First time at SaiTong Thai and tried their Restaurant Week three-course menu—totally worth it! The curry pancake appetizer was crispy on the outside and full of flavorful curry filling. The black spaghetti with crab curry as the main course was amazing—rich curry flavor without being overwhelming, and the crab was super fresh. For dessert, the butterfly pea sticky rice with mango custard was not only beautiful but also delicious. The sticky rice was soft and sweet, perfectly paired with the refreshing mango custard. The atmosphere was cozy and warm, and the service was attentive. Highly recommend trying this menu!

SaiTong Thai is a gem! I came here with a friend for dinner on a weekday night, and we were immediately impressed by how spacious it was, with two beautifully designed floors. The ambiance is warm and inviting, with cozy lighting, wood accents, and touches of gold throughout. The attention to detail with the furniture and cutlery really elevated the experience. We ordered Thai iced teas, seafood cakes, the crab black spaghetti with black sauce (Pad Cha), creamy Tom Yum soup, and pumpkin custard. Every dish was packed with flavor and perfectly seasoned. The spaghetti, ordered medium spice, had quite a kick (in the best way!). Our server, Blue, was absolutely lovely and gave us such attentive and friendly service—it made the meal even more enjoyable! Highly recommend for anyone looking for authentic Thai food with great vibes!

We tried the dishes from the Restaurant Week menu, and they were absolutely delicious and beautifully presented! The service was fantastic, and I really enjoyed the vibe and style of the restaurant. It’s the perfect spot for a date night. Highly recommend it!✨

The food is a real surprise for the area, much higher quality than what's around. I highly highly recommend the hock soup and their fish dishes. The papaya salad was also really good. Each dish is for one person but easily shareable, especially if y'all share the same germs anyway. As for the drinks ... well the menu is nuts. It's the latest in modern cocktails, where ingredients matter and each of them can be picked out. Take your time with each drink and you'll be happy. Guzzle them and, idk, go somewhere else.

My family and I recently visited Rockefeller Center for ice skating, and afterward, we were looking for a dining option. We came across several Thai restaurants in the vicinity and ultimately chose one based on its outstanding reviews. I am pleased to report that our experience was exceptional. The cuisine was exquisite, and the staff members were incredibly pleasant and accommodating. We sampled a variety of dishes, including shrimp fried rice, fried duck, chicken fried rice, and chicken wings, complemented by Thai iced tea for our beverages. For anyone visiting New York City, I highly recommend dining at this establishment. It truly exceeded our expectations.

I came here for dinner with my brother and friend. We were seated right away with no reservation and there was a decent amount of diners inside. Our waiter was really nice and filled our waters promptly. The aesthetics of the restaurant is really nice and clean. The food was great, we ordered two appetizers, the curry pastry and the wings. Both were good. We each got an entree. I got the drunken noodles with duck and I thought it was pretty good, a few pieces of the duck were dry but was fine with some sauce. It wasn't that spicy, I would have preferred it be a bit spicier. Still a good dish non the less. I also got their signature old fashioned, it was smoked and had a stat anise. I always like trying different twists on the old fashioned and this one is good in my opinion. I would come here again.

It's a cute restaurant with friendly and professional staff. The food was great. We had spring rolls, Thai iced tea, pad Thai with chicken, massaman curry with pork, massaman curry with chicken, and tamarind duck. All were wonderful, especially the duck. The serving was generous and the duck was tasty. The Thai iced tea wasn't over sweet.

My friend and I were in the area and wanted thai food. We arrived at a good time. It was Saturday night around 7:30pm. They had two tables opened. We got seated immediately. We enjoyed the cocktails as they were on the sweeter side. I ordered the last bird you see and martini no. 6. Enjoyed both drinks! My friend ordered I'll have one too cocktail which she said it is a dessert drink. For food, we ordered Beef pad see ew noodle and Chicken panang curry with rice. They were delish. Big portions. They have one gender neutral restroom and it's a nice cozy restaurant. I would come back if I were in the area craving some thai food.

The restaurant was set up nicely. Med-upscale vibe. The wait staff were nice and accommodating. The duck was seasoned well with the right amount of crisp. The snapper looked great but lacked flavor. The fish sauces were good when mixed together (black pepper and chili not as hot as it sounds) We were told we didn't have a 7pm reservation on Saturday, when the place was packed but we made one. It was a 1 1/2 min call. It would have ruined our evening to have to find another restaurant at such short notice.

Hell's Kitchen has many fine Thai restaurants, and this is another. I had a delivery order of Grilled Pork Jowl Salad, Penang Curry with Shrimp, Massaman Curry with Chicken, Drunken Noodles with Tofu and Ground Basal Chicken. The Pork Jowl is an interesting dish that has kind of a gritty consistency and a strong flavor that will appeal to some people but not everyone. The two curries were excellent. The Penang curry had a slightly sweet flavor with coconut milk, big tasty shrimp and skinny string beans. The Massaman curry was more savory and hot with large amounts of chicken and potatoes. The Drunken noodles were mildly sweet but not overpowering with well cooked tofu. The ground basil chicken was a large portion with plenty of flavorful basil throughout the dish. Packing was excellent. Delivery was fast. An excellent experience. Highly recommended.

I was here months ago as per most of my recent reviews when they were having their soft opening. Pouring the sauces at the table and the fancier presentation in general is expected for the Theater District but the quality of the food is definitely better than the vast majority of spots around here. Sure it's a bit pricey but the quality is excellent. I remember the drinks being extremely pricey and not bothering with one. The staff was friendly and even though it just opened, they were good refilling water when necessary and explaining things. Soon arriving was our only appetizer, the Grilled Pork Jowl, which was excellent. Listed as grilled marinated pork jowl mixed with spicy roasted rice served with sticky rice and spicy tamarind roasted rice, this dish was essentially presented the same way as the northern Thai dish Crying Tiger/Sua Rong Hai from the sliced meat to the spiced tamarind sauce/Nam jim jeaw. The pork was cooked perfectly and the sauce was good though it could have been a bit spicier though I wasn't expecting it to be as hot as in the Isan places and it still had enough heat. I would highly recommend this as with everyone else it seems. We soon got some of our mains. First arriving was the more unique "Bak Kut Tae" Stewed Pork Leg or yellow egg noodles in broth with stewed pork leg, enoki mushrooms, green leaf served with spicy chili pickled sauce. I was surprised to see this dish here as you more commonly find Bak Kut Teh (instead of Tae) in the Chinese-Singapore/Malay restaurants. The dish has a Chinese herbal flavor to it with strong hints of five spice and a good amount of sweetness. The thick broth stuck to the noodles and the pork while fatty was very tender. We also got two duck dishes. The Duck Basil with half crispy duck in spicy basil sauce with string bean, onions, bell pepper, long hot peppers and basil was the less unique one but the better one. Nicely spiced with tender duck and plenty of Thai basil though I would have preferred less bell pepper/it's not really necessary in this dish. There was also the Duck With Red Wine Gravy or a half-crispy duck with steamed vegetables which was topped with a red wine garlic butter sauce poured at the table. This was the least spiced dish we had though the sauce had a good richness. The vegetables were presented nicely with a good variety but were steamed as said which made them a bit bland and the sauce didn't help this. There was also the Steamed Seabass Filet with plum ginger sauce which was pretty tasty but tiny. The sauce had a good zing to it and light sweetness. The filet was very tender and cooked perfectly but not as worth it due to the small portion size but I would recommend it if you want a lighter meal. Last was our generic choice, the Pork Drunken Noodle/Pad Kee Mao, or stir-fried flat noodles in spicy basil sauce with egg, onions, long hot peppers, basil, and chili paste. The dish could have used a bit more heat and the noodles could have used more wok flavor but it was fine but I would stick with the more unique dishes if you're going to pay higher prices which is the same protocol for most of the higher end Thai spots. This is not the best Thai food you can have and the prices are a bit high but it's a whole lot better than 99% of the spots you can find in the Theater District. The portion sizes were good for most dishes and some dishes were excellent. If you don't want to walk to Hell's Kitchen or can't get into some of those restaurants like Lum Lum or Chalong or go to some of the fancier Thai spots further downtown or uptown, this is a good option. If this place was closer to there, I would expect the average rating for this spot to be a bit lower but for the area, you can't do much worse. 4.3 for the area, Would be an upper 3 on the UES/Hell's Kitchen.

From the moment my friend and I walked in, we were impressed by the gorgeous interior. We were seated fairly quickly, and the servers were very nice. My friend ordered iced tea, and I ordered iced coffee, both of which were delicious. We also both got the drunken noodles, which were also great. I would definitely go again to try more of their dishes.

I'd passed this new spot many times and decided to check it out for an office lunch. Made a reservation for 10 which they were able to accommodate easily. The restaurant has a very modern look and upscale decor. Slightly smaller than I thought it would be but there is also a second floor which was closed during lunch. The menu has all the classic staples. The drink descriptions are heavenly! We all ordered the lunch special which was $18 and comes with 2 spring rolls and a salad. I had the chicken pad se ew noodles which was really good and nice sized portion. The Lillet Rose Depp cocktail $19 is a combination of reposado, gin and mezcal. I could have drank 3 more. For appetizers we ordered the Lava fries $12, which you can just skip. We did love the Ma Ta Ba Curry pancake $16! And Hat Yai wings $16. We were looking through the menu and saw other appetizers we wanted to order such as the pork balls and rice crackers, but they said those were only available during dinner - womp womp. The staff was very kind and attentive, always checking on us. Food came out pretty fast. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the Times Square area!

Midtown is not my usual dinner stomping grounds but it's a perfect meeting spot with friends uptown. We picked this spot for the good reviews and happy hour deals. My friend and I both went for the same curry and we each loved it! Nothing too out of the norm for what you might expect for thai food. Just solid if not a little over-priced. But what do you expect for a nicer sit-down spot in Midtown? Their happy hour specials are pretty good! We each tried some of the cocktails which were super tasty and a great deal. Definitely recommending getting there in time for the happy hour. The service was also great. Super warm and friendly staff. They made us feel super at home!

Recently celebrated a friend's birthday at SaiTong Thai and we all really enjoyed the food here! We tried a couple staple items including the pad thai and drunken noodles and we were told that the pork jowl was highly recommended so my friends tried that as well! The pork jowl was mind blowing! My friends loved the accompanying sauce which included a blend of fish sauce, mint, and basil. I ordered the drunken noodles and loved that they were generous with the beef and the noodles were perfectly tender, without being too mushy. Really enjoyed it and would definitely order it again. I also liked that their Thai ice tea wasn't too sweet. The restaurant was packed but it was still lovely inside. Perfect spot for a special occasion dinner!

Had a great pre-theater meal at SaiTong. Started with the curry pancakes (delicious, perfectly flavorful and enhanced with the sweetness of the relish) and then we split the grilled salmon fillet with Chu Chi curry - spicy but not so much so that the salmon was overpowered - and the Pad Thai with chicken, a classic. The cocktails were very good as well! Service was fast and the servers were warm and friendly. Looking forward to returning here to try more of the menu!

Staff is excellent very caring and attentive. The green curry was spicy despite me telling them I hate spicy. lol it was ok. food was 3/5 I tasted my friends dish and it was ok. The spring rolls were definitely the star of the show. Ambience was nice. Good music in the background. Thai Ice tea was great.

Solid choice for Thai food in the Theater District. We had the Duck with Red Gravy which was terrific and the Panang Curry with Pork which was flavorful but a little bit too spicy for us. (We had asked for the least spicy curry this was still a little too spicy) Service was very friendly and attentive. Nicely decorated restaurant.

Came here with friends to grab dinner. The service is really quick and we were seated not long after arriving. The decor was really striking and nice, a clean and tidy location, modern. The menu is varied and very innovative, not to mention every dish we ordered was well executed and tasted amazing. The duck dishes are wonderful and I highly recommend them! If you're looking for a good Thai place in New York, I would give this place a try for sure!

Vegetarian/Vegan items in a separate section of the menu, which is greatly appreciated. I don't understand why there are some restaurants that make finding vegetarian items a scavenger hunt. With that out of the way, food was good, service was good, the restaurant was busy with theater goers. Being essentially co-located with theaters a definite plus. We shared eggplant with cashew nut sauce and Tofu/Veggies with Basil Sauce with a couple of beers. Although not memorably great I would certainly return, especially given the location.

Ambiance was pretty nice and location is great for after Broadway plays! The pad Thai was very delicious, although the duck was drier than I would have liked. Scallops appetizer was good as well, but small portions. I was swayed away from the lobster pad Thai mostly because it seemed like a smaller pasta portion. Servers are pretty attentive overall, so no worries about trying to hail them down.

Some friends and I stopped in here for an easy weeknight dinner. We were looking for Thai food in Midtown and SaiTong had space! We were seated once the majority of our party was there. Both their drink and food menus are very large, so plenty to choose from. They also have HH from 5-9pm - I had the Hampton's Palmer cocktail, which is nice and fruity if you're into Gin. For food, I went with the Crab Fried Rice (kept it classic). The food was nice. Good portion size and flavorful. Ambiance is fun. The interior has a cute decor and it's very lively. Our servers were nice too. They checked in on us and made sure we had what we needed. Overall, SaiTong is a nice, solid Thai spot. They have all the classic dishes with some adventurous options so it'll suit any cravings. Ambiance and price point too make for a fun night that won't break the bank!

We were looking for Thai food near our hotel and noticed this restaurant had a 4.7 star rating on Yelp. We had to try it! We were directed to the bar while we awaited our table, it was ready within 10 minutes of our reservation time. It was very busy here, which was not surprising after sampling many of their dishes. They offer both traditional and innovative dishes. We selected: * Duck with Red Gravy $32 * Thai Fried Rice with Chicken $20 * Thai Fried Rice with Duck $28 * Cashew Nuts Chicken $20 * Ma Ta Ba Curry Pancakes $16 * (2) Crispy Vegetable Spring Roll $12 ea. I tried everything, and thought everything was tasty! I'd reorder any of these dishes. That said, the Duck with Red Gravy and Curry Pancakes were delicious, two of the best dishes I sampled. The waiter pours the gravy over the crispy fried duck, resulting in a moist dish with crispy and tender duck. The Curry Pancakes went fast, a clear crowd favorite. They were flavorful but not spicy. There was only one annoyance, the bar added a 20% gratuity to the bar bill without telling us, he should have done so. There was also a 20% gratuity added to our dining bill, but the waiter did tell us that. We thought the service was excellent and would have provided that anyway. That said, if you're unhappy with the service, that could be an issue. Other than that, we thought the food was excellent and can understand why my fellow Yelpers rate this restaurant so highly.

Amazing experience sitting at the bar for dinner. Great service and conversation with the bartender. He gave me great recommendations for entrees. I loved the crisp green beans they were flavorful and crunchy. The drunken noodles medium spice level are among some of the best I've had! The host was also very warm and accommodating offering me another seat at the bar in case I was cold since I was close to the front door. I also loved the decor. I would 10/10 come back for the food, ambiance and service!

Just randomly did a search for a thai restaurant to feed my hunger and stumbled upon SaiTong in the Theater District Crab Fried rice - 4/5 - pretty basic dish and overall pretty good with the fish sauce Green Curry - 5/5 - Full of flavor and a deep rich coconut green curry sauce Pad Kee Mao - 5/5 - also a fantastic dish that was well executed full of flavor This place definitely made it to one of my top favorites when it comes to Thai cuisine in the city

While the food was pretty good and the location itself was nicely decorated, I found the experience more expensive than it's worth. Especially compared to other Thai restaurants in the city. In terms of positives: I enjoyed the snacks we got - the pork paired well with the sauce and the fries are a welcome treat. And overall, the food was not bad. But I felt that overall the price point was not worth it, particularly when it came to the "Happy Hour" cocktails. The drink I got was still $20 (down from $25), and it really was not to my taste. It's possible that the relatively higher prices are meant to reflect the Times Square location. Nonetheless, if you want good Thai food, I suggest going a few blocks away to better / more affordable options.

I ordered a shrimp Panang curry and a side of steamed vegetables on Grubhub and when I opened the curry there was a long strand of black hair in the curry. This is unacceptable. Threw it right out. Ordered a pad see ew and the portion sizes are small! For four extra dollars they give you five shrimp and didn't fill up the container. There are better Thai spots in the area.

Walked in on Thursday night and it was easy to get a table for 2. The feel of this place is very upscale and venue is nicely decorated. For food, my friend and I tried the pork jowl, lava fries, and the drunken noodle with shrimp. The pork jowl sauce was a bit too salty but the food generally was good and well prepared. We wanted to try the SaiTong fries, but we were told that they weren't being served at the seated table and was only available at the bar. This seems a bit odd, but otherwise, the service was friendly and the food came out at a good pace. Pricewise this place is on the expensive side. P.S. Happy hour is until 9pm but cocktails are still 15$.

During a recent trip to New York City, I was craving authentic Thai food and stumbled upon SaiTong Thai after reading positive online reviews. Despite arriving 30 minutes early on a rainy Monday night, we were promptly seated at a table in this welcoming and inviting restaurant. The decor was charming, and the staff were incredibly attentive throughout our meal. After careful consideration, I opted for the Pad Thai with shrimp, while my dining companion chose the Drunken Noodles. Both dishes arrived within 10 minutes, each generously portioned. The flavors were exquisite, with my Pad Thai boasting a delightful sweetness that I thoroughly enjoyed. While slightly pricier than some other Thai restaurants, SaiTong is undoubtedly worth the cost. The quality of the food and the exceptional service make it a standout dining experience. I eagerly anticipate returning to explore more of their menu on my next visit to the city.

My dinner at SaiTong Thai was exceptional. Everything tasted so fresh, authentic and delicious. Also, the place is very vegetarian friendly - my friend is vegetarian and she really appreciated how there were many options for her too. The restaurant itself is stunning - the decor is so gorgeous, and I couldn't stop admiring it. The gorgeous ambience added even more to the already incredible dining experience. The service was great too, and the servers were so sweet. I loved this restaurant and would definitely recommend it, and I'd love to return again!

Upscale, authentic, DELICIOUS, Thai Restaurant in the heart of Theatre District. We came across this spot after a full day of walking, touristing and exploring the city with some friends from out of town. After days of being here, they needed some homey, comfort food (and so did we). We picked this place thanks to the amazing Yelp reviews and it sure did NOT disappoint. From pad thai to hot pot, curry to sticky rice, there are so many elevated Thai classics, something for all. I ordered the green curry with tofu and it was just what I needed. Literally a hug in a meal. Of course we were hungry, exhausted and 20k steps later, all we could do was order and anxiously wait for our food. After we ate, we needed immediate sleep. This is the kind of food that will put you to bed for sure LOL! I will say, this place is THEE perfect spot for a date night, pre or post show eats - FOR SURE. The cocktails being made and served up looked incredible. Can't wait to come back for the full dining experience and when we are not so exhausted. What a GEM to come across especially in an area where there can be lots of touristy spots and finding authentic Thai spot with a bit of flare sure was the cherry on top to the end of an amazing city day.

I really enjoyed this restaurant. The food was delicious and the staff were efficient in everything they did- seating us, taking our orders, and clearing plates when we were finished with things. The vibe of the restaurant was minimalistic with low lights, soft, calm music, and simple decor. We got the curry pancake as an appetizer and they were delicious, I just wish the sauce they came with was a bit thicker so I could have scooped and eaten more of it! For dinner we got the chicken pad thai and shrimp drunk noodles and both had just the right amount of spice and were extremely flavorful. Will definitely be back!

Nice private room was key. Food was different than the average stuff you get and very good. Servers were so nice. Standouts were the snapper, pork jowl, black spaghetti.

Great little place we picked. Food was exceptional. Be prepared to sit a little close to others, but still a romantic setting. We had no problems with the service, our waitress was attentive and efficient.

Having been to Thailand, I can say the ambiance was delightfully authentic-modern. I sat at the bar where the bartender was very entertaining to watch. He made me a non alcoholic drink with flair. The food was presented artistically and was unmistakably Thai in flavor. I recommend SaiTong Thai.

It's not easy to find a great place to eat around Times Square, but this is probably one of the better options. Everyone enjoyed everything we ordered. The tofu appetizer, fruit duck curry, prawns with glass noodles, and pad see ewe with chicken were all hits. There were some negatives however that I think warrant a one star deduction. For one thing, they mysteriously had no dessert. They were 'sold out' at 7pm.. which seemed really odd. I'm not sure if they really had no desserts or just wanted our table. They also can't customize their dishes- not the spice level nor the ingredients.. and last they have very few appetizers and the appetizers they do have, are mostly pork. No typical Thai appetizers you might expect.. and we don't eat pork so quite peculiar they omitted classics like chicken satay (they have pork version). Though they have vegetable spring rolls, they are NOT vegetarian and they don't have a vegetarian alternative.. The fruit duck curry also came to the table completely cold- we had to ask them to warm it up, which seemed odd. The duck also could have used a sprinkle of salt, and seemed pretty overcooked. The service was also mediocre, they quickly cleaned the plates off the table which I appreciate, but they also really rushed the plates onto the table and started pouring sauce over the crispy duck even though we were trying to tell them not to- but they didn't even hesitate or pause as we said no- they just poured away rendering the crisp on the duck instantly soggy. They also didn't bring utensils to serve (like a spoon for serving curry dishes- we were sharing and all the dishes were in the center of the table ) and we had to ask a few times for them. That said... the flavors were overall good, the glass noodles with ginger really hit the spot for the ginger lovers at our table. So mixed reviews, and we probably won't be back because we have some picky eaters in our party (vegetarians, and those who can't eat onions- unfortunately the dishes can't be altered). They also are super light on appetizer options for people who don't eat pork. However, as far as dining in Times Square goes, this is one of the better options. The ambiance was also enjoyable- warm lighting with nice decor and comfortable seating. I know I can be a tough critic, and I would give this spot 3 stars. However- since everyone at the table really enjoyed the food, I bumped to 4.

I took my family here for one of our three trip to NYC dinners and this one was our favorite and it wasn't close. I went here by myself earlier this year on a business trip and I was so impressed. We shared the papaya salad and the pork jowl salad and both were excellent, the dressing is the same on both and a little spicy (which I loved) but definitely not too spicy for my family and both so good. We also had the drunken noodles with chicken, crab fried rice, and a sliced steak dish. Each was excellent, the drunken noodles were my favorite dish of the whole trip. We also had a seasonal lobster special that we didn't like much. Service was good and the vibe of the place is great. I will go back on my work trips and we will go back as a family. My wife already asked me if there is any place similar in Columbus, OH (this was her first Thai experience) so that says a lot. Sorry that we forgot to take pictures. If I could rate it higher I would... just WOW!! New Thai spot that opened up recently in Hells Kitchen and it is just sooo good. Came in after seeing a Broadway show on a Wednesday night and even at 9:30pm... it's popping!! Almost all tables were full and we still had exceptional service from the owners and staff. Everyone is so friendly and if you're undecided on what to order, the staff gives wonderful recommendations for both drinks and meals (actually went mainly with recs and so glad we did!). To start off with drinks we had French Martinis and wine, and then had the spring rolls, mango salad, thai crackers, seared scallops, and grilled pork jowl. My favorite has to be the pork jowl... I didn't know what to expect but I was blown away it was so tender and delish!! For the main course went again with a recommendation of the fried whole branzino which was soooo flaky and tender. Finally for dessert (we somehow had room!) had the mango sticky rice... which is now my new favorite mango sticky race. They even have a gorgeous upstairs space and private room which is perfect for corporate happy hour, events, birthday parties or dinner, etc. The attention to detail in the decorations is stunning and ugh i just can't wait to go back!

Given the amazing reviews, we came in with very high expectations but unfortunately were disappointed. To start, we got the lava fries and pork bowl. The fries themselves were good - nice and crispy - but the duck egg lava sauce didn't quite work. My husband enjoyed the pork jowl but I didn't love the crispy texture of whatever they put in the ends and also found it a little spicy for me. But I'm a baby when it comes to spice so really just a personal thing. For entrees, we got the black spaghetti crab curry (which came with a lobster tail) and the lobster pad Thai. The noodles were average in both but the lobster was the real miss - both were just a tail and it was incredibly dry and overcooked. We didn't even finish. Service was good, friendly, and prompt. Was able to make a same day reservation just hours before (Monday night at 7:30), and it was about 3/4 full. You can call or book on resy.

tldr; Great Thai spot to have lunch before a Broadway show, fast service and few minutes walk from all the theaters Another great Thai place in NYC! We made a reservation and stopped by for lunch before seeing Maybe Happy Ending on Broadway. My friend and I both ordered pad kee mao, mine with tofu and veggies and hers with pork. Our food came out about five minutes after we ordered, and was fresh and delicious! The spice level was perfect and balanced with mild sweetness and great umami flavor. Highly recommend for a quick, convenient, and delicious meal before seeing a Broadway show!

There is metered parking and a parking garage close by. We had reservations at 5pm which is when they reopen for dinner and this place got busy fast. There is a full bar and the interior is small but also has an upstairs with additional tables. Our group of 5 ordered drinks, appetizers and meals and we loved all of our food. The portion size is good and you won't leave hungry. We had the pork satay and Thai crab cracker for appetizers. The peanut sauce with the satay complimented the pork well (but really it's peanut sauce and it's yummy on lots of things). I had the panang curry and it was excellent the sauce was spicy and flavorful. I would go back and order it again. Everyone at the table was happy and the food came out quickly so we were able to eat and get in line by 6:25pm for our 7pm show with no problems.

Cliff Notes: GO HERE. The food is fresh and delicious and the staff rocks. I've eaten here a half dozen times--at least twice during each recent trip I've made to the Theatre District. I adore every employee I've encountered. Everyone is polite, over the top helpful, and handily assists me in finding food I can safely order for my daughter, who has a couple anaphylactic food allergies (dairy, tree nuts). My go-tos are the pork pad Thai (w/ added fried tofu), chicken Penang curry, pork pad see ew, and the Thai dumplings. I like my Thai food spicy, but to be safe I order things medium and ask for "extra spicy on the side" to make sure I've got enough firepower to bring on the sweats.

Great Thai food and environment. Like the place. The special pad Thai has a full lobster and pork is really good as well.

Beautiful new Thai restaurant in the heart of the theater district, right in the middle of all the Broadway shows. I found this restaurant through Yelp and insta and it was still in its soft opening stage. March 27th would be its first opening day! The restaurant is very nicely designed, with two floors and a bar in the first floor. I can definitely imagine when it will be busy soon! I made a resy, however it did not get too busy. Only about 2-3 other tables filled. The wait staff were all very attentive and constantly refilling my hot water glass. We ordered several dishes to share. Got the lobster pad Thai, squid ink seafood pasta and the chicken green curry. The lobster pad Thai came with a huge lobster tail, meaty! The pad Thai flavor was good. The squid ink seafood pasta wasn't anything too special for me, the flavor was salty. I had to order the green curry to compare, and this was good! However I would've liked to see more veggies in this dish, such as eggplant and peppers. It only came with onions, bamboo, chicken and chiles. I felt it did not have enough veggies. While service was excellent, me and my friends had to keep drinking water after. I downed glasses of water after this meal, this is a sign that it was far too salty for me. I would've liked the meal more if it had way less salt. Overall, just like with every new restaurant, they are trying to find a perfect balance and good medium. I will certainly give it a try again, especially when I am in the area!

So excited to check out a new upscale Thai Spot near Times Square serving up Southern Thai food. The ambiance was chic and the inside was elegantly decorated. I can tell Sai Tong will blow up on socials soon, given the high quality fusion dishes and trendy vibes. Make sure to check it out before it becomes too difficult to get a resy. ＊Khua Kling Taco It was like a taco version of your favorite thai basil minced pork rice. Each taco was generously loaded with sautéed ground pork. The curry paste, lemongrass and lime flavors made it a satisfying appetizer to start our dinner. ＊Grilled Pork Jowl*** No cap this was the BEST grilled pork jowl I've tried. Pork jowl could be very fatty and greasy sometimes, but they nailed it with the perfect fat-to-meat ratio. The spicy sauce on the side was a great addition, making it a "sticky rice thief". ＊Black Spaghetti Crab Curry*** We literally cleaned the whole plate. The black squid ink pasta tossed in coconut curry was very delicious. They really didn't skimp on seafood -- my jaw dropped at the gigantic lobster tail and heaps of crabmeat. ＊SaiTong Pad Thai (Chaiya) Isn't it the most luxurious pad thai ever? It was served with a medley of sides including chives, bean sprouts, chilli flakes and cucumbers. The lobster meat was cooked until tender and juicy, which slid off the shell seamlessly. ＊ 20s Hampton's Palmer ＊ 20s Saitong Old Fashioned They have an extensive cocktail menu and serve 4 mocktails inspired by thai ingredients, like coconut and chrysanthemum.

Southern Thai food never disappoints! Very cute place with a good ambiance and great service, exceptional food and the two cocktails I had, highly recommend and I plan to eat there again in my short current visit, it was clearly a soul food

It had great reviews so I had to try. Super friendly service. But Food came out so fast all at once. It was a little overwhelming. Didn't know what To try. The papaya salad was very good but a little spicy. Squid ink noodles were good. Next time I'll have to ask to scatter the food. It was my birthday but we were full n didn't have room to order desert. But the management was so nice to send an ice cream w a candle. N the staff sang HB. Very nice touch. Thank you.

SaiTong is a star in the Theater District! True triple threat: strong in food, service, and ambiance. And I must thank Yelp for helping me find this Thai restaurant. All of the employees are genuinely kind and attentive to your needs; water glasses were never empty. The tables are somewhat close together though not as bad as some places. The music was on the clubby side, but you could still easily carry on a conversation without going deaf or hoarse. There are all these snazzy wooden design elements in the dining room that will catch your eye. And if you use the single person restroom in the back, be sure to check out the stunning sink.  Entrées range in price, with the more expensive dishes landing in the $30-$40 range. We both ordered the beef pad Thai ($22) and were quite satisfied with it. Beef slices were tender. There probably could've been more peanut, but no big deal.
