I had really been looking forward to trying this place for a while watching as it was “coming soon”, etc. Unfortunately, The negative tone was set from the moment we walked in. I actually had to say Hi to the hostess first, and her only response was, "Do you have a reservation?" No hello or greeting, (It was 5:30 p.m. and the restaurant wasn't overly crowded.)
I politely explained that I didn't and that I had even looked and didn’t see any option or link on their website to make one. She made an eye roll kind of face and replied, "Yes, there is on the website — and on our social media." Note: As of right now, there is no link, no clear direction, or mention of exactly how to make a reservation anywhere online or the IG, they are not on Resy etc either, so it is not clear and the combative tone of the hostess was totally uncalled for and extremely poor customer service. There is a phone # on the website and that doesn't even say "call for reservations" if that's what they expect ppl to do it shouldn’t be clear. The hostess' attitude made the whole interaction feel unnecessarily rude.
The food itself was decent, but one order came out incorrect, not the end of the world. But, No one came by to check on our meals after they arrived at all- l had to flag someone down to let them know a dish was incorrect, and even then it was just and “ok” didn’t even offer to get the correct one which was odd.
We never received drink or water refills the entire time we were there, and it was clear that the servers, hostess, and bartenders were more focused on socializing with each other right out in the open at the bar counter than on attending to guests.
I want to note, There was one woman whom I wish I knew her name because she was the only one actually trying to be attentive to things, however, she is just one person (she had long black hair and was not one of the servers).
It's disappointing because I live locally, within walking distance and after this experience, we unfortunately have no desire to return due to the poor customer service we experienced.
***as for the reply that my meal was comped that is not true, they removed the additional fee of the chicken bc I did not get it?? So obv I shouldn’t pay for that, I DID PAY for the plain cheese quesadilla that I received. (Receipt attached)
And we were not asked if we wanted something else, until after our meals were already taken away and we were done? So the response given is not even accurate. Thanks though.
