Saint Joe’s pizza

Having lived in Brooklyn, I’d consider myself a bit of a pizza snob. This place hit all of the marks. Great pizza dough, fresh ingredients, delicious pepperoni rolls. Restaurant itself is very cute, spacious. Good vibes. Glad this Denton staple made its way up north to Cooke County!!

We decided to try the cheese bread and the Chicago Style Deep Dish tonight. We were told the deep dish takes a while to cook, like 30 minutes but we received it not time at all. The cheese pull was momentous. It tasted amazing. After the cheese bread we could only eat one piece of pizza each. We ordered a large for the three of us and ended up taking over half the pizza home. We’re looking for ward to the leftovers. We took turns all rating the meal and we each gave it 5 stars! We will definitely be back to try the New York style next time! I should also mention that our server was outstanding. She was personable and informative. We loved the atmosphere as well. Definitely recommend.

Saint Joe's Pizza is absolutely amazing. I'm so glad I stumbled across this place after doing some shopping around the square and walking back to my loft. Best pizza in Gainesville!!!

Another hidden gem in Gainesville. Came here for lunch and had a pleasant experience. We ordered an extra large supreme New York style pizza. Everything was great.

This place is very impressive! We ordered pizzas and pepperoni pizza rolls. The flavors in their sauce are so FRESH! Everything was incredibly delicious! They were busy busy busy, yet employees were friendly and attentive. Thankful to find this place!

They have really good pizza! Best in Texas I've ever had. Family recipes. Small town vibes. Worth every penny! I fully support this local business.

5Stars across the board! Amazing pizza and I ordered the gluten free, dairy free cheese supreme! Love-loved it. Great atmosphere and good music playing. Good for groups or individuals. Highly recommend.

Service is slow. Pizzas lack toppings and are greasy. The hot Italian sub I got tasted good but the bottom was soggy which wrecked the whole sandwich.

Undercooked chunks of veggies paired with undercooked pizza dough makes for a terrible pizza. The staff was cool, nice, and the at atmosphere was great. Sadly - this pizza is garbage to me. Literally take a bite or two and throw the rest in the trash.

We saw a review that mentioned their pizza by the slice came with two slices. We wanted a lite lunch, so we decided to try this place and share the pizza by the slice order. However, when we got there we changed our minds and decided to split a calzone instead. Service was fast and friendly. Quaint little place. Interesting decor. Food was tasty. Liked the fact you could add as many of the topping choices as you wished for only a dollar more (not per topping, just a buck for as many of them as you wished to include)!

I've loved eating here for over a year now but not anymore. The quality has definitely dropped over the last few months. The final straw was the last time there. They started putting the toppings UNDER the cheese. Which means they're no longer toppings but "unders". "Unders" makes the crust soggy and "under"cooked. The toppings are now steamed UNDER the cheese and don't have that great oven roasted flavor. They also started watering down the marinara. It's not even thick enough to stick to the breadsticks. It just runs off and leaves behind a soggy, flavorless mess. After countless years as J&J's pizza in Denton and over a year as Saint Joe's in Gainesville they've managed to ruin a really great pizza. Unfortunately quality control is really lacking.

The Chicago style supreme and cannolis are 10/10 AMAZING . My son got the pizza by the slice (which came with two). He loved it!

We got the Chicago style pizza. It is amazing!! Very filling and you can tell that the sauce and crust are made from scratch! This was our first time here but it won't be the last. Service was excellent!

We got pepperoni, sausage, basil, mushrooms and ricotta for the deep dish. We loved the flavor of the sausage especially but everything was really good. Great flavor to the sauce. The servers were nice and it was a very laid back feel. We loved it and will definitely go back.

Went in for dinner last night. Ordered the caprese salad and a build your own pizza on hand tossed crust. The salad was fresh and delicious. Next time we'll ask for more balsamic dressing. The pizza was very good. LOVED the thin crust! The menu is a little confusing as far as how much a build your own is. Ours had 6 toppings and was priced as a supreme. Totally fine, just confusing. The atmosphere was very quiet until someone started playing music on their phone and then they turned their music up. The place has a better vibe with music. It's BYOB. We sat at the bar. It is very uncomfortable. The bar doesn't hang over much. It would be much better with a 12 inch overhang. We will definitely be back for more pizza!

The place is super cool! Nice environment and cool decor. We have the Caprese salad and the Chicago Deep supreme and the cannoli. All of it was delicious. The pizza was so yummy and perfectly cooked, the homemade marinara sauce was perfect. The service was good too. Overall we will be back ! Highly recommend!!

Cool vibe and great pizza. We also tried Cheese Bread (based on another customer's recommendation). Our waitress was lots of fun as well. We thoroughly enjoyed everything and we will definitely return.

We got a supreme deep dish and it was great. Service was great and the restaurant is cute as well, glad to have this place close to home.

Amazing food! I am very picky about my pizza. This place is a hidden gem in Gainesville. Everyone go here to eat pizza. I had a salad and a Chicago style pizza. So good! I'm coming back and trying the New York style. Everything is in house made. The dough, the sauce, the dips. The ambiance is a laid back and the service is great. Fresh everything.

Very disappointed in the pizza I got today.... I have ordered this pizza many times and never had it come this way. Ordered the deep dish pizza. Came with an absolute ridiculous amount of cheese, almost no sauce at all and the crust was super thin. I ordered it Denton style wich they took as put 4x the cheese on a thin crust pizza and charge 35 for it... I have loved this place since I was a kid in Denton, but the pizza I received today wasn't edible.....

Good food, nice pizza. Chicago style was a little more soupy than one would like but atmosphere and wait staff were excellent.

When you walk in, the aroma of fresh baking pizza triggers your memory and takes you back in time to all those mom & pop Italian restaurants you experienced growing up. Most are gone but a few still exist; and, this one carries those traditions forward. And you can't help but find peace and enjoyment from every bite taken. From Berkeley, CA to Calzones in old Fresno (gone) to Gourmet in East Fresno (Gone) to Mikes Pizza in Fresno, to Benedetto's in Atwater (old CAFB gone) to Tarys Boscolo in Atwater, to Aldo's in Clovis (gone), to Luna's in Clovis, to Mario's in Albuquerque.. and then ... to St Joes in Gainesville - the new kid on the block. I'd say give them a shot...

Love everything about it! Vegan cheese pizza and calzone are delicious and worth the drive if you aren't from Gainesville. The regular cheese and pepperoni are delicious too (so I'm told). Such a cool place with unique decor and a great entertainment venue!

Glad I saw a post on FB about this place!! Remember them from Denton and happy they are back! Great hand tossed pizza, friendly staff and cool building!! House salad dressing was awesome!! We will be back! Sorry forgot to take pictures!!

We stopped in on the way to WinStar. The service was excellent and the pizza was delicious. Great place for a slice of pizza.

Picked up a calzone and 2 DPs in bottles to go tonight. Perfectly fired, perfect portion, perfect marinara, perfect flavors and service. Definitely a new happening and here to stay. Love the Hut and Domino's and LC but this is next level.
