Biggest NYC Restaurant Openings in June 2025 | Eater NY

"A 200-seat outdoor bar from Crew, the team behind boat bars like Grand Banks, offering a waterfront-inspired, casual drink program; the name references a signature cold brew over ice with a lime and the space emphasizes large outdoor capacity." - Melissa McCart

Sailor's Choice - Review - New York - The Infatuation

"From the same crew behind Grand Banks, Sailor’s Choice is a bar that’s not exactly on a boat, but it is around one, in a large-sectioned off area in Hudson Yards. Spritzes, oysters and more post-work-friendly food is on the menu, and there’s a view of The Vessel and the river. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Sonal Shah

New Boat Bar Sailor’s Choice Opens in NYC | Eater NY

"Opening in Hudson Yards, this breezy, seasonal seafood bar from Alex and Miles Pincus brings a relaxed New England seafood-shack vibe to a corporate stretch of Manhattan near Time Warner and Meta. Built around a vintage Hinckley fishing boat (loaned by the Barton & Gray mariners’ club) that’s docked on land and surrounded by counter seating, a large deck with yellow-and-white striped umbrellas, and nautical chairs, the project seats about 200 and also features a second cocktail bar housed in a retro Airstream. Part of the brothers’ Crew hospitality group — which includes Grand Banks, Drift In, Pilot, Island Oyster, Holywater, High Tide and Fairweather — it was conceived quickly after a Hudson River Park gala pitch and aims for an unfussy, post-sailing feel (a cold beer poured over ice). The menu leans into New England seafood classics: lobster BLT ($27), fish and chips ($29), surf club sandwich ($21), caviar tater tots ($27), and oysters ($23–$29 for six, $43–$55 a dozen); cocktails range from a watermelon-and-vodka Tropicalia to spritzes and “yacht club” martinis and gin-and-tonics ($18–$21), plus wines and beers — including frosty brews over ice with lime for $7." - Melissa McCart

Well you can enjoy your drink or snack there but at first there is no host/hostess. So I wasn't sure whether I can pick my seat or do I have to wait to be seated.. Even if you have menu on your table the staff won't come to your table. This place is almost self service. Overall good for short stop on a sunny day.

Lovely place after a busy day in New York. Chill atmosphere, wonderful views and great food /drinks. We ordered oysters and Lobster BLT, everything was fresh and yummy (definitely NOT stingy on the lobster). Very friendly and cheerful staff that make your day even better :)

Amazing little pop up at Hudson Yards. Drinks, food and service are all on point. What a perfect addition to this area!!! Perfect spot for a nice summer evening of dinner and drinks.

If you are looking for a great view this is the perfect place to be. However, if you want good food, bar service and pleaseant waitstaff AVOID AT ALL COST!!!!. We waited over a half an hr for initial waitress contact. The waitress didn't get my mom and I our appetizer/drinks. Waitress brought drinks for a couple of guys but not us. I made eye contact with the waitress. She then came to our table and said "bar is running behind." My mother and I waited 10-20 minutes no drinks, no food only 3 tables with people who already had food and drinks. Then came to out table again and said the same thing. We just left. Very disappointed.

Well I don’t know how to start… the people that work here are extremely racist!!!!! I speak Spanish but the guy in the front was so rude!!! I spoke to him in English and he respond in a broken Spanish!!!! I asked what happened with Verano? In a nice way!!!!!! And he said oh I don’t know you should call them like in a sarcastic way in a BROKEN SPANISH !!!! The bartender was extremely rude when ordering our drinks and kept complaining that they were closing and were in last call. We confirmed we only wanted one drink and had an attitude the entire time yet was profoundly attentive to other folks ofc. I left a tip because I refused to be judged give her more reasons to be racist but I should’ve left 0 got her service and attitude. It’s one thing if she were just a grouch and another if she’s a grouch to once group and nice to another. says a lot. Won’t be coming back and don’t recommend to POC/latinos!

Just ate lunch with my wife here on 4th of July. Food and cocktails were tasty.

The location at sunset is very nice and the waitress was lovely and that part of the service was great. However, the drinks were super slow to come out and shared food was delivered to tables long before any drinks, with no individual plates. When we asked at the kitchen window for some plates they told us to go back and wait for a server, despite a stack of plates being right beside the staff member at the window. The food was ok, but not great for the price. The oysters were very good, but the fish was a little dry and although I like a bit of salt, the fries were over salted and not enjoyable. There is a need for them to increase the ratio of bar staff as waiting for over 20 minutes for drinks on each round shouldn’t be the norm. I think this place will be good for tourists who have low expectations.

Google
This is a stereo typical tourist trap. It’s not on the water, you either look at the vessel or stare at the west side highway. The service at the table was abysmal. Our original server was great, Robert, but then he got cut or repositioned. Our new server didn’t know what wines by the glass they had, what Sancerre is, had to beg for service. He had a TERRIBLE work ethic. Super limited menu. I’d skip this in a heartbeat and go elsewhere.

Yelp
Great spot to grab a cold beer (or drink) after climbing around on the Vessel. A working lobster boat is at the center and they have live music every Wednesday evening until the weather turns.

Yelp
Excellent cocktails and good oysters! We loved the "get on up" (tequila-based) and the Aperol spritz. We also got a dozen Montauk oysters and fries (which came with spicy ketchup). The bartender was friendly and service was attentive. Outdoor seating only. Not a bad spot to grab a quick drink while in Hudson Yards!

Yelp
A little pricey but well worth it for Hudson Yards. Food, atmosphere, and service were really good. Great for parties.

Yelp
If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Ordered the cheeseburger and fish and chips. Fish was fresh, well seasoned, and delicious. The chips (technically their French fries but still) are seasoned really well with a nice tang and a slight spice to them. Cheeseburger was delicious, the sauce they use is something else. Service was fantastic, lovely waitstaff, fast and efficient even in 90 degree weather. Nice ambiance in the late afternoon, nice view of the Hudson. Can't wait to come back when I'm in Hudson Yard
