Where to Order a Birthday Cake in Portland, Oregon | Eater Portland

"Saint Cupcake has been a go-to for cupcakes since the mid-2000s cupcake mania. All the flavors, like the crowd-pleasing Salty Captain (chocolate with caramel buttercream and caramel sauce) and red velvet, are also available in miniature as dots. The cheery downtown location is spacious, with giant windows and a whisk-shaped bike rack out front. The bakery also makes custom cakes in flavors like toasted coconut and hot fudge, starting at $40. Email hello@saintcupcake.com or call to place an order." - Brooke Jackson-Glidden

I’ve been coming to st. cupcake since I was a little girl and they have never disappointed! Anything with their cream cheese frosting will be amazing. My personal favorites are the coconut and carrot cake.

Alright this is amongst those places where one has to visit at least once in their life. I have been going here for about 10 years now. Amongst my favorite are the chocolate with cream cheese frosting, vanilla with cream frosting, coconut, and red velvet. They have 2 sizes, the dot and the full size. If you go an hour before they close, they are 1/2 priced. They also have ice cream cakes but I have never tried it. You can also pre order here.

I ordered cupcakes and a cake for an 80th birthday party I was throwing for a dear friend. Oh my goodness. They were so delicious. They were kind enough to change out the sprinkles and decorations to match the colors of our party. We had the carrot cake as our 8" 3 tiered cake and there wasn't a crumb of it left. We also had lemon, vanilla with chocolate buttercream, red velvet and toasted coconut cupcakes. Everyone was asking where they came from and raving about how delicious it was. If you need treats for a party don't hesitate to reach out to Saint Cupcake!

Google
Can’t say enough about this sweet Cupcake shop on the corner! Super friendly staff and absolutely divine cupcakes! Our favorites were the coconut and strawberry. If you like icing you will LOVE this shop!!!

Google
The cupcakes from this place are addictive and the service was so kind and thoughtful. I came in on a whim after walking past the store several times and was greeted in the most kind way. The lady helping me was so patient and kind and didn’t make me feel stressed whatsoever about taking forever to decide what I wanted. I also happened to be there during cupcake happy hour, so it was half off !! Will definitely be back and I recommend you go if you’re reading this review.

Google
We tried the vegan cupcake with the pink frosting. It was very light and airy and good. We tried the salty Captain, which was a light fluffy vanilla kind of cupcake with a caramel buttercream and flaky sea salt on top. Then we tried a strawberry/rhubarb. It was basically a vanilla cupcake but the topping had a nice rhubarb jelly on the frosting. We tried a lemon cupcake and it had great lemon flavor on top but again just a vanilla cupcake. We also tried a hot fudge chocolates cupcake... basic chocolate cupcake but the hot fudge topping was extremely rich. We tried carrot cake (which is my favorite) very good, nicely spiced with cream cheese frosting. We tried a classic vanilla and it was a regular vanilla cupcake with vanilla cream cheese frosting (very yummy). Toasted coconut was good but not very coconuty... It had a vanilla cupcake with coconut buttercream and toasted coconut on top (would have been much better with a coconut vanilla cupcake). I adore that they offer minis and regular size. Service was friendly and informative. Atmosphere was clean, bright and playful. Recommend for me!

Stopped here after leaving Jake's seafood down the street. The two ladies behind the counter were so very friendly & Welcoming. Really a wonderful mix of cupcakes everything from carrot cake to red velvet cake, etc........ I was surprised they had such a nice selection of vegan cupcakes as well . I will definitely be stopping here again.

Google
I got the strawberry, coconut and caramel. By far some of the best cupcakes I have had. The frosting was so flavorful. The Carmel was salty and tasted like one of those soft Carmel candies. A bit overpriced but was worth the yummy treat.

Yelp
Stumbled on Saint Cupcake walking around the area. It caught my wife's eye because it "looks so cute!" For me, it was the cupcakes. I'm a sucker for a good cupcake. Saint did not disappoint either. Everything from the environment, to the customer service and the food was awesome. We ended up with one larger cupcake and three mini ones. All of them were moist and flavorful. Sometimes mini cupcakes can be dry but not here! They also have ice creams and ice cream sandwiches. Definitely recommend.

Yelp
Order: Boston Cream Dot; Lemon Curd Dot, Chocolate Fudge Dot; Toasted Coconut Pros: not overly priced and they offer small cupcakes called dots. They have your traditional flavors and some new ones. The star of the show was the toasted coconut for me. It was really really good. Cons: The Boston Cream was lost in flavor because it was overpowered by the dark chocolate frosting they chose to use. Additionally, the cream is placed on the outside instead of inside the cupcake, which I think contributed to me not being able to taste the custard. On the flip side, the lemon curd was super duper tart and that overpowered the cupcake. I actually did not finish this one.

Yelp
Great business for special occasions. The most recent was a birthday celebration that included a range of ages from 2 years old to 77 years old. The dots (small cakes) were perfect for little fingers. The regular sized cakes were performed the older children and adults. We enjoyed two flavors: carrot cake and chocolate with salted caramel frosting. Nothing is too sweet and the ratio of frosting to cake is well balanced. However, every flavor we've tasted in the past has been outstanding. One cannot go wrong here. The interior is clean and inviting. The spotless glass display cases allow you to consider all the available options. All look delicious. Always good service with typically easy street parking, St. Cupcakes is my go-to for celebrations that include dessert.

Yelp
I love this place!! They're so neat and clean here and the cupcakes are amazing!!! I ordered a 6-pack for my sister's birthday and she loved them!! The staff were all so nice and kind and moved the lines very quickly!! I'll definitely be back again soon!

Yelp
I've always enjoyed Saint Cupcakes. There cupcakes are always moist and reliable. I love the flavors. My favorites in order which is hard to do but 1) chocolate with cream cheese frosting 2) toasted coconut cream 3) carrot cake 4) red velvet 5) vanilla with cream cheese frosting I recently got them on the too good to go app, thinking I would just get a couple cupcakes. They were super generous with it! I got a dozen mini cupcakes for a great deal and the cupcakes felt very fresh. I got a chance to try a lot of flavors that I typically wouldn't have ordered.

Yelp
I've heard their name so many times but have never seen or tried their wares until now. I had placed an order on Ubereats and it offered an additional order with them! I had been craving cake so why not. I genuinely thought all the hype was just hype and I admit defeat. These are DELICIOUS cupcakes! I ordered 3 to try: coconut cream, confetti with vanilla buttercream and chocolate with chocolate buttercream. Each one was absolutely amazing and it took days to get through them so they lasted. I am a huge frosting lover so these being piled high with that was so wonderful. It was so great that they came up on my Ubereats since I really am rarely near their location and I am not huge on dropping into a bakery, especially if I genuinely don't know how their products are.

Yelp
My partner and I have been going here for years, and it's always been one of our favorite cupcake shops. My all time favorite is the toasted coconut and carrot cake! Service is always great, and environment is always happy!

Yelp
Fantastic job with cupcakes. I ordered 80 mini cupcakes and 6 regular cupcakes through grub hub. They were prompted and packaged well. Moist and not too sweet cupcakes. A nice variety of cupcakes. Mini cupcakes are $2 each and full cupcakes are $4 each. Perfect for kids and adults!
google avatar

Yelp
I visited this spot while on vacation and was attracted to the decor. Great marketing! I've been to a lot of cupcake places during my travels throughout the US and hands down this is the cutest store, cupcake selection is abundant (in both mini and regular size), cupcakes were moist and yummy! I tried the carrot cake, salty chocolate, chocolate hot fudge, and peanut butter fudge. All yummy!

Yelp
We usually order from St. Cupcake for birthdays or special occasions. They deliver, but whenever possible I stop in to pickup because the place smells incredible and has a magical aura. Love it.
google avatar

Margo V.

Yelp
Cupcake lovers must stop here! So many flavor options and so delicious. You have the option to buy a small cupcake called a "dot" for $2/each or full cupcakes for $4/each. I went for the dots so I could try multiple flavors at once. The woman at the counter was super friendly and helpful. She told us about her favorite cupcake (the salty captain I believe it was called? Basically salt, caramel and chocolate) which included stories and me trying it! My friend has told me to try their red velvet, but unfortunately they were out of the dots. They said sometimes they have more in the back, but did not for the red velvet. The place was cute and small. There were a few seats where you could sit and eat your cakes, but it felt more like a "get your cake and go" place. They also sell popcorn, but that was off to the side. The cupcakes were the main attraction.
google avatar

Yelp
we ordered a box of 6 cupcakes. red velvet (vegan) x 2, those were the last ones of red velvet in the store! I'm not vegan but the cupcakes did not disappoint. just right amount of moist and sweetness. toasted coconut was a recommendation from friends and family but personally it was a bit too sweet for me in the cream base just underneath the frosting with the toasted coconut. Surprisingly chocolate cupcake with fudge was PERFECT! lastly the chocolate buttercream chocolate cupcake was also on the more rich and decadent side. $3.75 for each of those "full size" and I believe the minis were $2.25-2.75. I loved my red velvet so I had to order them all in full size. Parking was a bit hard since it is all off street parking, first come first serve and use paid meter to avoid towing/fines. the location itself is on a corner and coming onto one way traffic so we did have to drive around a bit to find parking. The store itself also had a lot of merchandise for parties and birthdays. Their homemade popcorn and not currently in season but they did have homemade cookies too. Ice cream sandwiches also! Will definitely come back again when I have my chocolate and red velvet cupcake cravings!

Lucy D.

Yelp
Delicious cupcakes, service was great.. Definitely worth the price of the cupcakes. My favorite was the coconut and red velvet.
google avatar

Jackie M.

Yelp
Delicious cupcakes, beautifully decorated. The flavor combos are pretty basic, but I can't complain about chocolate cake with chocolate frosting. At four dollars each, the price is a bit high if you need a large quantity, but it's the perfect treat for a small birthday gathering or random Wednesday in my case.
google avatar

Yelp
I went there to purchase cupcakes for my son's birthday party. All the kids at the party love them so I guess they were good even though I thought the cupcakes were just okay. The location was horrible. I didn't feel safe at all with so many homeless tents around the shop. I didn't want to park on the street so I parked at a smart park on the 10th. I saw many wandering homeless people while walking the few blocks to the shop. Portland, do something about it! My rating is 3 stars because I didn't feel welcomed when I entered the shop and the cupcakes were just okay.

Yelp
Cupcakes are one of those desserts which are very difficult to stand out. So many places simply take the philosophy of throwing enough crap on top of a cupcake or jamming it full of filling in hopes that it will cover up a mediocre taste. But if you don't have a good cupcake, it doesn't matter what you put inside or on top of it. Saint Cupcake takes a minimalistic approach to these treats. Let me just tell you that their attention to detail on making the cupcake as moist and flavorful as possible really pays off. Granted, they do have some amazing frosting and toppings. We ordered 48 mini cupcakes for a birthday party with varying flavors and they were all a huge hit! The store was easy to deal with and the cupcakes were fresh and ready for pick up at the time they said they would be. This is definitely a cupcake heaven I would recommend to everyone.

Yelp
St. Cupcake is fantastic! They helped me to have a multi-tier tower of delicious mini cupcakes for my wedding in 2008. I love going to this shop on my anniversary to get a few cupcakes for my hubby and I. They have some standard favorite flavors like red velvet and also get creative with seasonal fun flavors. Do yourself a favor and go get some tasty cupcakes!!!
google avatar

Yelp
I've visited Saint Cupcake twice so far! Both times that I went the employees were very friendly and were ready to answer any questions that I might have. It's small and nice insides. Besides the cupcakes, they also sell popcorn, cakes which one needs to special order, cookies and some pastries. I was tempted by the cute Halloween and Christmas iced cookies during my visits. I got the vanilla maple pecan cupcake during both visits in the full size which is a seasonal flavor. I got the lemon sparkle during my second visit in full size which is a seasonal flavor. The maple icing was delicious and smooth on the vanilla maple pecan. The cookie was nice touch. It didn't have much flavor though. The cake was moist and had a good amount of pecans. I loved the lemon sparkle. The lemon curd and the icing worked together well. Since it was towards the end of the day during my second visit, I got the cupcakes for two of the price of one. If you're looking for a delicious dessert in Downtown Portland, Saint Cupcake is your spot!

Yelp
Decent cupcakes. They only had two kinds left-chocolate chip or toasted coconut. Actual coconut is one of my favorite flavors in dessert so I opted for that one. Even though they were lacking in inventory, serendipitously I came during what I'll call a "dessert happy hour" in which the cupcakes were buy one get one free. This occurs between 4-5 daily. I will say that the cupcake cake part itself was a little plain, even for basic vanilla cake, although VERY moist and not extremely dense! A plus in my book! The frosting was delicious, a standard cream cheese frosting that was more creamy than sweet (which doesn't happen often), covered with tons of toasted coconut. What I didn't like about the cupcake as a whole was the frosting to cake ratio. There was easily two times more frosting than cake which made it hard to consume because it was so top heavy. Perhaps next time I'd try the smaller size cupcakes they look a little more proportional in terms of frosting vs cake, and there are more flavors to try without feeling too gluttonous. Will repost upon next visit.

Yelp
Okay. This place is actually super awesome! The cupcakes are SO GOOD. And yeah they're expensive but like... SO worth it! Really nice staff when I went in. The shop is cute and clean. Nice variety of flavors. I got an assortment and it was so good! I didn't want to share. Seriously delicious. The pictures I see in reviews look like a transportation problem. The business is not really at fault for that.

Yelp
We stopped in after lunch to get a treat for after dinner tonight. It has been a long time since we have visited. They have both small and medium sized cupcakes. They are perfectly sized, a nice treat, but not too big. We got some chocolate and fudge. Mine were lemon sparkle and s'mores. Yum and yum. Glad we stopped in.

Yelp
I ordered 36 mini cupcakes for my boyfriends birthday. I emailed Saint Cupcake on a Tuesday asking for an order on Saturday. They replied extremely quickly and we were able to handle the order very easily. They even asked if I wanted any vegan cupcakes in my order and I appreciated the attention to detail. I picked up the cupcakes easily and everyone enjoyed them very much! Delicious. Definitely would recommend!

Yelp
I wanted to stop by Friday, first visit, to pick up a few mini cupcakes for my hubby's Bday. I'm always looking for good cupcakes wherever I live or visit, and the reviews were good. I was able to find parking right outside, thank goodness, and while they were busy working inside, I was the only customer at that time. They have a small menu of options right at the counter, a decent amount of frosting options, although not a huge selection of cake choices other than the standard. The service was pleasant. I did notice that pumpkin spice was marked off as I was choosing, but she offered to check for me. Although I was excited to hear she did have one, unfortunately when I got home there was no pumpkin in my box. . All the other flavors chosen were accounted for though. Overall we really enjoyed all 6 of them, and my husband was surprised. (I grabbed a small crown and a candle to finish off the dessert surprise). We both felt they were the best cupcakes we've had so far in the area, and will definitely be back.

Carol M.

Yelp
Excellent, friendly and helpful service! The cupcakes were moist and the frostings were not overly sweet. Especially loved the cream cheese one. It is nice to have the dot cupcakes which are just right for kids and adults who are trying to not indulge too much!
google avatar

Yelp
In a donut crazy city, Saint Cupcake is King! Give me a fluffy, moist cupcake topped with light, airy buttercream or rich cream cheese icing any day! The cupcakes come in regular and "dot" sizes, perfect for a little something sweet or to try several varieties. The dots look gorgeous in tiered serving platters, they are fun and festive. While I'm a huge dark chocolate fan / consumer, when it comes to cake, I'm a total vanilla fan. The classic vanilla with chocolate buttercream frosting is always my choice. Their buttercream is so light! Usually I take half the icing off a cupcake, but at Saint Cupcake, I eat it all! Vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream or vanilla cream cheese would be my next choices. Now, after stating that I prefer vanilla cake, I must point out an exception. Their chocolate cake with a caramel buttercream icing topped with sea salt is a winner! And if there is ever a seasonal s'more cupcake, I'm all in! We have ordered for celebrations at the office and they are always a big hit. Have purchased for birthday and graduation parties. And we pick up a box of cupcakes or dots just because , well, they are cupcakes! There is always a reason to have one even if that reason is just because we can! The shop itself is adorable and the displays are pure eye candy. They have delicious cookies and salted brownies, heavenly cinnamon rolls, and even scones for those who prefer a different type of sweet. And all the items you need to go along with the celebration - candles, napkins, etc. Located right on Morrison, if I'm passing the shop and I see a parking spot, I'm going in! Late afternoons they often have a BOGO, a sweet deal!
google avatar

Angel F.

Yelp
Again- not big on sweets, but every now and then i crave a big top or a toasted coconut cupcake, it's the ONLY place I'll go for a cupcake! Note: they often sell out of the full sizes and the popular ones early, so be prepared to leave empty handed if you go late in the day.
google avatar

RJ N.

Yelp
Amazing, the cupcake to frosting ratio is perfect. The frosting is not too sweet. The cupcake is super moist. They have regular and small cupcakes so you can try all kinds of different options. I highly recommend

Wei L.

Yelp
I ordered two dozens of varieties of colorful cupcakes for pickup two day in advance for my daughter's birthday party. I came to pick up in the afternoon of the scheduled pick-up date. There were three cup cakes missing from the box. The sales person ask me to pick up three from the only variety left that day and gave me an unconvincing explanation. Guess that I think? I think that some customers did not like the choice left that day and the sales person left them pick out my reserved box. I can picture that other customer put their whole face over the my box and probably while talking. The store has to pay for their mistakes. I would never ever shop there ever again! I would not encourage business that do not have high ethical standards.
google avatar

Jonathan S.

Yelp
After a long week and no time to make myself a birthday cake, I decided to buy some local cupcakes. I am SO glad that I made that decision. Ordering from Saint Cupcake was so easy, and speaking with their staff, I was excited for the variety of treats I would have for a small celebration with my COVID-bubble. Both their vegan and normal cupcakes are a great option, and I loved that they have two sizes of cupcakes for a lovely selection. Whether you're looking for a single sweet treat, or a number of items for a lovely celebration - head on over to Saint Cupcake. p.s., I am glad I ordered more than enough - more treats throughout the weekend!

Yelp
St. Cupcake is a nice gourmet cupcake shop in downtown Portland. I used DoorDash to order basic vanilla and chocolate cupcakes from this shop, usually with buttercream frosting, some vegan, some made with dairy (butter, sugar, and eggs). Vanilla with chocolate buttercream was pretty good, as was vanilla with vanilla buttercream. They also sell popcorns such as caramel flavored popcorn and orange flavored popcorn. Thanks!
google avatar

Ada M.

Yelp
Really Delicious moist and flavorful cupcakes. They also have cupcake happy hour, which is awesome. The only thing is the people on my experience have not been the friendliest. They were not able to get a cake written wit my name on it for some weird reason. It was frustrating to deal with that, because the women was like well " that's too bad" I've only dealt with her once. The other people were fine. It's still a great place for delicious tasting cupcakes.
google avatar

Anne L.

Yelp
Came in to Order 24 mini cupcakes. (Easily spent $42)I asked for a variety of the popular ones. It was nicely packaged. They don't have any samples unfortunately. You would hope they'd have some deal for buying so many but they don't. The website mentioned seasonal pies but they didn't have any available when I came in. I'll have to try their cookies and ice creams next time. Limited pay to park available on the street. Everyone devoured the cupcakes and enjoyed the fun variety.

Auna N.

Yelp
The customer service was terrible, first thing I was asked when I entered was stated by the employees and "what do you want". I didn't even have a chance to look at the cupcakes, so I said "I want cupcakes". She goes "yeah but which ones?". I was taken back by the lack of customer service, especially since I was the only customer there. Not only that, but she got my order wrong. Leaving out a cupcake I had ordered and giving me one I didn't ask for. Lastly, these cupcakes are way overpriced. $3.50 for a small cupcake that you could make at home?? I'll pass. I've included a picture for reference of how small they are.

Yelp
I love Saint Cupcakes and last time I was there the gal helping us was delightful. So delightful we ended up buying more! Their cake is sooooooo moist, not dry like many cupcake joints. I feel like this is the thing that sets most cupcakes apart: dryness of cake, without being under-cooked and gooey. The frosting is important too, but Saint Simon is great in that they have a variety of frostings to keep all camps happy. My favorite was the chocolate cupcake with white sugar cream frosting, or the birthday cake cupcake. I am not really a devil's food cake kind of gal, but I have to say I did enjoy the bite I shared with my colleague. Every time I bring these cute dots to clients they are always happy! There is not really a bulk deal which is a bit disappointing. Saint Cupcakes are not inexpensive, however if you need a nice gift or a celebratory treat it is worth it!
google avatar

Theresa C.

Yelp
You can't go wrong with Saint Cupcakes. They're moist, flavorful, with quite a selection to choose from. Honestly one of the best places to buy cupcakes from in Portland. Give them a try!
google avatar

Jay P.

Yelp
A friend said that this place had the best cupcakes she had ever tasted. I beg to differ. I purchased two types the coconut and chocolate with fudge. The coconut was okay... Cake was a bit try, but topping was good. The chocolate cake with fudge was a total let down. Cake was again dry and topping was meh... Sometimes when a place gets to big... quality tends to go down. I think this place has reached that point. Also, prices here are on the high side and to me not worth the price.

Bethany P.

Yelp
Cupcakes were good. Service was not the best lady was rushing me to pick out immediately when I walked in...there were no other customers so I'm not sure why she was in such a hurry.
google avatar

Kelvin Y.

Yelp
Nice selection of Cupcakes. The cupcakes at Saint Cupcakes are pleasantly moist. Icing is excellent too. One of the better Cupcakes places in the NW Service was fast, friendly and efficient.
google avatar

Rose M.

Yelp
Usually I have to deal with cupcakes that are too dry, but have great frosting. Or on the other hand, I'll find cupcakes that have great texture but the frosting is too sweet with. This is wasn't an issue with Saint Cupcake! I'm very big in texture and how soft the cake base is, and they've consistently matched this standard. For what you get, the pricing (big $3.50 &a small $1.50) are quite reasonable. They even have cute little boxes for those of you who only want a few mini ones. Ordered: Vanilla Cupcake w/ Buttercream Frosting-- delicious frosting! I don't typically like frosting, but theirs is delicious without being overwhelming. It was smooth and didn't have that chemical taste that I often find in store bought ones. The cupcake base practically melted in my mouth, it was so good that I took my time eating it, which is rare because I'll normally plop it in my mouth like a Chiclet. Wait time: 2 minutes. Service: Neutral, the blonde women who helped me with my purchase was nice enough. Bill: $

Yelp
We emailed with no response, we called and were told they would get back to us. The lady answered and was condescending. It takes me 45 minutes to bake a cake its not that difficult, you can at least not have attitude and say "this month??". Yes, I was asking for a cake within 4 days because I have been trying to get ahold of somebody for over a week before that. You guys suck and you shouldnt have any business.
google avatar

Yelp
My boyfriend called from out of town to place an order and had them deliver to me. They were perfect!!! Red velvet was outstanding and I'm usually not a red velvet person- but when it's good, it's good! Chocolate with vanilla frosting was good too. He said pricing was pretty decent too. He did 6 big and 6 little. Great surprise for me! Thank you for making the day great! Especially when someone who is 1600 miles away wants to bring you a smile!

Yelp
Love this place. For many years this has been my favorite cupcake joint and that has yet to change. Such a whimsical store on the corner in the middle of a bustling downtown area. Staff are always so nice, knowledgeable, and accommodating. Not once have I ever been disappointed in their service. Doesn't matter what flavor you get, everything is so divine. Real frosting, whether it be buttercream or cream cheese, is always decadent. Cakes are always moist. Cannot go wrong for any occasion or any day. My favorites are the salty captain and coconut. The captain is basically a rendition of salted caramel with chocolate cake. Just a dollop of caramel with a sprinkle of fleur de sel is the perfect marriage of sweet and savory. The coconut is amazing in its own right. A basic white cake enrobed in a dome of luscious cream cheese frosting and coconut shreds. Seriously get those if you are torn about what to choose! Especially during happy hour.

Yelp
I crave their cupcakes! Anything with cream cheese frosting is a WIN! My all-time favorite is the toasted coconut. They have a wide selection, and a few seasonals at all times. We recently had our wedding cupcakes done by Saint Cupcake: 228 dots in 5 different flavors. First, we went in for a tasting to preview, and it was a really nice experience, with Kelsie, I believe. She grabbed a plate, and we got to choose any "dots" (the small cupcakes) to try, free of charge. We tried almost everything because... cupcakes. She offered us coffee and tea, and then we got down to tasting and talking about different options. She had a kit ready with all kinds of sprinkles, jimmies, colored sugars, etc. It was so fun! I had another couple of places to try as well, and they didn't beat the experience I had with Saint Cupcake. I followed up via email a few times to clarify details, finalize, and approve the order. I paid via phone with a debit card. The person who answers the phone is also helping customers at the same time, so this part of the service was a little weak (long hold times, difficulty finding my order to reference, and had to do some math before I could pay). I wanted a specific gold dust on one of the cupcakes, and dropped it off beforehand. I wanted to talk about the suggested application of it with a baker, but that wasn't accommodated at that time. As such, the cupcakes didn't have the gold color as it should have (prepared in solution with vodka, and painted on). Instead, it was sprinkled like normal. I had a friend pick these up the day before our wedding. She said that it was very organized and labeled, and they helped her load them in her car for transport to the venue on the coast. At this time, they should have loaded the tiered stand we rented, but that was forgotten. The cupcakes were beautiful, survived the drive and a night in the fridge. They were also delicious and a big hit the next day! I called to ask about the stand when we returned to reality, and were refunded that cost. Good move for business, and I applaud the quick, apologetic, and friendly way it was handled. So, would I order from them again? Yes! But, a better way to handle the details when I want to talk with the wedding coordinator or baker in person or on phone would go a long way. Email only can be hard.

Yelp
The mini cupcakes are the perfect thank-you gift for coworkers! The mini ones (dots) come in so many flavors and they're so cute and well-decorated. They're not just your average flavors--there were a bunch of fun fruit and other flavors to choose from but everyone at work was hesitant to start eating because they looked so pretty! I'm planning to come back later when I need something to bring to a celebration or potluck at work!

Yelp
The cupcakes here are pretty good and a nice option for a sweet treat while exploring the city. I wouldn't say they are the best cupcakes I've ever had, but pretty close. I first tried this spot a couple of years ago and was eager to return now that I have more cupcake tasting experience. I stopped in to get cupcakes to enjoy with friends for an after lunch treat. Yes, I eat dessert with lunch, it isn't just for dinner! My first impression was how clean and cute the shop is inside. The cupcakes are beautifully displayed and fill a front case as well as a side case. They offer all of the cupcakes in mini or full size. I absolutely love the option to purchase mini cupcakes so that I can try several flavors without overloading on sugar. New since my last visit they now offer savory and sweet turnovers. They looked amazing and it was hard to pass on these. There are also cute party supplies and other goods available for purchase around the shop. There were many options the day that I visited. Options included Red Velvet, Carrot Cake, Lemon, Vanilla, Chocolate, Lavender, Coconut, and Fat Elvis. There were several combinations of frostings and cakes within the vanilla and chocolate options. They have a lot of popular cake options. It doesn't seem that they specialize in unique or unusual flavors. Everyone seemed to enjoy the mini cupcakes. I ended up choosing a dozen minis of six different flavors. The Coconut was a hit with my friend and my husband. They loved that flavor. I liked the Chocolate Lavender because it was moist, the right amount of chocolate, and the lavender was not overwhelming to the flavor of the cake. The Chocolate cupcake with chocolate frosting was a tad too sweet for me. Overall, the cupcakes were enjoyed by the group.

Yelp
Randomly came upon this place and was excited to try it, but didn't love it. I tried two of the dots, the vanilla with hot fudge and the big top. Both of the cupcakes were very aesthetically pleasing but unfortunately both were very dry. The big top, which I believe is supposed to have cream cheese frosting tasted like it was a citrus frosting. The hot fudge on the vanilla cupcake was better but the cake was just too dry for me to really enjoy. I ate about half of both and tossed the rest.

Yelp
Nice little rainy day snack as we waited for brunch. Cute cupcakery with fun decor. They had a great selection of dots (mini cupcakes) and regular sized cupcakes. We opted for a cup of hot cocoa and three dots. 1) lemon sprinkle 2) red velvet 3) chocolate with cream cheese frosting** *this was my favorite!! The hot cocoa was also delicious.

Yelp
Best cupcakes in the world. Period. I don't even really like cake, but these are different. I was given a box of them for my birthday yesterday and every flavor so far has been amazing, although my favorites are the ones with cream cheese frosting.

Yelp
After leaving a message the day before at 4 pm. I called them back because they didn't return my phone call at noon the next day. I was trying to order a cake for my daughters bridal shower to be informed they sold out their cakes a half an hour before i called them back. I needed the cake for Sunday. Shouldn't the first thing you do is check you voicemail in the morning and return phone calls? What cake shop runs out of cakes at the beginning of the week? Level of service and professionalism is in question.
