New Boat Bar Sailor’s Choice Opens in NYC | Eater NY
"Opening in Hudson Yards, this breezy, seasonal seafood bar from Alex and Miles Pincus brings a relaxed New England seafood-shack vibe to a corporate stretch of Manhattan near Time Warner and Meta. Built around a vintage Hinckley fishing boat (loaned by the Barton & Gray mariners’ club) that’s docked on land and surrounded by counter seating, a large deck with yellow-and-white striped umbrellas, and nautical chairs, the project seats about 200 and also features a second cocktail bar housed in a retro Airstream. Part of the brothers’ Crew hospitality group — which includes Grand Banks, Drift In, Pilot, Island Oyster, Holywater, High Tide and Fairweather — it was conceived quickly after a Hudson River Park gala pitch and aims for an unfussy, post-sailing feel (a cold beer poured over ice). The menu leans into New England seafood classics: lobster BLT ($27), fish and chips ($29), surf club sandwich ($21), caviar tater tots ($27), and oysters ($23–$29 for six, $43–$55 a dozen); cocktails range from a watermelon-and-vodka Tropicalia to spritzes and “yacht club” martinis and gin-and-tonics ($18–$21), plus wines and beers — including frosty brews over ice with lime for $7." - Melissa McCart
