brant Cox, Sylvio Martins, Nikko Duren, Garrett Snyder

My boyfriend and I have been this place twice now and we absolutely love it. The place is a little small but very nice and clean. Parking could be a little tough because it is a small lot but we have gotten lucky and have been able to find a spot each time. The first time we went in a group of four. There was only one waitress there and the place was pretty full. But she did a fantastic job, she gave great service. They were always on top on waters as well. The food is absolutely delicious. Honestly everything is pretty darn good. The spicy tonkotsu ramen is really good, with a nice spice to it. I absolutely loved the shrimp katsu sandwich, the bread is nice and fluffy and they get the perfect crust on it. Gyoza and lotus truffle chips are freaken delicious. My boyfriend and I drove 35 mins out of our way for their ramen and they did not disappoint. I highly recommend this place. All the food is delicious and the service is always really nice and attentive.

Had been meaning to come for so long and all my expectations were met. Very good ramen spot and probably, alongside Iki Ramen nearby in K-Town, the best ramen spot in LA. Everything from the appetizers to the noodles were done well. Chicken karaage, pan fried gyoza and lobster croquettes were all really good. So was the chicken katsu sando and the mazemen my friends and I all split. And the gyokutso ramen was fantastic. 36h bone marrow broth with sous vide USDA prime short rib and mirepoix oil hit it out the park. Highly recommend and would like to come back again soon. Please try to support this place.

We ordered 2 tontaksu ramen and it's definitely become one of my favorite spots. The broth and noodles were perfect and the server was very kind!

Sat outside and enjoyed excellent mazemen at Saikai. Gochugaru pepper added sweetness to the noodles. Also enjoyed delicious gyoza. Service was super friendly. Great experience, chef-driven original noodles, and definitely among LA's best ramen places.

Perhaps the best ramen broth I’ve tried and I’ve tried quite a few. It’s on the lighter side and very flavorful. I had the beef ramen. No chashu in this one. They ask you if you want the egg. The eggs here are perfect, no kidding! Their gyoza are awesome. They’ve got crispy edges. Great presentation. There’s a lot which becomes valet when it’s busy. Meter parking nearby. You can also park in the adjacent neighborhood.

Hands down the best bentos in town. Just absolutely some of the most gorgeous and refreshing meals ever ordered. It's also a great value for the amount and quality you receive. I've only managed to get delivery and its arrives quickly and well packed. I can only imagine how much better it'll be once i make it over to dine in. Going down the list on their menu but the Shrimp Katsu is seriously the best lunch or dinner option. Oh, order extra pickles if you can!

We enjoyed our first time here. Started with the fried brussel sprouts. They were good, but next time we will try some other appetizers. We liked the Wagu with Chimmichurri. The Shrimp Sando bento was delicious. The server was terrific.

4.5 stars rounded to 5 Solid lunch spot! Checked it out for the first time today and it got busy soon after we got sat (around 1-1:30pm). The server was lovely, she was handling the entire restaurant by herself. Bf ordered the chashu bowl bento which came with one side (bf got chicken karaage), side salad, and side fruit salad. The veggies and fruits were fresh and so delicious. Hard to believe it was that fresh and good for it being a side menu. I got the spicy tonkatsu ramen with an order of the soft boiled egg ($1.50 extra). Spice level wise, it was on the milder side, but it was perfect as it didn’t overpower over the other flavors of the broth. Noodles were cooked perfectly.
